Bet they have been getting a few of those lately!! LOL!
Let me know if they send an apology note back!
I for one have always appreciated your honesty, Due dilligence, and experience that you have lended to the boards. Regardless of what happens I wanted you to know I appreciate the character that you have shown here.
And yes I think Smoke em is a complete tool! What a con!
Wait a week or two.. we will have allot to smile about! IMO
You are a smart kid!
What proof do you have of that?
Based on months of DD done here! I will ride the money behind the scenes. Care less about day to day here.
Who cares? Bring it!! I am waiting for the real show to begin when they announce a pps buyout.
Hmmm... maybe. Just seems odd anyone would short it at these levels and with the potential for a merger/buyout looming.
Like playing Russian Roulette... quite a gamble.
I agree about the perception.. and understand it. Just thinking that EVDR might not care so much about the perception of things when they are so close to finalizing everything. And yes, I know as stockholders we want to hear something from the company. Seems most companys now deal more in dollars and cents, then how their stockholders percieve them. Especially in a situation like this one, am sure when announcement is made they will have no problem getting more stockholders. Opposed to the ones now that become weary of waiting and sell their shares.
I am sure it isnt a large amount of money to them, still if your status would change in a few days, week, why spend it?
I wouldnt regardless of how much money I was worth.
Why pay the 4k if merger news is imminent and will make the filing irrelevant? My thought is that they would only do that if the news is coming out very shortly, only an opinion but think we will see something within a very short time frame. 10 days or less.
I think you missed my point. I doubt whether ATRN competitors would buy up shares of ATRN. What they would do is use the dark period to create doubt in ATRN customers and potential customers as to their viability to remain as an ongoing concern. That alone could steer business away from ATRN. Also I doubt whether ATRN would divulge much information to their large accounts, as that would constitute illegal activity. I do think they have probably communicated in some way to their customers that they intend on being around whether as ATRN private, or merged with another company. The point is that the longer ATRN stays in this "dark period" the more it is going to hurt them with business going forward.
Probably their potential customers would not know, but you can bet that ATRN competitors would know, and they would make certain that potential clients of ATRN would know also. I was in the manufacturing business for several years, the thing that always amazed me is that our competitors would use anything that they could to sway our customers opinion of us. If I was a competitor of ATRN I would have a field day with their going dark!!
I agree in part with that, however most customers would also want some assurance that the company they are doing business with will be around. When ATRN went dark then it opens up the question.. as to whether they will continue to be in business. If I was a potential customer of ATRN that would be one of my concerns.
What are the advantages/disadvantages for ATRN to remain in the dark?
As far as the advantages side, it could allow ATRN to slowly buy the shares as stockholders weary of the drama and sell.
On the negative side, I strongly believe that it would deter them from acquiring new customers. Going into a trade show being labeled a dark company, is akin to being in purgatory. LOL. Nobody knows what to think of the company. Their competition could use it against them.
IMO I cannot see them remaining in the dark for too long of a period if a buyout/merger is in the works. To me it makes no sense. Thoughts?
Oh really? LOL! I am sure before this came down ATRN paid a visit to their largest clients. They might not have spelled out we are going to merge, or are being bought out. But you can bet without saying much of anything they gave a wink and a nod to let them know that things were going to be alright.
I worked in upper management for a publicly traded firm, and you can bet that they have a way of communicating things without coming out and spelling it out in detail.
I hope you are not that naive my friend.
I do agree that ATRN will announce a buyout most likely Thursday after the close.
If you are talking about Atrn clients, bet they knew before we did.
I believe we will see an announcement no later then after close on Thursday. Right now they are trading just to fish to see if they can buy back more shares on the cheap.
Not sure why I would want to buy yours at $1.50 when that is what I want to sell mine for. But maybe you are implying $1.50 is undervalued? LOL
I would like to see a close at $1.50!
It was rhetorical.... LOL
I would think even the day traders would see the potential for much bigger money than this. Even they cant be that shortsighted. Can they?
Really surprised that people are selling at this level. Never excpected this much volume today. Wish I had another 25k to throw at it.
Really think those that were going to sell sold on Friday. Doubt if there is very little volume, can't imagine people selling now.
Yep, buying low is one thing.. trying to intentionally mislead people to shake shares loose, is dirty.
I think PK went to the OMW school of trading. LOL
Whenever I see someone doing that, especially so persistently.. it always raises red flags. Be better off to suit the agenda to be more subtle.
I believe the offer will be very fair, the last thing ATRN wants is to deal with is a bunch of angry ex shareholders. They just want us gone, they have bigger plans this year then having to deal with us. They have to pay fair market value, we will be fine.
Give you A for effort Pk! Doubt if there are too many here that held Friday that are going to pry loose their shares.
Have you been following the chain of events? Or is this your first day on the board?
That is too much logic in one post, dam it!!
Really? Who?
Renees points were IMO, here is a possibility, conjecture. Sure, could be no matter how remote. ATRN wasnt some typical pink sheet company, they were on the Nasdaq. They could have hired the manager at the 7 Eleven if all they wanted was a CEO to lead them to deregulation.(No offense to 7 Eleven managers) They went out and hired a CEO who specializes in cutting costs. And A CFO who specializes in mergers/acquisitions. They have Mark Dyne money behind them. They have approximately 50 million dollars in revenues.
Their competition would have a field day if they went dark and stayed their for any period of time. Can you imagine the whispering at the trade shows to ATRN's clients and future clients? Now does anyone really think that a company that has the kind of clout that ATRN has behind it slinking away in the shadows of a deregulated company?
Defys logic to me, but thats just me.
Current price per share has nothing to do with market value of the company. That is what the buyout will be based on.
Agree that the price has already been determined. Dont think they would try to get away with that kind of buyout. Their books are still subject to a review and fair business practices at the time of a buyout. ATRN doesnt want any problems from the current stockholders, they just want them to go away.
Would bet .80 cents minimum.. but thats just me.
Sorry, makes no sense. If ATRN were going to dillute why retire the outstanding shares?
I could go on and on with logic, but I think most people understand that is not a remote possibility, based on what we have seen here.
It means the float is at, or very near locked. The only sellers next week will be those who are panicking.
Two different situations. The company did what they had to do last year to get their house in order. It was all part of a overall plan to cut spending, work a deal with BD on debt. Which conveniently the two companys had more than a vendor/customer relationship.(and ultimately an obvious master plan) I agree that ATRN might not give two hoots about their stockholders, however when they propose the buyout offer.. you can bet that it will be acceptable. ATRN is gearing up for big things, and opening themselves up to law suits is not one of them.
Absolutely none! That dillution theory brought up here is the most absurd one yet.
Yes, there are no more company shares that they will be offering. So where will the trading come from? Shares that are already held either by institutions or retail stock holders. And you can bet the institutions are not cutting loose of any of their shares! LOL
