Samson Oil & Gas cancels Roosevelt Project sale

Samson Oil & Gas (SSN -8.9%) plunges after reporting last night it had cancelled the $13.5M sale of its interest in the Roosevelt Project in Montana after the expected buyer failed to close by July 31 as contracted.
SSN believes the project is a "unique and valuable asset," and still hopes to realize value through a sale or joint development project.

Key to the PR is unfortunately in the yada yada yada I'm afraid....look at market capitalization after latest offering. I knew this was going to effect the share structure but didn't really study this. So after offering the current market cap is $78 million. This may be some of the reason the share price is adjusting. I need to do a little more due diligence regarding share structure. These guys need to get to producing the goods.

Second lesson learned with this one. Take profits when they present themselves. I've been in this one for about a year and half and let it run to $1.20 the first time and held and let it run to over .90 an held. I guess I'm a 2x bag holder. Haha it will come back I'm sure but hate missed opportunity. Not quite sure why the PR of the broken drill?? Wtf?!!! Lol

Any input on my last post? Is there any truth to placing a sell order to reduce available shares for shorting?

This may be an old wives' tale but I've heard that if you place a sell, limit order for your shares, the market makers are not able to short that number shares. I've heard this few times so anytime I suspect short activity, I set my limit sell order for all of my shares for as high as my broker will allow me to. Not sure if it works or not but can't hurt. The idea is that they cannot borrow shares that are not available.

I don't think this is negative. If you look at the last bit of the advisory the update on the drilling seems to be positive
