No worries. That valuation is assuming a good outcome. There is a small risk for no payment outcome, or such a small payment the company absorbs it to pay off any taxes and liabilities. Really the payoff could be anything up to $165. Some believe they should be paying 'real appreciation interest' or compound interest. Then the shares could go 10x higher? There's no good way to know what will play out. However, everyone worried about hitting $1 is way undervaluing the worth here. Just trying to point that out.
I think the sleeping giants are awakening! I don't remember who said it, but someone called their broker and it said they were restructuring at this time? Makes me wonder if the company is getting its stuff back in order soon? Just the beginning here. $MNII
Let's play the valuation game for $MNII...
Current OS = 1,280,597
Current Certified US Gov't Claim = $48,587,847.92
Current Certified US Gov't Claim w/6% interest for 56 years = $211,843,016.93
So each share potentially could be worth $165.42/share!
But let's be real...
You figure a 30% shave from the US Gov't for taxes, so down to $148,290,111.85.
And maybe lawyers fees, leftover liabilities and other payouts that may equal another 25%... so down to $111,217,583.89.
So at this point, with most everything satisfied, your shares should be worth around $86.84 per share!!!
...and we're still trading at $0.40 per share today?!
Whether it's restitution or a lump sum payment or something else, the worth of these shares will be exponential from here! Lock your shares away. Even if the PPS drifts down over time (and it shouldn't) just know your end value is so much higher. And here's the best part; The longer it takes them to settle this issue, the more interest is growing and the more your shares are worth!
Also, there is some other info that may come to light here eventually that could boost PPS even higher... $MNII
Not sure. I'm thinking a small group bought in this morning? Either way, nice to see these move on no volume! I'm ready for a dollar move soon... $FRAZ
Hey folks! I sold out today...this rock is headed straight down! What a POS here!
NOT! LMAO - party is just starting for $MNII! Why anyone is selling shares is crazy?! I was excited to see that .98 ask for a min though. Dollars are coming folks. Hold your shares tight...
OMG stop! LMAO! Keep living the dream brother... Good luck to you.
And just going to help you out with this one... Read the 20-F again. Did you not see that if they default on one of their loans, the clause states they will default on ALL of their loans at that moment?! And they are taking out a note to maintain a certain balance or they will default. That doesn't scare you? Basically they need toxic financing or they will go into BK in a hurry. Doesn't sound like a healthy setup for future success! Play the pop and take your profits. If you marry this one, you'll go down with the ships!
Apparently you didn't read his tag name? Lol!
No worries, not disrespecting that one. Just hate the kool-aid drinking type though. I read the 20-F and there are too many red flags for me. I wish everyone luck. Take profits!
Yes sir, nothing good can come of a new 250k note! Why can't a company that some hold so highly secure non-toxic financing? Always a reason...
Ouch! Most people don't get how these notes work. The maturity date isn't the date they start diluting...lol. Bag holders coming!
So thin and undervalued. No shares on ask hardly! Like the 52 wk high! Let's keep it going... $FRAZ
Thanks for cheaps today mr seller! ;)
Count me in. You have my contact ;)
You've made a believer out of me! I like the shell game. Sometimes I dabble elsewhere for kicks, but shells are where the money grows!
Just impatient folk, creating a nice buying opportunity for us patient guys. Nothing has fundamentally changed...
Nice to see the 30s taken out! Ready to move into the 50-60 range soon... $FRAZ!
No worries, got exact same message about $FRAZ. I'll try and call today to see where I can get...
Have you gotten anything from Computershare? I reached out via email, but they didn't give me anything. Thinking I have to call?
I got them... Post in a min :)
FYI, the other one has a deep water port too. It's currently operational shipping sugar out even today (see the other message board - I updated it a few days ago). $MNII's port is out of commission and its up a river which has to be dredged in order for ships to make it up. Honestly I think restitution for $MNII seems really challenging since Cuba tore the factory down and zones out the property to homes now. I'm in this one for a probable payout to shareholders. This is more of a slam dunk for a payout in my eyes. I like $MNII A LOT!!! However, I see more potential for various reasons in the other... Grab some of both, can't go wrong!!!
I think the float on the other stock is much less than $MNII. But, there was some big volume in '14 before the official announcement about the US talking to Cuba. Basically, one of the most followed OTC players touted the stock and shares flipped around. Over the last 1.5 years, it has traded 1/10 of $MNII. If I had to choose, I would lean toward the other stock, but $MNII has plenty going for it too! That's why I own both :)
Two reasons...
1. Most people don't know this stock exists!
2. It trades on the OTC where everyone is gun shy and most only follow others, they don't do there DD. You can only lead the horse to water - they say. But those that have truly looked into the info presented, I bet have placed a few bets.
It's not a matter of principle, just knowledge. Honestly, if it can stay at this level up to the date of payout, I will be just as happy! I'm in for long run. And willing to buy up float at right time.
I know my extended family is buying shares this week too. The more shares off the board, the better.
Here is the frozen asset info that the US has kept from the Cuban gov't...
https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Documents/tar2015.pdf
In 2015, the amount remaining frozen is $243.2 million.
Fine, .07! Lol!
Good for you Aqua! Enough foresight and balls to load the boat early. I hope this retirement thing pans out for all of us...
$MNII
Very insightful! Good luck with that theory LMAO! I see you're on the bid ;)
You're set brother! If you ever get antsy, I'll buy all your shares at .05 each ;) Our chart alone has to be showing up on some peeps radars. I feel like we are all vultures just waiting for a PPS dump to swoop up the remaining shares at a discount!
Chipping away at the remaining 20s. About to be history!
I love the articles quoting the state dept officials as saying they fighting for the FULL claim! If this takes two more years, do they add two more years of interest on? Lol
Let's pretend we get a full payout ($211+ mil), I assume a 30% federal tax haircut, plus 25% more for lawyers, liabilities, other fees. That still leaves about $86+ per share! And we're still at $.28...
Man, I needed one more day in teens for my funds to clear! Ugh. CDRL looks like a winner...
It's sentences like this, that get me excited for the future...
Priority declared
“Property claims continue to be one of our priorities in the negotiation process with Cuba,” the State Department’s spokesperson said. “We are strongly committed to defending all of those claims that have been registered, as well as the other complaints US citizens have made against Cuba and we hope to make progress with this process.”
http://www.havanatimes.org/?p=120278
That is the $211 Million dollar question! :)
So here is the complexity of the negotiation...
If the US pays the embargo claim from Cuba ($300 Billion), this would be WORSE than us just brushing the certified claims under the rug and saying we're all good here. To put an embargo in place, only to have to pay off the issues it caused, seems like an injustice. Also, the US has confiscated/fined many other countries for trying to go around that embargo. How would those countries feel if Cuba won $300 Billion but they were penalized and paid billions??? This is where it gets sticky...
First off, No side refutes the fact that the claims need to be paid. Cuba agrees, the US agrees, and International Law states this needs to happen. So I feel confident no matter the outcome, we will see our share.
There are the Cuban vs Cuban claims and which is a real wildcard here. Many us civilians that were once cuban and had their property taken from them. This might be the largest claim of all. Are these people on their own?! Or is the US backing them up too?
Then there's the Cuban claims. Their claims are held up by their own court rulings (no duh Cuba), but they have no substantiation in international law... even though many countries frown on us for the embargo in the first place.
I'm thinking the US negotiators are trying to get Cuba to pay the claims first and then haggle over the rest. In a few articles the state department was discussing paying out a subset of claims ASAP. However, will the Cuban gov't do this? Probably not. They know they have no leg to stand on with the US once they do that. I see the certified claims as being the pivot point for this whole thing, so Cuba will probably drag this out as long as possible.
It's tough to say how this will play out and under what timeline. I'm thinking once negotiations start, there are going to be some strong feelings on both sides and this will take a while. The question will be, will these claims be settle separate to the rest of the discussion or as a package deal? That will determine our timeline.
I think there's about five of us here that truly understand the potential in $MNII! Those worried about pennies now are going to missing out on the dollars! There's really not a reason this will go back down. Even if it takes years, the claim interest grows and grows! The principle and OS will always remain the same. I've never seen so much bid support, which tells me slowly the word is spreading. $MNII is about to have a breakout! I don't think there are many shares on the ask above .30. We may find out this week. I've also seen a lot of key phrases from this involved with the claims negotiations and no red flags. Just time...
Maybe more quickly than we imagine? Seems there were some new buyers today... Which is what we need. Not many eyes on this, so that limits our ability to move north too quickly. Any article calling out $MNII in it, will bring buyers quickly!
From the latest discussions this is what I've deducted:
- both sides agree to meet more frequently.
- the us is willing to put time/money up to make this happen quickly.
- both sides are trying to understand the information each has been given so a negotiation can truly start.
- Cuba has stated it has always intended to pay the claims
- this is very, very complex. But there are precious negotiations that each can draw off of.
So now the question is, if Cuba expects the US to pay $300bil for the embargo, they must be mistaken. If we don't pay, what will they do to the claims amount? Or are they separate issueS? Who knows...
Still looking at possible $211mil payout on the table with 1.28mil OS!
Check this out! It's a Cuban article on the claims discussion during the last few days..
'Abelardo Moreno on compensation Cuba-US: Only we're talking'
Dialogues trade-offs between Cuba and the United States are in the "early stages" and is one of the most complex issues in the process of normalization of bilateral relations, said Monday the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno, in dialogue with journalists Havana...
..Moreno confirmed that you can not advance even how to complete the process of exchange between the two countries, because "not yet decided" how to continue the future meetings. However, he admitted that the meetings will continue in the coming months...
...Moreno recalled that "the revolutionary government always had the political will to compensate foreign natural and legal persons whose property passed to the Cuban state," but the US blockade prevented those compensation formulas, he said...
Did you just notice what that last paragraph said?!?! Looks promising...

This is absolutely crazy folks! There are only 23 followers on this board and I can't imagine too many know about this one outside of ihub currently. Once this hits the masses and a deal is confirmed, we will be firmly in the multi-dollar range!
$MNII
Once in a lifetime opportunity about to pass many by...
Nice slap! Ready to move up now... Shares getting very, very scarce. Most buying at these levels are burying them away. Soon many will be paying dollars for 100s of shares, not 1,000s.
Better get yours why you can...
$MNII ready to blast off!
$MNII someone knows what's going on. Nice bid at .25! This is ready to break into the .30's...
No worries, I'm not. He's wrong anyways... Looking good today. Would be nice to close over a penny! $LOCMQ
Shares coming down. Active seller on L2. Be read...
