How do you calculate "average share price" for more than one purchase of the same stock.
I assumed you just divide your "total cost" by the "total shares" to get the average share price, but I also heard somewhere that there is another variable in the equation, like inflation or something that will help to get the most accurate price per share average?
TIA
2 questions:
1) Is there a formula for average share price? Seems to me I
heard some time ago that there's more to the equation than
simply dividing cost by # of shares.
2) Why do some charts show more than black and white candles.
Some have black, white, and then red also?
TIA
Anda one, anda two
I heard a pundit on TV last night saying good things about oil services investments. ;)
I can dig it. lol Didn't think I'd ever say that about the price of oil. But DPDW and HMGP kind of changes a guy's perspective. lol
I use to own Intuitive surgical ISRG and am considering CTUM and then I got to thinking about the possibilities of a company like ISRG Da Vinci surgical robot combined with CTUM welding technology.
Geez, someday they could have an assembly line style OR. Yikes!
Your body will be lined up on the conveyor belt with everybody else. Then we will look up and see lowman at the controls preparing to do a multiple prostatectomy. lol (the man behind the curtain)
mornin' yall
Approx. $22,000 here chud03. Isn't learning fun! lol
Almost all of my loss came long before I joined iHUB.
Yo lady*b, punk here.
I finally got my PS.com account going and now I need the password to register for the tourney.
TIA
Yes, I did get the links but it's been awhile and I have been hot on another couple of stocks these days.
Thanx oc Have a good day.
Sounds good.
lowman, Has Raj. or Joe ever extended an invitation for share holders to see the operations such as Keith did with HMGP?
I live in Montana and could possibly find myself fishing in the Fort Peck area and it would be fun to see an operating sight if allowed.
TIA
Don't thank me. I learned about it from others. lol But I'm enjoying the ride.
Thanx lol
Maybe some could use these links for definitions, etc.

Thanx lowman. Sometimes the use of TA or t/a seemed to have been out of rhythm in the contexts that I read it in and I thought it might have other meanings.
thanx
Does TA or t/a have other meanings here at iHUB besides technical analysis?
I can dig it.
Doesn't it require a down-trend for the RSI showing overbought to be more valid? Aren't we still in an uptrend. My recent homework says the RSI can run high for an extended period in an uptrend.
Remember, I'm only a punk!
Just try to be careful with my chips pup, OK. lol
I know. I was also just kidding. We know each other well enough to know where we are coming from. No problem here my friend.
I was actually trying to expose FEB by challenging him but brikk made a point that it is just better that the mods & assit. do that.
Oh well, onward and upward. And don't forget to check out the iHUB poker tourney (free) on the FAT CAT board. Could be fun.
later,
punk
I finally found it, but thanx anyway righty. Have a good one.
punk
No really. lol
Hope you don't think I was defending FEB. I was actually calling him out to support his position as I think he was unfair.
Remember, I'm only a punk. LOL
Go ahead and delete this as I understand what is going on.
BTW, where do you find banned persons as i didn't see it where brikk indicated. I'll look again.
TIA
punk
Sounds like fun Creede. I play poker and have played many tourneys. I might jump on board if I can catch up on my stock studies.
Just remember one philosophy: Poker players never lie, but they sure do bluff alot. lol
thanx
Nice levels stevo. Let's hope we get there. GLTY and Thanx for your input.
punk
stevo, what kind of goals have you set for DPDW pps. For seed-money extraction and final profit taking?
No need to pin-point, just trying to get a feel from those of you who have been in DPDW for awhile.
TIA
Thanx Jag.
That was my plan as I have no intention of selling a single share.
Thanx Jag
Thanx Irish

Yo Jagman, does the recent chart history have an effect on whether the doji star is validated or is that a function of market psychology rather than previous performance of HMGP?
TIA
Yo Irishbull, A guy at TD Ameritrade told me that when you sell a stock you can buy another stock right away with the proceeds but then you must hold that new purchase for at least the 3 day "buy" settling period of the previous stock purchase?
He also said the 3 day settling period only applies to the buy end of the trade, not the sell end of the trade.
I'm confused a little here but maybe I missunderstood TD rep.
TIA
yep. lol
So that's why I saw all those arrows sticking out of lowman. I wondered why they were stuck in his back though? Oh well, go figure. LOL
I guess they make their money on the spread just like MMs? LMAO
Thanx brikk
Thanx brikk.
BTW, what's the trix?
OK. Thanx
I must be learning something, the two macd occillators showed me the same thing but I didn't know if I was interpreting it correctly.
I guess a guy wants to look at different macd periods to guard against false signals?
TIA
