The charts automatically update and include any more recent annotations I make, you can always go back to one of my posts and see the current situation.
Here's the post with the longer term downtrend/descending triangle, and the answer is "no":

Here's the post with the shorter term downtrend/descending triangle, and the answer is a qualified "yes", subject to chartist's approval ;)

See how they are updated within the post? Cool, eh? :)

Good day Neomites! Or Qodeites! Man, I LOVE Qode as opposed to PaperClick, THAT is a catchy name!

state780 ...
Well, temporarily at least we're above the downtrend line (and out of the SHORTER TERM evil downward triangle of hell LOL), at least as this humble chartist has it drawn and posted earlier.
Not sure this news/etc will sustain the move right now, we'll just have to see of course.
The LONGER TERM downtrend line is depicted here ... and it's not too far away from where NEOM is right now.
There are various levels in hell, right? ;)
QCurt, sure thing ...
... the cool thing about this morning, or ONE cool thing lol, is NEOM is doing this without a gap!
Be nice to see the volume bar overlap the candlestick today!

swayne, chartist:
swayne, okay, you're including high intraday points for drawing the downtrend line, and I typically look at closes in a daily chart.
We're close :)
chartist, I see what you're saying. I didn't say we had a runaway breakout LOL, but that we popped out above the downtrend line. Thanks for your input.

QCurt, re: Aroons:
From http://stockcharts.com/education/IndicatorAnalysis/indic-Aroon.htm
Developed by Tushar Chande in 1995, Aroon is an indicator system that can be used to determine whether a stock is trending or not and how strong the trend is. "Aroon" means "Dawn's Early Light" in Sanskrit and Chande choose that name for this indicator since it is designed to reveal the beginning of a new trend.
The Aroon indicator system consists of two lines, 'Aroon(up)' and 'Aroon(down)'. It takes a single parameter which is the number of time periods to use in the calculation. Aroon(up) is the amount of time (on a percentage basis) that has elapsed between the start of the time period and the point at which the highest price during that time period occurred. If the stock closes at a new high for the given period, Aroon(up) will be +100. For each subsequent period that passes without another new high, Aroon(up) moves down by an amount equal to (1 / # of periods) x 100.
Technically, the formula for Aroon(up) is:
[ [ (# of periods) - (# of periods since highest high during that time) ] / (# of periods) ] x 100
For example, consider plotting a 10-period Aroon(up) line on a daily chart. If the highest price for the past ten days occurred 6 days ago (4 days since the start of the time period), Aroon(up) for today would be equal to ((10-6)/10) x 100 = 40.
Aroon(down) is calculated in just the opposite manner, looking for new lows instead of new highs. When a new low is set, Aroon(down) is equal to +100. For each subsequent period that passes without another new low, Aroon(down) moves down by an amount equal to (1 / # of periods) x 100.
The formula for Aroon(down) is :
[ [ (# of periods) - (# of periods since lowest low during that time) ] / (# of periods) ] x 100
Continuing the example above, if the lowest price in that same ten-day period happened yesterday (i.e. on day 9), Aroon(down) for today would be 90.
Chande states that when Aroon(up) and Aroon(down) are moving lower in close proximity, it signals that a consolidation phase is under way and no strong trend is evident. When Aroon(up) dips below 50, it indicates that the current trend has lost its upward momentum. Similarly, when Aroon(down) dips below 50, the current downtrend has lost its momentum. Values above 70 indicate a strong trend in the same direction as the Aroon (up or down) is under way.
=============================================================
The Aroons figure in to Ken Goodrich's Magic Box setup, primarily when #1 and #6 occur, with #2 confirming:
#1. AROON- 8 You watch as the Aroon down crosses the 75 down and the aroon up comes up from zero. Most important. (\0/)
#2. WILLIAMS%R- 9 You watch the line cross the 50.
#3. ADX/DMI-5 You watch as the D+ line either crosses, or is higer then the D-
#4. MACD histogram- 5,15,10 You watch the negative bars register -50% smaller then the bar before it, or -50% smaller then the largest in the grouping.
#5. Full Stoch- 5,5 You watch the fast line cross the slow line while the aroon down(8) crosses the 87.50. Crossing the 20 would be best, when the williams agrees.
#6. Bollinger Band 20,2 You watch for the Magic Box to occur when the negative close touches above the lower bolly and the next day’s close to it is positive growth in a white candle.
Hmmm chartist...
That was the same chart I posted the other day, same triangle, when you said:

jonesi....re: chart....
Yes, Descending Triangles normally break to the downside but anything CAN happen. You will note that at the top of your chart, in the 40 cent range, there was an Ascending Triangle which is normally bullish.... but it broke down.
One think is almost for sure: Neom is going to make a fairly noticeable break from this triangle VERY soon."
============================================================
That was a short term descending triangle I showed, not the longer term downtrend line which, sadly, yes, NEOM is still well below:
NEOM popped out of the descending triangle to the upside today.
Duh, I guess everybody knew that though ;)
Perhaps those positive indicator trends noted two days ago WERE telegraphing something?
Keep it up!
LOL, American Bulls, messing up again.
Gave a confirmed SELL at the end of day yesterday.
;)
jonesie
Nice work EDOQ, end of story! EOM
Wow, SHM attendees placing orders on their PDA's?
;)
jonesie
clawmann, thanks.
From a non-TA perspective I am pumped about NEOM's future. I would be TOTALLY pumped if this increase in O/S wasn't hanging over things, the NEOM PPS would be rocking and rolling right now if it wasn't for that IMHO.
Good luck to all!
jonesie
Wow, 10% swings and some very interesting news.
Someone wondered if NEOM was back in a quiet period for some reason the other day, it sure doesn't look like it.
jonesie
carlinhoske:
Well I yanked my GTC order at 8.60 this morning because in spite of the expected trendline hit and maybe a little overshoot (thus the order below the trendline), the chart just feels a bit "hinky" to me.
If I'm wrong and CHYS takes off, I'll still be happy, if I'm right, I'll get some lower, after a confirmed bottom and reversal somewhere.
Trying to decide where my pain point is in case of some further consolidation/retracement. I'm thinking if the chart doesn't straighten up a bit, I may be there right now, don't want to lose the profits booked from previous trades, and I'm a little better even on my last trendline purchase.
Not that anyone cares LOL.
Good luck!
jonesie
So, can CHYS keep moving up this fairly steep uptrendline?
I keep adding shares on returns to that line, so far so good.
I think I'm going to be glad I've really gone in light ...
... just to keep it on my main radar LOL.
buying opp coming up?

China Digital Announces Termination of Agreement to Acquire Zhuo Tong Power Supply
Monday June 26, 6:00 pm ET
Company Provides Revised Revenue and Earnings Guidance
LOS ANGELES, and SHENZHEN, China, June 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Digital Communication Group (OTC Bulletin Board: CHID - News), one of the fastest growing battery components manufacturers in China, announced today that the company's board of directors has voted to terminate its previously announced agreement to acquire Zhuo Tong Power Supply Company.
China Digital CEO Ran Liang, said, "We were unable to conclude a final agreement that was favorable for our shareholders. Therefore, our board of directors has voted to not proceed with the acquisition. However, we remain on track to conclude our acquisition of Galaxy View International, Ltd., which operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Sono Digital, a leading supplier of third-generation (3G) communications technology and equipment in China. This continues to be an area of high interest to our company, and we will continue to seek out appropriate opportunities in this market segment."
As a result of the termination of the agreement to acquire Zhuo Tong, the company revised its previously announced guidance. Assuming the acquisition of Galaxy View is successfully concluded in 2006, the company said it is targeting 2007 revenue of $30.7 million and net income of $10.1 million with fully diluted EPS of $0.16 per share. Revenue and earnings in 2006 will be determined by the timing of the Galaxy View acquisition. In 2005, Galaxy View had unaudited revenues of $6 million and unaudited net income of $2 million.
The company emphasizes that the foregoing statements regarding targets for 2007 are forward-looking and actual results may differ materially. These are the company's targets, not predictions of actual performance.
Yeah :(
You talking about when NEOM flat-lined in the .35 area?
Anyway, yeah, I hate descending wedges, spooky.
Need some good news!!! What better place to release some good news than a SHM!!!
We're in a tight spot!!
jonesieLookingForAnomalies
p.s. One other thing I see in that daily, IF Full Stochs kept heading up it would be the highest positive crossover in QUITE a while, the last time it did THAT, NEOM had QUITE the PPS runup.
Not much to hang one's hat on in the weekly chart ...
... although I do see two previous MACD uptrends presaging PPS increases ... perhaps this could be the third time, although the rest of the chart looks a bit worse than it did those two previous times. -jonesie
A few positives in the chart ...
... but no confirmed buy signal.
I usually dislike descending wedges, they hammer at support trying to break through it. Interesting that it is tightening down here at the SHM? A few more days and NEOM either finally breaks through support, or slides out from under the short term dowtrend line by default.
As George Clooney said in O Brother Where Art Thou? ...
... "we're in a tight spot!"
LOL
jonesie
OT: SRM, goneom, It is HOT here in West Palm Beach!! Yikes!
I wish I could get over to the SHM, to all who are going, have fun, get the scoop, tell us quick (!) and GOOD LUCK!
jonesie
AMEN!!!!!!! EOM
and lots of folks registering to sell their shares ...
Getting ready for a spike?
Getting tired of waiting and getting out?
Hard to say, time will tell.

NEW YORK, Jun 20, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ckrush, Inc. (CKRH), a producer and distributor of feature films, digital entertainment content, and sports programming, announced today that high demand for tickets to the premiere of "Artie Lange's Beer League," at the 8th Annual CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas required the festival to add an additional screening of the film. Anyone get that woman's name? I suppose she's the gadget guru for CNN Headline News? If I had her name/email addy I'd ask someone where the cut & paste email is to send to folks that are continually promoting Scanbuy and leaving out NEOM.
Oh well.

Market makers seem to be holding this stock close today.
I have been attemping to buy 25,000 shares all day at 0.39 and did not get filled. They would not come off 0.393.

Hey hey hey.
What's up?
Oh, CHID ;)
Amateur hour, or the real deal?
jonesie
Well, jonesie's been cautiously waiting.
Got a few to keep my interest, but you'd be surprised how few LOL.
Waiting on a hindsight-bottom and a good buy signal, I'll miss the bottom that way, but hopefully get the meat of a run. If there is one. There should be. IMHO
jonesie
OT: craft_work
Yes we do need to, that would be cool.
Unfortunately I'm not attending the SHM. I'll be in West Palm Beach next Tues thru Sunday and that's about all the time away I want to spend within a short time frame like that.
There will be far more intelligent questions asked by others than what I would be able to come up with. I mean, what am I gonna ask, what do you think of that last positive ADX cross and why it didn't hold up? LOL As long as someone says a little something to the guy about all his planned sales (criminy!), they'll have my main comment covered.
You going?
jonesie
SC, floor sounds good.
Anybody see that Focus Features flick, Door in the Floor?
Somebody make sure the door is locked LOL.
Hey, didn't someone say one time that Cornell's position in here gave something of a floor at .20? Is that still the case, or has all that selling been done already?
Oh well, here we are at .20 again AND the natives (including me) are getting restless. Is .20 enough blood in the streets/pain/fear to be a bottom?
jonesie
LOL craft_work
Another beautiful day in Atlanta!!!!
Another hohum day for NEOM stock!!!!

OT: icgreen, LOL, and the original QUESTION was ...
... why not?
As opposed to a question like "do you want to know how it works?"
Pffffft. ;)
jonesie
Yes bob1948, as icgreen22 said ...
... it makes it easier to follow a message thread that your post is part of ...
AND ... it also tells me, being a paying IHUB subscriber, that someone has replied to a message of mine.
That will get you a quicker reply so you don't have to say things like "COULDN'T GET A REPLY FROM JONESIEATL" if I don't happen to be reading this particular board at the time.
LOL
jonesie
bob1948, see?
Hard for me to tell, no, impossible for me to tell what post of mine you might be replying to.
See how my post to you shows the post of yours I am replying to?
Yes, NEOM is in the red. What post of mine are you replying to?
Try hitting the "reply" button when you reply to someone's post.
Just a suggestion.
