I agree with you guys, but JD is going to have to be as transparent as he can. We have been around this for a long time now, and frankly, I feel more in the dark now than ever. Now the ETC divy is out of play, there is no excuse to not be as transparent as he can. Indeed, grow the company. But part of the growth process is a committment to transparency. Time is way overdue. All imo of course.
Great post. I think most of us feel that way, at least I do. LOL
Oh joy. Thanks
Well, certainly hope its the friendly type. Thanks again
Thanks for the info. Learning more everyday. Finally...
LFM, question. Since they are going to use the 100mil to "raise capital" would they have to sell them before releasing anything that could possibly increase the pps? For instance, some believe that they released final 2 quarters of fins for '09 and showed 4mil in rev's (just an example) the pps will run some. If they would sell during that "run" would that be legal? Sorry if I'm off-base or not making sense. TIA
Glad you got some. Crazy traders, so easily manipulated. Wonder how many the MM's picked up on all the wamu/leh drops? LMAO
Agreed. It will be interesting to see the reorganization plan to hopefully get a sense when Lehman will emerge from BK. I recall Mr. Marsal's goal as being in September, though he admitted people would say he is "nuts." We shall see. The coming days and weeks could be very telling.
Yep. Doesn't matter in the end. Judge Peck knows about it, Marsal knows about it, and so do the named companies. Let the suits begin!
Alyssa brings up a great thought. Has anyone seen anything in the report about ratings of assets/stocks?
Lots of suits on the way. I believe most will be settled. About the ratings of J's, isn't it plausible those ratings for ADR's were accurate? I'm basing this opinion on what a Depositary Receipt actually is. I've always maintained that IF the foreign company the ADR represented is still actively trading on their home exchanges and still in business, then why wouldn't the J's, C's, D's, etc have value of more then pennies? Just my 2c
LMAO! Amen. They act like this is news. Mark to Market accounting was a huge precipitating factor in the economic malaise. Obviously Lehman had some fault in its demise. All good, let's see the reorg plan!
Is that you buying? From a technical standpoint, what kind of bounce or whatever you wanna call it do you see? I guess without news, which I do not forsee coming anytime soon, no bounce?
Agreed. It is now time for posters here to mend their differences. Maybe it is time for a shareholder letter to the CEO of some kind? I don't know. I do not expect PR's anytime soon to be honest. At least not until they have the 100mil shares. Sigh...
How long will it take them to get their 100mil shares they are increasing the A/S by? You can bet we'll see no PR's until after that process is completed, imo.
There are still way way way too many holes here, imo. One, where has the $ come from to pay the sponsorships of the truck drivers. Next, now we know the share structure, is that tacit proof no insiders sold shares? AND, need to raise capital? If no insider has sold, why the hell would you not at the pps levels from when it was trading much higher?
Now there is no excuse to not release fins, none.
I believe you are correct. It says the reorg plan is expected to be submitted on or before March 15. I'd love to see them get burned by an early release lol
I don't want one dime of Gov't money, period. Lehman received no help from them, we don't need it now. Marsal and Co. have come this far without their help. Lehman will hopefully be the poster child for how not to bailout institutions with taxpayer or fiat money, and let the firms wind-down or reorganize themselves. Anyone notice AIG, GM? Keep the BHO administration outta Lehman's business. Just my opinion.
Thanks Coach. Sound logic to me. Hope to see what's under the hood in the next week.
Coach, in your opinion, what is the likelihood the next balance sheet we see will be thru Dec 31? Reason I ask is if they are going to file a reorganization plan this month, wouldn't it behoove them to show A/L to as near real time as possible? Thanks for your thoughts.
Generally speaking, what does everyone think we can expect to see in the reorg plan when/if it is released for public view? Will it possibly provide an idea of what is going to happen with equity stocks like the J's, C's, D's and so forth?
Shouldn't Coach and Troy get paid by the hour for the effort? What does Marsal bill by the hour? LOL
Too funny. Way to go Coach! Hopefully they see we expect full face
My Blackberry won't open it, what's the gist of it? TIA
I'm not picking on yours per se. Frankly I can see a market for it, especially in the 'look at me' society we inhabit. I looked at the 8K and filings and they speak for themselves. Assets and liabilities are what they are. You telling me a company that operates at a loss where L>A by the millions should be valued higher than another on the basis that it provided a filing or two? I will grant you EXPH has not filed the same, so we have no idea what its "stats" are. BUT, if they came out next week with filings and A>L by $100, then its worth would be greater, no? That was my point. I hope JD follows the example and does what he should do, so shareholders know where we stand. I'm glad yours is doing well. When fins finally come out, let's compare then shall we. I am tired of waiting, but it is what it is. It is my hope, and that's all I have at this point, that they have paying for their sponsorships with actual profits received in FY'09. I know your going to say by selling stock, but I mean real profits from goods and services. I guess we'll find out at some point, but who knows when. Sorry for being so verbose, particularly since brevity is the soul of wit lol. Good luck LFM. Do me a favor and throw a little good luck our way.
PS, I hope for your favorites sake, "players" don't show up and do their thing.
Agreed. I think we saw a little glimpse of that when JPM settled $8 bil in claims for about $550 mil. Quite telling IMO
Good for them. The Fed's letting Lehman collapse and the institutions that pushed them off the cliff began the huge mess our economy is now suffering. They need to be held to account and the public should know everything. It is absolutely shameful that Lehman was left for dead and companies like Goldman now trade in the 100's. Here's to transparency and Lehman's hopeful rise from the ashes!
If the pps is overvalued at this level, then every other pink sheet otcbb stock with few exceptions are way way way overvalued. Look at the real assets and liabilities of them. IF they even report fins, which most don't. Check out the balance sheet of LFM's favorite ticker. Look at all of them. They all suck if you truly want to value them. JD needs to file his stuff and let's move forward. Seriously Spring, the pps valuations on all these pink/otcbb tickers are crap. IMO, no actually that's a fact
Nice find Braden. Thanks for posting that.
I understand that POV. What I'm saying is use the local newspapers/media and get it out there. Wouldn't cost a dime. If there are messages left on an answering machine, play them for all to hear. Could be a teachable moment. We do need some clarification from JDB today, imo
I would go public and expose it. If that kind of stuff really goes on with publicly traded companies why not use it as an opportunity to take them on. Might give other companies I a similar situation to get the courage to fight it. I'd tell them to F off. Don't be bullied by people like that. Man up and fight. All in the event that this is the case. In all honesty, it just seems hokey. All IMO
My feeling as well. That is why I am extremely happy they have not received Federal money. In the beginning, I wouldn't have minded it, but now that is a blessing to not have that burden. Its like owing the Mafia, once your in their clutches there is no getting out. Maybe the next balance sheet goes thru 12/31? Would be nice.
Well, looks like many of you were right here. I have to admit being wrong. Today's event makes zero sense, even more so is the update on the website. WTF? In my opinion, more than a drive-by brief statement is needed. I just don't get it. That has to be the strangest sudden turn of an event I have seen. If there is something to this that is not negative, I sure cannot figure out what that is. Still haven't sold, won't, just will ride it until the end and hope for the best. Anyone talk to JD today? I've exhausted my efforts and really have no desire at this point to even concern myself with it. Good luck to all SOR's. We need it...
Coach, Mic, thanks for the replies. I believe ours have value as well. Much more than .10 imo. Let's see some balance sheets and that reorg plan! Speaking of reorg, where's that guy? LOL
Coach, did u read the article I posted about Noah repurchasing their Lehman ADS' for $4? What's your thoughts on that? TIA
I believe the article is these type of shares. Question is which class, C's,D's,J's,G's,F's? Also notice other large block purchases by other institutions. I would of sold them a portion of mine for $4 a share, lol. When do we get ours???
READ THIS ARTICLE! ARE THESE DEPOSITARY SHARES, ADS's?

Understood. Everyone knows how some of these boards can be. Thanks for your thoughts
Uhlmant, that short interest website/#'s has been an extremely contentious subject on another board I am on. Some folks say it is the daily short volume, others claim it to be not a one day total but an aggregate one. What is your take, cuz frankly, I don't know. I'm very interested to hear a dispassionate take on the subject. Sorry if OT guys/gals. Thanks, and go lehman go!
