A friend of mine was listening to talk radio guy Lars Larson the other day and Lars thinks the small oil & gas companies are going to do very well.

Water is now receding in SE Ks. Over 1/4 of people in the Coffeeville area were under water but are now able to move around a little bit.
Could leases/holdings in other areas give Hemi an advantage over other O&G companies?
Seems to me that while things are tough in Ks. right now Hemi could start another project away from the flooding. Their acquisitions in different areas now looms as an advantage as they don't have to stay huddled up in Ks. while it drys up there.
It would be interesting to see them active in ND as I am only a one day drive from there.
Of course, if Wilshire comes through then it's a whole new ball game. Right!
Happy 4th all.
A little something about spamming I found interesting:
"If you are naive enough to believe that spamming cannot effect a stock price, then you are simply uninformed. The first form of "spamming" started pre-WWII as Joe Kennedy manipulated stocks directly contributing to the formation of the SEC.
With the advent of the Internet, pumpers have the perfect tool for pumping their stocks using e-mail campaigns. While their stock recommendations start to rise daily, it appears the climb will continue on an upward trend. "Insider" knowledge starts to look prophetic as do claims of "guaranteed profits". Unfortunately, the stock has already risen substantially.
How long will this stock continue to make 10% gains daily? Greed? Spammers use it to manipulate investors. Quoting Warren Buffett, "The first rule of investing is to not LOSE money. The second rule is to not forget the first rule".
Can you hide your order from L2, and if so, is there any advantage to doing that?
TIA
Yeah, I tried to add shares of Hemi today and they are back to restricted status.
If I thought this would happen after TDA lifted the restriction I would have transferred $$$ or opened a new account somewhere else
so I could trade freely when and where I want. I'm p*ssed.
TDA has had more than one glitch since I have been using them.
P.S. TDA claims they have my certs.
OT: BTW, Imcat. ETrow is my brother-in-law and was only kidding when he took a poke at me in an earlier post here.
Not to worry, he's OK. That post was only his 3rd post ever.
He meant no harm.
TY
I doubled my position today. I actually like the squeeze possibility as well as the company activity.
"Also, 'noise' is more common that 'melody'."
Boy, have I learned that since I've been here at iHUB. But it all goes into my understanding of a larger picture and even the noise can sometimes be informative in it's own way.
Lots of variables to this game so I just try to keep adding to my knowledge base, and with my memory, I usually go back once or twice to the same item. lol ie: gaps (I'll probably go back many times to gaps and what different gaps do to a pps.
TIA
I like that response lowman. What I'm trying to do is get at least a general understanding of some of the other expects of trading/investing to help with entry/exit points and gaps are just one of many actions that take place with a stocks price.
TIA
TY Toofuzzy.
What does it mean to "fill a gap"?
Does this literally mean the pps will drop to where the gap occurred before continuing on it's trend before the gap happened?
OT: penniani, the "Money 101" board can also be helpful. I've asked many questions there since I joined up last year.
GLTY
TY $cott, I thought it seemed a little odd. ;)
Thanx for the post pennyfears. ;)
That happened to me prior to today and I called my broker and they also showed my bid was hirer than the display bid so they called their people and got my trade through.

TY sumisu. ;)
BTW, do you know what the PE is for AUY?
I'm having trouble finding it.
TIA
I found this on investopedia:
Memorandum of Understanding - MOU
What does it Mean? A legal document outlining the terms and details of an agreement between parties, including each parties requirements and responsibilities.
Investopedia Says... The MOU is often the first stage in the formation of a formal contract. An MOU is far more formal then a handshake and is given weight in a court of law should one party fail to meet the obligations of the memorandum.
I think this was already posted but here it is again.
I wouldn't know. Just a thought on my part. It does seem a little silly to me also, but everybody has there plan I guess. ;)
Seems like some folks like to sell on the news. I'm guessing it will be short lived. But what do I know. lol
Don't know if this was already posted, but here goes:

I'll see what I can do.
What does a MOU (memorandum of understanding) mean to a business ?
Is it kind of like a hand shake or is it stronger than that?
TIA
Looking at the share structure. You mentioned the float might be a typo? Note: The float is the same as the last six digits of the o/s.
Has anyone figured out if this float is correct or a typo?

Float: 147,976 as of 2007-03-31 (this may be a typo... but it's what was listed on PinkSheets.com)
Number of Shareholders: 178 as of 2007-03-31
TIA
P.S. I called IR but she never called me back.
Any reason we are seeing this dip or is it just good ole profit taken?
I'm new at this board, so thanx for your patience.
Unable to know the clients behind the Wilshire Group as this is confidential.
BTW, there are no clients as yet. They must get the info they need from Hemi then they will shop for accredited retail financial backers, whether it be individuals or brand name investors.
Wilshire likes the Kansas play very much. One reason is that it hasn't been covered in oil activity like some other states that look like an eye sore now. (Or at least the area that Wilshire is interested in)
That last sentence is in keeping with Keith's desire to not p*ss off land owners with unsightly operations.
I'll think that over lowman.
I'm not exactly sure where to start but I will consider doing that.
TIA
TY Jag
Your welcome mm2b.
I called Jesup-Lamont and the man their said Wilshire Capital Group in Dallas, Tx. is affiliated with Jesup-lamont.
Said their official name is "Wilshire Capital Group an Affiliate of Jesup-Lamont."
The man also said Michael Bezdek is for real and the office in Dallas at Cadiz St. is legit.
He also said that Michael Bezdek's office has only been around for a few months.
I see .23 x .235 on Scottrade
Yo righty, good luck with your new board.
That's part of the story, from what I understand.
OK, have a good weekend. :)
OT: I've been told that RML.com is a good, discount trading platform.
I just got their info in the mail and am considering using them.
Between $3 and $4 a trade. They told me they are geared for traders but they are investor friendly too.
GLTA
I understand if this OT gets deleted. No problem.
On the moon.
