They'll get an extension...they owe too much money.
If I had any cajones, I'd buy GGP at close. Surely it's got a .20-.30 bounce in it.
However, they are in a pile of debt...and a pile of debt of shopping mall estate. THat's bad.
Very. Not a good day to be playing with this market. Looks like everything on my screen is going to close LOD....
I'll keep my hand out of the fire today. lol.
Give me a few stocks you're seeing delays on, so I can see how it's running against my other feeds...
It's definitely struggling to turn around. I'm tempted to take some to bed with me, though.
GGP in the final hour for a bouncer? Whatcha think, player?
Nite:
>>Is there a way to show 52 week hi and low on the stock listings?(Streamer). Is there a column that shows that info? If not, can it be added?
Strangely enough, I don't see it; I'll request it.
>>Also, do you know if REAL TIME TSX includes level 2 or Market Depth as they call it in Canada eh?
I think ADVFN John sent you a private message on that - take a peak - it was a week or two ago.
I thought you might have been reading a bit too fast, big fella! We haven't changed any of the 'rules' in quite a long time.
You can link to any non-stock-specific board you like - GUNS board is just fine.
What new signature rules are you referring to, Gary?
Just want to say good job to everybody on this thread.
I follow as often as I can. Great traders here, no BS, to the point, as iHub should be. I tend to pick off the bouncers myself. I go to the Top Lists here and take a look at the biggest decliners - do a bit of quick DD on the high volume ones (I don't bother with the ones <1M vol) to see if they were whipped too hard in my opinion based on seat of my pants observations - if so, I go in. Has worked quite well for me lately.
FCSX is one I played along with you guys on today.
I saw AHII, just couldn't get to like it as much as I cuddled it and pet it.
Sold 3.80 at the close. Strong close, probably should have held, but that was a nice chunk of green love sitting there smiling at me, so I had to take it down. Woooooot!
OK, DAVE has fixed the past signature issue and everybody should be in full compliance now.
I can now get back to rounding up IRPs.
I know quite a few of you have sent me folks who aren't disclosing and/or are and haven't signed up as IRP - I'll contact them today.
PLEASE send me any more you're aware of so I can touch base with 'em.
Grabbed some FCSX. Will probably hold overnight. I think 45% is a bit too much punishment...
Not a trade I feel strongly about, though.
I'm trying to behave, Susie!!!! DON'T TORTURE ME!
>>What does Admin say about making boards for different symbols related to one company? Should there be 4 boards or 2 or what?
I'm letting it fly right now. We've never had to deal with this before, so I'm going to see how the cookie crumbles. I can clean it up later.
Personally, I'm fond of one board per company. Our rule says one board per ticker, though...there's opinions going both ways.
The ADVFN Level 2 was built for international use - the same Level 2 app works in Brazil, Italy, UK, etc.
and as for it catering only to OTC, that's only temporary. OTCBB/Pinks was the natural first step in the US due to them owning iHub...Nyse/Naz is next....then the stats (especially flow) will make a lot of sense. :)
Q: For those of you actively traded NYSE stocks right now, what data feed for Level 2 are you watching?
For Level 1, everybody is viewing the NYSE Level 1 feed.
Are you using the NYSE OpenBook ($60-90 per month) OR are you using what's available via NASDAQ Level 2 - (NSDQ and various regional exchanges report via it).
I don't see it listed as an option on Alphatrade, so I assume all the AT folks are using the NASDAQ information. Same with Ameritrade clients. While incomplete, it's a decent picture into the market, IMO. It just couldn't be marketed as full NYSE Level 2/OpenBook.
Would appreciate any feedback on this, as I'll smack ADVFN around to get the feeds as needed....
BTW, DJ News is coming soon, the newsfeed maestro was working on it today. This will be a fantastic addition!
Those stats come in handy on normal markets (LSE, AIM, NAZ, NYSE) -- but they're useless for OTCBB & Pinks due to the rather strange order size rules and such.....
Allan,
Here's the number for support to contact -- they can help you out and/or handle a cancellation.
Call 1-888-99-ADVFN (toll free)
If you could describe the issues you had a little more, that'd be appreciated - for my own knowledge.
If they're on the auto-renewing subscription, they won't have the gift option. Some funkadelicness with the billing system...that we don't want to tinker with.
I'm not vouching for the static ADVFN charts, but has anybody tried them? They even spit out the code to link to them.
The streaming charts are most excellent, but you can't link to/embed them unfortunately.

It probably had a lot to do with the fact that:
1. The post you were replying to had the comment about #1 stuck in among some other on topic commentary. Your was just an OT comment. Harmless, but still OT..
2. I'd suspect the Mod was a bit frustrated with you as it was for having to delete all this stuff earlier in the day:
Message:
does he wear boxers or briefs?
Message:
give it time...
the only difference is you wont see me over there making stupid comments after something happens..
Message:
get 2 glasses plz.
Message:
what in the FREK was that..
Message:
you are about as dumb as a box of rocks dude..
please go back to the BNPD board where you probably sound intelligent.
They're adding DOW JONES in the next few days/weeks. I think they signed contract a few days ago.
DJ is the best, imo.
Sure. Carry on, it's all good stuff. :)
You can't verify, yet you make a public statement that's completely devoid of any facts (or logic for that matter)....
and you're a guy who's livelihood depends on people trusting him for his opinion on "quality" stocks, eh?
Brilliant.
Oh! Nyse/AMEX/NAZ Level 2 hasn't been implemented.
They had it for years, nobody bought it (they had little presense in the US).
Now that they've got presense in the US via iHub/SI, once I've got some folks shouting for it, they will turn it back on.
So, for now, it's just as it's marketed -- Small Cap Pro -- with Level 2 only for small caps (bb/pinks).
I must applaud you nerds and the Mods out there...
I've seen some absolutely gorgeous iboxes lately. Very organized, useful, and just look GREAT!
>>Is there any way to remove Indices that I don't want to see from the Indices tab on the Level 2 page?
No, sorry, that'd currently hard-coded. However, I might be able to get it changed for US clients - we just care about DOW, S&P, NAZ, and Russel, yeah?
>>Where is the B/A line up?
On level 2? The level 1 last price is at the top; the best bid/ask is in yellow just above the montage/Market Makers.
>>What if I get it, then decide later to cancel. They put it on auto renew on mastercard.
correct, it's an auto-renewal system; you're free to cancel it via email, a link they send in initial email, or via phone.
As for your free trial, I've set you up with a week of Small Cap Pro. Log out of iHub and back in - you should be set then.
* Take a look at tools to play with: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/advfn_tools.aspx
Absolutely, dude.
Hooked you up for a week.

How does it work? Talk to me! Somebody is screwing me, apparently. My paycheck is tiny compared to what I should be making if I were to short your deals.
ADVFN owned and/or backed by hedge funds? Do tell!!
I think you misread me or I wrote poorly.
Let me try again.
We've enabled everybody to properly disclose.
If you don't need to, in your opinion, that's fine. I can't force you to disclose if you believe you're within the law - it sounds like you probably are, so good for you.
The SEC comment was simply referring to the fact that if you ARE breaking the law (I have no idea), the SEC can sort you out, not me.
Does that make sense?
Looks like we're in good company.

lol.
Flipped HIG for some love. She's volatile!
BULLY,
I'm not an SEC attorney, so I don't know what the law is on this specific case.
I've enabled everybody to disclose/disclaim properly. If he feels that he doesn't need to, there's no way I can force it.
It's up to the SEC to sort that out with him.
