Can't expect to much, but can always hope for a Mr. Morris to say "when the FAA approves 3D printing for aerospace applications next month...I mean "when".
Thanks, good to know...
Just thinking out loud here, but do we know which 3D printers GE is using? Are they ARCAM?
Bummer market is closed tomorrow...guess I better get caught up on laundry...
When can we expect 10K?
Sounds good...any hints..?
Oh okay, thanks
Found a link to a job for Honeywell.
"Due to government programs and projects, " (DARPA?)
And:
"Expert knowledge of one or more of the following software packages: ThermoCalc, PrecipiCalc, JMatPro, SYSWELD, DEFORM." <----- is that Sigma's Printrite3d Deform? I couldn't find any others.

Gateway’s Advanced Manufacturing Expo April 17 Features GE Aviation Expert in Additive Technologies
Apr 15, 2014 - | 11:10 AM -
Greg Morris, strategy and business development lead for additive technologies at GE Aviation, is the featured speaker at the Advanced Manufacturing Expo April 17 at Gateway Community and Technical College’s Boone Campus.
Morris, who works closely with all GE businesses to promote and integrate additive manufacturing into a broad array of products and processes, will talk about additive technologies with specific examples of how GE uses them. Additive manufacturing is the basis for 3-D printing and other high-tech processes that enable the production of parts and prototypes without the need for molds or dies.
His talk at 5:30 p.m. highlights Gateway’s Advanced Manufacturing Expo. The event is designed to provide high school students, their parents and others interested in manufacturing careers with an opportunity to meet manufacturers and explore training opportunities.
Gateway’s Advanced Manufacturing Expo takes place Thursday, April 17, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Boone Campus, beginning in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at 500 Technology Way, Florence. The event is free and open to the public.
Old but still what keeps me long!

Agreed! With the MJ drama, I could sure use a nice PR from mr. Cola right about now!
Well spoken! Could be tomorrow!!! That's why I'm long and strong!

Aviation conference: April 9th, marketing director from GE aviation will be speaking regarding Additive manufacturing. How nice would it be if he mentioned the PrintRite3D technology and a Sigma Labs name drop? Hopeful thinking I suppose...

Gawd, that picture of Mark is terrible. Is it from a webcam at night...?!
Excited to see he's speaking and invited! Good things coming soon!
Nice article that further emphasizes why so much of Sigma's work is "hush-hush" lots of $ to be made in the manufacturing advantage..

I was a little disappointed too, but I read a ton of "trade secrets" and protect intellectual property. They're super paranoid about revealing anything so IMO are keeping it just as generic as they can regarding contracts etc.
