This New York Times article shouldn't have a negative effect upon POW. The lawsuit in question has been going on forever and might affect Marvel or Disney on some distant future date. POW has nothing but clear skies ahead and is money in the bank at its current low stock price! Disney knows very well that any movie they release with Stan Lee's name on it will attract millions of viewers. They may own 10% of POW today but they're likely to gobble up a much bigger chunk of the company before long. That's the way I see it, with or without my glasses on. GLTA during the first trading week of spring! I wouldn't worry about a thing.
The Jack of all Trades doesn't let anything get past him! Except, maybe a Ferrari once in a while. Nice find indeed, Jack! That's just what the stock doctor ordered! POWN is becoming renowned around the financial world! We'll soon be a household name on the way to penny stock fame. Monday should be another barnburner when the sleeping giants of Wall Street awake to pick the prettiest pinkie that ever bloomed! Stan must be having fun in his second childhood. It must be great to be so young at heart and sound of mind at his age!
It sounds like Stan is working on Manhatten Project II. I hope he comes up with some very explosive PRs in the near future that will lift our pinkie to mushroom cloud status! He's gonna blow 'em all away with what he has to say!
Well, at least we ended the day with the bid at 54 cents just like yesterday's close. We'll see 60 cents on Monday when the money men come back to town. They were on siesta today and will return with a vengeance next week. You can't always fly like a backwards duck. You might just quack up! Better luck to us when the bell next tolls so we can reach our financial goals. POWer to us people!
If someone bought 30,000 shares at the market, we'd close over 60!
Maybe, 65. This baby moves like a tornado on little volume if the MM isn't too stingy. He's keeping it close to the vest today. Must be planning something for next week. Someone give him an offer he can't refuse!
I hope we close at 60 cents today. That will make it easier to break 70 next week. No hurry though. It will happen soon enough.
Have a great weekend, my fellow POWsters and posters!
That's a more positive way of looking at it, DogN. POW should be a far higher priced stock than it is, no matter who's pulling the levers behind the curtain. Maybe these investment gurus are laying a firm foundation for our little gem and polishing it up like a teacher's apple. Just so they don't put a bit in the galloping stallion's mouth and rein in any price appreciation. We could go sideways but might be just one side or the other of a buck by this time next month. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
That could be true, DogN, but even the stock manipulators can't singlehandedly derail the natural progression of this stock. Are you saying that there will be a stock offering to dilute the value of our shares? Something to corral the stock to fit the plans of those wishing to uplist POW in a couple months? That could be a net positive but shouldn't put the brakes on our march to a dollar with big news straight ahead. I'm betting on the tape. Everything else is mere speculation.
No problemo, Z-Man. These announcements probably tie into Stan's recent allusion to the "big, spectacular movie" he'll soon be making with Disney. POW's stock price won't be undermined except by the Debbie Downers out there who want in at a cheaper price. Just listen to The Man and not the rumor mill is my advice for all!
Sleep the sleep of angels, Muley. Don't toss and turn just because you're about to buy the farm. I mean, buy another farm besides the one you have. You'll have more money than Long John Silver when POW goes to da moon at high tide in April! I like to report the facts. Just the facts like Joe Friday on Dragnet.
Stan himself started the rumor about these big announcements:

Lee to Make Two Exclusive Breaking Announcements at Anaheim Comic Con
New York, NY (January 29, 2010) –Wizard World Convention welcomes the iconic Stan Lee to the inaugural Anaheim Comic Con. Stan resides in California and is excited meet fans at an event in what he calls “his backyard.” This announcement is his first since Disney acquired a stake in Stan’s POW Entertainment.
“I’ve been pals with Gareb for 20 years and I’m a big fan of WIZARD magazine and the events he’s running. I’m really looking forward to the Wizard Con and to meeting all the fans—plus, there’s something else!” said Stan. I’m also eager to hear everyone’s reaction when I tell them my two breaking news announcements!” When asked what the announcements were, he just smiled and said, “Hey, everyone loves surprises!”
Of course, fans will have the opportunity to question Stan about those mysterious announcements and a lot more as part of the Anaheim Comic Con programming. And naturally, the pundit of POW! will also take part in the 100% Cotton Q&A session hosted by WIZARD Editor Mike Cotton. Other programming involving Stan’s appearance will be forthcoming.
“Stan has been a friend and mentor to me,” said Gareb Shamus, Wizard Entertainment CEO. “We have talked about having Stan to our shows for years, and I am finally happy to bring this gift to the fans in Anaheim. This will be a truly memorable experience.”
The 100% Cotton session is FREE to all attendees. Capacity is limited and seating will be on a first-come-first serve-basis.
And just to fill your plate even more, an exclusive Stan Lee interview will take place at Anaheim Comic Con and be part of the June WIZARD issue #225 and on GeekChicDaily.com.

Amen to that, PP. It's good we tested the fires of pink sheet hell today and came out unscorched. Stan could drop a happy bomb on us tomorrow and cause panic buying you don't see except at WalMart the day after Thanksgiving! No way, Jose, we sit in a 50 to 60 cent rocking chair with Stan on the loose!
I wouldn't be so negative about POW's price during the next two months, DogN. Look how it withstood the huge bear raid today, bouncing back all the way from a 30%+ decline! There's plenty more room to grow before this so called plan goes into effect. Stan will make some earth shattering announcements in April that will get POW flying high and other news can hit the wires anytime. We're not in a coasting mode and the only dead money is the kind not being put into POW today!
We're at 62 to 65 with 17,800 shares traded. Looking good just like it should! Get that big money rolling in and let the real fun begin! Happy trading, my fellow POWsters!
I hope you're right, DogN, about the next leg up for POW. It sure would be great if that move came before the fireworks we're certain to have in April. We should for sure exceed a buck a share sometime that month. As I recall, after the Disney buy-in news hit the telegraph wires, POW opened the first trading session of the year at 15 and had a high of 26 that day. It was amazing how the stock retreated to under 11 before snapping back in a big way. POW should never have traded under 50 cents with a genius like Stan running it. His track record for mega-hits should have guaranteed that his company be taken seriously. That day has finally come and we're all reaping the benefits! Onward and upward, ladies and gentleman. We should be trading in a vertical position for quite some time to come!
We ended with a wimper today but we might just be gearing up for some real action toward the end of the week. That swing to 70 sure felt nice during the 10 seconds it lasted! Let's try that number again tomorrow. Practice makes perfect. We could use a PR to stoke the fire and burn our way to a buck and change. That's something I'm sure that Stan could arrange. Excelsior and all that jazz!
POW usually goes out with a BANG at the end of the trading day. Let's hope for a repeat performance when the bell rings at the close!
I've lost count of how many days in a row that POWN has set a new high. The stock price is going up on solid fundamentals plus the knowledge that Stan will be announcing big developments one month from today. Hang on tight and brace for that long awaited flight to da moon! It's really coming soon!
If POW trading follows the usual pattern recently, it should close between 63 and 65 today, although any good news could put us into the 70s in a heartbeat. GLTA and don't drink too much green beer in honor of St. Pat or our new patron saint Stan!
Stan is back! POW is back! That makes for a happy me and a happy Jack! Three cheers and we're having a ball! Happy St. Pat's and the luck of the Irish to all!
Stan's creative genius is on display for all to see on the big screen. Soon he'll film a POWerful movie with Disney and go out in a Blaze of glory! Then he'll go out again with the Tigress and Nick at night! Boy, will that be one heck of a sight!
I sold a few along the way too, Martin, that I wish I had back. We've just gotta look ahead and profit from experience. There'll be plenty of profit from POW to make up for mistakes of the past! I hope this rally will last and last!
Stan's the best cameo actor since Alfred Hitchock! He's not the master of suspense but might just be the king of surprises! He comes up with something new every day. I wonder what he's up to tonight? Probably writing a big PR for the POW stock site that he'll spring on us tomorrow morning. Well, that would be a dream come true! You just never know what he will do.
Ride 'em Cowboy! Let's lasso some bigtime gains when this baby rattles those pots and pans of the investment world! We hit 63 and seem to be observing the 55 speed limit right now for a little breather. Then we'll be off to new heights, flying higher than Chinese kites! If we can jump like this without a PR, just think what will happen when Stan ups the ante in April! We'll all be cruisin to da full moon, shinin bright in the night.
Now that we're hoppin, there won't be no stoppin till we go from a 2 bit to a 4 bit stock! I'll bet my bottom dollar on that! Congrats to all who have patiently endured the trials and tribulations of the past several years. No more tears. Only cheers! Now let's take POW to the next level!
No foolin, Muley! Our buy volume was more than 2 to 1 over the sell volume and quite a few blocks of 10,000 or more shares were purchased at 50 cents! One person bought 41,000 shares at 50! That bodes well for Tuesday and we could have a nice, steady climb on the up escalator once again. Better that than an up and down roller coaster. That's too hard on the stomach! We're getting new true believers joining in on the party every day. At this rate, we might hit 4 bits by April, though I'll take a dollar by May if that's okay! Disney better hurry up and buy the whole pie while it's still rising in the oven. I, for one, would raise no objection to that!
This run up of POWs stock price is totally unlike previous ones. There are many positive and concrete developments with more on the way. Disney is in the mix and has virtually adopted Stan, hook, line and sinker! The formal adoption is still pending. Two big announcements are coming in April and the company is keeping us better informed than in the past. Stan's all over the place, keeping a very public profile. We could get more PRs anytime and the institutional investors are just beginning to notice our pinkie. Any number of things could trigger massive buying of POW so there's never been a better time to buy their shares than now. Well, maybe last December wasn't a bad time either. I sure enjoy this steady march from a nickel to a dollar. All for Stan and POW, stand up and holler!
I agree. If we take out the remaining sellers here at 50 and get some real volume, the sky's the limit for POW. When Stan astounds the Wall Street world in April, the springtime showers will sure bring us a lot of very green May flowers!
If we're at 50 now, what price will we be at on April 16th, the day before Stan mans the megaphone at the big Anaheim Comic Con the next day and spills the beans about that big, spectacular movie that's on the way! We should jump like a leapfrog over 70 (or 80 cents) come the 19th. That's only my humble, and totally non professional opinion of course. Anybody with me on that?
Nice rhyme, Pile-O! What will be the high and what will be the low? We're at 50 and there's no end in sight. Pay off the mortgage and buy any car in sight. If only my father in law had loaned me another lousy $5,000 for my second 100,000 shares at 5 cents! He should have done some homework or must have missed the Stan Lee inspired movies that have earned billions during the past 10 years! Don't bet against Stan or you'll wind up an also ran!
That's true, Nono. POW has been a screaming buy for a long time but most of the investment world was deaf to that fact until recently. I'm glad that people have begun to notice that the combination of Stan Lee and Disney is magical music to the ears!
A short pause for the cause is healthy for a growth stock like POW. It has increased in share price in a slow but steady pace for the most part. A slow boat to China is easier on the nerves than a rocket ride anyway! As long as onward and upward is the direction, time in no factor. This pinkie will make it to da moon at just the right speed with all hands on deck if Stan sticks to his master plan! We should just hit the cruise control and enjoy the ride.
Wouldn't it be great if the buy volume on Monday is 10 to 1 in favor of the buy side! I hope everyone sees the barchart 100% buy rating and takes it to heart. That would a fun day at the market!
My understanding is the Stan will make two major annoucements regarding POW at the Wizard World Anneheim Comic Con on Saturday, April 17th. He'll also appear at the huge San Diego Comic Con that runs from July 22nd to July 25th. He could well dish out more company news at that time as he has in the past. Thanks for your Seattle update, DogN. That's usin your noggin! We need more people as insiders at these conventions to give us the scoop and keep us in the loop. I'm sure that Stan's revelations in April will cause the financial world to take notice that POW is a real contender for the title of Pinkie of the Year!
Only a nuclear war will stop POW from reaching 60 cents a share by mid-April. It could go much higher than that but I like to estimate on the conservative side. A little wiggle room is good for everyone! Boogie, woogie, rock and roll. It looks like we'll attain our goal! Stan may be old but all of his stories have yet to be told!
We could have quite a one-two punch in the mext month, DogN, if your predicted event takes place and Stan spills the marbles at the Wizard Comic Con in April! We should settle into the 60s or higher when the smoke clears. POW might stretch its legs for a while before resuming its marathon to the dollar zone. At least we're at the big dance and I sure like our chances!
Until now, only guppies and minnows have fed on POW shares. I'd welcome a few whales and sharks to our little pond!
It's really amazing how strongly POW held up today! The last 10 trades or so were all sell orders and totalled about 43,000 shares, selling for 44 or 45 cents. Anyone buying 10,000 at the market toward the close would probably have paid around 50 cents per share! This bodes well for POW next week. If Stan says anything at the Seattle Comic Con this weekend of any note, we could go flying high as a kite when the bell rings on Monday! I predict a run into the 50s at least by week's end. My bones tell me we've got a POWderkeg here that's ready to explode! I hope my instincts are right. They have been so far.
Your patience is now well rewarded, Jack. May you live long and prosper as Mr. Spock would say. Thanks for giving us POW-right in the kisser! How sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet it is!
