DQ Rev Shark buying DQ off LDK... Nibbling at China

The opening strength has been hit with some profit-taking, but so far the dip-buyers are providing some support and holding us around flat. Breadth is slightly negative and once again the precious-metals plays are leading the charge. The dollar is weak, and that is helping oil, coal, steel and other commodity plays. Retail and banks lag, which isn't a particularly good sign.
I continue to like the China plays and am looking at some of the solar names after a good report from LDK Solar (LDK - commentary - Trade Now). Daqo New Energy (DQ - commentary - Trade Now), which is similar to MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR - commentary - Trade Now), makes polysilicon for use in photovoltaic products. It had an IPO at $10 and is close to breaking to a new highs. It reports earnings next week. Origin Agritech (SEED - commentary - Trade Now), a China agriculture play, is breaking out of a multiple-top pattern on good early volume and I'm nibbling at that.
Long DQ and SEED but positions can change at any time.
TSTC has all positive technicals right now perfect setup & lets not forget TSTC went to $25 on 80% less growth then last year ... at 5X's this years net income plus big new awards from Big 3 being handed out makes TSTC a potential powder keg as 20% of Float short ... TSTC is thin cant imagine how 1.2 million shorts get out without driving this much higher
TSTC CEO stating Guidance mid Sept after 3rd Qtr was complete... Reports Next Monday before open...Link
http://www.telestone.com/english/investo...
Mr. Han Daqing, Chairman and CEO of Telestone Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:TSTC) and Richard Wu, VP of Finance, sat down with two China investor analysts at the conference on Tuesday, suggesting investors should consider investing in this company for a good reason. The company is on track with its forecasted revenue and earnings target of $129.4 million and $22.9 million for FY2010. That's an 80 percent top line increase from 2009.
According to the Chairman, investors have to realize that Telestone Technologies Corp. (NASDAS:TSTC) realizes 70% of sales in the third and fourth quarter of any given year, due to the seasonality of the business. Current stock price is under pressure due to "weak" first and second quarter results, but that is about to change, according to the Chairman. Telestone Technologies 2010 second quarter results.
Investors have to realize that the first couple of months of the year is the time for the bidding process - companies like Comba Telecom Systems (HKG:2342) and Telestone (NASDAQ:TSTC) bid for various projects. Most revenues recognized in the first three months are spillovers from last year. Once the bidding process is done, installation starts. These projects include wiring high rises and other mostly concrete structures buildings where normal cellular signal penetration is low. Telesone Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:TSTC) provides comprehensive solutions for such structures enabling all three national carriers, China Mobile (NYSE:CHL), China Unicom (NYSE:CHU) and China Telecom (NYSE:CHA), so boost their signal within such hard to penetrate buildings. Besides top three carriers, Telestone's fibre optic cables can carry other signals, including cable TV, internet and so on. Bandwidth of the fiber optic cable is 1000 times over the RF coaxial cable in IBS, arch rival Comba Telecom Systems (HKG:2342) uses.
If their company can deliver on its promises, current stock price looks trading at a discount. Investors have to realize that the stock price got a significant boost about the same time last year, going from $6 to $24 in three months, when investors realized that the upcoming two quarters are going to be just robust. But the stock fell back to under $10 and volume diminished as the first two months of 2010 were far off from 2009 third and fourth quarter numbers.
CHBT hit piece out... China-Biotics drops ~$0.20, hearing weakness attributed to negative Citron Research story, site has been out negative on the co previously (13.71 +0.10)
I posted on CCME many many times how over the years China small caps come in & out of favor & that sooner or later money would rotate back into China co.s especially with many fund managers chasing performance in the last Qtr.... What better place then a sector with the best growth & ALL trading at 5 & 6X's earnings ..... Just had to be patient through the pain for a bit....

One of my favorite China plays right now is a company called New Energy Systems Group (NEWN - commentary - Trade Now). The company has done well providing lithium ion batteries and other mobile power sources for the booming demand in China. The company is launching its products in the U.S. this year. However, what is particularly interesting is that the company is a stealth play on Apple (AAPL - commentary - Trade Now).
New Energy Systems' wholly owned subsidiary Shenzhen E'Jenie Technology Development was recently licensed to manufacture backup power systems and accessories for Apple's mobile digital devices. The company has devices that power iPods, iPhones and iPads and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple's performance standards.
The Apple connection was just announced on Sept. 7 so it may not have any immediate effect on the financials, but on Sept. 23 the company reaffirmed guidance of $1.23 per share for 2010. The company stated, "We continue to generate very strong organic growth within all four of our businesses, including Anytone, NewPower, our battery distribution business, and our battery shells and caps segment. In particular, our Anytone business is rapidly gaining market share within China due to strong demand for our back-up battery chargers. As a result, we are extremely confident in achieving or exceeding our previously issued guidance for 2010, and anticipate very strong top and bottom-line growth in 2011."
The company has a trailing P/E of just 6, although earnings growth in 2010 will be around 50%. It is thinly traded with a market cap of under $100 million.
I have recently put shares in the Sharkfolio and will be actively trading it prior to its next earnings report which is due out in about a week.
At the time of publication, DePorre was long NEWN, but positions will change at any time.
Please note that due to factors including low market capitalization and/or insufficient public float, we consider NEWN to be a small-cap stock. You should be aware that such stocks are subject to more risk than stocks of larger companies, including greater volatility, lower liquidity and less publicly available information, and that postings such as this one can have an effect on their stock prices.

CCME I posted in the Pit imo CCME gets IBD top 100 Add this weekend .... but keep in mind EPS out Mon so ???? has had a monster run into earnings & experience says it might be a sell the news BUT if added to IBD could be a pop....& if EPS is Blowout ...
Its the same for all the last mile installers LOL... They have never been beaten out of a dime and A/R's climbing cause sales are climbing fast 100% last year & 80% this year ... The big 3 play the bully role but talking CHL is a 220 BILLION $$$ co. they are not going to beat TSTC or GRRF or any of the last mile installers....
TSTC again IMO only but looks like something big maybe setting up with the kicker being that HUGE line of credit 44 Mill $$$$ when they have never utilized more then 5 mill $$$ in loans in their history ??? the timing of field trials coming to an end for WFDS & new awards handed out ??? Also Of note TSTC has a registered shelf offering BUT didn't sell any shares at $19 when shelf became effective and certainly wasn't going to sell at $12 with CEO owning 3.3 million shares instead went for line of credit... What did TSTC have to show the bank to obtain such a large 5 Year line of credit when in China almost Always small loans & only for 1 year at a time ???? Just my opinion but if I'm right TSTC will be back at 52 week highs quickly with some WFDS wins....
TSTC agreed Joe it wont take much to set this off at 5X's this years NET & Big 3 awarding new biz as we speak TSTC has their proprietary WFDS ( only one that complies with Govt Mandate) in long term trials s/b announcing new wins on earnings & IMO Only could be double time if wins are large...
TSTC 1.2 mill short 6 mill Float at 5X's 2010 EPS...
http://www.thestreet.com/_yahoo/video/10897495/tap-into-telestone-china-watch-mail-bag.html?cm_ven=YAHOOV&cm_cat=FREE&cm_ite=NA&s=1
I don't know how many realize what may happen here with TSTC in long trials with Big 3 for WFDS deployment as #1 solution ( No other choices right now) and last mile access hitting high gear means TSTC could land 1 or all 3 of the Big 3 in China and become a very different co. instantly.... Big 3 spending 10's of Billions of dollars next year & just a small % comes TSTC's way will dramatically alter their Market Cap ...now only 125 million but what about a couple of hundred million dollars for WFDS sales next year ??? plus install labor and other parts ???? TSTC very well could be a $50 next year heck making 23 million this year if they double to 45 million at 12X's earnings would make TSTC a $50 stock...
Smart shorts have been covering slowly as #'s keep dropping every 2 weeks as a big 3 contract of size could turn TSTC into a $20 stock overnight quite easily...
Again though at 5X's earnings and tons of upside potential makes TSTC a great Risk/Reward stock imo....
Just read the 10K & latest 10Q 16-Oct-10 09:46 am Very interesting read seeing how the verbage used from the 10k to the latest 10Q is much more upbeat BUT lists over & over the Jan 2010 China Govt mandate for integrated product for wireless, Internet, TV, and TSTC's first mover advantage and only product that complies....
Now after reading in detail then read the latest PR of their 44 million $$$$ line of credit ??? Why in 10K & Q's TSTC has never utilized more then 5 million in bank loans so ask WHY 44 MILL $$$ Reading between the lines knowing what we know about WFDS proprietary product I think a sales explosion is imminent imo.....
Also of note NOT mentioned anywhere in an effort to increase sales & have a piece of the big 3 Biz for years & years to come look at this in 10Q.....
Capitalize on WFDS Leasing Model
We have recently pioneered a new WFDS leasing model. As opposed to selling our WFDS equipment to carriers, we are testing a leasing model in which we maintain ownership of the equipment installed on the property premise. The Big 3 pays us a monthly fee to “lease” bandwidth on the WFDS solution in order to deliver integrated services to the property tenants. We would in turn share a portion of the monthly leasing fee with the property owners in return for them providing us with space on the property to install our equipment. The Big 3 benefit as well as they will no longer need to pay upfront for the equipment. The leasing model would not only provide a steady revenue stream, it would also yield higher gross margins, and we expect it will be attractive to property owners and the Big 3. We are currently engaged in four pilot projects with the new model.
Some other 10Q Highlights ....
The Chinese government is committed to simplifying the telecommunications industry by standardizing the equipment used in order to create a more competitive market environment. In addition to standardization, there is a near unanimous government support of integration of high-speed Internet, Wi-Fi, television programming, and voice and data networks. In order to accelerate this integration, in January 2010, the State Council issued a directive for the consolidation of China’s three primary communication networks (telecommunications, television & radio broadcasting, and the Internet) into one,
The Chinese government recently issued a directive to integrate 2G and 3G wireless signal coverage, Internet, TV and radio, and voice and data services into a single platform. To help encourage the integration, the Chinese government has committed to provide financial incentives in order to increase competition and meet its projected timetable, which is expected to be completed over the next five years. We believe our WFDS product is currently the only solution in the market that can deliver an integrated service.
We believe our industry leading WFDS solution is the only commercially available solution that is fully compatible with the Big 3’s respective technology requirements and can offer integrated services in a single platform. Our WFDS systems can be deployed in various types of properties. We currently have received 60 patents for WFDS, and have an additional 40 filed patent applications for WFDS under review. In September 2009, WFDS technology successfully passed all United States Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, testing procedures. The FCC certification will not only apply to the U.S. market, but also to our WFDS products in Central and South America. We expect to gain significant traction in the indoor wireless coverage market through our first mover advantage.
We intend to increase our international presence over the next few years. We have already established partnerships with, and will continue to find and train value-added resellers and systems integrators in international markets to sell our solutions. We currently have six sales offices outside of China and intend to increase this number in the near-term. While we currently generate less than 5% of our revenue from sources outside of China, we expect the international market, especially the U.S., will represent a significant growth opportunity for us in the future.

The strong job numbers are having limited impact so far. Market players are a little nervous that maybe we are finally due for some selling of good news after the crushing of the bears who were quick to anticipate that sort of action on the Fed announcement.
Breadth is slightly positive and we have leadership in banks, which is a good sign, but the jobs news has strengthened the dollar and that is weighing on gold, oil and commodities. If we have an intraday reversal and take out the opening lows, the profit-taking will accelerate quickly. But as I keep saying, the dip-buyers are very hungry for some better entry points, and they should provide good support ... at least initially.
I have my eye on a few plays, but so many individual charts are extended now, the entries are limited. Jinko Solar (JKS - commentary - Trade Now) priced a secondary today at $36 and I'm averaging into a position there. The company has some great numbers and the solar sector remains fairly strong. Longwei Petroleum (LPH - commentary - Trade Now), which I mentioned recently, broke out this morning and I'm looking to accumulate more of that on a pullback.
There are quite a few interesting stocks, but they really need a rest at this point. A few days of consolidation would set some things up very n
CCCL do they have 2 offerings out now ? I haven't looked at the filings in a while knew about the insiders F-1 now doing a capital raise ? CCCL gonna need a major jump in volume to absorb the millions of shares they want to get out there. Thoughts ? Like the biz and valuations

We have a very euphoric open, and it is hard not to do some selling into the gap. I've sold down a number of things I've mentioned lately, such as Yongye International (YONG - commentary - Trade Now), TransGlobe Energy (TGA - commentary - Trade Now), Spreadtrum Communications (SPRD - commentary - Trade Now) and my stock of the week, China MediaExpress Holdings (CCME - commentary - Trade Now).
There is nothing wrong with the action, but my methodology is take some profits into strength, and that is what I'm doing. I try to sell incrementally, but when stocks go straight up, I end up with some small positions.
So far, I've seen little I want to buy here. I have my eye on a few things, but this feels downright frothy this morning, and we are actually pulling back a little now. Breadth is extremely strong at better than 5 gainers for each loser, and, as you'd expect, it is the weak-dollar plays (gold, oil, coal, etc.) that are leading.
Everything is in the green, and market players are feeling very upbeat. If I was a contrarian, I'd be saying that it is too positive, but I'd rather wait for some poor price action before becoming negative.
At the time of publication, Rev Shark was long YONG, TGA and CCME, although positions can change at any time.

Today's open is very similar to yesterday's, but you have to be concerned that market players will again become nervous as we await tomorrow's news. There is so much talk about a possible "sell-the-news" reaction that many market players are probably going to move to the sidelines, just as a precaution.
But so far, the very weak dollar is giving us a boost. Breadth is very strong at around four gainers for each loser, and every major sector is green, with energy and commodities leading and financials lagging a little.
The biggest change is that the big-cap momentum favorites like Apple (AAPL - commentary - Trade Now), Priceline.com (PCLN - commentary - Trade Now), Amazon and Google (GOOG - commentary - Trade Now) are acting well. There is also talk of Dell (DELL - commentary - Trade Now) making an acquisition in the cloud sector, and that is helping names such as Rackspace Holdings (RAX - commentary - Trade Now).
I'm sticking with some very short-term trades. Tianli Agritech (OINK - commentary - Trade Now), a China pork play, is breaking out on very good early volume, but I'm moving slowly and not rushing to make new buys right now.
At the time of publication, Rev Shark was long OINK and RAX, but positions can change at any time.
OINK have a feeling Rev Shark maybe coming in sent him a profile on OINK couple of times & again yesterday LOL lets see...
OINK wow best VOL day ever coming up $6.60HOD
