OT: Thanks for all the kind words I received from many, many people last week regarding my cat Snow. It was a sad day Saturday, and since the house was too quite for 4 long days afterwards, my wife and I decided to adopt two kittens from two seperate rescues yesterday. Not disrespecting Snow, our house has too much love to be without a feline friend. So say hi to Rocco (a 13 week old siamese snowshoe male ) and Chleo (a 8 week old domestic blue and white female). We're getting two to keep each other company. I pick them up later today.

I don't know where you live, but even though Seattle is in the top 5 for unemployment in the Unites States, real estate outside the main city is very strong (between the $200K-$300K range). Yes, the waterfront properties and trendy downtown spots have already been clipped 20-25%. You see another 20% for the entire market now?

Snow. He's already had two prior operations - cancer on one ear, and cancer on his nose. It happens a lot with all white cats. He was an outdoor cat until the last 5 years. Spent a lot of time in the sun. The cancer on his nose came back and there is nothing we can do at this point. Real heartbreaker, as this cat was one that wanted to be by our side all waking hours..

Putting our cat of 13 years down tommorow. Gonna be a real sad weekend for me...but we knew this was coming.
