More from last summer fantasy post:
"When we can guesstimate Middle Eastern buying has begun, then we will know the company's best news ever will soon be following, or at least in my opinion."
From my posting on the 17th, just a few days ago.
Sorry forgot the quotation marks, but someone actually posted this non-sense about LBSR last summer.
One poster from the other board even suggested the Saudis are buying LOL! so in other words you better buy before its to late?
Looks like Saudi's suddenly started buying. No other explanation for big buys and price increase without news.
Hold on for more! Wow!
...buying looked to be furious for a short period of time, and seemingly has now ended, suggesting the buyer is another part of the word. Still, this isn't a big deal (so far), and may only represent one turned on individual.
Even if we close lower today from here, there may be more such individuals in the Middle East who will join in later. After all, JB has numbers of other presentations to make before his trip has ended.
...looking for more such buying tomorrow, even if the air seems to come out today's rally.
Funny you mention Brent Cook I've been a follower and a subscriber of his for years now, along with Mickey F
I watched LBSR almost 2 years before I posted anything, but reading some of the posters unrealistic expectations for LBSR, and over the top company NR's I just couldn't take it anymore.
And since most of the NR's are completely nebulous, I decided to present the other side to counter the happy talk
I still don't understand what good is a LOI or MOU if the people can't deliver? NPSDP is in negotiations with Genesis supposedly?, but what good is it if the guy can't keep his licenses current for whatever reasons or excuses people have, but he can develop a mine?
So if JB signs a LOI or a MOU with some mystery man or company from the Philippines that no one has heard of, or no one can research or perform a simple DD on, what good will it do? only a temporary hiatus (1 week at the most)on the long march downward for LBSR I suspect
I know I am only a mean spirited evil basher, but I just don't know how can you do the complex when you can't do the simple.
Quite a few red flags around here for investors, if you care to look, but a steadfast and loyal few around here and there anyways, who will defend JB down to the last fraction of a share price, although this is not the same investment climate as it was back before 2010, many mining CEO's have left, retired or have been ousted from companies since then, this seems to be a cleansing process when done, that will leave some legitimate mining prospects alive, and all of these hyped up no prospect projects dormant as they should be.
LBSR's best chance of mining was AK, after that, there's no here, here, only hype, but believe it or not I understand the position the market has left JB in, but he doesn't have to do this, this way, it's a choice.
It doesn't make a difference who or where information concerning LBSR is posted to me, the question is, what is the truth? does LBSR have a potential 1 or 100 billion $$$ mine? not even the starting of a drill program can answer that, proving any resources here is years away, if ever, and anything else before that is pure HYPE, and saying that its hype and pointing it out seems to qualify one for prosecution under a hate speech law with some
Its called a bankable feasibility study or at least a feasibilty study for a reason and until I see one for LBSR, I'm NOT a believer in the cause.
Close to production metrics are so far off with LBSR, it shouldn't even be a topic of discussion, unless someone is hyping the prospects of a stock
And btw LBSR is much, much closer to a Bankruptcy study than a feasibility study I would say.
I don't blame faithful longs for leaving this board, its better to move over to the other board where the dream is kept alive by the faithful delusion of a 100 billion dollar fantasy, and the good part is that LBSR pays the board to insure only happy talk is allowed concerning LBSR, No hard questions allowed, reading the group think makes you want to hurl.
I want to thank the millionaire who with his very simple message encouraged me to investigate LBSR and help him with others to expose the truth of the 100 billion dollar fantasy
After longs realize the latest JUNKET beared no fruit, as the NPSDP deal didn't, they will be left with another excursion into fantasyland and another 6 months wait for another the next big pending deal. all the while watching their investment hover near zero.
But I guess its best to go down with the ship, since longs are so far under water, a few more gulps before drowning won't hurt.
I put my faith in the markets judgement, and the verdict on LBSR's prospects speaks for itself, more like a going out of business sale, than a diamond in the ruff I think.
Good post, especially the portion about the 2010 run up, very profound observation, its happened here although some do not realize it yet, and probably will not until this stock goes dormant like a few hundred others have
Its close when only 10 to 15k dollars worth of shares trade each day.
I am sure JB with come up with a Genesis like NPSDP deal for HMSDP, but it will be no help when the market looks under the hood and discovers it's a Genesis like company, although I suspect this one maybe OFFSHORE and harder to investigate.
Waiting for the NR, I suspect it should come soon at least by MAY or June
Longs will go ga ga for a couple of days, but I will be watching and investigating the truth of the deal and in the end, it will be exposed like the NPSDP deal has been, that's my prediction
.
Oh, and btw LBSR didn't attend PDAC last year as some posters said, it was GEOTECH that presented THEIR technology using LBSR as an example, JB was not present, look it up, I did
True, very true
For a "play Geologist" on IHUB you seem to be holding your own, 4 or 5 against 1 on my last count, they are even calling in the calvary from other boards to defend JB and LBSR. WOW!
But I also believe there is a slippery slope from a legitimate business person, to the words I refrain from using, when you are desperate to save your dream, but that's the problem, its not only JB's dream, a lot of people have loaned him money, they are called shareholders, who deserve better.
And in my opinion he's sliding fast down the slope.
I agree LBSR is complex, that's why even though I may use a lot of hyperbole to make my points I usually refrain from the words "its a scam", he's a "con man" or the "stocks a fraud" because I don't believe it to be so, I just think JB has become so desperate to save a sinking ship, and has resorted to shameless promotion and gimmicky NR's to attract and keep shareholder new and old interest, and for that behavior is why I condemn LBSR and its leader, and I think rightly so.
Also he's selling shareholders interest to toxic financiers which is even more shameless. all the while promising them innovative and revolutionary breakthroughs on an un-defined and yet to be discovered ore body, which is ridiculous and shameful.
After many years in business you don't have to go out that way, or be known as JB the carnival barker
Here's a mining idea for LBSR, it puts many things together that JB in an expert at:
Washington (AFP) - Human feces contains gold and other precious metals that could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, experts say.
Now the trick is how to retrieve them -- a potential windfall that could also help save the planet.
"The gold we found was at the level of a minimal mineral deposit," said Kathleen Smith, of the US Geological Survey, after her team discovered metals such as platinum, silver and gold in treated waste.
A recent study by another group of experts in the field found that waste from one million Americans could contain as much as $13 million worth of metals.
Finding a way to extract the metals could help the environment by cutting down on the need for mining and reducing unwanted release of metals into the environment.
"If you can get rid of some of the nuisance metals that currently limit how much of these biosolids we can use on fields and forests, and at the same time recover valuable metals and other elements, that's a win-win," said Smith.
"There are metals everywhere -- in your hair care products, detergents, even nanoparticles that are put in socks to prevent bad odors."
More than seven million tons of biosolids come out of US wastewater facilities each year: about half is used as fertilizer on fields and in forests and the other half is incinerated or sent to landfills.
Smith and her team are on a mission to find out exactly what is in our waste.
"We have a two-pronged approach," said Smith. "In one part of the study, we are looking at removing some regulated metals from the biosolids that limit their use for land application.
"In the other part of the project, we're interested in collecting valuable metals that could be sold, including some of the more technologically important metals, such as vanadium and copper that are in cell phones, computers and alloys."
The findings were presented at the 249th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society, taking place in Denver through Thursday.
And then the NR's could actually be about BS for a reason
Unbelievable, just as I said he would probably do, issue a PR after 60 minutes reminding shareholders "we got those" concerning REE's
Shameless promotion JB
Dear Shareholders,
Through geochemical studies, we discovered the presence of rare earth elements over a large area at our Hay Mountain Project. The potential remains important to the company and rare earth elements maintain a strategic importance to our national security and economy. Therefore, I thought you would find last Sunday’s 60 Minutes program interesting.
Sunday night’s 60 Minutes broadcast, "Modern life's devices under China's grip?" hits the highlights and challenges of REEs.

Correction, the talk at hand, because that's all it is
You're right it's silly, lets stick to the business at hand
I am sorry these are not MERGERS in the REAL sense of mergers, when the Hustle gets stale and buyers are no longer buying the BS, claims are transferred to another entity to start the game over again, this one is getting close, looking at the stock price, dollar volume is drying up.
And legitimate financing is nonexistent, unless the market in general turns around its curtains and JB will have to do the same, that's why he's coming up with wild idea's to keep it alive, its a last ditch effort to keep interest alive, with very little prospect of actually using any breakthroughs he mentions, kinda like HAIL MARY passes
Disclaimer, not a recommendation, only used to contrast with LBSR
They do, but not mine, JB's, remember YOU gave your $$$ to him, not me, and now longs are in the uncomfortable position of defending the latest incarnation of PT Barnum and the circus NR's
Actually bringing up past failures unbeknownst to current holders even makes it worst, I have yet to use the S word, but I'm coming close.
Watching 60 minutes, if its positive we know who will issue a NR saying I got those to
To be quite honest, doesn't matter when it started, it only matters how it will end, successful miner or not? I say not
And it's really not fair to pick on LBSR, because there are so many out there like it, but I can't resist, its such a turkey shoot
And to explain TURKEY SHOOT it means its an easy target
Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp., an exploration stage company, acquires and explores mineral properties in Arizona and Alaska. The company explores for uranium, copper, gold, molybdenum, silver, palladium, rhenium, lead, zinc, manganese, and other deposits. It holds interests in North Pipes Super project comprising 376 standard federal lode mining claims on the Colorado Plateau province of northern Arizona; and Big Chunk Super project, which consists of 54 mineral claims in the Iliamna region of Southwestern Alaska. The company also holds interests in the Tombstone Super project that consists of 99 standard federal lode mining claims; and Arizona state mineral exploration permits covering 4,126.9 acres, as well as holds an option to explore 33 standard federal lode mining claims located in Tombstone, Arizona. In addition, it holds an option to explore the East Silver Bell Porphyry Copper project covering 26 standard federal lode mining claims located to the northwest of Tucson, Arizona. The company was formerly known as Liberty Star Gold Corp. and changed its name to Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. in April 2007. Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona.
Again read carefully, he's been at THIS aka LBSR, the 25+ other years covers the other READ CAREFULLY
Just some perspective of how long he's been at this, close or not, it's a long time for a faithful shareholder
But the probability of 15 more is very low, I would wager. if the pattern is followed this will fold and the claims will be transferred to another entity, and it will start all over again with a new promoter, ala what he's trying to do with NPSDP, they all do the same thing it's predictable
As I said before it's straight from Vancouver, the playbook was written long ago
Company was founded in 2001 as Liberty Gold then changed its name to Liberty Uranium in 2007 when U went parabolic, and now is pursuing Copper as its flagship resource.
Almost 15 years at LBSR and over 40+ in the mining business, and with the recent succession planning anouncement, maybe he's ready to turn over the reigns, maybe to the guy from Genesis?
AK may have been his greatest chance to actually mine a resource, but that's on hiatus probably forever, and taking the usual timeline of Greenfield to Production of 10 years he will be 83 before the first ore arrives at a mill from HMSDP
As I said before people need to read what a person says carefully, I am not an officer of any court, I said I have courtroom experience, as a businessman who have sued many other people over the years for not being truthful or telling half truths, and an investor in the stock market for over 30+ years who knows a RED HERRING when I see one, even if its not spelled correctly
This is the same problem I have, I came into this with an open mind looking for a opportunity, however after reading thru the grandiose plans and supposedly new tech for mining a undiscovered mineral resource I became totally turned off and went negative.
Not trying to change anybody's opinion, after all you have a right to spend your money any way you chose, but some of these "Vancouer Hustle" stocks need to be shut down and sorry to the longs here, but this is where I landed.
Many of these stocks popped up after U ran past $120lb in 2007, with many salesmen with some mining experience buying old claims and marketing them to investors as the next big thing
Many of the majors abandoned these claims prior to the run up because they were determined not to have economically viable deposits, and it was true then as is it now, unless we retest the mineral resources super-cycle prices, probably north of $80lb for U and double that of copper's recent price which no one in the wildest forecast is predicting anytime soon
And btw I was reading about a dust-broom pusher who left $8 million to charity, how much will you leave? and he invested in the stock market and made a fortune, so be careful who you look down on, I respect all people in a court room, even the window washer, try it
No straight from the State of Nevada, their words not mine
TICKEDOFFAGAIN?
Everyone should do their own DD and not rely on others, I did, that's why I post here, not from emotions or feeling about something, but from careful and methodical DD, is how I find out things, give it a try
LBSR's NPSP business partner that's who, and its been posted for all to see, and I can see why MOST are hoodwinked by LBSR's NR's, most seem not to have a good understanding of what words mean and how to use them(except JB of course, he's clever), and that many if not most have dual meanings, so again look up Bankrupt and all of its meanings, and as I said before Bankrupt is appropriately used here not doubt about it
Since I am not legally challenged, I can categorically tell you liable is not an issue here, and btw I learned my legal experience in an actual court room and not from watching a TV show.
Ok let's say your are right, so if he(they) can't get something that elementary correct, how will he(they) develop and succesfully manage something as complicated as a mine from Greenfield to Production?
Would anyone here hire any professional from any field that couldn't keep their licenses current for such a complicated endeavor as bringing a mine online? I think not for most people, and more importantly would you have the confidence that person could see your project thru the painstakely complicated process of permitting a mine from start to production? for most the answer is no again.
And lastly would anyone believe that same entity would reliably pay you throughout the process? again no for most
So why has JB enlisted this entity to develop a property with no track record of doing anything, least of all keeping their own licenses and permits current?
Wonder how long will it be before LBSR names the next Bankrupt business partner.
Permanently revoking business licenses is an extreme measure by any state agency, just like when an attorney or an MD licenses are PERMANENTLY REVOKED it usually means you have done something to offend the state, usually it borders on some illegality
Some may chose to whitewash these events by a potential business partner but the wiser, calmer and thoughtful investor knows better, and what does it say about a CEO who is complicit in hiding or ignoring these facts?
The NPSP project is dead and everyone except some shareholders know it, LBSR has this habit of throwing things out in NR's, then they simply never mentions them again, and moves on to the next big thing
Very, very troubling don't ya think?
Bankrupt is appropriate, look up the meaning, can't be sued for posting the truth, he's bankrupt alright, however JB is another story with another definition which I posted in the past
Longs should really be questioning LBSR concerning this matter, not me, I am only the messenger, everything I posted is on the record
I am going to file a complaint with the SEC against LBSR with this information
