No I am raising cash for a big play and I have not found it yet.
Remember XOMA that I mentioned a couple of days ago. There it goes.
Even though I have three degrees in science and most people do not consider me stupid--I make stupid plays like CORR because I thought I was right and the tape was wrong. A few of my friends tried to warn me but they were too nice. If they had just said stupid and stubborn I would have known exactly what they were talking about.
That would be split adjusted.
I just wanted everyone to know that I am a big gambler and sometimes I lose big. With BCON in the bank and GTEL winking at me maybe I can make it up. Do not feel too bad for me cause I am pretty well off. I would feel terrible if someone had followed me through that door and got bagged as well. My son is a cop and went through a door with his squad and a high caliber deer rifle took out the first one in with a bullet through the heart. The second one in was shot twice and my son being third through the door had to keep the rounds going while trying to rescue his partners. That is a tough loss. He survived but the others were not so lucky. Nothing really matters much unless they shoot you.
Well I just took a well deserved bath. A blood bath. I dumped out of CORR that I had been accumulating for about a year. Everyone has a white flag and I had one sticking out of every orifice. I do not even want to tell anyone how much it cost.
ICOR has gone up 30 percent since I said I missed it. I am getting way to cautious but seriously I did not want any beginners to chase that running dog and get hit by a car.
There is an interesting dynamic going on here. I was a scientist and professor for over 40 years. When we had a bad leader we all spent most of the day waiting for the stab in the back and wondering where it was going to come from. Mac as a CEO of a company knows this dynamic well. He hand picked the core for this board and I see the respect, the kindness as well as the wealth of information the group is willing to share with the new posters. Power when used correctly is used for facilitation and not ego. These boards are dangerous places as most have learned if you are not battle tested. The board guru usually is an accomplished con artist. He has a whole cadre of followers that help the "true longs" (I call them pumpers) defend the board against the naked short sellers and bashers. When the crowd is rabid with greed and in a feeding frenzy they sell slowly into the run and when it is over they disappear to work another stock. I just had a person help me that I have only known for about a week. If we put all of our experience, eyes and ears as well as technical knowlege together for the good of everyone this could become the best board on the net.
Thank you Sonic I bailed at 1.04 for a nice little scalp. I do not want to butcher a great trade with a stupid one.
Thank you but my anus just puckered up with that news.
Thank you. I am going to check it out. I have been trying to get a read on BCON and seems it tested the early low so I took a shot at .97.
I also like SHGY here. It always runs from this level. I have played it several times.
Since I missed ICOR I am looking to take another swing at BCON just about here.
I let the board down today because a friend gave me ICOR last night and since I had no free cash to buy it I did not post it up. It is running like a wild dog.
Interesting thought. I always wondered why my funds always did so poorly. After I retired I got a lump settlement of 385,000 and my fund manager told me that his past performance of negative 5 percent really was pretty good in a bad market. He told me it would be foolhardy for me to manage my own money. It was fun showing him my portfolio after two years.
OK Mac give me a good entry point on xoma using fancy technical expertise and see if we both come up with a good entry point.
The run to the bell yesterday the panic buying after hours and the fact that amateurs buy anything that is running in the first hour. The first hour of the day is amateur hour and they are almost always wrong.
They took it at 1.38 and I am out.
I did not sell.
MWC--I made almost a million dollars trading ERHC in the past and when I bought it at .08. It reminds me a lot of SIRI which had a lot of hype and just sat there for what seemed an eternity. I was in big at .40 cents and sold for a double only to see it go on to hit nine bucks. This one will be paying its holders for years.
Here is the news for my pick of the day.

Thank You Dad. I do not spam boards or pump stocks. I have some friends here that I have known for a long time and I simply tell them what I am playing. When I see a stock mentioned I check it out and buy it or I put it on one of two lists. One is called my watch list and the other is the ----list. Use your imagination for that list. I do not promote myself or other posters. When I find a stock of interest it becomes my pick and I take responsibility for it. You will notice that there is no back stabbing here and nobody calls me names for my bad picks. We have a great board here and I want to keep it that way.
Here is my pick for the day. Get in early.

Mac when I first started using the internet I had the same experience that you had. Pumpers and Bashers both hate me and that is good. The real pros will give you one heads up and let you decide. As you have noticed I try to follow the same pattern. I rarely mention a stock more than once. When I am wrong I usually unload in an hour or maybe a few days. I have TRBY in my IRA and will hold that one for years if nothing material changes. The population is getting older and I do know all about arthritis. My other account is set up to move on a moments notice. We have all been conditioned to take a few cents because of crappy market conditions. I am seeing large moves that I have not seen in years right now.
Since we do not have a bunch of "a" holes here I am sure my good friend Bob will not mind and would be very happy to have you as a regular on his thread. I am a regular there and they have a select group of proven traders. Just say that I recommended the board to you and I am sure they will make you feel welcome as they did me many years ago.

Mac when I first started posting here I stated that I am retired and cruise the boards all day long looking for prospects and when I find some that look good I either put them on a watch list or start buying. I am using the best traders on the internet to get trading ideas. I am sure if they did not want their picks used by people like me then they should use private email.
Thank you Mr. Dawg. I was one of Mac's late round draft choices when he set up this board. He said he did not think I would make the cut and is still not sure.
Every penny up on that one means about 11,000 dollars. I wish I had a million shares of BCON but then Donald Trump would be bothering me for another loan.
Mac I have some family members that are now following this board. I know that most of the regulars here know more about the ways of the market than I do. Hope you do not mind if I give some basic tips to my friends that read this board but do not post here. I expect to sell out both positions I entered today on strength early tomorrow. They may both go much higher but remember to sell the greed and not concern yourself if the next shift gets paid or not. I may have a good pick for tomorrow so stay tuned.
Sorry you missed out today. The next few weeks will be a great time to pay attention to exploding stocks. There is some serious money to be made now.
Mac just pulling on the chain. I actually make my own furniture when the mood is right. I have an arthritic arm and a numb brain most of the time. My real estate holdings have made me a millionaire certainly not my trading acumen. It is just so much fun finally having a board where we do not have to deal with the ego bullshit. As I have stated many times the game is bigger than any of us. I notice that TRBY is finally getting some bid support. That one will make some of us very thankful and proud that we stuck it out.
Mac I hire poor people to tear down walls. LOL

BCON News
Beacon Power Corporation (the "Registrant") has been awarded participation in two projects (the "Projects") with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and with the California Energy Commission. The Projects would involve the Registrant providing grid frequency regulation and reactive power by utilizing the Registrant's flywheel energy storage system. The final terms and conditions of the Projects have yet to be finalized, however, and the Registrant's participation is subject to this finalization of applicable contracts.

They are fighting death spiral financing as well as the announced reverse split. They are in a hot sector Wireless broadband and do have some nice acquisitions. The leverage here is incredible however and a good gamble at these prices. I do not use anything but the tape to make decisions and the tape is telling me that we are going up soon.
If we have any real gamblers here I think CORR is about to get interesting. I have been watching steady accumulation for several weeks. Disclaimer-- I own over 5 million shares and I sure paid a lot more than the going price. This one can make your heart strings sting, your liver quiver or drain your brain in short order. I do not think anyone is quite as prone to taking insane risks as I am but if I make a fortune and did not tell anybody I would feel bad.
Mac the news is about the awards with Nobel and Pioneer as partners. Nothing ever happens on schedule with that stock and I just do not follow it on a day to day basis anymore. It is a lot like TRBY in that everything looks good but the share price. I have been tempted to dump out several times to get into some of the runners we have had lately. I am not nimble enough to jump from horse to horse so I marry the donkey.
POCI chart looks good.
