Jetfan, perhaps AMLO, Nahle, & Herrera would like to see consensus here before the energy plan is announced?
I like it. He touched on much of the economic contingency plan this morning. Maybe tomorrow he’ll run out of things to say and announce it.
Haha all good points Ibow!!
So, in short, it’s as clear as day; the 339 billion pesos is in reference to Mexico’s investment in the energy infrastructure plan.
Even in the bnamericas article Macod posted.. The context is Mexico’s budget!
Haha I think Need4speed stated it well.. Pride.
In which way would you say?
As stiffnecked as AMLO has been showing himself, this Coronavirus is showing to be our friend. Even a pandemic, squeezing this much pressure and desperation into AMLO can hardly get him to fold on his nationalistic agenda. Where would we be without it?! I hope the pretzel he’s in with the CCE/private sector squeezes so tight that he coughs up the Energy Package by Easter.
Right on.. I guess it’s just part of the game for me.. piecing together the giant puzzle. Making for a life changing piece of art!
So strange though.. Every time we’ve seen this Energy Plan written about, it’s always in terms of USD. At first it was $100 billion USD, then $92 billion.. now pesos¿
Good point.. 275 projects is what they increased to.
From Tonight:
We are hearing "this week" as opposed to "next week". I'll take it.
Now, the pesos amounts are throwing me off. Perhaps these pesos amounts are what Mexico is investing in the Energy plan. If that is the case, the amount of pesos they intended to invest into energy has tripled since January, if i'm understanding correctly. Thoughts?

Great posts Ibow..
I’m wondering why you guys are so optimistic? I hope y’all are seeing things I’m not! Haha
Don’t mess with our heads man. It will be hard enough if Mirage isn’t in the first announcement.
Haha he wrote me one. I appreciated it.
Not my predictions anyway, just what we hear south of the border.
Perhaps we’re the one’s at fault.... failing to understand the true meaning of “next week”.
Sunday, April 5th Information
Well, here we are again.. and once again I am full of hope and expectation. We have been here many many times, so let us keep our reservations.

Macod, Mexico’s Secretary of Energy is loving it.
Tweet from Rocio Nahle:
The @GobiernoMX maintains communication with producing countries in order to stabilize the production platform and achieve an adequate price quotation in the oil price.
Good news that the USA, Saudi Arabia and Russia that are big producers are on the same route.

Buena noticia que USA, Arabia Saudita y Rusia que son grandes productores estén en la misma ruta. https://t.co/zfG0dhxrx0
Correct, 42" - I LOVE seeing it in the database! That's the official site to track all of the projects. Such a huge claim from Ward to publish PR saying its Mirage's project. It is either 100% true, or a well thought out and intricate LIE.
Tradingformyfuture, separate from the whistler. This is part of the Isthmus program.

Confirmed: The Jáltipan Gas Pipeline Expansion is Mirage:

Penny, on the map in the second PR there is a 12" gas line being expanded to 42". Do you/anyone know whether that's a part of their projects' scope?
Tradingformyfuture, regarding CCE, this weekend, and the future of Mirage:
CCE has long supported the immediate announcement of energy structure projects. We like seeing this official document, but their narrative towards AMLO has not changed. They even openly damn many of the unfavorable decisions that have been made towards current private sector projects over the past six months. They, of all people, are most angered by the delay and want action now. Thank God, we also heard the Mexican Senate issuing similar urgency to AMLO just a few days ago regarding the energy package.. These words are echoing from the senate and business council, "NOW".. "IMMEDIATELY"..
Arturro Herrera and AMLO have both said each week, for the past three or four, that the plan is ready and will be announced "next week".. or some variation of that. We know that Arturo's Economic Contingency package includes the Energy Plan. What gives us a glimmer of hope for this weekend is that the junior reporter (cited yesterday for the El Universal article post#12615) said Arturro was presenting a "package of measures to mitigate the enconomic impact" on Saturday. That's significant, because as I have stated numerous times, the energy package is 1 of 10 items that have been identifed as being part of Aruro's Economic Contingency Plan. We also know that Arturo is The Guy responsible for the Energy Plan presentation, even though others are definitely involved. My doubts, which are many, are due to the face that I haven't found even one additional source reporting Arturro to be scheduled to present the Economic Contingency Plan on Saturday. And even if this Economic Contingency Package is presented, no one has guaranteed us that the Energy Plan will be presented in all of its splendor and glory. We just suspect it because we know it plays an important role!
I hear from others that Ward has no expectation of the presentation happening in the next few weeks. I think we should join him in this expectation. What will help us wait patiently is the fact that the crash in crude oil has only increased the dire need for private foreign investment in energy infrastructure; especially Mirage's projects.
Everyone please note, I am not the one kicking the can down the street. I share what I find others reporting.. which is often citing Arturro Herrera, Carlos Salazar, or AMLO himself. If you are comfortable and confident in your investment and have no need for "prospective" dates that proceed from these government officials, then you can disregard my posts. Some here desire to know what is unfolding as the lifetime implications are huge. I appreciate the board for the info shared, and the "thank you's" are encouraging to me.
I like how Kaerjrms shared the timeline of what we've been thru as of late. I am bracing myself for it to be added to. I trust every bit of it will be worth the wait.
How nice. Why don't you two meet up for some whine?
On Monday March 9th, Arturro Herrera met with AMLO late in the evening to discuss the Economic Contingency Plan. The Energy Plan was identified as 1 of 10 key aspects. A second, to send a clear message of confidence to the private sector.
AMLO said this past Friday, that this week the Energy Plan would be presented.
Two sources published today said the Economic Contingency Plan would be presented Saturday/Sunday (includes energy).
Remember, the energy plan is #3 on the list out of 10 objectives for the Economic Contingency Plan. Looking forward to Sunday.
Cheers,

Prospective dates:
Saturday, April 4th
"The future of Mexico, and its permanence at the head of the Secretariat, Herrera is going to risk next April 4, when he announces the package of measures to mitigate the enconomic impact caused by the coronavirus, and perhaps more importantly, how he plans to reactivate the country's economy."
https://www.eluniversal.com.mx/opinion/mario-maldonado/arturo-herrera-el-ultimo-dique-antes-de-la-colision
Sunday, April 5th
"López Obrador will present next Sunday an economic support plan to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on the Mexican economy, which last year decreased 0.1%. Some experts have predicted falls in GDP of more than 5% for 2020 as a result of the impact of the pandemic."
https://www.larazon.es/internacional/20200331/b7amu5wmjveg5ctgbpl4yeri6q.html
True, AMLO did say that. They are down to the essentials:
"The Undersecretary of Health emphasized that, at the meeting of the Federal Health Council, held this afternoon, an initial plan was agreed to reinforce the measures that are already applied.
Among the measures agreed by this Council and which extend from March 30 to April 30, the first is the immediate suspension of all non-essential activities in all sectors, except medical, health support, public security, defense of national sovereignty and the administration of justice.
Among the essential sectors where the measure is adjusted are the economy, infrastructure and energy conservation and social programs."
https://www.la-prensa.com.mx/mexico/politica/se-extiende-la-suspension-de-actividades-no-esenciales-hasta-el-30-de-abril-5038039.html
I don't disagree.. but i will add every available pebble to my mound of evidence.
The Four Storage Facilities
*Information taken from the National Infrastructure Projects Hub*
Yes, we still need to see the companies awarded these projects. This project listing is from the first quarter of 2018 and the last update given to it was November 8th, 2019. You'll notice in the listing that it reads "This project is no longer kept up to date". I believe that was probably written then since it was decided that the Energy package wouldn't be announced along with Phase 1 on November 26th, 2019. Once we have our announcement, this page will be updated to show the selected field, the Campo Brasil being constructed in a Public/private partnership with CENOTE ENERGY S. de R. L. de C. V.. Per the PR on the 18th, Mirage signed the agreement to obtain and file the necessary permits for the storage facility.
Description
Tender for the provision of the strategic natural gas storage service, limited to fields previously declared economically unviable for the extraction of hydrocarbons, and will consider the constitution of at least 10 BCF (Billions of cubic feet).
In order to select the best conditions to detonate the first strategic storage infrastructure project, CENAGAS will carry out a nomination process on the following four fields ruled by the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) as economically unviable for the extraction of hydrocarbons:
- Field Acuyo *
- Campo Brasil *
- Campo Jaf *
- Campo Saramako *
* More information technical sheets
The nomination and preparation process for the first tender will be carried out according to the following phases:
Phase I.- Opening of the data room. With the support of the CNH and SENER, on May 14, 2018, CENAGAS made available to those interested (through the CNH data room) the data package of the four economically infeasible fields for the extraction of hydrocarbons. ("Anybody else that starts on this project is three or four years behind us — on any storage project in Mexico." - Michael Ward)
Phase II.- Nomination process. The nomination will be a process that will allow interested companies to propose, in a non-binding manner, the development of a field for strategic storage purposes, providing technical, economic, legal and social arguments.
CENAGAS will analyze the nominations received and select the field that gives it the greatest benefit with respect to the country's energy security.
Phase III.- Preparation of bidding conditions. Once the field is selected, CENAGAS will prepare the preliminary bidding conditions for the strategic storage infrastructure project.

Question:
Since this 12" line is shown in Mirage's infographic, does that mean its their project?

FYI - from the link above , you can view the "Complete Document" which is 501 slides covering the Infrastructure Plan. Wow. I don't have the time to thumb through it all at the moment, but I bet there are plenty more tidbits pertaining to Mirage. Reading between the lines has been the name of the game for us. Soon, we will see plainly, MIRAGE ENERGY.

Oh well, any buy is a steal.
Have a great weekend.
Okay, AMLO.. This one is out of your mouth. The Mirage family is counting on you.

Romo is still confident that everything is moving in the right direction for the announcement..he’s also convinced it’s happening soon.
We’ve heard soon a million times, but in such a time as this I’ll take it. Thankful the narrative hasn’t changed and our advocates’ confidence has not wavered.

Hmm, so maybe Taco Tuesday?!
Question; Is this PR simply stating that Mirage is the responsible party within these partnerships to obtain and file the permits?
AMLO said the Energy Presentation will be either Friday or Monday.

Wow...
Simply amazing
Slim and Baillères ready announcements of new investments in the coming days
López Obrador assured that the first businessman will make an announcement tomorrow Tuesday, the second already told him about more energy and mining businesses.
3-16-2020
Andrés Manuel López Obrador insists that the country has conditions so that the coronavirus crisis does not affect Mexico economically. To support this idea, on Monday he announced that businessmen Carlos Slim and Alberto Baillères committed to new investments.
In his conference from the National Palace, he revealed that he had a phone call with the president of Grupo Bal: "He told me about new investments in both mining and oil," he said. It must be remembered that his oil company will be the Mexican one that will generate crude oil production through the contracts he acquired after the oil rounds of the last administration.
Despite the surprise cut by the Fed to almost 0%, financial markets return to turmoil
In addition, the president announced that Carlos Slim will make an investment announcement for Mexico tomorrow, without offering more details about it. He also recalled that at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next, the highly anticipated investment plan for energy infrastructure will be presented. A plan that, he assured, will contain "considerable" public and private investment for the sector.
He also spoke of other advantages for the economy, for example, the fact that fuel prices are so low. Today, the Mexican mix continues to hover around $ 24 a barrel, a drop of almost half of what was estimated in the economic package for this year. However, the president considered that it could be seen as a "stimulus", since it helps, in turn, lower fuel prices, such as gasoline.
Another bonus he listed is the recent approval of the T-MEC by the Canadian Parliament. The president recalled that the expectation is that it will come into operation in June, a scenario more advanced than expected before the virus crisis.
It also arranged other external actions such as yesterday in the United States, where the Federal Reserve (Fed) decided to lower interest rates to levels not seen for 389 years. "It helps us a lot because it helps stabilize the market and helps us with the currency and the stock market." In this sense, he also recalled that Banxico has the possibility of following this route, with autonomy.
The market already anticipates that the coronavirus will sink the Mexican economy by 2% this year
Finally, he said that, as far as tourism is concerned, he does not see a concern at the moment: "We continue to have a tourist influx. We do not go ahead, but we also have advantages. Yesterday I was in Acapulco, the occupation was 94%," he said.
In this sense, he assured that Mexico will not suffer. "My dream is that we are well." His words contrast with the nervousness in the world financial markets, which this day returns to a black Monday, with falls in the main international stock markets and pressure on the exchange rate, because at the start of the day, the peso almost started in the 23 units per dollar. That together with a forecast of lower global economic growth and projections that the Mexican economy will contract for the second consecutive year.

Zach, Macod, good stuff;
I found it interesting that those who are most adamant about private investment are the very ones hoping for further delays in the announcement being made.
