Unexpected, but a very smart move considering the new CEO's experience in growing businesses. To go from $1,000 per month in revenues to $10 million per month in three years is nothing to sneeze at. I spoke to him a few months ago and had the impression he was very enthusiastic about working with the team that was already in place. I wonder if he had any idea that the change of his role with the company would take place so soon.
More news to come out shortly, I am sure.
Glad to be of service to all of you Aquagolders. When the next PR hits the wires, I hope we will attract some new participants to this board (Aquagold watering hole).
I just returned from 7 Dey Street, Room 1503. Yes, it is a law firm, and they handle all of the contracts and legal filings for Aquagold International, to make sure they are in compliance and that the agreements they sign are in their best interest.
I was told that the Board of Directors meeting in Shanghai is probably over and that we should see a press release today or tomorrow which should answer all of our questions.
Personally, I hope to see a PR by Friday, but, as far as I'm concerned, there are no absolute guarantees.
I'm gonna walk over to 7 Dey Street. I'll be back with some info later on.
Mahi -- Take it easy. Dovgan probably got ahead of himself. The equipment was ordered, delivery was arranged, the electrical connection was set up to handle the equipment, the funds were promised, but somehow or other, much to Dovgan's chagrin, it all fell apart, probably right after he announced it was all coming together. Dovgan must have been very disappointed and just didn't want to make a public spectacle of himself for having jumped the gun. So no PR.
Of course, we all agree the Company owes us an explanation, and I think that was the purpose of Slava's recent letter to DOS. Our consolation is that Krong is owned by Aurus and that the assets of Krong are real.
We should have more information soon, but you have to have patience if you're going to put money into a start-up mining company. The payoff can take up to five years or even more, especially after the world economy tanks the way it did.
Stay positive. This is about to explode!
Please do the research and post your findings. TIA
Forget about DaSilva. There's a new team running this company.
Let's try to stay focused on the positive things the new team has accomplished and has planned for the coming months. The PR's will come out as these new developments unfold. I'm sure they want to have something substantial to put in their next PR, not something trivial like, "the first container has arrived." Give them a chance to close a deal or two in China, get those bottles into stores, hotels and restaurants, get back to their offices in Canada, rest for a day or two, and then release the news. I'm sure they don't like being rushed by the likes of us.
I visited 7 Dey Street after hours yesterday. It's an old office building located a stone's throw from the World Trade Center construction site. I'll see if I can get access to the 15th floor tomorrow.
No AQUI trades yet in the first two hours.
When I tried to call Joe Matuella, our PR guy, I got his voicemail and there was no room to leave a message, so I sent him an email. He replied pretty quickly but said he could not divulge any information about the Company. He said only that it is safe to assume there will be more PR's. However, he would not state the time frame for the next one.
The last time I checked out the office building of a pinksheet company, it was to find the office of GBDX (Global Diamond Exchange) on 46th Street in Manhattan about two and a half years ago. The outcome was not very pleasant, and so I no longer go out of my way to stick my nose in a place where it could possibly get cut off. Not that I have any worries about AQUI. I'm just not that driven to visit 7 Dey Street without a little coaxing.
The AQUI website (under contacts) lists an office at 7 Dey Street, New York City which is a ten minute walk from where I work. If anyone is curious to know what goes on there, I will visit the location upon request.
Might be waiting all week for the next PR, but it will
be a winner. IMO
grantg2 -- If you're that patient, you might as well wait five years for dollarland.
Who said anything about two years from now? I was talking about one week from now.
I hope you're right! There are still a lot of skeptics out there, so it may take a while to make the big jump.
First thing we want to hear is that the initial shipment has cleared customs and the product is being sold commercially. If everything goes smoothly and the next four containers are shipped, and if the results of the Board meeting in Shanghai are announced in the next PR, who can really say where the pps will wind up? What we want to see is the next support level, and I hope it is at least .02, and hopefully higher.
Skeena -- What do you mean, .02 is not even a possibility?
Let's go out this weekend and celebrate the birth of a nation - July 4th, 1776 - and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Knowing the assets of Aurus/Krong are intact and that there are signs that the world economy is beginning to turn around, and based on the news that restrictions on funding from foreign sources are being lifted by the Russian government, we AURC shareholders may have something else to celebrate somewhere down the road.
I think this will be one of the big stories to be covered in the second half of 2009. Just consider that so far, only 45,200 units have been shipped. We will surely ship a total of 1M bottles by the end of December, maybe 2M. So, we are still just a few pages into chapter one of this story, and already on the rise.
We had to get this breakout sooner or later. What we want to see within a week is a new support level. The days of trading in the .0065-.007 range are hopefully over and gone forever.
Been here a long time and not ready to give up, knowing the Company is not a scam, just illiquid. The assets are real, and Krong is owned by Aurus. It's just a matter of time before the funding becomes available or a big player makes a buyout offer they can't refuse.
I have corresponded with J. Helmer before. Today I sent him an email to see if he might know of specific companies, Russian or otherwise, that might be interested in funding the mining operations at Krong.
I think I will send an email to John Helmer to ask him that very question, griz.
That's right. Huge news coming over the next week or two:
first shipment will arrive in Shanghai, clear customs and be delivered to retail outlets, remaining four containers from the first order to be filled by St. Leger, loaded and shipped to China, results of Board of Directors meeting in Shanghai. Taken together, should do wonders for our share price.
Hopefully, the BOD will soon be able to hammer out the details and announce its successful renegotiation of a major distribution contract with the Chinese. From that point forward there will be no looking back.
My impression has always been that they want to build the business themselves, as a lifetime dedication. They told me they have plans to enter other countries after China, and to add another product line to their pure spring water. Through the contact I have had with the people who were added to the management team, it sounded to me like they are interested in long-term involvement with the Company.
Personally, I don't think Aquagold becomes a target until they are well established with sizeable and increasing annual profits over a five year period. I guess you could call that speculation as well.
Skeena -- Do you have some inside information to substantiate your suggestions 1 and 2, or is it just speculation? I have never gotten the impression that either option is being considered by the Company. Can you give us a time frame for 1 and 2?
Sure does take time to build a Company. Aquagold has already made tremendous strides toward getting its first product to market. They are already working on a second product to add to their aresenal.
We still have a long way to go to become a Fortune 500 company (LOL), but this message board should be supportive of the Aquagold management team as long as they keep us informed of the progress they are making through each stage of development.
Looks like the team of D. Sauve, Marco Hassoun and York Tang will assemble in Shanghai to take the first order through customs, accompanied by Aquagold well-wisher, Paul Taillefer. They will be on the scene to make sure everything goes smoothly, without a hitch. I must say, these guys are determined to make this a success.
Sounds like Aurus is cash poor, with only its tailings to offer as collateral. The Company's problem is liquidity. I believe Mr. Dovgan has exhausted whatever means he has of finding funding locally. Maybe it's time for shareholders like ourselves to step in and help solve the problem.
To get the show on the road would probably require an investment or loan of $1M for the purchase of equipment and other short-term operating expenses. That may be a vast understatement. They might require ten times that much.
Maybe we could find out from Slava if the Company would be willing to work with a shareholders committee for the purpose of finding funding or a possible buyer for Aurus.
This email from Slava was probably meant to unofficially serve as a PR to let shareholders know that the Company and its assets are intact. However, due to the state of the economy, they do not expect to get funding for the purchase of the equipment required to begin the extraction of precious metals at the Krong site in the near future.
The Russian economy was hit very hard by the worldwide economic downturn, especially due to the drop in oil prices.
I understand their stock market was suspended on more than one occasion in the past year.
So Krong is on idle for now, and although that is not the best of news, at least we know more or less their current state of affairs. Some here will just wait it out until conditions change and the true value of the Krong assets can be realized. Others may not wait around and may leave and come back later, or not at all.
The demand for iron will increase as construction and the rebuilding of infrastructure rebounds, while gold and other precious metals retain their value. Even if Aurus doesn't get production going at the Krong site any time soon, it may become a buyout target before that happens. The question is at what point and at what price the Board of Directors will agree to sell.
Getting ready for another spike (to .02, maybe) when we receive news that the retail sale of Aquagold spring water in China has begun.
This is a great time to accumulate AQUI shares. We have a solid base formed here with more news coming over the next month or two -- the first shipment clearing Chinese customs, the second shipment expedited, early sales reports of the first shipment and the reaction of consumers, progress in choosing Miss Aquagold China, the new bottle on display, and maybe news of a renegotiated distribution contract.
Today we saw nearly 4 million shares traded. We will soon see this kind of volume daily, especially after it is announced that the first order of Aquagold Canadian spring water has reached the Chinese consumer.
This Aquagold Face of 2009 competition is newsworthy, not just in China but over here as well. Since the 2008 Olympics there has been more world media interest in China than ever before. I hope Aquagold International eventually takes advantage of U.S. media outlets to publicize the competition as that will help create investor interest in this part of the world and boost our market value, as well.
The first container was shipped at the beginning of June and will reach Shanghai by early July. If all goes well, the next four containers should be shipped by mid-July and arrive in time for the crowning of Miss Aquagold Face of 2009.
We can expect a number of important PR's between now and mid-August. I expect to see multiples of the present share price by then, especially if the renegotiated contract from 2008 is announced.
Kudos to the team of D. Sauve, York Tang and M.O. Hassoun for sticking with the concept of building a Canadian spring water company and for finally getting the product to market.
With the blackout that began in 2008, I think many of us thought York Tang was no longer as closely associated with Aquagold, but now we see he is still there, front and center.
A very good sign, indeed!
Nice clip about the competition for Miss Aquagold Face of 2009. I especially noticed the Aquagold logo and artwork in the background. I like this campaign to make Aqaugold a household word in China.
That was a smart move, to send a single container first to make sure there would be no hang-ups as the product clears through customs at Shanghai. This PR should give us some forward momentum as Aquagold begins to achieve its business development goals. Phase II is now underway!
Alert -- If you have uncovered information that will help others decide whether or not to invest in AQUI, please share it with us. As long as it is legitimate and verifiable, why would anyone accuse you of pumping the stock?
I'll be very happy when the Company announces that its first commercial shipment has cleared Chinese customs and is being distributed to hundreds (if not thousands) of retail outlets.
I offered to help judge the Miss Face of Aquagold 2009 Contest and D. Sauve asked me to send a picture of myself to see if I would fit in.
Actually, I would much rather see the PR announcing that last year's contract has been successfully renegotiated than be in the midst of all of those pretty young ladies promoting Aquagold spring water. If both can be arranged, though, I would be one happy AQUI shareholder.
So far 3.6 million shares traded today -- $25,000 in transactions. We should have volume many times that when the renegotiated contract is announced.
BTW, first shipment should be about half-way to China by now.
