.068,bid .072ask, you didn't get any at .07?
bid .065, ask.07
coming a little unglued here, aren't we?
i rarely post anything negative about any poster, but this time, i have to. are you saying you filed a complaint to the s.e.c about this company, but still own this stock? was your logic impaired by any narcotics? talk about a guy who wants to blow his own foot off. where is the logic in filing a complaint with the s.e.c. and still holding the same stock? i doubt that they are going to spend any time on your complaint, but for heavens sake, what are you thinking about?
i have e-mailed the company about the q4 projections, i suggest all shareholders do the same. perhaps if enough people ask, we can get something done.
hard to say. i would think that a second major signed could push share price above current 52 week highs. i would take my money out at that point. it will be interesting to see how this c.e.o. handles things when revenue is available.
a little patience goes a long way. look, in any venture the first sale is always the hardest. i have listened to nothing the c.e.o has said. the fact of the matter is, the c.e.o. of enron, and worldcom, were both touting their stock as golden days before they bit the dust.if you need something to hold on to, simply read the article from the register. while they are clearly not fans of the company, they fairly admitted that mediamax was clearly way ahead of other products, and that mediamax would be on all releases put out by b.m.g in 2005. believe it or not, the failure of the macrovision product has probably had a negative effect on scmi. no record company wants that kind of publicity. i suspect you are all bringing each other down by making false predictions about what is going to happen this week or next.false posting about a great week or month has only lead to frustration and anger.i am looking out to december and the holiday season, then i will decide if i want to stay, or go.if something happens before that, volume will tell the story.
did he tell you how he was prepared to stop it? simply put, if they want to buy it, they will buy it. i have seen no indication that they want to.
the only likely candidate with the pockets would be macrovision. from what i have read, their latest foray into the c.d. protection industry turned into a monster debacle, with a lawsuit against emi france, and a product that simply does not work nearly as well as mediamax. i doubt a buyout will get shareholders anywhere near the lofty price that some on this board expect.unfortunately, the position we are in right now hardly affords us any leverage.
while it is great that all seem to think that major gains are on the way, can anyone say why? i am under the impression that we are not going to trade out of this range until we get a major p.r. about another major signing to use mediamax. while i feel that will happen sometime in the near future, i have not seen volume to indicate anything major has happened as of now or the next week, unless a short squeeze happens before the dividend.
what a difference a day makes around here. some here need to get a grip on things as to what goes on in the world of pinks. yesterday was a classic example of an unsuccessful shakeout. it should be obvious by now that someone on the inside was looking to get in on the cheap, hence the spread .065- .073. pretty big spread. they waited until close to 3:30 in hopes that someone would panic and sell, when it did not happen, they were forced to pay the ask for the stock, or pass it up. they paid the ask. good sign. we may see more of the same. when a stock goes from the normal spread of .003 to .007, something is up. there is still a lot of time before the dividend date, the next three weeks should be wild.
filing a complaint with the s.e.c. here is what they will do, they will send a letter to the company, wait for the company to reply, then they will send the companies response to you, and tell you that if you feel like the company is still wrong, it may be best for you to seek legal counsel. of course, any good lawyer will probably take your case, if you are willing to put up a 5 grand retainer. i know what i am talking about on this one, you are going to get no place fast. the only way a good lawyer would get involved is if you are going after a major brokerage, or a company with big bucks. your spitting into the wind, steh. if it was that easy, do you not think that those with a grudge would not have had the s.e.c. tear this company up 2 years ago?
ever seen an unsuccessful shake out? we just did.
somebody finally decided to buy the ask.
jarvis, in plain english, they are trying to rob you. look at the spread, nobody was able to buy here today under .07. they will buy your shares at .065, but they will never sell them to you for that price. i am pretty sure there are plenty of orders to buy at .065, they will not get filled.
according to the article written by the register, most industry insiders seem to think that mediamax is at least a year ahead of any other product, and that ALL releases bmg puts out in 2005 will have scmi's product on it. this is not from the mouth of the c.e.o, it is from the register. this is independant information. macrovision just fell on its face, and now has emi france being sued by people who bought cds that did not work. this is not from the c.e.o's mouth. it is from an article in the macrovision news. ask the c.e.o all you want, i have not asked him anything. this is the d.d. i am working with. can anyone refute this information?
what do you consider getting there? according to an article that is anti drm technology, and has a negative bias against the company, mediamax is going to be on every cd produced by BMG in 2005. maybe i am more patient than most because i recently bought in at around this price, but it seems the signing of another major label will surely follow, it seems just a matter of when. nothing ever happens as fast as we would like, and when dealing with a company strapped for cash, things always take the longest. on another note, if it happens, TAKE PROFITS, how many people have you met that have made a fortune buying and holding a pink sheet stock? i have seen owners of these stocks hold or buy more after the price triples, only to be burned later. get your money out, 99% of the time you will be glad you did.
did you put a cap on it? was that your trade that made it go up to .74?
he is probably to drunk to see that his own post was after 11.00. i can't stand baseless pumping. those that believe the product has great potential, just read the story by the register. in my opinion that is the best d.d. you are going to see. if you are comfortable with your position, relax, it may happen tommorow, or next month, if ever.
where is the volume?
this may stem from the fact that emi has had the problems it has had with the macrovision product. it has to be embarrassing to be a major label and being sued because your cds do not play in some stereos.
unless they shorted it naked.
anyone remember that short squeeze issue i brought up a few days ago?
who is your source? soopster?
it was my post. if there is a short position, i think they are going to have to cover before the delivery of the qtig shares, or there will not be enough qtig shares .
i am still not sure why he got so up in arms about the article. a biased interview that states that scmi has by far the best product, and is going to be on every release by bmg in 2005, from industry insiders, seems like a very good press release from scmi. if scmi said it, it is good news. the fact that people outside the company are saying it is very good news.
jarvis, the stock is trading ex dividend. those who sell today lose their dividend, and those who buy do not get a dividend.i would not be looking for much to happen until after the 30th. i am certain that there will be no news.
maybe it is me , but i didn't find the article all that offensive. most important as a shareholder is that people in the industry, other than the company, clearly think that scmi has the best technology out, and that it will be on every cd put out by bmg in 2005. i don't have that much of an interest in the checkered past, the future looks pretty bright. seems like everyone else is tripping over their own feet trying to protect cd's. the register clearly has shown that it does not respect the technology, but they can not deny that it is the best out, and is gaining acceptance. i found the article about mvsn screwing up emi's cd's after they were out and sold to be a lot more unflattering.
steh, i think the c.e.o was in a damned if you do, damned if you don't position on that register article. it would seem from reading the article that they were going to do this story, and if he did not grant them the time, they probably would have cut the company up even worse than they did. i think he did the smart thing, he gave his side of the story, and got the register at least to admit that scmi has a far better product than mvsn.
thanks for posting it.
did anyone see the article about emifrance being sued because they used macrovision technology on their cd's and they would not play on some stereos?
anyone know why they booted soopster off this board?
phlc. check out the yearly chart. it hit a high of .24 about 3 to 5 days after the shares were reorged on monster volume, 3 to 4 months before i was buying at .04 to .06
what if the shorts missed the cut off point? i had an experience several months ago with another pink sheet stock. the stock went wild the week before and the week after the cutoff point even though the company had stated the cutoff point over a month before. the week after the reorg the stock shot up from .08 to .24 on huge volume.
because they have not yet issued the dividend. what is going to happen, in my opinion, is very similar to a re-org of shares. all scmi has done is said that it will be giving the qtig shares to holders of record, they have not given actually given them out yet. only when they actually give them out, and you recieve the qtig shares, will you know if they shorted this without certificates. there simply will not be enough qtig shares for all the holders of record of scmi.
there is a naked short position, it will show up the week before the qtig shares are given to scmi shareholders. i have seen this before, if it runs up like crazy on high volume, it will be because any extra short positions will be forced to cover. i have seen this before.
the article stated that industry insiders believed that scmi technology will be on every new release from bmg in 2005, and the technology was far superior to macrovisions. if i read that article and was not invested here, i would be giving it a look.
most likely. if you sell in the next 2 days you give up your qtig shares. if you buy, you buy after the settlement date, and we all know what the market makers can do to a thinly traded pink sheet. have you ever seen a spread of .05 on the bid to .075 on the ask?
ex dividend date. those that were buying to get the dividend are gone, and those that choose to sell today through thursday are giving up their dividend shares. should make for a very thinly traded stock for the next 3 days.
great read. most important is what the industry insiders say about the technology.far superior to macrovisions, they expect every release from bmg to have sunncomms technology on it.
