Very well John,
I'm open to suggestions, and I do like like your approach that combines conciseness of verbiage with colorful imagery to deliver the underlying message.
It will take a little time, but I'll start working on it when I get back from travel after a few more days.
A source within the company informs me that they won't be fully moved into the new offices/studio for a few more days yet, as the premises are still undergoing fairly extensive repainting, remodeling, and rewiring prior to their arrival.
Perhaps I'll eventually be able to obtain some interior photos of studio rooms, equipment, or DJ's at work to add to the board. If you or anyone else independently get hold of some suitable candidates let me know and I'll see about adding them.
BTW, word is that everyone is extremely excited about some very recently accelerating new area of progress wherein everything all of a sudden seems to finally be coming together. And this, in combination with the move into their shiny new digs, is being viewed as a new rebirth of sorts for the company.
I realize seeing is believing; the share structure needs work, etc., but that's enough said for now.
Ron
Really John? The Ibox is a pathetic kludge?
Now how shall we clean it up John?
Presumably, your idea of a "clean" ibox is to replace the links and information in there with a few colorful stanzas from the JH Book of Derogatory "Phat PharcePhace" Limericks?
No way! Not gonna happen!
In fact, why do you care about the ibox anyway John?
You will just incessantly deride anything that goes in there anyway. (Oh I forgot - Anything said on this board has no effect whatsoever on SP anyway...)
But while we're at it, the ibox over at SI really needs tending to. It hasn't been updated since Sept of 1999; the verbiage is still discussing the GAAY to QBID voting procedure!
That must really be a burr in your shorts John. After all, you're having to pay over there and you can't even get a decent ibox going. What a ripoff!

"TRIANGLE TELEVISION MOVING UP
Ever since it's inception Triangle Multi-Media and the Triangle Television Network has been moving up and up. Now their third move is literally reaching for the sky, or rather the satellites buzzing around up there. TTN is moving into the former Time Warner facility in Palm Springs which was built in 1995. The building is complete with fiber optic cable, state-of-the-art equipment and a dozen dishes uploading programming to the various domestic satellites.
It's a fabulous opportunity to go on the air with an exciting mix of Programming especially produced for the gay and lesbian community. As This is being written, the new building is being renovated and Master Control re-wired for the extra new digital equipment. The control room for Triangle's flagship, Good Morning Gay America is being equipped with on-line facilities for webcams so that correspondents and viewers calling in to chat can be seen and heard on the early morning show. TTN staff are already moving into the new building and admiring the view of Mount San Jacinto and the Santa Rosa Mountains from their office windows. TTN has again made the right move and everyone is looking forward to producing GLBT shows that subscribers will want to see...
Check here for some pix of Triangle Television's new facility. It's here. It's gay television. It's TTN."
No way John,
This particular board (at IHUB) is a moderated board and every attempt will be made to apply evenhandedness. However, anything that smacks of an attempt to libel someone or some company, any perception that someone is using this IHUB board to further their own legal agenda or forays, anyone attempting to promote vigilantism, or try a legal case in a public forum and the like will not be tolerated on this board!!!
Surely, as each of us are drawn to penny stocks to "make a killing" we invariably must also lower our usual expectations and buy into the bazaar business practices and conduct associated with unique form of high risk investment instrument.
If this was a squeaky clean treasury bill for a 3 percent return or something we would not be having this conversation.
Don't believe me? Care to name a broker that will allow you buy a penny stock without depositing cleared or guaranteed funds up front?
We have been warned! (and up front!)
But where is it written that the world can only support one message board? That's what RB and SI and the free for all over there are for n'est pas?

Of course, this is just one of those automated Associated Press Articles out of NY, picked up and repeated verbatim by the thousands of AP member newspapers across the land. Clearly "The Desert Sun" couldn't even begin to modify such a story even if they wanted to because of copyright problems.
Of course a separate local follow up story would certainly be appropriate now...
The GLBT TV trend is certainly here Skunks.
Looks like another startup, in this case broadcasting to Europe (out of Milan), and scheduled for a debut tomorrow:

On Pride Vision,
Well they're inarguably ahead of QBID, but if you had opted instead for a play on Pride Vision's launch last September by buying into PV's parent company "Headline Media Group, Inc." you wouldn't have faired particularly well either, even with the intense publicity PV is receiving in about six major newspapers in recent days:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=HMG.TO&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=1y&l=on&z=m&q...
Some interesting verbiage from the LA Times Article:
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-000031305may03.story?coll=la%2Dheadlines%2Dbusiness
"Some U.S. residents want their gay TV so badly that they have circumvented federal law by purchasing Canadian satellite receivers and established fake Canadian mailing addresses to sign up for PrideVision, which is owned by Headline Media Group Inc. and counts 18,000 subscribers who pay about $7.50 a month for the channel. Headline Chief Executive John Levy said the channel needs 245,000 subscribers to break even.
That's a tiny audience by traditional broadcast standards. But in the new world of digital cable and satellite service, it's possible for networks to be profitable with a small audience. PrideVision has guaranteed distribution on Canadian cable and satellite systems. It's negotiating with U.S. operators, but has yet to secure a deal."
And from the CNN story:
http://www.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/02/gay.tv.ap/index.html
"There's also interest in having somebody new step forward to provide a service like this to counterbalance the power that exists in a company like Viacom," Levy responded. "I think it works for you and against you when you're talking about a big media company.
Pridevision also broadcasts "Queer as Folk" and some MTV programming in Canada. Presumably, for competitive reasons, an American version of the network couldn't. The movies it licenses may also be limited.
Pridevision hopes to get on the air this fall. Viacom offers no timetable. Neither network has announced an agreement by a cable or satellite provider to carry their service."
Of course Viacom/Showtime are waiting in the wings too, but not with 24/7 programming, at least not initially:
"While they wait, Showtime's Wednesday programming block will soon be on the air. Stephanie Gibbons, Showtime's senior vice president for advertising and promotion, insisted this wasn't an effort to test the market.
In addition to "Queer as Folk," Showtime will air the animated series "Queer Duck" and bring in new talent for comedy sketches."
Ron
Can't disagree with you Ferrg!
If we could capture the "Nationwideness" of a WsNet debut, it sure would be difficult for anyone to challenge the legitimacy of a headline such as "Little Known Palm Springs Upstart TTN Trumps Viacom/Showtime to the 24/7 GLBT Airways!"

"LITTLE BOARD GROWS UP. NASD is about to kill the OTCBB. Get ready for T3.
SEC Reading Room reveals 'Enhanced Bulletin Board' is coming.
http://www.sec.gov/news/headlines/adv-marchround.htm
The much-maligned OTCBB has grown from a daily volume of 29m shares with $100m market volume since its introduction in 1990 to more than 400m shares and $400m market volume today. OTCBB data is now fed into more than 450,000 Level I terminals. Since 1993, all trades have been reported in real-time, and since January, 1999, every company trading on the OTCBB must be a reporting entity. On Feb. 8, 2001, the SEC approved a proposal prohibiting member firms from trading ahead of customer limit orders.
Today, some 3,800 companies are traded by nearly 300 marketmakers, quoting an average of 39,000 positions daily. All MMs subscribing to Nasdaq Level 3 service and in compliance with SEC Rule 15c2-11 are eligible to "voluntarily" participate in the OTCBB and may enter or exit at will. With 26m small businesses in the U.S., the number of companies choosing the liquidity of public equities is still miniscule.
A further breakdown shows 475 banks, 28 insurance companies and 3,265 companies trading, although 25% of the OTC companies have financial SIC codes. The largest company on the OTCBB was Publix Super Markets with a $9b market cap and $15b in revenues. Heroes, Inc., as of November, 2001, was the smallest, with a $302k market cap and revenues of $6.5m. Some 2,000 OTCBB companies have an average market cap of $1m or less. Some 42% of all trades are made in the top 100 OTCBB securities. The top 500 total 74% and the top 1,000 have 88% of the total. Likewise, 10 MMs handle 83.2% of the total trades.
In 1998, Investrend participated in and helped organize a "Bulletin Board" roundtable for the SEC Corporate Finance and Market Regulation staff and NASD, NASDR and the Nasdaq officers and capital market practitioners. Since that time, many of those participants have continued to work in an Advisory Committee to develop better practices. A meeting is scheduled this Friday in Austin, Texas.
Documents on file in the SEC Reading Room reveal that this committee has been quite busy. If all goes as planned, in January, 2003, a new "third-tier" -- or T3 -- issuer market operated by the NASD will begin, and by December, 2003, the OTCBB as we know it will be history. At that time, Nasdaq believes 2,000 qualifying OTCBB companies will be left, and the remainder will be relegated to the Pink Sheets.
As part of the transformation, qualifying small issuers will need to meet defined listing standards and pay listing fees. Minimal governance standards will require that companies must have at least 100 shareholders who own at least 100 shares each, and 200,000 shares in the public float. Also, the auditor must be subject to peer review, the company will need to issue an annual report, there will have to be an annual shareholder meeting with proxies and a quorum of at least 1/3rd of the shareholders present in person or by proxy.
Listed companies will need at least one independent director and there must be an independent audit committee with a majority of independent directors. Certain transactions will require shareholder approval, and rules will be in effect to prohibit voting restrictions.
Because Nasdaq has applied to the SEC to become an "exchange," some of the committee's ideas have already been vetted at the SEC and set aside as not acceptable. The major rejections had to do with trading on margin -- which will become a thing of the past in all Nasdaq markets if and when it becomes an exchange -- and the SEC is adamantly opposed to the elimination of the penny stock rules for the proposed T3 Exchange.
Although Nasdaq requires three independent directors on boards of its listed companies, due to the high cost of maintaining D&O insurance, T3 companies will be required to have only one independent director. Shareholder approval will be required for granting stock options to officers or directors, the issuance of large, below-market blocs of stock, and changes of control."
Interesting Lyngsat Headline that just came out yesterday(3/9/02). (See GayTV.)

"Hotbird 3" is at 13 degrees East Longitude (over Europe), and the company appears to be a startup out of Milano, Italy.
http://www.sat-address.com/gk/Gay-tv.shtml
(Actually, Hotbird 3 Programming is pretty interesting in it's own right with its international programming; and there's even a TTN already there too LOL!: See "TTN - Tamil TV Network.")
GayTV also appears about to begin broadcasting on "Eurobird" which is at 28.5 degress East Longitude.
In any case, my interpretation is that this is merely a television BB. You type in a gay-oriented email message and everybody gets to read it on a TV Channel in Europe.
Anyone see something different, or come away with a more far reaching interpretation of this?

Pretty interesting about Wsnet.tv Muell,
In a parallel vein, I thought this story, dug up by Ferrgus, about how Internet Broadband has for the first time now taken over center stage from Narrowband, bodes very well for the MeTV side of the coin as well! - Ron
http://www.emonline.com/news/web030502.html#broadband
"Broadband milestone: For the first time, more Web surfers have accessed the Net via broadband than by narrowband. That benchmark in the future of media and the evolution of the Internet was passed in January 2002, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
Broadband, one of the technological pillars upon which the cable industry has staked its future, and the key to media convergence, has also passed the critical 50-percent mass, with broadband surfers tallying 1.19 billion hours, accounting for 51 percent of the 2.3 billion hours spent online during the month of January. Broadband usage in January was up 64 percent on a year-over-year basis, while time spent online by narrowband surfers decreased three percent from 1.18 billion hours to 1.14 billion.
Nearly 21.9 million at-home surfers accessed the Internet via broadband connection in January, up 67 percent and accounting for 21 percent of the total online at-home population. During the same period, the at-work broadband population rose 42 percent, to 25.5 million office workers, compared to 18 million the year before, reaching 63 percent of the Internet office population.
"Broadband usage has hit mainstream," said Jarvis Mak, senior Internet media analyst for Nielsen//NetRatings."

QBID: MSNBC Picks up Business Wire Story
(From another board)
http://famulus.msnbc.com/famuluscom/businesswire01-23-100550.asp?sym=QBID
------------------
During the next two weeks, the Triangle Television Network, http://www.qbid.net/ a Premium Channel, will be making presentations of its extensive library of gay and lesbian family programming to Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Adelphia Communications, Comcast and Charter Communications. TTN President Frank Olsen explained that the Company "seeks to make its gay and lesbian programming available through the largest cable carriers and satellite companies immediately. Our goal is to fast track TTN's gay and lesbian family programming which has been well received by the market place and has experienced strong demand for wider accessibility since its preview of Sept. 7th."
TTN has further enhanced the Company's distribution economics and program quality by installing new direct fiber optic lines which link the Company's programing to its satellite provider. The new fiber optic lines have reduced expenses from $110,000 per month to $16,000 thus allowing TTN to greatly increase the market for its network programing.
Triangle Television Network's program line up includes gay and lesbian movies, original programming, sporting events, regional programming, Series and news and information related to the gay community. TTN's original programming such as Good Morning Gay America, Gay Court, Gay Bandstand and Female Husbands have rapidly grown in popularity. This growth in popularity has substantially increased consumer demand for greater coverage through existing television and media providers.
Triangle Television Network is aggressively negotiating additional new placements of its network with cable/satellite companies and media providers. One of TTN's challenges is to respond to the strong consumer demand to place its network with established media providers. Independent consumer surveys demonstrate that the affluent and valuable market for gay and lesbian programming is widely under served. Present negotiations by TTN seek to convince providers to begin broadcasting the Company's network to this valuable market.
Recently, Fortune 500 media companies Viacom, Showtime and MTV announced they have recognized the value of the gay and lesbian market. TTN is very pleased with these recent announcements which affirm the Company's business goals.

A letter to the editor of the NY Times.
http://www.nytimes.com/2002/01/17/opinion/L17GAYY.html
Possibly John. But another way of reading between the lines reveals that these "heavyweights" are themselves only in the rudimentary exploratory stages of development:
("The two companies are currently examining the potential and exploring distribution models and prospects, as well as programming elements...")
and
"But a number of cable-industry insiders, including several former MSO officials, said Viacom’s hurdles include finding a viable financial model for the network..."
And now being flush with success from their admittedly huge, but only foray, into "Queer as Folk," Showtime no doubt now feels they can do anything.
Yet you know how big networks can't seem to avoid throwing gargantuan sums into their projects, in part due to their massive overheads and all.
To further set the flavor ... and I'm not saying this is the best example ... I do remember reading that the Cast of "Friends" demanded, and got, a new contract for $750,000 per person per episode not very long ago. And that's just for actors!
You may also remember that the Seinfeld troops ended up with $1 million apiece per episode near the end of their run.
So who knows how much "Showtime" had to spend developing and producing QAF? (or will have to spend eventually.) Probably not as much as above. Nevertheless, now imagine extrapolating these kinds of costs into 24/7 broadcasting. (Showtime's Mark Greenberg has already said: "If we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it right," he added.)
Anyway, it's not too difficult to make a case that it sure is easy for these heavyweights to start throwing around $5 and $6 kinds of numbers right now; but I bet that could change real fast once they start getting into realities.
Ron
If you've looked around you know that there have been follow-up articles to the TV Guide / NY Times articles that are appearing literally everywhere.

Other interesting phrases in:

"Skeptics predicted an uphill battle, citing a lack of existing gay programming and the difficulties in launching any new network, especially a new 'mini-pay' network."
"But a number of cable-industry insiders, including several former MSO officials, said Viacom’s hurdles include finding a viable financial model for the network, securing enough compelling gay-oriented programming and convincing distributors to carry it."
What's this, not a "slam-dunk" for giant Viacom?
Beginning of being mentioned?

Every modest sized and above library (including university library) in the country ought to have the Wednesday issue of the Denver Post starting tomorrow I would guess.

QBID: There is evidence that MultiChannelNews is "The" Industry News Clearinghouse for "all-things-broadcast" JC:
http://www.tvinsite.com/multichannelnews/index.asp?layout=webzine
After perusing MCN's site a bit, including their current news stories, you quickly gain confirmation and renewed appreciation for the immensity and varied aspects of the broadcast industry as well as for the scope and pertinent role of MCN as a significant magnet that the industry turns to for news and information about broadcast related developments.
Part of the feeling about MCN's hand being on the pulse of the broadcast industry comes from also checking out MCN's "Industry Links" Page. (There's almost 1000 broadcast related links there including every "major" that matters.)
http://www.tvinsite.com/multichannelnews/index.asp?layout=info_page&page=industry_links_first
Now we have yet to get confirmation of MCN actually carrying TTN's ad of course but, if true, it follows from the above that running the ad in MCN has very little to do with gaining viewership, but rather has almost exclusively to do with trying to impress, and garner attention from, broadcasters, cable and DBS providers, and the rest of the broadcast industry.
Now the significance of an MCN ad can be easily downplayed after only a cursory look.
Another view, per the above, is that running a TTN ad in MCN may make not only a whole lot of sense, but may be a lot bigger deal and much more of a logical and important step than we may first have imagined along the "chicken or egg" path to trying to become a substantial company.

That's a very pertinent independent confirmation Ferrg - Thanks for taking the trouble to make the call and the post.
Hopefully, one of these other individuals is one of the regular Lyngsat contributors so that, with the next update, perhaps his/her name might replace "Anonymous" over in the rightmost column of the Telstar 7 Page.

Agreed Kaad. Plus there's the the continual stream of evidence to remind us that the potentially humongous underserved customer base for QBID is still the single most compelling constant in all of this.
