monday imo eom
This is one of the craziest weeks in the market I've ever seen. In fact, since New year's, I cannot remember a time with this much volatility other than the bubble burst of 2000 and post 9/11.
Buzz
He's on a predetermined sales schedule that is perfectly legal, and done by many ceo's - you'll recall the ceo of abrx had the same type thing. Many CEO's/insiders started doing this after the tech bubble burst. They prefile their intent to sell on options excercise with the sec, then it's carried out automatically.
He also gets a 35 mil buyout bonus as per his golden parachute.
He's a fucking idiot and ruined that company, put 20K people out of work so far, but a rich fucking idiot.

Here's my most important prediction:
Maria will weigh 400 lbs within 5 years.
She's a friggin blimp.

I'm looking at the 1470 area SPX. eom
Congrats zeph!!!!!
HDSN, mini weeeeeeeeeeeee. eom
That 1420 SPX, 1430 ES looks like the point the shorts decided to pile back in on the bernanke spike.
Buzz
I wasn't watching the s and p, just the ES, and we bounced exactly off the TL connecting the previous 2 lows at 1385 (10 pt premium on futs = 1375 spx). I have upside for the bounce at about 1440, but haven't looked closely.

Should get a good bounce off 1375ish s and p if we get there. TL connecting the march/aug lows.
Buzz
Take out dupont and the dow would be down about 120 right now.
Buzz
1:30 est daily crash coming? eom
Thanks, was just curious your reason for the trade. I agree w/ a pullback to 800, especially if we get an emergency rate cut, which I think we might just to calm the market.
Buzz
Question, zeph. Why are you shorting gold with a recession looming? Purely technical?
Gold's going to 1000 soon after the breakout.
Buzz
Ditto CFC. Their entire value is tied up in their servicing portfolio. They may have to sell that to generate cash and fulfill debt covenants.
Buzz
One psychological difference I've noticed. Up until the beginning of the year, early rallies produced short squeezes. The shorts have lived in fear for years. Now, early rallies are sold heavily. The fear has shifted from shorts to dip buyers. This is seen in the breakout of the VIX over a long term downtrend line, meaning the market is pricing in more risk.
Buzz
I'm guessing this isn't going to work out for you.
Buzz
Oddly enough, market breadth wasn't really as bad as the numbers today. about 2.4 to 1.
Buzz
Should get a good bounce off 1375ish s and p if we get there. TL connecting the march/aug lows.
Buzz
and me, lol. eom
Nasdaq 65 pts down from the HOD. eom
Yep, and I sure wouldn't risk going long at the close and holding overnight, lol. Could just crash on us, but I'll say a snapback.
Buzz
Nasdaq down 8 days in a row if it closes red today, which looks pretty darn obvious unless ben pops out an emergency rate cut in the next 48 minutes.
Mr fibonaci would say a snap back rally tomorrow.
Buzz
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! eom
Holy cow, dow just dropped 100 points in a few blinks.
Buzz
I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung
Don't know 'bout smarter, but definitely better looking. Especially than that 2 bit whore maria. I look MUCH better in a tight dress than she does.
Buzz
Geez, today's the first day in months I've traded with cnbc on. Now I know why I leave it off. Cramer's a friggin idiot.
Buzz
My theory is the markets can't decide which way to go right now due to indecision, not uncertainty.
Hey, can I be a cnbc analyst now?
Buzz
I loved cnbc analysts. Absolute geniuses:
"The market can't decide which way it wants to go due to uncertainty".
makes perfect sense to me.

Countrywide rejects bankruptcy rumor
Tuesday January 8, 1:11 pm ET
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Countrywide Financial Corp (NYSE:CFC - News), the largest U.S. mortgage lender, on Tuesday rejected market speculation that it was planning to file for bankruptcy protection.
"There is no substance to the rumor that Countrywide is planning to file for bankruptcy, and we are not aware of any basis for the rumor that any of the major rating agencies are contemplating negative action relative to the company," Countrywide said in a statement.
Shares of the Calabasas, California-based lender were down $1.63, or 21.3 percent, at $6.01 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange, ahead of a trading halt.
Here comes bk. eom
Then you'll love the new pink ipo I heard about. you get on a ferris wheel, watch a ride film of new york narrated by kevin bacon, and when you get off, you have a full head of hair. But the real catch is, the ferris wheel digs up diamonds as it goes around in circles, and everyone who buys shares for .0001 each will eventually get 1.47 per share.
Buzz
friggin GLTY. eom
CEO's don't lie. It's against their code of ethics. I'm sure he's an upstanding "Captain of Industry", lolololololol.
Buzz
I'm still waiting for a final buy or two on it. Thing moves pretty slowly most of the time so in no hurry.
Buzz
You know me. I don't touch pinks unless the ceo is a crook, the sec is threatening to suspend, and it's headed for the greys.
Buzz
His first buy was 12/10 around .20. That's a bk waiting to happen, so i just don't wanna touch it.
Remember when that was an old monk pick a few years ago at 6.00, bounced to 12.00?
Buzz
He should be almost b/e on it. eom
Almost. down 98.03, have a nice weekend all!
POS gonna bounce into the close. eom
