I learned that maybe I should keep some free cash on hand when approaching the split.
Opportunity opened up to buy more cheap shares to carry forward or sell before the split.
Exactly, if they sold and bought back in already it is on its way up. They have all trading day monday to sell.
Something is brewing here. Even the bashers can't deny this. Volume is coming in. (I'm on the fence as a basher/maybe there is hope).
You're logic that MM's would play a practical joke can't be taken seriously.
Flippers that played that right are going to make BANK. I do believe we are on our way back up though and it will go higher. Hoping for penny, but it may be out of our reach.
No they are not done yet. It is already on its way back up. Those that sold at 10:30 are geniouses though. Especially if they bought back in. They may be able to flip this twice now before the split.
Kirby was right ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
He said 1030 was the time to sell. I do expect some sort of a bounce though. Those that sold could try for second flip play maybe!
This is interesting. Either some big gamblers are rolling the dice or maybe something is coming up?
Question, how effective are stop losses when it comes to subpenny/penny stocks(PINKS) likes this? I would think that because of the volatility, they will not be very effective.
Have you ever tried stop loss on a subpenny?
I was wondering if for some reason this goes beyond the penny pre split, is it possible to set a stop loss at the penny and actually be protected?
Comparing this split to the last one is like comparing apples to oranges.
The split is half of what it was last time. The price did not rise as quickly as it did last time and the volume is less, so there should not be as big of a dump.
The product has launched and we are expecting news of dividends and the announcement of the new launch immediately to follow. The last time there was no product and everything was just pure speculation as to whether they were even going to release the gotv. They did not PR for some time after that and I assumed it was all a scam for a few months. Now they are PR'ing every other day to keep investors informed.
Predicting the peak will be hard and there is a chance that at your 1030 tomorrow it could very well be the high point. But I would assume the peak would be closer towards 1030 on the day of the split. I also don't think you will see as low as 0.0005 post split. Not sure if it even got that low with the 10:1 forward split. If we both get the sell orders filled at what we want, then I would be jumping for joy to see it drop that low. I would probably be too anxious and buy back in thinking it would never see that low of a level though.
I'm surprised you even want to buy back in though. Before you thought you were trapped here for at least a year and you were writing it off as a loss. Have you decided that this is a good flip play stock?
Close at 0.0085. If that happens, I would say penny land is definite pre split.
2 full trading days, I think we are hitting that penny baby!!
You have until end of trading day april 5th to take advantage of the split.
Or you can try and hop in now and see if you get a quick gain off tomorrow's action if you are a flipper.
Window is small but still open.
I couldn't believe when he said that. I'm still not sure if maybe he has some alterior motive. He's still pessimistic about this rise.
Kirby should be excited that he has an opportunity to bail. Even if I sell, I'm going to be around here for a LONG time always looking for opportunities to reinvest or load up more.
Get your sell orders ready Kirby. You were worried you were going to be stuck here all year and you may have a chance to be out today or tomorrow.
If anything, you can reduce your losses big time if you wanted to sell very shortly.
I'm going to try a flip hopefully shortly myself
Yeah, I was looking at February because I still have that on my wall. The 5th is on a Friday that month :)
A close at 0.008. Challenge me :)
April 5th is the date. I counted that day as a trading day too.
What do we have, 6 more trading days after this? Somewhere between here and a penny will have a quick boost. Plenty of time for the penny still before the split.
SOunds like this david sims guy who wrote the article has a thing for the asian chick in the demo :)
I wonder why the volume is less this time around. There are so many things on the table to speculate with....
I'm sticking with my guns sell at the penny and buy back in at the drop (rolling the dice that at some point it will drop below 0.002). If it does not reach the penny, it will make my decision that much easier to just hold for the split.
If there were supposedly people watching this stock at what point would they start buying?!?!?!
Can't get any volume when they are practically giving the shares away for nothing. Not looking to good here.
Accroding to that cycle, we should sell just before the split and buy in the next day or two on the drop. Wouldn't you agree?
Personally, I think it will be a fight to the penny before the split and we may not get there. The 0.015 and 0.02 is a wonderful dream.
Any investors who have been around here since at least September agree or disagree with me?
False :)
Excellent question, but if I had to place a guess, everything will be locked up until the split is processed. Not sure if the symbol will change like last time, but that may prevent you from trading your current shares as well.
Your broker is another key factor. Some take longer to process orders than others. I remember hearing a lot of complaints about not being able to sell when they wanted to last split. I think you will not be able to sell your current shares. I could be wrong, but prepare for that.
I'm sure many felt the same about the 10 to one forward splits. I think in the beginning it did get down to 0.000's for a brief moment.
The GOTV brought it to the penny.
The GOPHONE will be the new one and with the two combined should bring it back. You have my unofficial seal of approval of that.
I guess the stock would be considered over valued then :)
Right now, I think they are off the map. Once they start commercial advertising, more eyes will be on this stock and I still can see it rising to the penny.
It took less then 6 months after a 10:1 forward split to return to the penny.
I have a false sense of confidence that we will be at a minimum of a the penny before 2010 is over. The max I can not predict. I've never seen a stock explode before so I could not hazard a guess.
They are going to make an announcement of the launch date of the GOPHONE, they are not physically launching the product early April.
This is exciting news, however they got themselves in trouble by announcing the GOTV too early, which they are once again putting themselves in an unnecessary position. A delay in launch has a very negative effect on pps down the road.
I could care less if they are delayed a week or two, I would want to make sure they had a completed product ready to put on the shelf, but from an investment standpoint, it is very risky trading. They should hopefully be somewhat vague and say first half of a certain month so they have some breathing room. The alternative is to set the target date further into the future and try to finish the product before the deadline. This makes them look even better.
I know first rule is not to get emotionally attached, but I am long term on this.
They did 2 10:1 forward splits and it returned to to the penny. I want everything in, to follow the next ride up to the penny.
The announcement timing is to prevent everyone from deciding to sell before the split?
I was planning on flipping and buying back in after the stock drops. Now I am not so sure the stock will drop that significantly. Last split they did not have much to report on after. This time, they have a grocery list of things they can pr on after the split and we may not get that opportunity to flip.
I may have to remove the penny sale. Anyone else trying for a flip play here?
Hey, I'm for more PR's. Only problem is when you release a PR of something you are working on, if it does not get accomplished on the proposed date, it has a very negative effect on pps and investors attitudes. Sometimes, it would be safer to just release the PR when the feat has been accomplished.
I know this because I am in a company that PR's every other day. I love it because I am constantly informed. The problem is when they are delayed a week or even a day or two from accomplishing something, everyone panics on the boards and pps goes down.
I hardly have any money on the account, I am very small time player. Currently, I have all cash tied up in stock. If I sold one today before the close, the funds were in my account and ready for trade first thing in the morning the following day.
I know because I have done so several times last month.
I started with fidelity because I was using them for the 401k. They are god awful when it comes to pennies. It would take close to a week for my funds to clear.
I opened up zecco because I wanted to try trading pennies on my spare time and did not want to pay the 19.99 commission trade each time. With zecco, if you sell today, you can trade with the funds tomorrow.
Agreed. It was fluff hoping to get a little rise out of us maybe... They took the situation and turned it into a 2 PR event. Now they can PR that they removed it.
I remember last split it took more than a day to get our shares. You are saying that that letter states we will have the shares in our account next day and that they will be tradeable ?! I would think that that depends on the brokers we use.
What does "the ex-dividend date of April 6th" mean from the PR?
Lets get that 0.007 close.
I buy based on stream of PR's board discussion (active boards)and volume and looking at the ytd graphs.
Very amature and blind, but that is why I haven't strayed too far from here. Hopped over to GOIG and took some quick dollars there and am back here.
I buy and hold till I get my final sale though, I do not flip very much at all.
I am not invested enough to buy membership status here. Still working full time.
They will not be restricted, but there will be a time lag from the issuance date announced and the date that you will receive them (couple of days).
From my last experience I remember wishing I could sell right after the split, but I did not have my shares yet. In the end best I held onto them. There will not be any kind of 6 month wait though. Once you get them they are yours to sell.
Also, another thing is they will be handing out more divi shares of GOTV after the split. This GOTV stock is not on the open market so you can't do anythign with these. If the sales take off on this GOTV product though you will get a check in the mail for your share. Also if down the road they sell this company, which there is talk of, you will have shares in it and get a piece.
Right now the shares are worthless, but you dont have to pay for them or trade them. You just collect when they issue a divi. The dividend issuance after the split might be the next thing issued and will push for a rise is pps.
