watchin Fast Money now..the only way I'm able ta 1/2 way keep up w/all this...sure hope Shelby a few mins ago wasn't posturing for McCan so McCain can come off as a shinning White Knight here & say the package is on.
I am feelin a lil relief in Shelby's words of a few mins ago....there is no deal & that he's rec'd many inquires from several financial Guru's, MIT, Yale, etc who've ALL said there's a better way & the Paulson plan is not the best way to approach this....hopefully those cooler heads will prevail at the last min here.
& I don't believe we need a package by this wknd as Adami is sayin.....we could go another week or 2...jus so long as the mrkts are aware that they are working on all this in the interim.
& now back to the show ;)~
but wait a min....
according to Zeitgeist.....there's NO law that states taxes in & of itself are even legal?
However, if u can find a loophole allowing you to earmark this bailout as a loss that can applied as an offset to any gains....mo'powa 2 ya....& while u r @ it, pls advise of how u were able ta pull it off....I'm sure my CPA would like ta know ;)~
Can always count on the Jester for some good comic relief.
Seems to be comin back 4 ya now....hang in there...unless of course you've stopped out earlier.
That's one of the pi$$er's about 4x....much of time when ya get stopped out, the trade ends up goin back your direction after it's all said 'n done. Exactly why havin a large bank roll is the best insurance policy...almost impossible ta lose if ya have 20-25K+ & of course have your 4x head screwed on relativeley straight.
I'm now short both the euro/us & aud/us...both not lookin good right now down 20 & 16 pretty much right oudda da gates...sure missed this latest call.
Steppin away for awhile....
Thx Mugur....a t'stop is def something I wish Oanda offered....I've been sayin that here for sometime indeed.
Your sugg sure sounds like a good one...2 brokerages...thx for the thought. I guess going forward there's really no reason (other than lazyness) for me to fund a nickel & dime acct over at Oanda...if anything just to try & utilize the capital preservation strategy. I guess I'm not too excited about trading $5 positions...lol But by the same token, I should at least begin trading under the psyche of it being w/live ammo.
On the bailout front....sadly it sounds as if we've been bum rushed into a bad & expensive decision...why on earth didn't they at least discuss the privatization option?
F'n unreal!!! 3K a head...it should at least be spread out over 5+ yrs time.....tphhfftt!!
Edit: watch the greenback continue in bull mode for awhile longer.....call it a head fake if ya will cuz it should be tanking w/this bailout.
I smell inflation right round the bend....& Ben will make it worse if he chooses ta lower rates...even by simply keeping them where they are aint gonna help any.....wish he had da kahoonas ta nudge'em up.
30+% roi over a 4 day period.....damn good...approx 8%/day. There's no way I could put up $500/day....at least not at the beginning...maybe 1/2 that at the most....& more realistically closer to $100 ta $150/day max!!
Sure wish I had a beg bank of 50K tho.....I've yet to go bust w/that beg bank....& in fact over a 15 mos period I never had a neg monthly roi w/a 50K bank....my ave is around 15-20% a month....but those #'s would surely change w/an under capitalized acct...& not in my favor....lol
Nice job....love hearin about the winners. I recall a poster who stopped by several mos ago....said he started small over 5 yrs ago....think his beg bank was in the 5K neighborhood if I recall...anyway...he claims that he slowly built the acct up & w/in 5 yrs he reached 1 mil....of course who really knows for sure if he did indeed pull that 1 off....but we all know that in 4x...it is very possible as long as you're discipline.
I'll have to go see if I can dig that one up.
yeah...I find that I've been strugglin w/the stop loss issue...to use or not ta use em, using mental sl's or simply adhering to a strict 10-20 pip sl setting every trade. My long turlte last night got down as much as 30 before it turned & hit my tp 30 mins ago...albeit that tp was approx 75...so I only missed my downside goal by approx 100%....lol
Guess it depends on wether or not I wanna babysit a position or if I wanna walk away while a trade is on (overnight, etc) which in that case I'll of course have to set some sorta sl. Not quite sure what I wanna do or how I even wanna go about it all quite yet? I find that even after a yr + of demoing that I'm still going back & forth w/various strats.
I am tryin ta get my entries so that I am never down more than 15-20 at anytime during a trade...& hitting a profit level of 20-30 pips. At a 60% hit rate on these money mngmt guidelines that'll take some time ta build the acct...especially w/a 2% lot size. But at least I will be building it just the same. Thinking about beg @ 30-1 & if that seems to be working then I'll move up to 50-1...but most likely never go beyond that level of leverage...unless I find that overtime I am some sorta 4x Sage....which I highly doubt.
Ataglance once told me that what I should 1st do is simply use a capital preservation strategy.....not focusing so much on making money....but trying to see if I can simply hang on to it...of course if I show a positive roi...great....but don't try to be a hero right oudda the gates...keeping my expectations low & humble....then if I show that I can at least be good at breaking even, then I can begin to step it up a bit.
At any rate...I'll most likely be demoing for another yr or so...at least until I can prove to myself that I have 1/2 a clue ;)~
Time ta move to Canada?
or even dare I say Mexico :0
W/re to Soros....he's been calling for something like this happen for quite sometime now.....some refer to him as a classic Doomsdayer......guess his day has finally arrived.
Sherri....once I go live, that's exactly how I plan to do it...slow & steady, slowly building up the acct. It may take me 2+ yrs ta get to a decent level of capitalization, but the risk in doing it this way is much more managable. One should be able to survive & get past the stormy weather. After t/a, it's really all money management....very similar to how a gambling pro conducts himself at the sportsbook or tables.
Runnin late this AM.....gotta run....back later....& yes, I'm still waiting for that return call from my Congressman....lol
OK...1 more....I just got finished writing my Congressman w/re to a possible privatization option....& I highly suggest everyone else here does the same.
I feel that time is critical here since it appears as if we are all about to be mugged....BIG TIME!!
Sherri....there's more & more stuff hitten the wires w/re to possible alternatives....here's just one I ran across...maybe not the best....but itza start. & I do agree w/the last coupla sentences from the last paragraph.....which reads....
"Concerning this bailout, they need more time to develop the right decisions. Our leaders are being given the bums rush in this matter by a small handful of people. There is grave danger in moving too fast on the bailout."
At any rate.....some kinda privatization angle is something that needs more attn imo. Even considering how bad things have gotten & so fast....I feel we still have the resources needed to go this route....we just need to think outside the box here a bit & not allow the govt (Paulson) to bum rush us all into a decision I know we'll most likely end up regret'n.
http://www.thinkwecan.com/editorials/stop-do-not-pass-go-do-not-collect-700-billion.html
OK....time ta power down for the night....& yes, long turtle @ 105.80....tho not smellin all that good oudda da gates here
:(..
Ni TZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Well it doesn't sound quite as bad as my neighbor was lettin on (who tends 2 b a fear monger of sorts imo).....he was makin it sound more like this entire episode all began in the mid-east region & has now spread to the carribbean & thus closer to our borders.
After reading this piece it sounds more like the usual super power saber rattling. I do have a fear however that as we get closer to the election, bush may get trigger happy w/Iran or Syria...or whoever for that matter....after all, it is bush :0 & I get a lil more worried that this could happen as McCain's #'s deteriorate right along w/the economy...just saw a poll tonight that has Obama w/a 10 pt lead....which can be direclty attributed to the financial meltdown of course.
I wouldn't put it past the bush regime to try & take our minds off the election & pound our patriotic chests a bit (ala post 9/11) if it looks like McCain is strugglin.....you could call it the last hail George in Jr's playbook...or as Ronnie would say...one for da Gipper. :0
Whatever.....still hangin long for now w/the contrarian trade....long greeny....& I surely aint talkin span....the creator of this entire mess...or shall I say bush's puppet.
& Jester....jus lookin at the turtle chart....that too is lookin ripe here for a long @ 105.75....looks like a 1/2 way decent overnight long...thiken it may bust thru 106.25 & test 106.50 by 6-8a pacific.
Edit:...got curious & wanted to remind myself how was that conspiracy theory poster I was thinking about...it's utmostbastard.....here's the lonk to his bio....he's also found on the posters link for this board.
Hey UB...been awhile bud....ya still out there....or did one of those govt contrails finally do ya in? :0
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/profile.asp?user=65569
Well now...there we go...I guess we jus needed a lil kick start primer....lol
Gotta go finish watchin the Fast Money replay....missed the 1st airing today....back later....but in the meantime.....someone tell Chavez that it's called South AMERICA!!!! not South Russia...lol
Ditto...been that way for awhile now....off 'n on...sometimes it's clean....sometimes not. Think they did some kinda patch job a few mos ago & ever since it seems they've had this bug. I get some other minor"esque" glitches from'em as well from time ta time.
On a far more important note....anyone hear anything about a recent build-up of arms....Russia, Syria & all the other usual suspects? Speakin to a neighbor jus now (retired undercover narc officer...has his secret service & cia sources) who was tellin me that it's all been very hush-hush but Russia has moved a few nuke subs around....some now in the carribbean....."sounds as if we're being circled" he said.
I asked him where he got his info....he said Debka.....which as many of you most likely know is quite credible. I must say that I am kinda surprised that if it is indeed on Debka....why has there been no talk of it here? Usually the currecny Sage's are all over this stuff...for obvious reasons.
Guess I'm off to do some Debka diggen....after Jackson's appearance of course on Colbert....I do have my priorities ya know....the world can get blown up but damn if I'm gonna miss a natl Jackson appearance ;)~
OK.....think I made it thru the day on 13 posts....2 more left over the next 40 mins....think I'm safe...lol
& in the meantime....if anyone has a desire do some Debka DD on the matter...sure would like ta know how pressing this lil piece of news truly is.
Cheers!!
Yawn.....no doubt try ta sell us the goods since Paluson couldn't sell ya a brand new Benz for 5K :0
on a more constructive & politically aware note...Jackson Browne is on Colbert tonight....was actually last nights show but here out west it's also re-aired the following day @ 8:30p on Comedy Central....so it may be airing right now on the east.
Goin to see him along w/Bonnie Raitt, Crosby & Nash (no Stills evidently) & Los Lobos...Wavy Gravy is M.C'ing....along w/a few special guests...Neil Young, Santana & Sheryl Crow have all been rumored to possibly show up.....a benefit for SEVA this Sat night in Oakland.

Paulson needs a new sales pitch....
aint dat da truth...
Cramer's 'Mad Money' Recap: Paulson Needs a New Sales Pitch
Jim Cramer told viewers on his "Mad Money" TV show Wednesday that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is doing a terrible job of selling the bailout plan.
Instead of speaking in plain English, Paulson has made his sales pitch much more difficult to comprehend by using Wall Street rehetoric.
& here's the rest of the Mad Man's diddy....
http://www.thestreet.com/story/10439189/1/cramers-mad-money-recap-paulson-needs-a-new-sales-pitch.html?puc=_htmlbooyah
Well that sure as hell beats my checkbook balancing act....
assets down 9+% & liabilities up 3+%.....a 12+% swing the wrong way....sure can't keep on at this clip :0
& we're still payin off our cc's for all the summer fun we had...tphfftt!!.
Time ta go p/up the 1st grader.
One of the best days thus far here on the board by far.....lotza great comments.....this is really beg ta turn into a great place ta hang...& cheaper than Sbux ;)~
One thing that is quite evident....those who follow the currencies sure seem to really know more so than anyone else what's REALLY goin on.
Yeah...sure is scary when the money mrkts are only returning 97%....OUCH!! Amazing what a 3+% swing will do to all the mrkts...not just 4x.
OK....got the lil 1 down for a nap (had ta put her in the car actually & drive around the neighborhood for 5-10 mins....& w/gas @ 3.70 I think this nap cost me approx $1.85...lol) & have to go balance the accts....been puttin that one aside for over 2 weeks...one of these days it's gonna be where I gotta do 2 mos in a row worth of check book balancing....guess I should be happy that I have a bank at all....we're lucky as we're with Wells...been w/em for approx 4 yrs now...switchen over to them sure was a good move as it turns out.
& Nettles....I jus may have ta pay for a subscription for ya...Ataglance gave me a mos awhile back so I may pass it along to you....& heck, if this board keeps up at this pace, I'm gonna have ta pony for myself as well.....so far tho, I seem to be doin OK w/the 15 limit....have 6 left after this one....but I am finding that as of late, 15 may not be enough :0
OK...the poundin of the keysboard has been known ta wake up the lil 1....so having said that...catch up w/everyone later on....& until then....gonna remain in long dollar mode...aka the contrarian trade....so far its' workin.
Good debate here indeed...yet another reason y I don't miss the mosh pits of the equity boards...lol
Yeah....hopefully Obama will do what McCain is doin...go back to Washington & work together to hammer somethin out....just not anything or the 1st thing they happen to draw up...espeically if it has those who profited from all this off clean free while u & I pay thru our noses for it all....tphhfftt!!
Would be nice to see the campaign spin & rhetoric take a back seat for awhile...wasn't doin a bit o'good...never does.
my aud short I just took @ 8376 sure is lookin good tho....up a quick 30....gonna cover 2/3rds of it here tho, set the rest @ b/e & let'er run.
There's a few ideas floating around (as Nettles has given us a heads up to) that will never get any attn...kinda like Nader...lol
Sure wish Ataglance was around....he'd surely have a decent plan.
But a fair enuff ? Sherri....I'll do some diggen & see what I can come up with....tell ya what tho, I think if it were put up to a vote...betcha it'd be a landslide that all those who gained from all this should repay it all.....wonder how much that'd lower the overhead of all this?
There's certainly a better way to go about all this than what's being proposed....give it another few days & I betcha we'll be seein other options come to the surface....not that the govt will give them any serious consideration.
Gotta run......time to go try & make this society a better place....1 kid at a time....well 2 in my case...lol
Cheers!!
Guess it's time for another stimulus package...lol
Say goodbye to 100% of stimulus #1...& BTW....we now owe it all back...& double!!! lol
W/re to placing blame on the public....usually I am in agreement there...everyone should be responsible for the decisons they make....BUT, in this case w/re to the neg am loans....this is something that was created & promoted by the govt....they were all for it. We were told at the time that this was a great way for folks to get into the housing mrkt...the govt was very aware of these practices...they were behind it all. So of course folks took the bait hookline & sinker...& of course Wall St was more than willing to package the deals.
I disagree....the public was lead to drink the spike koolaid in this case.....& now we are being asked to bailout the poor decision making of the govt....sorry, I aint buyin that argument this time that the public needs to take some of the blame here....if it weren't for the fact that the govt created the neg-am's in the 1ast place, we wouldn't be in much of this mess today.
This is simply a case of the govt preying on the masses imo & now the masses are being asked to pony up...& most had absolutely nothnig to do w/any of it. The majority of the public never even took out a neg am loan....total BS it is.
Edit: short aud/us @ 8376
Sure....but jus where does the US govt get their flow from?
Aside from you 'n me of course....as former SEC Boss Wayne Angel said last week...the Fed's resources are infinite....which is the scary thing here.
If we thought inflation was gettin oudda hand....jus u wait.
& did I hear this right....the cost of this proposed package is somethin like 3K per PERSON!! or $12K per family??
The greenback will reach new lows....but it wont do so til the powers that be are ready to take it down & not a moment sooner. & in the meantime....wouldn't surprise me in the least if it rallies....given the said powers that be even better shorting opps.
Think I may scalp it long for awhile & see how it goes...goin w/the gut & doin the opposite...lol
Tell'em that capitalism will always survive in the U.S as long as the Govt is willing to use socialism to bail it out.
W/re to the '00 campaign....if a candidate isn't strong enough to win it on his own...so be it...so as for me, I really don't buy the argument that it was Naders fault. If a certain % of folks felt Nader was the best choice...so be it....vote your conscience not your fear.
However this election...seems the Nader effect is actually helpin the dems this time around....so that argument isn't even gettin off the ground this time. & is yet another reason why the gop slanted media (for the most part) isn't giving Nader ANY attn at all....they dont wanna be helpin out the dems anymore than they have to.
Off to school...back a lil later...
edit: & btw....if the '00 campaign was fixed (FLA)....then surely Nader most certainly wasn't ta blame....it woulda gone to the gop either way....his vote (especially in FLA) was non exisitent.
Nice to see all the various reports now being given some attention here.
For those of you where this is an area that you need to pay more attn to....of ocurse it's best to try & plan your trades around these...meaning to try & stay out....or simply get out prior to any release.
Also, be very mindful of any correlations....those could wipe ya out too. Very e z to get whipsawed when #'s come out....even tho u think u may be on the right side....there's always the very high probability of a head fake following or just b4 any release.
Here's once again the link to the econ calendar....a must of a bookmark for all 4x'ers.
http://www.dailyfx.com/calendar
& all those ill-gotten gains should be given back & put towards the bailout....or at a minimum taxed at some incredibly outrageous rate....like 97%!!! lol
It's just plain sickening...& ya know what....whoever steps up to the plate & takes a hard line on all this (ala Nader) & not forcing Joe Q Public to foot the bill (at least not to the degree that's being proposed), would that not secure the election for'em?
Seems like a no brainer to me.....one way for us to finally overcome all the special interest groups...this is our best chance ever...now if either Mcain or Obama would have the balls to do so....& I really could care less who at this point....preferrably Obama of course...but as far as I am concerned, dem or gop...we're screwed either way we go....just to what degree is the only ? :0
Heck, maybe this is Nader's best chance now that I think about it....lol
If you're outraged by the bailout.....
sound like you should be following the Nader camp...the waste of time it is. Sure wish someone else would run on a pseudo-Nader platform...somneone whose reputation hasn't been tarnished ala Nader. Nader will never get anywhere, sadly.
Typically I'm not a Nader person....but drastic times call for drastic measures...I find that for the most part, I am in agreement w/much of what he's saying....not everything mind you...like his mideast policy....or even his foreign policy I have some trouble digesting. However when it comes to all issues of a domestic nature, sadly, what he's been sayin for over 20 yrs now is true....& is coming home ta roost.
At least allow him in the debates as all I ask....can u imagine what the debates would be like if he were there....would love to see Obama & McCain both squirm just as much as we lil fish have been the last few weeks....lol
Here's a Nader email from this AM on the bailout package....

Ralph Nader to Congress: Put the Brakes on "Carte Blanche" Bailout:
"Haste Makes Waste" with Goliath of Panic Legislation."
"Taxpayers are being asked to foot the bill for corporate malfeasance."
Independent presidential candidate and longtime consumer advocate Ralph Nader said today that he opposes giving Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson -- heralded as King Henry on the cover of Newsweek -- what amounts to a blank check for $700 billion with nothing more than a promise to keep the U.S. financial system from imploding. Nader said that any bailout should have strict accountability, conflict-of-interest, regulatory, and oversight rules attached, including a cap on executive compensation and stock warrants for the rescuing taxpayers.
Ralph Nader, whose vigilance for consumers dates back to 1965, issued the following statement this afternoon, urging Congress to slow down, "Haste makes waste."
"Over the years, every time Congress acted in haste, it was an unsuccessful boondoggle, from the $3 billion synthetic fuels legislation of 1980 to the 2002 Iraq War Resolution.
"The proposed $700 billion blank check is the Goliath of domestic panic legislation.
"It's a triple whammy on the American people as taxpayers, consumers and workers.
"Without public hearings, without civil justice safeguards, accountability and Congressional oversight, without comprehensive regulation and shareholder governance, this three-page bill could be the mother of terrible unintended consequences. For example, what if it is the wrong kind of bailout?
"Of all the insults Bush's monarchy has ever hurled at Congress, a supposedly co-equal branch of government, this one breaks new ground in shattering the bedrock principle of separation of powers and checks and balances under our Constitution and replacing it with blanket Congressional surrender of its authority to Bush's White House.
"Rather than race home to run for re-election, members of Congress should do what they were sent to Washington to do: carefully draft the legislation that will serve the needs of Main Street and Elm Street, not the greed, fraud and recklessness of Wall Street.
Nader also calls for changes to the bill that would include:
Provisions for homeowners to stay in their homes in default, or rent them at market value.
A cap on executive compensation and disgorgement of ill-gotten gains.
A stimulus package for infrastructure repair and upgrade to generate new community jobs.
Comprehensive regulation of and disclosures by the financial industry and Wall Street to prevent this from occurring again.
Prudent margin requirements on derivatives trading and a tax on securities derivatives transactions.
Shareholders control over the corporations they own.
Tougher criminal enforcement against culpable firms and executives.
"Why should the American taxpayers bail-out fraud, recklessness and criminal irresponsibility?" asks Nader. "Why should the American people trust the judgment of the very administration that has gotten us into this mess?"
Nader expressed strong agreement with William Greider of The Nation who recently wrote that "If Wall Street gets away with this, it will represent an historic swindle of the American public -- all sugar for the villains, lasting pain and damage for the victims."
Nader objects strongly to the language of the bill itself. The draft is very brief, broad, vague and overreaching, granting authority to Secretary Paulson with no oversight, says Nader. [http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/21/business/21draftcnd.html] He highlights Section 8. Review which dictatorially states: "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency."
"This recklessly empowers a government appointee with no accountability. It's clear that till the bitter end, the Bush/Cheney approach to government is one of unconstitutional over-reach, coercion, secrecy and zero accountability, with corporate comfort first, and the best interests of the American people last, says Nader.
Something has to be done, says Nader, but not in secrecy and not without a Constitutional brace of protections for the American people added to the bill, including appropriate sunset provisions.
"In what would be the biggest bailout in history, the Bush/Cheney operation is using the same kind of threatening language they used to gin up support for wiretapping, the Patriot Act, and their pre-planned war against Iraq. They are attempting to cynically manipulate the American people, stirring up fears in a time of economic crisis, essentially extorting taxpayer funds to stave off a Second Great Depression that they largely helped create and perpetuate.
"Enron and IAG are the bookends of the Bush/Cheney reign of economic and social corruption and neglect," says Nader. But he adds that the problems can be traced even farther back to the 1970s, a period of deregulation that was further spurred by Reagan era "trickle-down economics."
"Consumer groups from around the nation are in an uproar over this example of socialized welfare for corporate greed," says Nader. "Neither of the two corporate-backed parties, which have sold the snake-oil of deregulation for decades, have the legitimacy, courage or record to handle this crisis or stand up to this mega-bullying. The American people, Nader said, must speak loudly to their representative in Congress to stop them from caving to the blank-check demand of "King Henry" and the Bush/Cheney dictatorial regime.

Do I hear an echo in here?
This u tube clip is a hoot....
Did I hear someone say start sendin those emails & letters out?
Here's exactly just that...I did this 1 ystrdy as requested by the Nader campaign....
Dear Janet Brown:
Greetings,
You must be busy preparing for the first Presidential debate this Friday so I won't take much of your time.
I Just wanted to let you know that the American people were not born yesterday, we know the deal. Take that little private corporation that you run which is controlled by the two corporate parties and funded by big business for the purpose of excluding independent minded candidates. Friday two Wall Street candidates are scheduled to be in the ring, Barack Obama and John McCain. The one candidate who represents the American people, Main Street if you will will be on the outside looking in. So here's a simple request....drop your exclusionary restrictions and let Ralph Nader into the debates!!
It will be good for your conscience, good for the American people. (I believe it was The League of Women Voters that called your 'corporatized' debates "campaign-trail charades devoid of substance spontaneity and honest answers to tough questions.") and most importantly good for democracy. Let the American people have a real debate for once...Main Street vs. Wall Street.
I thank you for your time & consideration.
(end)
If anyone wishes to do the same or their own version......Janet Brown's addy is
jb@debates.org
Also w/in the same email from the Nader camp was a request to phone the Obama folks & tell them to do the same....invite Nader to the table.....after all, what are they so afriad of?
Here's their instructions for the Obama call....
Call Barack Obama at 866-675-2008.
Hit 6 to speak with a campaign volunteer.
Once connected, politely deliver the following message:
Hi, my name is ...
I was wondering if Senator Obama, being a believer in equal opportunity and equal rights, could insist that Ralph Nader and other ballot qualified third party candidates be included in the upcoming Presidential debates?
After all, Nader is on 45 state ballots.
And he's polling well nationwide. And he could help Senator Obama challenge the corporate Republicans.
True, Ralph would critique Senator Obama for his corporate ties also. But isn't that what democracy is about? Could you please leave this message for the campaign manager? Thank you.

& on the same subject of a multi party system...I just rec'd this from a Bud up in Canada....ya gotta love the Neorhino platform....& better still, the fact that the Canadian Govt will even recognize such a platform....anything goes up in the great white north I suppose....LMAO!!!
If I were registered up there it would be between either the Neorhino's or Work Less Party....a tough toss up indeed....tho 1 happy ending a week aint quite enuff...at least for me :o

The party was founded by François "Yo" Gourd, who was involved with the former Rhinoceros Party. He stated he named the new party for the Rhinoceros Party and for Neo, the Matrix character. The party is currently led by Richelle Cloutier.
It promises, like its predecessor, not to keep any of its promises if elected. Among its early platform planks was to "take away soldiers' weapons, replace them with paintball guns, and repaint Havana." The party has also proposed a mandatory national gas barbecue registry and a guaranteed weekly orgasm.
Agreed pretty much w/both you guys on this.....
my thots on where to place blame (not that it'll do any good to anyone)....simple.....the govt saw that home prices were getting out of control but didn't want to stifel that kinda equity growth as it was helping the economy immenseley at the time. So the story I've heard is that the govt told Greeny that they wanted him to do 2 things to keep the ball in the air....lower rates & keep'em there & come up w/a way for more citizens to be able to become 1st time home buyers....enter the negative am loan. & we all know the story's ending.
Bush was fortunate enuogh to walk into a bull economy...some give credit to Clinton for that....& Bush just simply wanted to keep it goin....you can call this (low rates along w/the neg am loan) the Bush Economic Plan. & from there we saw what happendd w/the surplus that Clinton left Bush...all gone in approx 2-3 yrs time...at least by his 2nd term.
So what will happen next....who knows but I could see the following happening....Obama gets in....slowly crawls us back to b/e (that'll take at least 4 yrs...most likely more)....in 4 yrs we'll see that pie chart & give him a 2nd term....then as we get back to b/e or maybe even into the green (at the end of the Obama office.....the gop gets their chance again....& I'll let everyone else figure out what will happen next :0
We need another party...this 2 party system is broke (there's really not all that much diff imo between the dems & gop) & we need another platform/voice....one that represents the US better.
I realize it's a joke....but as far as the debates go (which begin this Fri night)...I think at least Nader should be included....if anything, to try & keep both Obama & McCain as honest as possible.....a tall order to fill I know....but hey...isn't the US political process supposed to be a free & open porocess...all inclusive?
Seems to me there's some other voices out there that we need to here...I always loved the phrase....vote your conscience, not your fear.
OK..soap box goin away.....time to go picket once again out in from the Mrs' District Office....the District got a 5% increase from the state & only wanna "give" the Teacher's 1.5% of it.....doesn't even keep up w/the coast of living...not even close...let alone the always rising out of pocket healthcare costs. "1.5% wont pay the rent"
:(.....
Yet we have no problems at all w/paying ceo's who fail miserably sick annual salaries....not to mention the parachute packages that go along w/the bloated salaries.
Damn....I'm gettin PO'd now.....someone pass the lithium ;)~
that's comforting ta hear....perhaps the genl population isn't as dumb as I think? :0
W/re to Cramer....yeah & he & just about everyone else is jumpin back on gold.....1K by eoy...maybe even b4 the election looks like a real possibility....& dare I go onta say that it'll reach another new ATH by eoy?
Seems like a no brainer call....& even if ya can't afford the risk of holding gold long term (more than a day or 2)...there's always the gold etf's....not bad place ta be parkin your cash imo....if anything, u will most likely at a minimum be keeping pace w/inflation....that's sure to begin spike'n even mroe so w/this backstop plan being put into place. & certainly we have not seen the bottom of the S'nP, etc.
Gotta run across the bay today w/the 3 yr old....gotta take her to my Dr's appt....back Dr....time ta achedule the next epidural...hope ta get it done w/in the the next few weeks...beginning ta feel those twinges where my disc fluid once was at L3, 4 & 5....that tells me it's time...gotta try & stay ahead of it.
I'll be checkin back later on...maybe be gettin back home right b4 the US close.
& w/this board hoppin like it is as of late....damn if I just may need to finally pony-up & pay for the subscription...lol
Cheers!!
Happy to hear you found great value in it.....w/your t/a accumen all ya really need now is to learn how to focus on where & when manipulation will be introduced by the various govts via their Central Banks. That's pretty much all 4x is in the simplest terms imo.
& since ya liked Zeitgeist so much.....have a looksie @ End Game as well....if ya haven't already. & I gotta imagine you've found all the Conspiricy Theory boards, right? There's a few decent one's out there. In fact I don't recall his name, but awhile back there was a poster here who provided a link at the bottom of all his posts....it wasn't all that long ago....maybe over the summer?
Anyway...nice to see Villas comin up for a lil air too....this place is really beg ta hop these days.....good stuff...let's keep it goin folks.
Gotta busy day...time ta run.
Cheers!!
then try End Game......
ie Zeitgeist light....for those w/quezee stomachs :0
Sounds like it hits close ta home 4 the 69'er...pleased ta hear someone has found it to be beneficial.
& Jester....maybe fast 4ward thru the 1st 40 odd mins or so....that may do the trick for ya.
Nope....I'll work on missen the boxes manana....I should be VERY good at that....lol
Tho I gotta real busy AM....wont really be able ta spend much time w/it til noon-1p pst.
Since that post I have missed the next 2 boxes....so I'm 3-2 now....hehe
OK...I've already eaten up 3 posts for manana so I'll be sayin Ni TZzzzzzz all...& wish Daiello & the rest of da grave yard shifters a very good night.
Cheers!!
"You can only view it via an online stream."
or download it if ya really want I suppose...lol
Why couldn't ya jus simply stream it?....I did say ta stream it didn't I? No need ta download it.
I just went to
www.zeitgeistmovie.com
& hit play & there it was.
Sorry...next time I'll try & remember ta come prepared w/extra wipes 'n diapers ;)~
Enjoy!!.....tho sayin enjoy for this doc jus dont quite sound right...lol
Cheap entertainment indeed...
& I dont smoke either....$4/pack now or somethin like that is it...OUCH!!...talk about taken your breath away :0
& I agree w/ya...69 will be back (if he's even out at all?.... lol...don't worry 69...jus yankin your chain there...it's all good) sooner than he thinks. He got his lil taste of this crack & will be back sooner than the dow hits sub 10.5...lol
Stocks are gonna suck for a few more mos or more...at least if u r tryin ta go long.....but 4x....the moves are always there as we all know...thus it's hard ta stay away for all too long...especially if u r a trader by nature.
Now where'd I put that lotto tic ;)~
if anything...
u should find it informative....ya jus gotta find it w/in yourself ta get past the 1st 45 mins or so where the focus is on religion & what the real purpose behind it is....then the rest of it focuses on the intl banking system & govts.
Then you will have a much better comprehension on the manipulation thread...especially as it relates to 4x.
I hope you find great value in it.
2 tickets for each draw 2 x's a week.....
1 quick pick & the other w/our #'s...best I've done is 3 oudda 6...hit that a few times now...I may have hit 4 one time but not sure of that? Been playin pretty consistently for over 15 yrs now...yes, I am a chronic dreamer ;)~
$32/mos...that & my Sbux (which is approx $40-50/mos) habit are my 2 vices.....I could think of worse....hehe
w/re to your manipulation comment....
Bud....it's ALL manipulation....like Ataglance, Jester, JRB & anyone else who knows their 4x & follows along closely, the key to winning at this game is to forecast where & when the fix will put on & react accordingly.
One reason why the fundi's do not necessarilly mean a whole lot...at least not nearly as much as t/a.
If you haven't seen it yet....you MUST watch Zeitgeist...even if you do not subscribe to that POV.....u have to admit....it was fairly spot on w/re to all these failures.
I highly rec'd for all to watch it.....def worth the 2 hrs of your time...so grab yourself a cup o'joe & settle in....also ask yourself....why is it that we can't simply go to Blockbuster, Netflix, etc to rent it? You can only view it via an online stream.
Watch it & come back to comment...I'd be curious as to what your take is...& that goes for everyone else.
Cheers!!
Yeah.....& now folks are paying upfront jus for the right to own the T-Bills...at least that's what was goin on last week on Thurs & or Fri.....not sure if that's still the case?... but it wouldn't surprise me.
Yeah....tomorrow night is the multi-state Mega Lotto & Wed night is Cali's Super Lotto ;)~
Nettles....good pt w/re to the oil spike today....if ya can't short the financials...may as well go long oil 'n gold. Terranova on Fast Money today said however that even tho it was the biggest 1 day spike ever down in the crude pit, the vol was quite small....approx 1/10th of the ave daily vol....he went on ta say that he thot the main reason for this was that most oil speculators were actually making more bets on October's price as opposed to the balance of the present month.
My Aud short a lil earleir today hit w/a 35 pip profit...from 8495 down to 8460. it was down approx 20 pips tho at its' worst...which is approx 5 pips above my ultimate stop loss goal. I wanna try & get to an approx 60-70% accuracy rate w/my entries on stop losses of no more than 15 pips....10 would be ideal. That way w/25-35 take profit points I'd be baggin a pretty steady & decent roi.
Still tho....happy w/the call just the same....did pretty good today w/all my trades & the 3 1st ever attempt @ Oanda boxes.
Come again?.....
did the ecb lower? hard to imagine as the euro is presently in bull mode...or do ya mean u r lovin it that the euro is goin higher vs the greenback?
Sorry...kinda confused....but if there's a ecb drop one would think the chart would be refelcting that? Or perhaps it's already baked in & it continues ta rise? Nothing surprises me anymore....lol
Edit 1: After re-readin your post I think ya meant u r lovin the greenback fallin vs the euro....guess ya gotta long euro on the table....nice!
& indeed....this mrkt is very dangerous....ie addicting...steady as she goes tho cuz this mrkt will wipeout even the best of Sage's....seen it happen many a time to a few around here who I consider to be real Pro's.
Edit 2: steppin out for an hr or so....gotta start conservin posts now as I've been racken'em up today....'splains my edits...so I guess when ya think ya've read all the posts....ya better go back 15+ mins later ta make sure there's no edit's :0
Cheers fellow 4x'ers
