Almost 8% of the float in volume today. Nice percentage.
Even if it stays flat tomorrow, building a bit of support would help in the long run.
All in all a pretty good run the last several trading days. Little by little, step by step, that's just the way I like to see things grow.
JMHO,
GLTA in ELRA!
None taken. Your figures were based on a common error. Others seem to have just picked numbers out of thin air.
Don't worry, your grog ration is safe!
Ok, let's put all of this "weight of paper" issue to bed.
The weight of a single sheet of 8.5" x 11" 20# paper according to Wikipedia = .16 ounces.
http://www.informedbanking.com/wiki/Weight_of_one_piece_of_paper
Multiply that times the number of sheets in the submission (562) you get 89.92 ounces, or 5.62 pounds. Add in the binder, engineered drawings, separator sheets between sections and miscellaneous items, let's call it 6.6 pounds. 6 copies of the amendment would equal 39.6 pounds.
Six copies is a conservative estimate for the number required copies by the DRMS.
In any case, this whole dispute of what the amendment submission weight was is an exercise in futility and a deliberate attempt to derail serious discussions. No matter what it did weigh, the salient point is that it was received by the DRMS, posted on their website, and is being reviewed by all the parties involved.
Questioning CGFIA's integrity over an off hand remark by a board poster is equal to saying birds can't fly because a feather falls to the ground by itself. It is a fallacious analogy.
When the May date for final review arrives, and the process is complete, the doubters will choose some other item to use to try to accomplish their agenda.
When CGFIA is producing gold, it will be another thing used. This pattern will continue ad nadsuem, even in the face of absolute proof of a profitable, ongoing operation.
Some of the above is JMO, but the calculations and references are not.
Accept them, or not, but this "weight of document" discussion is a red herring!
Did you find those shares in Italy? I'm reluctant to mix Italian grog with Colorado grog. God only knows what will happen!
Happy to make the addition for you, Sergey, and good to have you back!
(So should we call you for those new mini Fiats I see advertised? They look small enough to put into the bed of my pickup as a "spare car"! )
Glad we could bring a little laughter to your day. We try to please everyone on the CGFIA board!
GLTY!
Hey 567, May I also add my thanks for all the 'weight' you carry for us on this board. You are the CGFIA "Duke of Due Diligence"
Have a Grog on me!
Hey, FYI, Superbowl Sunday, someone posted from "The Grog Shop" in Newburyport! (wish I could remember who it was.) It got a good rating! Sorry about the Pats!
No, Kitt, I meant fictitious. And thank you for pointing out my typo.
My question was intended to point out that talking about the weight of the submission being "a little inconsistency", as you did, seems to cast aspersions on its validity or its existence. But you didn't go so far as to explain your meaning of that "little inconsistancy" statement until after I asked.
I do not have a link to any CGFIA PR claiming the weight of the documents. As far as I know, CGFIA never made the weight claim. That could have been a poster on this board or anyone from anywhere else. MY point is that is is a rather obscure topic to be disputing. And as you have just pointed out, it may not even be attributable to anyone related to CGFIA.
Outlaw, does that get me an extra half ration of Grog today? I certainly could use it!
Thanks, as the myopic umpire said "I just calls 'em as I sees 'em"!
Really, all joking aside, how can anyone look at a document as detailed and extensive as CFGIA's AM-03 and suspect it is anything but a real, honest attempt to answer the DRMS and other regulatory agencies' questions, concerns and regulations?
Just a non sequitur, but I think most of us know that already.
GLTYA
"Weight a minute!"
I seem to remember that the DRMS is now waiting to hear from 8 or 9 other agencies about objections to the AM-03. (I may be off on the exact number.) Each of those agencies would require at least one or two hard copies of the report.
The report would include folded drawings, separator tabs, and of course BINDERS for each report. (It probably required 2 volumes for each copy.)
It is very easy to see how multiple copies of an extensive report such as the one filed by CGFIA with the DRMS, would quickly add up to a weight stated by CGFIA.
(I used to write documents like this in my job. To just look at the page weight is omitting about 60% of the total weight.)
It's these little inconsistencies in logic like this that make me wonder what is being suggested by quoting the page weight.
Is this meant to suggest that this document is fictions? That the document shown on the DRMS web page doesn't really exist? Or is it implying that it is inaccurate?
I see this page weight argument for what it is by definition:
Reductio ad absurdum (Latin: "reduction to the absurd") a form of argument in which a proposition is disproven (or attempted to be disproven) by following its implications logically to an absurd consequence. (in this case, the weight is wrong, therefore the document is wrong, or does not exist?.)
The problem with this method, in this case is; IT(the document) EXISTS, THEREFORE IT IS. So if it is being implied that the document does not exist or is "inaccurate", just because the naked page weight quoted is incorrect, then what are we seeing on the DRMS website?
And really out of all the hundreds of possible points to be discussed, isn't this a ridiculous point to choose to show?
JMHO, but then so is the argument about the weight not being correct.
GLTYA!
Hey troger, good to hear from you! It's been way too long. Last time I remember seeing your posts you were jonesing for 7's
Hope you are doing well. We will see 7's again real soon, I am sure.
Take care,
MT
Let's hope he have a nice large green candle for your b'day from CGFIA!
GLTA!
Thanks, I just didn't want to start an avalanche of rumors about CGFIA since we are going under scrutiny by the public and the DRMS also.
Someone may have read your post and thought it was CGFIA.
No harm!
Have a good weekend, whoever you are betting on in the Superbowl. I need to remain neutral. I have a brother in NY, and another in MA. I'll play referee on Sunday for sure!
I am assuming this is about the WILDCAT operation, not CGFIA, am I right?
Scottrade, no $500 to start, but you do not need to maintain that balance, $7.00 per trade, plus 1/2 of 1% for any stock priced below $4.00.
Good Luck, hope you get what you need.
Didn't think of that! Out here that is usually coyote, or occasionally (very rarely) a roadrunner. I may have to add some extra spices to the coyote, if I can run one over. ( That is how you get fresh road kill, isn't it, do it yourself?)
Ok all you PETA advocates I don't really kill coyotes! Remember I have my jester costume on today!
But all joking aside, the May deadline for the AM-03 isn't tragic. I think we will have the work finished on the settling ponds and this will be the last piece required to make CGFIA a fully functioning, gold producing, profit making company!
I have my jester costume on today, too! After all, TGIF! And Superbowl too! I'm going to cook some chili, but I couldn't get that damn groundhog to sit still so I could shoot him. I guess ground beef is as close as I can come!
Let's look for a GREEN close today! Is that asking too much?
The last log house she was in her brother and half of the neighbors in Fort Yukon built. (really a cabin, not a house) She needs to be upgraded to something with indoor plumbing. (Tough to get that memory out of a woman's mind, outdoor plumbing.)
I would need to start working on her brain now to make it possible by NEXT Super Bowl.
I would love to see your house. I know how beautiful log houses can be. You should post a pix or two. If not, bring a few to Silverton!
Dealing with government agencies is usually a real crap shoot, Brendan. I'm hoping that some of these guys see the value in opening up some jobs that come with the mill. That, along with the increase in tax base and income may help move things along. But don't hold your breath. (you would be dead by now anyway if you had been!)
We are like riders on a train, we are just along for the ride, and getting off right now would HURT something fierce!
Do you think they will let me pack the groundhog in my carry on?
How do moose burgers and groundhog chilli go together?
Oh, the wife says that Alaska is not even close to the climate she just suggested for me to visit. (But it's ok as long as I don't track dirt in the house when I come home all Grogged up!)
Hang on a minute, AK....
"Honey, we're getting about 50 rowdy guys Sunday to watch the game!"
"What's that? No I don't know where hell is! And yes I am in my right mind!"
Ah, AK, I think I have a domestic situation to deal with.
Now what am I going to do all this groundhog?
Another consideration, the settling pond work should be just about finished by the beginning of May. That puts the final piece of puzzle in place and this would be a "ready to run" situation.
Could all the stars align to make things happen? Could we finally be that lucky?
I'm betting the ranch on it!
CGFIA.
Blame the darn Groundhog! He saw his shadow today, so we got 6 more weeks of "winter in CGFIA land"!
I say we crack open another leg of Grog, roast the groundhog and watch the Super Bowl for starters!
(Mmmmm! Roast Beast sandwiches!)
Sometimes, I am not so sure about that, particularly when I am sent to the doghouse by the wife, moun10mn! (you know what that's like, don't you?)
Hey, we are at 2+ Billion shares out of an O/S of approx. 11 billion, and that is some pretty powerful mice.
And, I will freely admit to watching way too many cartoons. I still watch them, but only the old ones. Now they aren't as good as the old "RoadRunner" or "Tom & Jerry" cartoons. (All you get today is a talking dish sponge in shorts! What's that about?)
Thanks, Coloradogold, and Welcome aboard the CGFIA Armada!
I will add your haul to the total cargo.
Good Luck!
You have to smile, and keep it all in perspective. Otherwise you end up popping blood pressure pills and drinking heavily. (I'm told one of those are bad for you, but I'm not sure which one!)
IMHO, we should have news soon. Then the fun should begin!
Enough mice and we can conquer the cat! We can chew him up and serve him to the dog for breakfast!
CGFIA (Conquer Greedy Feline's Inappropriate Attack)
Thanks, Golgbug! I will be glad to add your holdings to the Armada's holdings!
Good luck to you and all the CGFIA investors.
Heat the oil and man the ramparts! Be ready at the portcullis to drop it at any moment! I see movement on the horizon. It could be the mob of peasant MM's trying to steal the royal jewels!
Good thing the CGFIA gold is still underground!
Hey Goldbug4, you probably know I keep a running total of shares that members of this board hold. We fondly refer to it as the "Armada"(lots of 'boatloads' of stock). With your permission, I would like to include your shares in the count.
No pressure, and I don't give your personal totals to anyone.
We have over 2 billion shares in the Armada so far.
Good Luck, and if it is OK, just reply to me.
Thanks, and welcome aboard! (Grab a grog if you can fight your way through the rest of the crew to the barrel!)
And the King expands his kingdom!
This court jester will gladly do your biding sire!
Shall I place them in the throne room, or in the ballroom?
These CGFIA shares are starting to pile up. We may need to build on to the castle just to hold them!
We at least have a party in our minds, every night!
Pass me another Grog!
Welcome aboard, Firas!
CGFIA
Homie don't shovel, AK! That's why I'm in the desert. (unless I'm shoveling gold into my vault)
Talk to me about the extra snow when it's 110° here!
We can do better than scrambled eggs, maybe "eggs benedict"?
Wear the hat, drink the grog, eat the eggs, repeat (if necessary)!
Keep smiling, MM everyone will wonder what you are up to!
CGFIA
Welcome aboard, starfish! Lots of great DD here. Check out the yellow "stickies" at the top of the page for info about CGFIA, if you need it. The top one by "557tbd" has a boatload of links in it to all sorts of the latest information.
Good Luck!
Hey Dean, Here is Grizz's post from the other night, for you and others who missed his interesting info:
By the time we get to Silverton, you won't need to make any extra cash, you'll be rolling your smokes in $100 bills
We will talk before then, and get a bunch made up to hand out to the crew and employees. Yours we will deck out with the gold "scrambled eggs" on it!
Just like I go through a bag of Fritos, chip by chip!
We will be at the bottom of the bag of 2's soon, hungry for more. And the supply of 3's are limited, IMHO.
(by the way, AK, I like the new avatar picture. Brings back memories of my trip to Ft. Yukon)
Way to do it, '67! That is one great stock of stock. I would buy you that hat myself if I knew your hat size!
I will make sure I get your total correct.
Good luck with your cargo!
CGFIA
Thanks, Scooter!
I will stack the new shares in the cargo hold with all the rest.
Nice buy!
Good Luck!
CGFIA
Just realized "groundhog day" is tomorrow! Hope it is different than the movie, or at least the repetitive events over the last couple months are finally over tomorrow!
CGFIA, see your shadow tomorrow, please?
We need an early spring!
