Patsy, have you seen ATOM?
I just ran across it. The float is as low as our friend, ELSO (300K) and trades for just six cents. Wouldn't take much to move it and it's trading near it's low. Here's the website: http://www.incahoots-stl.com/
and the float info: http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/atom.html

NTL in talks with Liberty Media's Malone-paper
LONDON, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Liberty Media (NYSE:LMCA - news) (NYSE:L - news) has held
secret talks with heavily indebted British cable company NTL (NYSE:NLI - news) about
taking a stake in the firm, the Independent on Sunday newspaper reported.
The paper, citing City sources, said U.S. media mogul
John Malone, Liberty's chairman, had held talks with NTL's CEO Barclay Knapp to
thrash out a deal which could possibly allow Liberty to acquire between 25 and 51
percent of NTL.
No one from NTL was immediately available for comment.
Liberty already owns a 25 percent stake in NTL's rival TeleWest Communications
(quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: TWT.L), which analysts have speculated is likely to
merge with NTL.
Malone is attempting to build Liberty Media into a European cable giant. If he took a
large stake in NTL this would put him in a strong position to have a major role in the British cable network, the paper said.
In January NTL appointed advisers to help it overhaul a $17 billion debt pile that is threatening to crush the company.
The paper said that the idea was for Malone to come into NTL at the same time as lenders agree to swap debt for equity.
Rick, about VCTH:
It may be that VCTH was up to 350, but I think that the 350 number came about as a result of the R/S. See IFTA as a comparison. I don't remember it ever getting up to 37 dollars! http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ifta.ob&d=t
(or MTNA ever trading for over three thousand -lol!) http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=mtna.ob&d=t

Let's see if there is an accompanying PR to give it an extra boost....Gonna research some of the picks that I've seen here tonight. Some of these stock symbols are new to me.
*Actually the business trip is not mine, it's the new Mrs. Low who has business there. I'll be fishing and enjoying the Gulf Breeze, etc....

I think that PHOX may run this week.
It has acquisition/spinoff news and ran at the end on Friday before profit-taking -- but only on a volume of 2 million shares. A follow-up PR should detail the terms or plans for the spinoff, including the date of record.
CHART:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PHOX.OB&d=c&k=c4&t=5d
PHOX isn't an unknown, but in my estimation there is excellent upside potential. Here's the news:
Photonics Corporation Announces Acquisition, Expected Spin-Offs
SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Photonics Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: PHOX - news) has acquired an equity interest in Treasure Financial Corp., a Dallas-based NASD registered broker/dealer.
``Treasure Financial Corp. has shown a certain resiliency in a down market and management has developed an aggressive growth plan to acquire boutique broker/dealers in their area,'' said Mark Lindberg, President of Photonics. ``And through this aggressive growth, we believe they can expand their current assets under management substantially.''
Photonics Corporation plans to file to spin-off both Treasure Financial Corp. and REpipeline.com, Inc. in the first quarter in an effort to take both companies public.
This press release contains certain forward-looking statements within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, which are intended to be covered by the safe harbors created thereby. Investors are cautioned that all forward-looking statements involve risks and uncertainties. Although Photonics Corp. believes that the assumptions underlying the forward-looking statements contained herein are reasonable, any of the assumptions could be inaccurate, and therefore, there can be no assurance that the forward-looking statements included in this press release will prove to be accurate. Market's improving!
I've had some good winners this week - INPM (in at .05), TRPH (in at 2.15), and IRAC (in at .0011) The volume is coming back and stocks move on news again! (knock on wood).
I just bought a little ADSX on anticipation of their merger (.46)
Check out TRPH - 4 PRs this morning!
2.10/2.25 in premarket.
TRPH just released 4 PRs!
NASDAQ stock should move well today, IMO
Trading at about 2.10/2.25 in pre-market
Take a look at INPM - acquisition news.
INPM was a NASDAQ stock - sent to the OTCBB. Not much mention on the boards yet (good thing, IMO) Take a look-see.
I picked up some INPM today on acquisition news.
BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 2002-- Inprimis, Inc. (OTCBB:INPM - news)
and Ener1 Holdings, Inc. announced today that they have completed a Securities Purchase
Agreement and Ener1 has acquired a controlling interest in Inprimis.
Still holding tight to my ECNC - Bought a bunch on a dip. Good volume!
Things are picking up!!
I like the looks of it!
I'll check it out some more...low
Two steps forward
and one step back seems to be the pattern for many of my stocks during the last couple of weeks. AX has taken off. So has CMGI. INKT has inched up and GX may run again. COMM has been good to me and I picked up CALD a couple of days ago. Now that it's getting attention, it should take off as well, IMO. I did several hours of research yesterday/last night and I think that I may have found a couple of winners. I'll post here after I've looked at them again,,,,,,low
Yes you did, Plato.
You called 'em. I'm enjoying AX this week. It took awhile, but it came around...I hopped on CMGI and bought more INKT, which moves well on the rate cuts. I'm searching the beaten-down types and looking for news. The Nasdaq and NYSE are the bomb! What's looking good now, Plato?
For those of you who don't know about UPRC
It is the same company formerly known as UPCA.
If you need more info about UPRC/UPCA you can contact me privately or at my email address, which is:
lowroller1@hotmail.com
In at .09 - COMM
Following the pattern of beaten down tech stocks....Check it out!
Don't forget AX ....
I got in at .55 - It's hovering around .90 now. It should move proportionally to GX - Both very good plays, IMO
I'm playing it the other way -
Which may be a mistake, but I bought a stake in AX. I'm gonna hold that one for a nice long while to see where it goes....In at .55
There's some great possibilities now...
...And now's a great time to do some background research and keep an eye on the news. I'm not limiting myself to non-OTCBB stocks, but my focus is on the NASDAQ and the other big boards.
Did you all check out what happened to GX today? It's at .38???
Back to research......low
Did anyone else see DNAP today?
It showed about 50% movement.
This coming week may be good...
....for the tech sector. IMO the tax cut will restore consumer confidence and get the economic ball rolling again. It will all trickle down to the pennies/otcbb but I have my money in NASDAQ right now. As I posted here before, I'm in good shape with INKT and
looking for CALD to rebound this week.(presently about 2) ENT
(NYSE) is a good steady one and I'm holding tight to it. The reason that I've not been posting much is that my pennies haven't shown much movement. It's a good time to buy, if you get some of these subpennies at half a cent or so... Not much downward risk; I may get one of those this coming week.
I'm spending the afternoon in research. It's that time of year!
Have a fun holiday weekend, everyone!
Acquisition News!
This may be really big for both companies, which are under 3 bucks. Caldera (CALD) has aquired the software divisions of
SCOC (Soon to be TTLA) in a cash and stock deal. Check it out.
What a great day!!
I decided to go ahead and get into CMGI. My Inktomi (INKT) is tearing it up, too! I'm buying all that I can of these tech stocks, seeing a turnaround already begun. The volume is there!
I hope everyone else is getting some :) too!!
I wondered how long it would take....
...before the "freeedgar" services weren't free anymore. I just got a notice in my email:
"
Starting this Thursday, both the FreeEDGAR Watchlist
and RTF Downloading services will be available by
subscription only on our partner site, EDGAR Online.
In order to receive Watchlist email notification of
new filings, and to download documents into Word
processing programs, you must be a Premium subscriber
on EDGAR Online. These features will no longer be
available on FreeEDGAR."
I'm still clinging to my INKT - I bought at 6.00 and 2.99. Also into ENT and may try CMGI today if it dips a mite.....Still holding onto the pennies and doing the research....
A strange thing about IVEH...
...is that they were recently (4/3) placed on the OTCBB site as an "anticipated addition".
http://www.otcbb.com/dailylist/history/bbdl_04032001.stm
I guess that's off, huh?
I had seen the same thing that you saw, bruceski. You'd think that they would have learned by the Flores story (UPCA). I think that he's still in jail. (IMO, he took the rap for the rest of UPCA management)
The only problem, Todd....
is that the board is supposed to be about stock tips. It would quickly degenerate into a board about "nothing in particular" if nobody took any action.
I guess because it's a slow night that I took the time to write the beall.com guys:
"This guy spammed our stock message board. According to your policy, please delete him from your membership.
I love to trade stocks especially penny's but I would like to show you all another opportunity that I find to be very unique and could very well be a great investment especially the part about zip codes! please check it out thanks Todd
go to http://www.3rol.com/zip/rol1028/ I hope this is not spamming to you all "
Good luck to you in your next enterprise. Try some of these low-priced stocks with news!! You can make real bucks here!!
It's working!!
INKT and ENT are both up today - I know, that's subject to change (I'm keeping them for the long haul anyway) SHCC and
AXGI have news again. XCEDD is an interesting stock that I'm playing for the short-term. News with CBS today. It's happening now, IMO.....Back to researching!!
My present strategy:
I'm hitting the markets on four fronts. First, I'm taking advantage of the bigger board stocks hitting their lows. I've taken a position in INKT and today - ENT. Secondly, I'm taking advantage of the market over-reaction on warnings, etc. Third in my strategy is the long-term penny stock (long term meaning.....
until something significant happens!) I'm holding and have added to my position DNAP and have SSCP and several that I'm riding free shares on. My last strategy is short term plays on pennies which have significant news. Recently, I added SHCC (at .004 I thought "what the heck?") I'm spending my time now in research!
I'm looking at "underpriced" stocks with good news - here my timing is critical. I don't chase - I just get in quickly, because I'm aware (through research) of what's going on with them. My new strategy in this market includes posting sparingly about my finds - in this market, it seems to just work out better. I'm not sure why......
As the market changes, so will my strategies! I consider myself just taking what the market will give. I'd like to hear of any other successful strategies which take advantage of these difficult times.
Happy Birthday!
Enjoy the day!!!
I agree completely, smudge!
You find a company that has spectacular news and it continues downward with the rest of the market....There's no figuring it out on a consistent basis --- on the short term, IMO. I have a few long term holds that I feel sure will do fine and I'm gathering cash and doing my research now. I make a play here and there - mostly NASDAQ. I did get INKT today at 6 -- I've always liked them !!
Oh -- one more to consider....
If you're interested in NASDAQ stocks, keep an eye on MCOM. I
made a lot of money on it when it started its first run. It went from 5 1/2 to 109! They have the Roadrunner wireless service and are propped up by Paul Allen. They closed at under 5 on Friday and an analyst (see my past comments on analysts!) is calling a stock target of 60. Deep pocketed partners will keep this one from going south, IMO. Take a look at it, if you like NASDAQ.
