"This forms a reliable basis for grade-sensitivity estimates as illustrated in Figure 13.1 where extractions >85% Mn can be expected for materials grading as low as 2% Mn under baseline non-optimized conditions."
"Energy costs and plant sizes can be drastically reduced if evaporative crystallization is considered. The recommended mode will produce anhydrous material, using ample waste heat available from the sulphur burner."Alot of work to do ... and it will take 19 million to do it all so a strategic relationship is definitely required in order to keep dilution as low as possible ... however ... the characterization of 'drastic reduction' to energy costs and plant sizes goes directly to Capex and Opex ... and if that characterization would carry the same application to those two ... and Kemetco can illustrate this to potential strategic partners ... things could get very interesting.
Well maybe LR buying 200,000 shares is NOT a CEO mistake!! LOL
Blairman
Confirmed!! Larry bought 200,000 shares at 7.5 , thats over 1 MILLION Insider buys in about 30 days

EV Tesla costs $5 to drive over 800 kilometers Blairman

VANCOUVER, BC.: APRIL 3, 2012 - Sun Country Farms electric car on display during the 2012 Vancouver International Auto Show at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, B.C., April 3, 2012. Kent Rathwell, of Sun Country Farms, drove his electric car from Saskatoon to Vancouver for the auto show, using charging stations along the way.

Road-tripping across B.C. in an electric car could happen as early as next year.
On Tuesday, the B.C. government announced $2.74 million for 570 car-charging stations across the province, which would make it easier to drive all the way from Vancouver to cities like Kamloops and Prince George — or even south to the United States, Environment Minister Terry Lake said.
But electric-car drivers will likely have to stop more often to avoid running out of juice along the way.
“If you want to get from here to Kamloops [now] you’re hooped,” Lake said, speaking in Vancouver. “Between here and there, we would need at least two charging stations, but obviously we’d have to have a look at that. We don’t want to have lineups of electric cars waiting at the charging stations.”
The move, part of the government’s Clean Energy Vehicle Program, would be administered by the Fraser Basin Council, which will work with regional districts, municipalities and first nations to figure out where the stations should go.
But Lake expects to see the stations on key routes in the province, perhaps at rest areas and truck stops for easy access and more room to plug in.
The province is also working with BC Hydro to install 30 “Level 3” charging stations — where drivers can fully charge their vehicles in 15 minutes — on major highways like the Coquihalla, the Highway 97 connector to the Okanagan, the Cariboo connector to Prince George and south to the U.S., Lake said.
How often vehicles will need charging depends on the car, the speed and the terrain. In ideal conditions, the cheaper Chevrolet Volt, for instance, can travel 120 kilometres fully charged, compared with the Nissan Leaf, which logs 150 km, while the more costly Tesla Roadster is good to go for 400 km.
But the faster they go, the more energy they use. And travelling over mountains will require more frequent top-ups at charging stations because of the energy needed to traverse the topography.
Kent Rathwell, president of Sun Country Highway, a company that provides electric-vehicle infrastructure, drove his Tesla Roadster from Saskatoon to Vancouver for the International Auto Show.
Rathwell reported he was slowed down near Banff when he encountered heavy snow and treacherous conditions over the Rockies, but sped up after he got over the Coquihalla. He noted, however, that when an electric car goes over 90 km an hour, it isn’t as efficient.
Still, Rathwell said, distance isn’t a problem for the cars as long as there are charging stations available. If there were stations all the way to Fort St. James, he added, an electric-car driver could comfortably make the journey in a day and a half, charging the vehicle during a one-hour break for lunch, a half-hour coffee break, a two-hour dinner break and then overnight at the hotel.
Rathwell said his silver sports car, which takes as little as three hours to charge, made the trip from Saskatchewan to Vancouver in three days and cost him only $5 because he didn’t have to pay at the charging stations he helped to set up along the way.
The same trip would cost anywhere from $500 to $1,000 in a traditional gas-powered vehicle, depending on its size.
“It was an absolutely gorgeous drive, but to know we did it with zero emissions ... and really no hiccups, it was empowering,” Rathwell said. “It basically showed that it’s really possible nowadays, just to prove you can actually [travel long distance] in an electric vehicle.”
Rathwell, who has plans to work with businesses to put charging stations in place across Canada, said his company has yet to charge for using its stations. The aim, he said, is to get the infrastructure in place to encourage more people to buy electric cars, which start at $35,000.
“There’s really probably not another opportunity in most Canadians’ lives to be a part of something like this ... to be part of change,” he said.
The province’s announcement comes on the heels of a $261,000 partnership contribution earlier this year with the City of Vancouver to help install more than 67 electric vehicle charging stations throughout the city.

Vancouver Approves 570 new EV stations
Great news from the Metro Vancouver Board.
Six to eight new charging stations have been approved for installation in Metro Vancouver.
Here’s the press release they sent out last night.
June 5, 2012
ELECTRIC VEHICLES WILL HELP CARE FOR OUR AIR
The Metro Vancouver Board has approved the installation of six to eight publicly-accessible electric vehicle charging stations at regional facilities such as Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
The regional district will apply for grants under the Province of B.C.’s new $2.74 million Community Charging Infrastructure Fund, which will help pay for 570 electric vehicle charging stations in publicly-accessible locations across B.C..
“Air quality in the Lower Fraser Valley continued to improve in 2011, maintaining the trend seen over the last two decades,” said Board Chair Greg Moore. “But automobiles are still the largest source of air emissions in our region. Electric vehicles have no tailpipes – and no tailpipe emissions.”
Heather Deal, Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Environment and Parks Committee, said publicly-accessible electric vehicle charging stations will encourage people to buy electric vehicles, also known as EVs.
“One of the concerns that some commuters have about electric vehicles is ‘range anxiety’ – the fear that an electric vehicle might not reach its destination because of its limited range,” Deal said. “A regional network of charging stations will reduce that anxiety.”
Although it typically takes four to six hours to fully charge an electric vehicle’s battery, the 240-volt charging stations can provide a reasonable “top-up” within one to two hours, providing enough additional power to go another 20 or 40 kilometres.
Over 12 years, an electric vehicle that travels 20,000 kilometres annually will eliminate 100 per cent of that vehicle’s tailpipe emissions and save $20,000 in fuel costs.
A recent Metro Vancouver report to the Environment and Parks Committee estimated that eight chargers would cost $64,000 in capital and installation costs, or about $8,000 for each charger. About half of this cost will be recovered from the provincial grant program. Electricity costs are estimated at about one dollar per day per charging stall.
New Electric V. Stations accross North America

325 electric vehicle charging stations across New York State
ALBANY - Ten companies, municipalities and other entities have been awarded $4.4 million to enable more than 325 new electric-vehicle (EV) charging stations to be installed across New York State.
New York State's electric-vehicle charging stations are supported by a joint effort by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)'s Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Demonstration Program and the U.S. Department of Energy.
With high gas prices, EVs provide a fuel-efficient alternative to gas- and diesel-powered vehicles while helping reduce the nation and state’s dependence on fossil fuels. A diverse infrastructure of EV charging stations will create new jobs and business opportunities across the state, as well as helping promote the sale of electric cars, trucks and other vehicles.
"With New Yorkers facing higher prices at the pump, the state is stepping up to make owning an electric vehicle an affordable and convenient option," Governor Andrew Cuomo said. "Creating an infrastructure to accommodate electric vehicles will create jobs and new economic development across the state, while reducing our carbon footprint and helping protect the environment."
New York's transportation sector has considerable potential for energy efficiency. Transportation makes up about three-fourths of the state’s oil consumption, and nearly 40 percent of the state’s greenhouse gas emissions.
NYSERDA will also be managing a $10 million fund that offers vouchers of up to $20,000 per vehicle for the purchase of EV commercial trucks weighing more than 10,000 pounds.
Yup already read it Thanks, Everyone should read the whole Document.
have a great weekend
Blairman
Thanks Chippy, IMO today in Washington the logical outcome to me is LR easily succeeded in securing ALL our future Permitting. No way after hearing what he and others said today about the Critical metals and we are # 4 in the USA ( MN) EMM, EMD) we wont have roadblocks on that issue and we are GREEN, and virtually no water waste , minimal pollution, minimal hydro, no environmental issues, , ZERO domestic supply, etc How many times do we all have to say, Yes the SP sucks and it got killed, but even Baja Mining is slowly coming back from being crushed over 84% in the last 90 days after their PFS and they have many more issue than we do, and its climbed back from .15 to touching .22 in only a couple weeks, also VTR Volta Resources was crushed from well over $1.10 to .45 after a Tetra Tech PFS 3 weeks before AMY, HIGHER Capex. Close your eyes and if you are happy with having enough shares , and you will wake up happy soon. If not but more to reduce your avg SP
see ya later Blairman

American Manganese Corporate Activity Update2 minutes ago by Marketwire
Larry W. Reaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Manganese Inc. ("American Manganese" or the "Company"), (TSX VENTURE: AMY)(PINK SHEETS: AMYZF)(FRANKFURT: 2AM), provides short to medium term corporate activity for the Company and advancing its 100% owned Artillery Peak Manganese Project (Mohave County, Arizona).
Mr. Reaugh says, "In the immediate term, the NI 43-101 compliant Technical Report is being compiled and edited, and will be filed with the regulators on SEDAR by the end of June. The Company will address recommendations made in the Technical Report and pace the advancement of the project so as to maximize the value of its available cash."
He goes on to say, "Over the medium term, the Company remains focused on becoming a low cost producer of electrolytic manganese metal (EMM). As part of our goal to becoming a strategic provider of manganese in North America, I am pleased to be speaking at the Strategic Minerals Conference in Washington, D.C."
The one day Strategic Minerals Conference on June 6, 2012 will bring together representatives from the public, private and government sectors to discuss the growing demand for a strategic minerals reserve in North America. Larry W. Reaugh will represent the Company on an afternoon panel discussion regarding the private sector perspective and the path to production.
"We are pleased to be participating in a conference which stresses the need for more North American production of critical metals," says Larry Reaugh. "Manganese has been considered a critical and strategic metal by the U.S. government for nearly 100 years, yet China controls 98% of the world's supply and production and there is currently no operating manganese mines in North America. Our flagship property, Artillery Peak, was once used for the critical build-up of North American manganese reserves during the 1950's, and today we are seeing a similar situation where global demand of manganese in the steel and cleantech industries is justifying the revival of a North American producer."
"I am also pleased to report that the Company continues to cultivate strategic partnering relationships with EMM end users and emerging rechargeable battery end users. In these volatile financial markets, this is a long arduous process mutual due diligence. These groups recognize the strategic imperative of supply chain security; and the risks, lead time and money needed to build a new mine," concludes Mr. Reaugh.

Company News Alert
American Manganese Inc. Adds Expertise to Board of Directors (ccnm)
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2012) - Larry W. Reaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Manganese Inc. ("American Manganese" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AMY)(PINKSHEETS:AMYZF)(FRANKFURT:2AM), is pleased to announce the addition of Jan Eigenhuis to the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Eigenhuis is a former senior executive at Manganese Metal Company of South Africa (MMC). He currently acts as a consultant to the electrolytic manganese industry worldwide. It is notable that he counts MMC as well as the Chinese manganese producers as clients.
Jan is a graduate of the University of Pretoria; B.Sc. (Chem. & Math.) and the University of South Africa; MBL (Master Business Leadership). His 30 years of business experience in mineral beneficiation and the electrolytic manganese metal industry entails too much to detail here; highlights include:
• Management of R&D and process control laboratories in the chemical and mining industries, including the establishment of automated X-ray fluorescence spectrometry as a major analytical tool;
• Production management in mineral beneficiation (phosphate, copper and zirconium) and manganese electrolytic refining; commissioning of manganese sulfate production facilities and establishment of AI/Mn briquetting facilities;
• Launching and developing international markets for MnSO4, high purity ferrite grade Mn3O4 and feed-grade MnO products;
• Technical management of electrolytic manganese metal production - process and product development; of note is the achievement of a reduction in power consumption by cell geometry redesign;
• Environmental management at corporate and international level; hazardous landfill site licensing, construction and commissioning; consulting to the Chinese EPA to raise the standards of environmental management in the Chinese manganese metal industry;
• Recognized as an expert by the Peoples Republic of China; nominated by the Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection for and a finalist in the 2009 China Green Person of the Year awards.
"The addition of Mr. Eigenhuis to the American Manganese Board provides the Company with another strong independent director with valuable experience and relationships in the manganese industry. His excellent background and experience will be invaluable to the Company and its stakeholders. I am very pleased to welcome Jan to our Board," said Larry Reaugh.
Give your head a shaker, shorter, we are far from done, the dance starts now. BUY not sell.
plenty of upside now,
Blairman
Blairman says Relax people, it was a little shock and Aw but we finally have real numbers for financing, offtake agreements, JV check out the posts on Stockhouse. Blairman got beat up today like a ALI vs Frazier, but I still bought some shares and will tomorrow. We now are the lowest cost producer, Green mining , Only domestic supply and in the next 90 to 120 days all the EMD/LMD CMD results etc, Nothing but upside IMO
look at CUM Cooper Mining TSX PFS came out not perfect and then went from $2 to $8 in less than 4 months a low grade Copper mine. $500 million is not a lot in comparison to other juniors,. BHP tonight announced cutbacks on spending , BUT NOT on IRON ORE LOL
Blairman
Sources within the Company commented,
“They reached out to Larry Reaugh, CEO of American Manganese to participate on a panel regarding manganese as a critical metal related to National Security of the United States, June 6, 2012, highlighting issues related to National Security & Critical Metals.”
American Resource Policy Network (www.AmericanResources.org), a Washington, D.C.-based 501c3 established to educate and inform public discussion on foreign resource dependency and the value of domestic resource development to economic competitiveness, technological innovation and national security. Mr. Reaugh “was invited to sit on a panel bringing private sector experience into the policy-making community in Washington. Manganese, as a critical metal, would be a subject of considerable interest.”
They are delighted to hear “what it's like bringing a critical metal mine into production - policy makers in D.C. need to gain the private sector perspective.”

well see who made the best move in a few months selling or holding or buying all the way down?? fun stuff isnt it, its only $$$
