i'll take almi for the qtr.
i'll take xybr for the year.
will these be placed in the script for the projectors? where?
we will have a problem in the script. it is better to be placed in a special folder if it can be done for us.
i wonder how it can be done without placing more stuff in the script?
i'm having trouble getting into this web for good ta.
http://www.stockta.com
is anyone else using this web today and having a problem?

HIET? spsc ,there was good volume that day in the correction phase.
hiet, that p&f chart was surely right by my call and not by them for a high pole signal. you see they needed more confirmation but i could see it jumped to quickly and had to back and fill the gappers.
the same goes for mddm and some of the other homeland security stuff.
xybr did correct too.
your chart for spsc is very interesting for our thoughts too.
nice information for us.
arctec, dcx "daimer chrysler" is sorry they made the merger with chrysler. this was said about a year ago the merger has cost them dearly for their profits. c was the old symbol for chrysler and now c is citibank stuff.
the gov't helped chrysler why back when they needed help and did very well. that omni car they made would not wear out. i had one and got over 190,000 before it went el zippo.
with these gas prices a new start for the car manufactures will bring heavy demand for the better gas mileage cars. f
and gm tool for the demand already and the pps is showing the demand is coming for better cars with better the gas mileage.
alternative energy companies are benefitting by the high gas prices. fcel, mcel.
say tim, i have one for the top gun if you have me in there yet.
i would like to place xybr for a pick. this would for ending april and may or my pick for the year. almi is another pick for the year. a subpenny pick for the year , lrcm.
cln could be too. they have a lot going for their products.
is it only one pick or more than one per person?
the news is going to be hot one day for xybr pps movement.
the ta and chart isn't that bad. fundamentals? they are strong all this april,2004.
i see in your script is like for a monthly thing.
are you doing it by qtrs.,first half, for the year? this would be nice too for the messengers.
say xybr is working the streets as the lady of the night does.
like spreading the news to all for profits and future profits.
xybr is working other countries today for their patent.
israel gives them a patent number for the jacket computer.
i haven't seen one but they must be a sight to see and how they work.
middle east surely can use these computers for all their needs.
recent news for xybr is "the firefighters" will be using the computers for communication with c.p.i. to the workers in the field. can you imagine how fast this will grow in 6 mos? i wonder who makes them "xybr"? i need to get into this to have a better handle for their products. has anyone done the real dd for them? i know trelax had done some.
my projections for xybr " is low $4.00 mid-term and long term over $8.00 ". there have been rumors of a buyout for xybr.
anyone here this rumor for xybr?
hi arctec and good afternoon and to all. yes that stuff is great. i get these everyday or when the earnings or whisper are given. i tried to do some in small increments but it took me to long to sort them in a part #1 etc. #6 is all bunched together and is harder to sort them.

trelax, here is some information for the bollinger bands.
http://www.bollingeronbollingerbands.com/
it is the band width for % movement with the volume.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
excerpts, bollinger bands.
The greatest myth about Bollinger Bands is that you are supposed to sell at the upper band and buy at the lower band; it can work that way, but it doesn't have to. In Method I we'll actually buy when the upper band is exceeded and short when the lower band is broken to the downside.1 In Method II we'll buy on strength as we approach the upper band only if an indicator confirms and sell on weakness as the lower band is approached, again only if confirmed by our indicator. In Method III we'll buy near the lower band, using a W pattern and an indicator to clarify the setup. Then we'll present a variation of Method III for sells.
Now, for Method I. Years ago the late Bruce Babcock of Commodity Traders Consumers Review interviewed me for that publication. After the interview we chatted for a while--the interviewing gradually reversed--and it came out that his favorite commodity trading approach was the volatility breakout. I could hardly believe my ears. Here is the fellow who had examined more trading systems--and done so rigorously--than anyone with the possible exception of John Hill of Futures Truth and he was saying that his approach of choice to trading was the volatility-breakout system? The very approach that I thought best for trading after a lot of investigation?
Perhaps the most elegant direct application of Bollinger Bands is a volatility breakout system. These systems have been around a long time and exist in many varieties and forms. The earliest breakout systems used simple averages of the highs and lows, often shifted up or down a bit. As time went on average true range was frequently a factor.
There is no real way of knowing when volatility, as we use it now, was incorporated as a factor, but one would surmise that one day someone noticed that breakout signals worked better when the averages, bands, envelopes, etc., were closer together and the volatility breakout system was born. (Certainly the risk-reward parameters are better aligned when the bands are narrow, a major factor in any system.)
Our version of the venerable volatility breakout system utilizes BandWidth to set the precondition and then takes a position when a breakout occurs. There are two choices for a stop/exit for this approach. First, Welles Wilder's Parabolic3, a simple, but elegant, concept. In the case of a stop for a buy signal, the initial stop is set just below the range of the breakout formation and then incremented upward each day the trade is open. Just the opposite is true for a sell. For those willing to pursue larger profits than those afforded by the relatively conservative Parabolic approach, a tag of the opposite band is an excellent exit signal. This allows for corrections along the way and results in longer trades. So, in a buy use a tag of the lower band as an exit and in a sell use a tag of the upper band as an exit.
The major problem with successfully implementing Method I is something called a head fake--discussed in the prior chapter. The term came from hockey, but it is familiar in many other arenas as well. The idea is a player with the puck skates up the ice toward an opponent. As he skates he turns his head in preparation to pass the defender; as soon as the defenseman commits, he turns his body the other way and safely snaps his shot. Coming out of a Squeeze, stocks often do the same; they'll first feint in the wrong direction and then make the real move. Typically what you'll see is a Squeeze, followed by a band tag, followed in turn by the real move. Most often this will occur within the bands and you won't get a breakout signal until after the real move is under way. However, if the parameters for the bands have been tightened, as so many who use this approach do, you may find yourself with the occasional small whipsaw before the real trade appears.
trelax , you are very welcome. here are some excerpts "NIPAH"
) China has just reported at least nine people who have been infected in a new outbreak of SARS. Hundreds of others there are quarantined.
At the same time in Bangladesh, American scientists are trying to contain an epidemic of another killer virus, called Nipah.
SARS and Nipah are examples of viruses that just seem to come out of nowhere every year or so. They're the latest in a list that includes West Nile Virus, Monkey Pox, Avian Flu and HIV.
In January, Correspondent Scott Pelley reported on a new kind of detective -- virus hunters -- who are looking for the next big killer.
They believe that if they'd been tracking HIV in the '70s, they might have stopped AIDS before it killed more than 20 million people.
Today, these virus hunters are on the trail of Nipah, which has identified this week as the killer behind a new epidemic.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the hospital wards of Bangladesh, at least 40 people have died in the Nipah outbreak that started in January. About half of them died in just the last week; many more are infected.

Reports: China bank officials deny halt
By Lisa Twaronite, http://www.CBSMarketWatch.com
Last Update: 12:39 AM ET April 29, 2004
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Chinese banking officials on Thursday denied media reports they have banned new lending to help slow China's overheated economic growth -- reports that contributed to a stock pullback on Wall Street and a sharp drop in gold futures.

Hong Kong media reported earlier Thursday that China's four large state banks had been told to suspend new loans until May 1 and that smaller commercial banks also reportedly have stopped new lending, anticipating tighter loan policies from the government.
A story in the online edition of the Wall Street Journal reported an official at the China Banking Regulatory Commission Wednesday denied any halt to lending. "We didn't issue such a notice," the official said.
A People's Bank of China spokesman also said it had not issued such an order. "We have never made a such a requirement. We have absolutely have not done that," the spokesman said.
Yet the China Securities Journal, a publication linked to the Chinese central bank, also reported the loan moratorium and said it is scheduled to last until a weeklong holiday begins on Saturday, according to the Journal.
Bank executives, according to the report, said the order offered no explanation for the lending halt although some indicated such a move might cause serious economic disruptions.
"Several Chinese commercial banks have suspended new lending until May 1," said Tai Hui, a global research economist at Standard Chartered Bank's Hong Kong office. "They anticipate the government could announce further measures to cool over-investment and slow lending growth.
"Although higher interest rates are an option, several senior central bankers have played down this possibility for the near term, he said. "China's determination to cool down the economy also poses another area of uncertainty for investors. May 1 is a key date to look out for, as the PBOC could be planning to announce a new set of tightening measures.
"More importantly, its influence will go beyond China,: he said. "Prospects of Asian economic growth, commodity prices and the FX market are also increasingly linked to China's pulse. The recent sell-off in the commodity-related AUD/USD is an obvious example."
China's State Council this week issued guidelines for companies in the cement, steel and real-estate sectors, ordering companies in those sectors to lessen the amount of bank loans, and use more of their own money for new investments, the official Xinhua news agency reported. The move was made to curb over-investment in those sectors, the news agency said.
Concerns over the impact of China's effort to stem the fast pace of its economic growth are reverberating in the global economy. News the country would take steps to slow growth contributed to a 1.3 percent decline in the Dow Wednesday and a 2 percent drop in the Nasdaq Composite. See Market Snapshot.
Gold futures logged their biggest hit since January, falling as much as $15 an ounce Wednesday to a six-month low, as investors feared that new rules in China would reduce bank lending and slacken the Asian country's demand for metals. Read Metal Stocks.
For now, "any signs that Chinese demand will slow is seen as a negative sign by investors here, especially funds selling for technical reasons," Standard Bank analyst Robin Bhar told AFX News. But overall demand will eventually help the base metals prices recover, he said.
Lending in China is ballooning, with many commercial banks reporting new loans growing at a rate of 40 percent a year. The government is seeking to temper corporate investment, but does not want to dampen consumer spending.
While fears that China's economic engine could sputter dented stock markets in the United States and Europe, economists said the real concern about China is not a slowdown but the opposite -- that the country's economy would continue to grow at such a rapid pace that any eventual decline would be severe.
"Our core view is for a soft landing in China, which will not unduly derail the global business cycle," said Desmond Supple, head of research at Barclays Capital in Singapore
"The real risk is that China doesn't slow down in some kind of orderly fashion and that is it forced to deal with constraints that wrench it down without control," said Robert Brusca, chief economist at Fact and Opinion Economics. "Everyone is hoping for some slowdown in China because it is straining resources right now," he said.
Under a pall of worries about developments in China, declines in commodities dragged down stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region Thursday. Shares of South Korea's largest steelmaker, Posco (PKX: news, chart, profile), fell more than 6 percent by midday. Australia's BHP Billiton (BHP: news, chart, profile), the world's largest global mining company, was down almost 3 percent. See Asian Markets report.
Japanese financial markets were closed Thursday for one of the Golden Week string of holidays.

vThe Anti-Terrorist Map
The Daily Reckoning
Paris, France
Wednesday, 28 April 2004
*** Not much action in stocks... Housing keeps heating up...
*** Greenspan is lambasted! The Fed chief walks on very
thin ice indeed...
me: hmmmm , greenspanomics on thin ice?
*** Gas prices soar... "Consumers pushed into ARMs" of
lenders... maps to be aware of... and more!
---------------------
"Housing expected to heat up," says a blurb from USA Today.
Odd. Housing is already so hot, it is sending off sparks.
me: housing is az. is very strong. community after community are going up like gas stations grow in many areas. we are the third largest growing city in the u.s.a. with population under 500k.
New home sales... and resales... are both rising. In many
cities, house prices are rising at 20% and more annually.
Some second-home communities have seen 50% gains in the
last 12 months. And yesterday's news included a little
item: a single parking place in Manhattan sold for
$160,000.
Even in Baltimore, property is soaring. In the early '80s,
we recall driving down a handsome street in a bad
neighborhood. We pulled over to admire a three-story
townhouse built for rich people in the 1860s.
While we were looking, a man in overalls came up and said:
"You want to buy that house?"
He seemed shocked when we replied, "Yes."
Turned out, he had bought nearly a whole block of them in
the '70s at an average cost of less than $10,000 a piece.
The one we looked at was one of the best of the lot - which
he sold to us for $27,500, along with a couple of others we
bought as investments.
We spent years working on our house. Your editor scraped
off wallpaper and repainted... fixed the plumbing... and
killed the rats. In addition, we probably invested about
$60,000. Today, it seems like nothing... but it was a lot of
money to us back then.
By the early '90s, the house was beautiful, but the
neighborhood was almost as ugly as it was when we first
arrived. We were happy to get rid of the place for less
than we had in it - about $80,000, as best as we can
recollect.
But yesterday came word that a house down the block just
sold for $278,000!
We share, vicariously, the sellers' joy. And we wish the
buyers "bonne chance." Last we heard, the neighborhood had
scarcely changed. The house itself, we know it well - we
used to own it, is the same house it used to be... except
perhaps for new paint and a new kitchen. Rents have risen
in the area... but no more than costs, and certainly nowhere
near as much as house prices.
And now we come to the marvel of it all. When we owned it,
we had an 'asset' which was mostly a pain in the neck worth
about $30 or $40 thousand. Now, another person has an asset
worth, well, $280,000. Society as a whole is a quarter of a
million dollars richer, right?
Alan Greenspan claims to think so. He told senators that
they needn't worry about how much debt consumers ran up -
because the value of their homes was rising, too.
A house is just a house. But consumer demand is not always
real consumer demand. Before houses became multi-purpose
financial assets - that is to say, when we still owned the
house in Baltimore - we might have been able to borrow,
say, $30,000 against it. Now, an owner could get $250,000.
If it goes up another 20% next year, the new owner could
'take out' another $50,000 in 'equity.'
But what is this strange new purchasing power that comes
without sweat or strain? It is not the same purchasing
power that comes from actually earning more money... or
spending the savings accumulated from previous earnings. It
is nothing more than credit - money borrowed against an
asset that is worth, in terms of the benefit it provides to
those who shelter within its walls, or the stream of
earnings it could provide if rented out, no more than it
was worth when we owned it 10 years ago.
Borrowed money is not the same as saved money. Real
consumer demand is not the same as phony credit-based
demand. And just because his house has gone up in price
doesn't mean a consumer can go further into debt without
risk.
Household liabilities equaled about 60% of income in 1960.
Today, they are close to 110%. American households have no
more money to spend. Their incomes stagnate. Their savings
are depleted. They are only able to continue spending at
the current rate by borrowing more of the inflated value of
their homes. Last year, an amount equal to 4.5% of income
came from this source. Now, the whole world economy depends
on it.
Mr. Greenspan must know it is absurd. Healthy economies do
not depend on real estate bubbles. And healthy households
do not pay their bills by refinancing their mortgages.
But here at the Daily Reckoning, as you know, we are such
naïve optimists. We assume Alan Greenspan is merely telling
senators what they want to hear, rather than what he
actually believes. We'd rather have a liar than a fool in
charge of America's central bank. Our worry is that we have
both.
But now, for more news... here's Addison:
-------------
Addison Wiggin reporting from historic Baltimore...
- We are not the only ones to criticize out fearless Fed
chief. Ian Macfarlane, the man dubbed 'the world's most
successful central banker' by the Sydney Morning Herald,
has lambasted Greenspan's reflationist policies in an
article in the same paper. "This must surely rate as one of
the most searing critiques Greenspan has ever received from
a fellow central banker," remarks the Herald.
- Not only do the wizened old wizards of Washington not see
what trouble they are stirring up here in the homeland, but
they don't seem to see what havoc they are wreaking on the
rest of the world, either. Half the planet sets its
currencies against the greenback... so actually, Greenspan
is de facto setting monetary policy for much of the world.
- Meanwhile, 'the world' is supposedly entering a third
consecutive year of accelerating growth, the Sydney Morning
Herald tells us. And yet, Sir Alan's monetary and fiscal
policies are more expansionary than at any time since World
War II. "This torrent of money has primed commodity prices
and frothed East Asian financial markets into a frenzy that
looks suspiciously like 1997," bemoans the paper. "If
Greenspan doesn't take his foot off the pedal very soon
he'll put the world at risk."
- Twisting the knife, Professor Warwick McKibbin, a fellow
board member at the Reserve Bank of Australia, adds his two
cents to the debate: "We've got the loose monetary
experience of the 1970s with its inflationary danger,
together with fiscal insanity greater than in the early
1980s, crunched up into the present. What American
policymakers appear to underestimate is that the world is
highly integrated. If you are generating inflation in the
rest of the world, it is eventually going to show up in the
U.S."
- But despite apparent bursts of lucidity, McKibbin is
really just a naïve optimist at heart - he actually thinks
there's a 10 to 15 percent chance that Greenspan's
"promised productivity bonanza" will "absorb the excess
liquidity and generate fiscal revenue, and save the world
from possible disaster." We would put the chance of Mr.
Greenspan saving the world at about, um, zero.
- But the million-dollar question du jour is... will the Fed
raise rates, effectively putting an end to its E-Z credit
policies? "Let's be clear about this," writes our friend
John Mauldin. "They are going to raise rates. The question
is not if, but when."
- We agree - a 1% interest rate is, as your Paris editor
has remarked, reserved for emergencies. But by slipping
vague and soothing terms like "patience" and "considerable
period" into its official statements, the Fed has lulled
the lumpen into an expectation that rates would remain
low... forever. Now, investors are beginning to wake up and
smell the coffee.
- Greenspan is walking on very thin ice. And like a
mountaineer stuck on a glacier riddled with crevasses, he
will need to tread very carefully indeed if the bond
market's expectations are to be shaped for interest rate
rises. One false step, and the massive carry trade - which
took years to wind so tight - may unravel alarmingly.
- "I think the Fed will start to change their language and
start to clearly let everyone know that they are going to
start raising rates," says Mauldin. "I am not certain they
think that a two-month warning is enough time to allow the
markets to adjust. For what it's worth, I think it would
take more than two months to unwind the massive carry trade
we see today without causing some real market turbulence.
Perhaps I am just an old worrywart, but I like these type
of things to go nice and slow. Speed kills."
[Ed note: To read John's full remarks on the possibility of
a Fed rate hike, see his article on the DR website:
Will They Raise or Will They Stay?
http://www.dailyreckoning.com/body_headline.cfm?id=3895 ]
- Mr. Market seems to be confused - or perhaps he's just
poking fun at the Fed. At any rate, bad news seems to give
him a perverse pick-me-up... while good just drags him down.
Yesterday's solid consumer confidence numbers fell on deaf
ears - the market was loath to go anywhere. The Dow and S&P
gained a little (up 0.3% and 0.2%) while the Nasdaq lost a
little (down 0.2%). The Dow closed at 10,478, the S&P at
1,138 and the Nasdaq at 2,032.
- Benchmark Brent crude futures hit $34.33 yesterday -
their highest levels since the Iraq war - while U.S.
gasoline hit a lifetime record of 1.2040 a gallon. This
latter occurrence prompted Mr. Greenspan, addressing an
energy conference in Washington, to issue a warning of his
own: the "dramatic" rise in oil and gas futures is
apparently "an economic event that can significantly affect
the long-term path of the U.S. economy."
- For once, we agree with the man. But unlike our Mr.
Greenspan - and regardless of gasoline prices - we do not
profess to see much chance of a booming U.S. economy over
the next decade. The best we are hoping for is a soft, slow
slump.
-------------
Bill Bonner, back in Paris...
*** "Consumers pushed into ARMs" says a USA Today headline.
It will interesting to see what happens when rates rise...
*** Consumer confidence is at almost a 2-year high.
*** Gasoline is getting more expensive, as it does almost
every week.
*** On this day 60 years ago, 749 American soldiers died.
They were off the Devon coast, practicing for the invasion
of Normandy, when their landing crafts were attacked by
German E-boats.
me:
