So thankful for your insight
Yep still going to be canopy but the ticker will be WEED instead of CGC
It's already been proposed by the TSX to canopy to which canopy publicly accepted
Wouldn't be surprised if an SL & aurora merger
Vert medical production license won't hurt.
Mail order rec coming August 2017 ? Maybe that's my early prediction
Also - we could be underestimating how much was shipped to Germany
Anyone know anything on Aurora? Rumor is they are buying radiant technologies - whomever that is?
Edibles coming #abouttime
There is a reason I said "eliminating A LOT of risk" - not "all of the risk."
I know damn well where my money is at, but if you watch BNN or other media commentary they always mention "what if legalization doesn't happen or what about they grey market"
These recommendations being made public should change their tune
Lots of details - edibles, topicals, other forms written into HC for both medical & rec. Confirmation that dispensaries must buy from LP's. Can Lp's have their own store front then? Can we start selling via snail mail earlier than 2018? I think most of these items are covered in a positive light for Lp's, eliminating a lot of risk that many still have about the sector. Should be fun IMO
Oregon has collected $54 mil in pot taxes this year, $10 mil more than estimated for the year

Do they monitor differently when there is a material event? What if a company reports 500% increase q over q or a biotech gets approval? They don't expect 10% moves in 10 minutes? Chump change!
Ditto
Not sure I'm sold on Bruce's suit haha

I am pretty solid, relaxed. Let the game come to you ;)
Must not be any news here for a few days. Lots of pissing matches and the random bearish newbs. All we need now is for Yoda / surfer girl to get upset at canopy and all of the signals for the next leg up will be in place.
Ah yes, $4.86. Probably coming monday ;)
Lol needed some comedic relief
I mean it's not even legal yet and is up over 300% the last 6 months. Why sell for a measly 300% return when you can get there on your own in 6 months again? ;)
Fun to ponder but I honestly believe it would take an extra digit, $10 bil, before he really began to listen
While we are on the talks of the mettrum buyout, what sort of premium would a company have to pay to scoop up canopy? If big tobacco, pharma, liquor made an offer....$5 bil ? I don't see them doing it obviously but curious what Bruce & the boards number would be
Oh gotcha, thanks!
Page Doesn't exist ?
Mettrum did 4.7 mil, after reporting 4.1 mil prior quarter - $600k growth. How many more quarters before they were going to get to $10/mil rev at that rate? 9 quarters away....As a smaller company they should make larger percentage gains in terms of revenue - but did not. Which is why the market dos not value them as #2. Aurora was gaining patients at a much greater pace and Aphria was ae to scale up production / patients quicker. All the potential was there, just not the execution.
Canopy reported 8.4 mil after reporting 6.9 mil. -$1.5 mil growth
Additionally, to better compare apples to apples....when canopy was in the mettrum revenue range back in the day....they were able to scale up by rapidly adding patients. When canopy reported $3.4 mil, the following quarter they were up over $5 mil - a $1.6 mil gain.
Mettrum gives canopy more dos e to continue the dominant growth pattern that they have shown.
First off, the sentiment that mettrum is the second largest producer is very much debatable. Market cap wise, the market had them ranked 4th which is a combination of current & future.
Mettrum's 2 most recent quarters were eerily similar in revenues. That's not good in a booming industry. Need 30-40% growth.
With recreational access coming & international expansion underway, $11.5 bil market cap for Cgc is 2-3 years away max.
Don't you think the mettrum board is interested in getting the most money possible? Well they unanimously said a resounding hell yes to this deal.
A lot of new eyes to the sector everyday and Cgc the most well known. My guess is a lot of retail buyers just buy canopy, not even aware of mettrum, the Mettrum deal or the spread.
Thanks for your input, the deal is happening. Congrats on becoming a proud Cgc shareholder.
I believe the bedrocan spread was similar right up until the end, but could be wrong in that. I do know that spread definitely existed for a good while.
Greenhouses struggle in the winter months. You need both to dominate. Also, there will be things like edibles, creams, oils etc that will be produced indoors.
Mettrum has a lot of acreage and the funds already invested from bought deals to build out large greenhouse space.
Canada isn't Hawaii....
If we didn't have tweed farms I would agree. Tweed farms will bring this number down significantly.
Yeah, Aphria isn't at $1 yet and there are no numbers that have been announced with tweed farms...not sure where you "heard 2.85" or im sure those same sources could've given you a heads up on the Mettrum deal
You realize this isn't including the greenhouse grow right? Oh, I guess you don't. This does not include the greenhouse grow at tweed farms
Out after holding the bag for so long. GLTA, I may be back just haven't kep up with the company too much. Although I did enjoy their weed!
Very true. I'm a fan of both however. A couple IPA's and some OG Kush this past Sunday was pretty ideal lol
