Tonysd57,
Thanks for the details of the breakdown of outstanding shares, warrants, etc.
However, the totals add up to only 245.5 million shares - 8.5 million short of the 254 million. I mean, its close enough but if you can double check that would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
Here's the press release:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/cytodyn-provides-pro-140-combination-100000411.html
The PR was released at 6:00 AM this morning
Does anyone know how the convertible is that Tony C ponied up his $1 million for?
If it's anything like what Paulsen has offered, Tony gets 7% interest and at the end of the period has the OPTION to convert that principle and interest into CYDY shares. OR he can just keep the total principal PLUS interest.
How is this a big risk to Tony ???
Dumb question : I just added 5,000 shares to my 300k+ total at 10:47 AM. My order was filled at .70 so why does it show up as a SELL order and not a BUY order when looking at today's trading activity?
I know in order to buy someone has to sell....just wondering which side of that trade is being reported on? For example, if I put in a limit order to SELL, would this show up as a BUY order?
Anyone???
I love the dialogue about the reverse spilt. Thanks everyone. I can think of 2 examples where a reverse spilt did work: Priceline (PCLN) and Citibank when it was in the single digits.
Anyone else have some examples? Especially biotech?
There are VERY FEW exceptions when a reverse spilt actually DOES work. Look at Priceline (PCLN) and Citibank. Otherwise they are usually a disaster.
Hey trding, what do you attribute this VERY HIGH volume the past few minutes? Large buy orders ?
I believe Tony C. has the 'option' to purchase the shares OR keep his $1 million plus $35k interest. The thought being that CYDY will be worth MUCH more than .75 in 6 months so he'll exercise the right to purchase those shares. Not sure how long, if at all, he must hold those shares.
If it's anything like I participated in previously, yes, Tony 'lent' Cytodyn $1 million in a promissory note. But at the end of the term of the note (6 months?) the principal plus the 7% interest is convertible into shares at .75 and I believe it includes 20% warrants as well. He would get 1,333,333 shares plus an additional 16,666 shares due to the $35,000 interest from the note (7% annual interest for 6 months) as well as 26,666,666 warrants (I think the exercise price was $1.35).
Someone please correct me if my memory failed me.
I did a similar deal with Paulson at least a year ago for $50k. I got a 7% return on my investment and after 6 months I had the option of taking the principal plus 7% interest OR converting the entire principal plus interest into shares at .75 and 20% warrant coverage at .75.
It's great that Tony is willing to pay a premium of over 25% based on today's closing price. BUT....if this deal is like the one I did, he does NOT have to convert to shares at expiration.
Regardless I see this as VERY positive for us long term CYDY shareholders. And out day will come !!
Hyperbolic, I don't know you. But it seems rather odd that someone at CYDY like Dr. Burger would actually mention a stock price of what he thought CYDY would be worth.
What about the other regular posters here.....what do you guys/gals think ?
Is that Saltz that asked about the raise and Paulsen? Great question !!
Great points Saltz. Hopefully many of these questions will be asked and answered on the call tomorrow.
Please post details about the Paulson meeting at Morton's? I assume that's the one in midtown Manhattan on 5th ave?
When is it scheduled for?
I've invested in 3 rounds with Paulson but didn't know about this one.
Maybe some of us can meet there even if not invited we can still meet for a drink??
Being in a private placement with Paulson does not get you anything special....except warrants that are hopefully worth a lot in the future.
I've been in 3 separate private placements with Paulson over the past 2 years and have never been invited to any conference call. However, I was invited maybe a year ago to some shareholder event where I met Nader.
I recall just about a year ago that I sold 'some' at 1.38......snd was annoyed that it shot up to over 1.50 the next trading day .....and then when it went back to about 1.15 I bought some more. Oh how I long for those days ! Look it up....it was about April 8th or so.....
I bought another 5k shares at.605 to add to my 300K. I've done a few Paulson rounds as well with warrants
Does anyone get the feeling that someone knows something ? And that's why the share price is near its 52 week low. I have a lot of shares and trying to stay positive and know something will give sooner or later.
Ok. But you're making it seem like if you can sell CYDY for 1.20 then you're making 8x since the warrant cost you .15.
But the warrants have a strike price of .75 or 1.00. So if you exercise the warrant at 1.00 per share and sell for 1.20 then it's only .20 profit per share. The warrant allows you to buy shares at a certain price.
Am I missing something here?
I bought in on several deals for .75 per share and .75 per warrant. If I sell all my shares and keep the warrants and sell the warrants when CYDY is 1.25 I make .50 on each warrant since the warrant gives me the right to buy CYDY at .75.
Jboat,
Please explain how you calculate warrant costs to be .10 or .15 each.
I've been on a few deals for getting CYDY at .75 with warrants available having a strike price also of .75.
I don't see how you calculate .10 or .15
So with the very high volume from Wedmesday....1.4 million....and yesterday's nice volume of over 800k, why such low volume today?
Especially given the great job done yesterday on " I want a new drug?".
I hear ya Saltz. I'm holding on to all shares, maybe that's foolish. But that's what I'm doing. Good luck to all.
Saltz,
Great post. Just one correction sort of. While many people bought shares at .75 and warrants at .75, more recently I heard warrants are at 1.00 now. Maybe that's management's confidence not feeling they have to cater to investors as much as before?
This is my VERY first post. I've enjoyed reading all the posts here over the past few months.
Like Pears, I am heavily in CYDY. It's about 25% of my entire net worth. I have spent about $305k and now have 413k shares and 130k warrants.
I was never a big gambler, but if CYDY does what many of us expect, I can leave the bullsh$t corporate world!
