Junk, after a quick look at the Verizon site it would appear the number is greater than 7. They just PR'd that they now have 16 cities in Texas. The total is a bit more nebulous but it appears to be around 30 something cities/communities have it and with new additions coming on rather quickly.

Any thoughts as to whether this FiOS constitutes/satisfies the "150 markets" clause of the gay games???

There is really no physical constraint to keep him from further dilution. That assumes, of course, that he intends to simply come in, make a buck, and run.

Of course, he would have to do it long enough to recoup his initial investment plus presumably a profit. At this point, I would think that he would have to sell blocks of shares at a discount to entice a large enough buyer. Say offer them at 0.00008 so that the buyer could turn around and dump at 0.0001.

On the other hand, if he is serious about turning Q around, the last thing he would want is more dilution IMO.

So it all comes back to his intentions, which none of us knows. Yet.

Itesprit, its not the R/S per se that scares many. It's the potential for further dilution after the R/S that's scary.

Willie - no one answered your question IMO because it is irrelevant at this time. Like it or not Fan is who we have. As to proving that he is NOT a front man you are asking someone to prove a negative. Logically no one can prove a negative. One could ask, "prove you don't abuse your (insert name)and it would also be impossible. One can turn the question around though to be logically meaningful. Prove to us that he IS a front man. Do you have some meaningful evidence that he is?? Have you been holding out or is it just a touch of anxiety?

Fan will prove himself not in PR's but in his actions. Shutting down the Burbank office is an action that saves money. Getting rid of most of the old exec team is an action that I see as major shift in direction from the old way of doing (or not doing) business. As you see, his first actions have been positive, now we wait to see what he does next.

Willie, this is just my opinion. Right now Frank is not the focus of my thoughts, rather recovering or even profiting from a fairly large investment is my focus. IMO Frank can wait his turn. I'm just really glad he's gone and that an apparently successful business man has taken over the helm.

Semper - I agree that the web posting is not proof of anything. However, I don't believe it contradicts the other posts either. In either post there is no mention of changing from Q or that it is uncertain the games will be televised or that they are in negotiations, etc. They do say the "details" are being worked out. Those details could be referring to how much total air time they will get, when will it be scheduled to show, if any is live, how much and which events. And so on.

A positive spin without doubt but nevertheless still possible IMO.

I believe that you both are missing the point. Or at least from my viewpoint. While totally in agreement with the posts regarding FO's numerous shortcomings, it was both tiresome and depressing to see those same thoughts repeated ad nauseum. It is/was the constant repetition of all those negatives, deserved or not, that is irritating.

I, for one, do not regard the intervention of Mr. Fan as a panacea. There are still many ways for this gamble to go south. Nevertheless, I am willing to wait and give him a chance. After all, at this point I don't believe we have anything to lose beyond what's already been lost.

I wouldn't mind a "small" r/s. Its one of the reasons I added at these prices. I wanted enough shares to cushion the effects of an r/s as much as possible. If it happens I'm better off than I might be, if it doesn't then I'm sitting pretty. Of course, there is a third option that we shan't discuss. I could still end up losing it all along with the bit extra that I used to boost my share count. LOL

I would like to only point out one thing. That is that unless they do things totally different, a March newstand date would mean that the mag was probably put together and sent to the printers nearer January than last week. That being the case, we all knew at that time that Q was in trouble. Today, our hopes are that this Fan fellow and his associates can pull Q out of the fire and at least save something for the shareholders. Fan would not have even been in the picture for an article that we are seeing soon IMO.

Additionally, we now see posters on his case because we are still at zero bid. For crying out loud if that is a reality check, who needs it.

As to my ship having sailed, perhaps this one has or has not. No matter because my money is in a fleet not a single ship. If this one sinks, well too bad, I knew that there was an excellent chance of that happening when I bought it. I'm not about to start crying over it.

Sounds like someone day dreaming out loud. As soon as I saw the part about NASDAQ I started chuckling. Especially when he/she talks about $1/share. I believe the current pps requirement is $5 to get listed and then $1 to hold onto the listing.

Jimi - if I had nothing significant left to lose, why not. I could sell and guarantee a loss or hold to see what happens. Despite everyone's theories derived 'logically' from whatever, there are still too many unknowns for me. I could rant and rave and demand answers but I doubt I would get them. So I wait, more or less patiently, for the next card to be dealt. Personally, I don't think it will be too much longer. Despite the reality of how important or unimportant the Gay Games may be, Frank has certainly hung his hat on them. By that time I expect (hope) I will have a clearer picture of where Q is heading. I've waited a couple of years so far, a few more months is not going to kill me.

Personally, I could not care less what happens to Frank. All I'm concerned with is something that will allow me to at least recoup a bit more of my cash than I could right now. Lets hope that we all will at least salvage a respectable part of our investment. With a cost average of 0.0009, who knows I might even make a buck or two in the long run.
