Rustler,
I trust you'll be letting Ike know very soon.
Thanks,
Mike
Well put Rustler! I couldn't agree more!

Wouldn't it have been great if it had been one of the recent episodes on Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump? Teams of celebrities each coming up with the best advertising campaign to introduce this great new innovative service? It would have been HUGE! The company could have had the best national advertising campaign money could buy with all costs going to charity and deductible!

Yoyomama...That's a very good question! I realize it states on the company website that starting June 1 all keywords will be leased on a "paid in advance" basis.
In my opinion unless we see a PR that all non-paying keywords currently operational will be cut off, then we really don't know for sure. Frankly I feel the company should contact every company that hasn't signed up and ask them. In some cases they could actually show them the evidence from the database that shows how many texts were sent to them during the trial period. In other words give them a chance to see how many texts were made with absolutlety NO advertizing on their part at all. It's possible that it could be a real eye opener. If nothing else someone should at least talk to a decision maker whether they are an Ambassador or work for the company.

That's great! I think it's a sign of the times we're in. Anything to make business and life in general easier will catch on quickly.

I have to believe that most medium to large size companies would subscribe to this service for $500/mo if they only knew about it. It's also a good fit for many small companies in their localized areas too. In most cases for much less than $500/month. Single area codes are fairly inexpensive.
JMHO
Mike
Not necessarily. It's free up until June 1st and there are a lot of businesses that have been entered into the database since going active April 15th. We'll have to wait and see if they are a paying customer. I don't know why they wouldn't for $500/month. In my mind it's a no brainer.

More importantly for DirectTV is that it ties directly into their existing automated system. They have plenty of employees to handle the traffic.
I recall someone recently saying they felt that the use of this service would require companies to hire many more employees and that may deter them from buying this service. I'm not sure that's going to be the case for large companies that already have an automated system.
Yesterday I texted DirecTV to get another TV hooked up. I was contacted by DirecTV within 20 seconds and it went directly into their automated system of answering questions by punching numbers. It only took another 30-40 seconds before I was actually talking to a person though. So this is just an easier way for customers to get connected.

Oil9911,
Does Ike have your phone number? I know you wrote him a letter a while back.

I don't think your going to get anyone to attempt to answer this for you. You need to decide this for yourself. Every person's financial situation is different. I don't recommend putting all your eggs in one basket. This is Penneyland where anything can happen. Granted none of us believe that GOIG is your typical penney stock but it's anyone's guess where this will be in 1 to 3 years from now. I have over 3.5 million shares but what I've invested I can afford to lose. I'm in this for the long haul because I truely believe this is a great new technology that can benefit a large number of businesses. You have to be able to sleep at night so don't invest any more than you can afford to lose.
This is just my opinion and others may not agree but bottom line is it's your decision.

Well think of it this way. Most of those old school newspaper readers, myself included, are the very business owners and CEO's that will be reading and making the decision to buy keywords. You also don't need a smartphone as any cell phone will do.

I don't know yet Mick but I don't know how you could ignore such a large metropolitan area like Denver and it's surrounding communities. I'm sure it would be embraced by many companies if they only knew about it.

If he has some suggestions that could be implemented then let's hear them. Otherwise people need to quit critisizing what the Ike's doing and let him implement his business plan. No one can possibly know what he has in store for us as witnessed by morning's PR.
Rustler,
You've brought up some very good points. But now put yourself in Ike's shoes. What would you do as CEO of GoIP Global to finance a media blitz that would get us recognized with phenominal growth by the end of the year? I don't think any of us want to see major dillution. There's nothing wrong with a slow methodical approach as long as we reach the same end results. I think we need to be patient and let Ike execute his business plan. After all this new technology was just launched 1 month ago. I can't wait for him to roll out the next 3 phases he has planned. I'm sold on this regardless of how long it takes to unfold.
I'm not pointing this at you but there's way too many people on this board that expect immediate gains and are quick with their criticisms.

Good guess! I live in the suburbs just south of Denver. There's about 4 million people within the 2 area codes we have and I'll be happy to pay $391/mo for the keyword "Realtor". I also invested in many domain names one of which is Go800Realtor.com. I need to hire a web site designer and get this moving.
I'm not arguing with you because your right. I just tried it myself so it's definitely not active. I just went through my notes from our conversation but it doesn't look like I wrote it down. As I recall I was also asking him about keywords (Mortgage, Mortgages, Loans). I'm getting near 60 years old now so it's also possible it was a different keyword. They were all related to real estate though.

Mike
I'm into photoshop so I added the Go800 logo. I'm actually thinking of getting a custom rear window sign made though. This thing catches so many people's eye that they sometimes follow me for miles until I stop so they can see it. It would be great for advertizing!
Thanks! It's one of my money pits! I quit counting at $35k. It's actually a 67 Chevelle SS. My son built me a 496 big block with 700HP.
Smitty I think your making a mountain out of a molehill just because the keyword "Real Estate" doesn't work. Perhaps the company or person that had gotten it cacelled it prior to June 1st so they didn't get billed. There was another shareholder on this site that mentioned tying up multiple generic keywords for his business. Go see message #56026 and my response #56038. I suggested he concentrate on his area codes and make his keyword short as in "Signs" instead. He thanked me and said he was going to do that instead.
I don't feel Ike had any reason not to tell me the truth. He also told me which area codes had already locked up Realtor in case I still wanted to purchase it at a reduced price.

Ike strikes me as an honest man. If he indeed did state to someone that we had over 400 signed on now, I'd have to believe him. During our long conversation he opened up the database for me to check on a few generic keywords I had interest in. At that time no one had locked up "REALTOR" nationally but there were 7 area codes that were signed up, 2 of which were mine. He told me that someone had locked up the national keyword "REAL ESTATE" so I have to assume it's a company with enough revenue to do something with it. I haven't tried texting it but if it's purchased you can imagine the possibilites if marketed properly.

I'm still here SilverHorizon. I actually posted a message last night. I'm still monitoring the board daily and taken care of business.
There are several shareholders / business owners on IHUB that have signed up and we are a mere minority. You can go back though all the messages and find them. I purchased the keyword "Realtor" for multiple area codes and intend to keep them. I also went through the process of getting approval by the company to incorporate their logo into our advertizing. I have a large shipment of signs being made and will arrive in a few days.
I'm only one of many customers. There's no possible way to evaluate what this technology can do for a business in a 30 day trial period. It takes time to get advertizing completed and in the public's eye. At a bare minimum I intend to evaluate this over a 6 month period beginning June 1. Frankly in the real estate business it will only take 1 to 3 sales per year to break even on the service. I'm sold on the technology as a shareholder and a customer.
Nice post Mick! Well done!
I can't disagree with you at all. For what it's worth, I would operate the company as you have suggested too!
My DirecTV listing doesn't show Money TV listed at all.
Well some things are out of Ike's hands and I know he's a very very busy man. I'm sure information on the divy and the cell phone recycling company will eventually come out. Frankly the divy is peanuts to us shareholders. I also feel it's a plus that we not get into the cell phone recycling business. I prefer the company using their cash toward growing this business and staying focused on it too! I'm not worried at all about my investment in this company, regardless whether in Pennyland or not! IMO we will all be very happy to be shareholders in the future!
I just checked my DirecTV listing through 5/16 on channel 354 and can't find any listings at all for Money TV. My recorder seems to have recorded the only 2 episodes aired in the last 3 weeks. I checked the listing on Direct TV's website and it didn't air today. I have no idea if it's been dropped or moved to another channel. Maybe someone else knows.
I have my recorder set to record all Money TV episodes on DirecTV. I just checked and it shows no new episodes recorded on channel 354. I can't tell if an episode aired or not. I only have it set to record new episodes so they may have aired a rerun. That would explain no new recordings. This Money TV interview sure didn't get the airing any of us expected.
Goob83...Thanks for sharing that with us.
I had never heard of YELP before but just went to their website to check it out. I think this is a good example of small business owners finding inexpensive ways to advertize their "keyword". Are there any other sites similar to this that your aware of?
For the consumer it seems to me that golf courses are a perfect fit for Go800 service. Easy to use and easy to connect!
When I spoke with Ike I asked him about this. He replied they were looking into it but it was not a 100% certainty. Frankly I would rather that they spend their money growing their Go800 technology than using it to acquire another company. Hopefully the $ will go toward marketing instead. This is just my opinion!
Oil9911....Great post! I couldn't agree more or said it any better! Thanks for being a voice of reason on this board. Your intelligent and factual comments are always welcomed here!

This was obviously not reviewed for content prior to publication. But that's JMHO.
Fair enough! Let's just say if any of you have a referral for an IR firm with a good reputation then please point them out. I believe the company is willing to listen. Enough said!

Where did you get this information from? If it's just your opinion then please state IMHO otherwise please state your source of this information.
No not for the keyword "Realtor" but the keyword "Realestate" has been reserved nationally. When I talked to Ike he was able to bring up the database and as I recall there were 7 area codes where "Realtor" is reserved, 2 of which are mine. He told me that if someone were to buy the national keyword "Realtor" they would have access to all the other area codes but the 7 that had already been purchased. So it's basically first come first served.
