JJ, I'm confused...
I haven't once changed my mind about my belief in the technology, and in fact, I have nearly tripled my position since the post you were replying to. If you equate expressing confidence in this investment to "crying wolf", then I'm guilty as charged I guess, except crying wolf typically means one is claiming something bad which they know to be false. If I thought the eventual success of this investment will be a falsehood, I certainly wouldn't have tripled my position in the past year and a half. I'd buy more now if I had the funds.
Also, whereas "crying wolf" means claiming imminent disaster, it is the wrong metaphor to describe someone who claims to be anticipating success.
If you are implying that I should be ignored for believing in the technology, feel free to put me on you "Ignore" list. We would probably then both be better off.
Message in reply to:
Showing whom should be ignored for they have cried wolf many times already
Side note:
If your selection of the word "whom" was an honest attempt at proper grammar, then you will appreciate this little tip:
The Difference Between Who and Whom
How can you tell when your pronoun is the object of a verb or preposition? Try substituting “he” or “she” and “him” or “her.” If “he” or “she” fits, you should use who. If “him” or “her” fits, you should use whom.
If you were merely being pretentious by using "whom" then I apologize for calling it out at all.
Whatcha diggin' for? That's pretty dated info you are replying to.
I try, but I definitely have my lapses as well. There are others who are more consistent with manners and consideration for others, who make this a better place (message board and planet in general) to be.
Just looked at his post history; nothing since 8/20. I hope all is well and he is just taking some time away, like so many others...
Not everyone always agrees on this board, but I for one still hope that everyone here eventually makes out exceptionally well with this investment and lives a long and healthy enough life to enjoy it.
IITF, if you're watching, feel free to just say Hi so we know all is well!
So who said they are doing a raise? All I saw was a little speculation on a message board. In the past, that alone has been sufficient to drive the PPS down because where we get so little actual news, speculation is often treated as gospel. Self-fulfilling prophecy here once again, all started right here.
Trixie was trading at $7.20 pre-market this morning, and now they are down in the $6.50's. Proves that pre-market is meaningless, so why is everybody so worked up about a couple short pre-market trades for Titan? I don't get it (not the first time I don't get it, but...)
A $55 buyout would be about (roughly) the same total as Mazor is selling for ($1.6B), given our current outstanding share count with warrants. Mazor offers a nice product but with relatively limited applications/indications, compared to a single port general/abdominal surgery device that we offer. Once we are on the market for as long as Mazor has, we should sell for at least several times that much.
Did you mean "as she sits now" as in if someone put that kind of money on the table today???
Message in reply to:
- We actually help ourselves out by doing what we can to get her to over 3.20. Every million shares added to o/s via traditional raises from here on out, LOWERS the final PPS upon a full buyout. I doubt it goes much above $55 as she sits now - the last thing we need is an o/s count at the end to be near 50M.
I hope it holds with enough strength to overcome the trend of dropping nearly a nickel in the last hour of trading!
I can't remember the last time we had a strong close... lately, nice rise either at open or during the day, and give half or more of it back after 3:00PM.
There's a rumor out there that the earth is flat...not round. I'm gonna put that one in the same bucket as a Verb/Trixie exclusive.
I will say if they both turn out to be true... well, I'm never going to China anyway. But I'd be surprised if either were true.
Message in reply to:
There is word out there that VERB surgical is partnering with Trxc....not tmdi. Not sure how credible the rumor is but just a heads up
My back yard is full of hatchets I've buried; I'll gladly drop yours into the next hole I dig! It would be a much nicer board if we could eliminate some of the more contentious relationships we have built; I'm as guilty as anyone of that, especially when my tolerance levels get low and frustration level gets too high.
I try to identify my opinions as such ("I think", I believe...") whenever possible, and delineate them from factual information or data when possible. I will try to continue to do so.
I don't think anyone has been bullied on this board more than I have by him, but I still try to remain objective about the information from any source.
I have been on board for quite some time with Verb as a digital surgery overlord if not as a competitor or a partner on the device side. My assumption had typically been that they weren't as interested in the hardware side.
My wife and I met with another (different one) of our iHub posters for coffee two weeks ago, and he is, in my eyes, one of the kings of due diligence for this market. I don't see it as my info to share since he has done (and continues to do) more Titan homework than I could possibly do; I will only say that we left the coffee shop with more confidence in this investment than ever before.
That always seems to be the case... PPS reacts to news hours before there is news. On the bright side, it appears to be interpreted as positive news, given the current bid!
Message in reply to:
Just saw this... bid ask are higher than mark....some people knew this ahewd of the announcement?
Times, I know it seems out of character for me to try to defend SPORT19, but I will say that he does put a lot of time and effort into his homework. There is a lot of information available and lot that is not available, causing each of us to try to fill in the blanks with what we believe. We all know what has happened (we get repeated history lessons multiple times daily on everything that didn't go as well as we wanted, and a few occasional reminders of what is going well). But none of us currently know what will happen. It is all speculative regardless of how much homework was involved.
Message in reply to:
Ah, Sport it’s like this. For those that know and have done the homework no explanation is needed, for those who don’t and haven’t done the homework no explanation will ever be good enough. You obviously haven’t done the homework.
A quick reminder... We are now at SEVEN cents pre-split, not six!

I'm not nervous about Dr. Advincula; I'm optimistic. Hell, we might even find out what Longtai is really all about! THAT is the question I want someone to ask today!
Message in reply to:
I'm a little nervous with Advincula being on the call. It creates flashbacks of the last time Estape was on there. We all know the "tweaks" that followed that call. I've been told that Dr. A is on there to discuss training and other SAB related matters. He was just in China recently. I believe doing Titans bidding. Not sure what to make of it.
Doing my Monday morning catch-up...
Still here, still long, never sold a share.
I did, however, give away 1000 shares. For my kids' birthdays, they each got a shiny new Roth IRA for their birthday gift, with 500 shares of Titan in each account. I told them its a birthday present that they can't unwrap for a few decades.
I don't see this week's con call as having any influence on share price, but I'd certainly like to be wrong about that.
To further that point, organizations like Stryker have vast and mature supply and distribution chains in place, easily capable of adding another product line.
Message in reply to:
Touché...yes the line is complimentary to their existing portfolio but it proves my greater point that Stryker's strategy is growth through horizontal integration. They have the capital and leveraging ability. Ortho is their strong suit but they also do endo scopes and equipment alongside OR room equipment/integration. It wouldn't be un-complimentary to acquire sport and it would give them a competitive advantage through 1. Owning the technology and 2. Leveraging ability to combine offers with other OR equipment for greater discounts, nettting more capital sales.
If you do plan to write to Mr. McNally, it may be worthwhile to conceive of a handful of salient discussion topics that you can propose as PR topics for a series of status updates. These could range from product development tasks to training statistics to clinical insights from the three sites to revised financial forecasts to regulatory preparation updates... lots of other stuff going on. There is so much activity happening in the background and we see very little of it. This level of unknown drives fear in investors, and... Voila! Six pre-split cents!
You may want to cc Mr. Barker at a minimum on those communications. It is much easier for one person to ignore something. If two or more people get it, they are compelled to look at it in case the other(s) ask about it or want to discuss it further. It could become a good topic of discussion at the next monthly board meeting.
I know they are limited to what they can say and how they can say it. Pre-FDA they can't make any clinical claims to the device capabilities, but they are allowed to report what it has actually done, which seems contradictory - if it did something, does that not mean it is a capability? But they have their legal team and regulatory gurus for that stuff. It costs money to put extra tasks on their plates, but I think those costs would be well spent if it can help drive the share price in the right direction.
Message in reply to:
Mustang - so true.
Hey, I may use this insight as the basis of my next letter to McNally and team. No. 8. - no response....
Hey I liked his road shows - etc., especially with info from strasbourg testing area. But - we are still at 6 cents, so more of that info from the other sites, and such could only help moving momentum up. It's been so long since a positive SP trend, driving me to drink (waiting for Vegas - before I'm in a home)
They can't realistically announce formal Design Freeze as an official event until they are close to regulatory submission, but even if they could give us a temporary statement like "Titan believes that the current design is as close as possible to the final design and we anticipate that any subsequent changes will be minimal in scope and will have at most a very limited impact on regulatory filings" would be nice. Maybe Mr. McNally and crew don't want to take the wind out of the sails for a conference call, but I'm thinking that a steady flow of smaller news and status updates would help keep PPS at least a LITTLE closer to levels which could merit warrant exercise, and help stave off the next otherwise inevitable dilutive raise.
Message in reply to:
Probably until the design freeze announcement.
Quid, regardless of whether your posts are positive or negative about any particular Titan topic, you explain yourself well and always offer valid input, info, and opinions to this board. You've often been the voice of reason in this chorus of chaos. Keep singing!
These are actually not for me; my kids will be 21 and 23 in two weeks and I just opened them each a Roth IRA that I am seeding with 500 Titan shares each, to get their retirement efforts started around the same time as their careers. I'm sitting on my 26,300 shares for now.
I'm waiting for funds to clear in two accounts so I can buy more. That means price will shoot up right out of the gate this morning so when funds are cleared, I can't get as much as I hoped for.
Is CMR a private company, and in debt up to their eyeballs? If not, how much dilution did they just stick their investors with? I'm not in the investment world, so I don't know what this Series A and Series B stuff is all about.
At this point, my only reason to read this is to see how much damage folks are trying to inflict on us! Entertaining only to the extent that a horror flick is entertaining.
Message in reply to:
Entertaining as usual fellas. It's the only reason to read this board nowadays. Keep up the good work!
Well, this explains a lot! We all had our suspicions...

I believe that you be a fact, I got him and Bruce to bye a fraction of what they should have.
I make them buy and gigs can make the stock move lmao!!
Hey see you at home later! Fluff the pillow
Will do, and right back atcha! And I'm sure we'll have a much happier day than anyone calling Mr. McNally "stupid" this morning for buying shares of Titan stock.
Message in reply to:
Keep the faith Brother. I see what you see.
Playing catch-up again...
Patent is all good; mentions incorporation of the "range finder" system which had been touched upon somewhere earlier. Amadeus had haptic feedback, so no surprise that SPORT could have it at some point if it is deemed desirable (Senhance does have it also and might be useful for determining if surgeons like it or find it annoying). Might as well cover it in the patent. And the way patents work, whoever is paying the bills owns the idea and gets their name on it. Some engineering firms will share credit with some of the engineering staff as a little perk, but others don't. The more amazing thing to me is how quickly it passed through to approval. Mr. Brar is still on top of his game!
"Digital surgery" means using digital technology to aid in surgery, a.k.a. computerized robotic surgery. Verb uses the phrase "digital surgery" but so does Trixie, and Titan, and probably a few other players. If it means we are being bought by Verb, then we are waiting in line until after Verb buys Trixie because they were on the market first. If Verb buys Trixie, then I'll start to wonder if Titan is next.
And yes, Mr. McNally bought shares, probably because there was continued public pressure for him to do so. All that pressure was here on iHub as far as I can tell. But it seems he didn't buy enough to appease the iHub crowd! That's on you! Do your job better... tell him how many shares he needs to buy to make you happy, and maybe he'll give you that for a Christmas gift. Work together to agree on a number and provide a reasonable substantiation for it. Back up your chosen number with real, rational reasons as to why it makes sense for him to buy that number of shares. See what happens! If nothing else, it might be a good team building exercise for iHub posters so that when something more important happens, you will be better prepared to work together and improve our collective lot. One or two of you will rise up as leaders of this effort and test your management skills. Others will learn to contribute in ways which garner respect and legitimate consideration. More will learn the art of compromise. All of us might learn more about rules and requirements of insider trading in the process. I'm not saying he will buy that many, or even buy any more ever again. But I think a reasonable man would listen to a reasonable, logical, well-crafted proposition and take it into consideration.
I'm not sure about that yet; I haven't had time to read through the patent yet. I do recall that they were working on a related piece of IP in which it appeared could superimpose circles on the video on the surgeon console screen to indicate the range of motion of the end effectors. By your description, this sounds related.
However, I will gladly defer to either those who have had the opportunity to review the patent in depth, or to any surgeon who wishes to add to the discussion with how beneficial this might be!
Message in reply to:
66 correct me if I’m wrong. This patent sounds like the camera detaches and is inserted by hand and captures an image which detects all parameters Ie.. distance from organs, size of abdominal cavity and sends it to the computer which creates a grid and Knows the exact distance all organs are from the insertion area and won’t allow the deployment of instruments and camera to come into contact with organs or arteries and injure the patient? Not only is it used for insertion but could it also shows the surgeon at all times where the instuments and camera are located in the abdomen. Isn’t the insertion the biggest problem in robotic surgery and possibly this new system would have WAY less problems getting past FDA and CE now that this problem is non existing?
If we judge by the impact the patent news has had on price per share...
We're up about .056 with 21.7M shares outstanding. Apparently, the patent has a total value of approximately $120,000. I would surmise its actual value should have been at least several million.
Revision: We're now up about a dime, so $217,000 appears to be the market value of the patent.
Glad I could help!

Do you have EIT blocked?
If you don't eat horse poo to begin with, you wouldn't be at risk of puking it up.
Message in reply to:
I would puke up mustang poo.
They cannot legally promote the product until it is FDA approved (or CE Marked for EU). It isn't a matter of reach; it's a matter of law. They are building their patent portfolio; it's not as if they have been around for 20 years like ISRG. Any idea how their patent portfolio stacks up against Trixie? Most of Trixie's are European patents they bought along with the hardware design which nobody in Europe would buy.
If we're all screwed, then why are you here?
Message in reply to:
If a major partner was taking an ownership stake in this emerging technology, do you think they would be able to expedite this procurement process? Is there anything they could do to reach out directly to buyers and promote the product? But you're right; Titan doesnt have that kind of reach. It's a penny stock that is playing off old news, not nearly enough patents, not nearly enough funding to compete with billion dollar established monopolies. We are all screwed
I'm down more than that, but I haven't LOST more than that. He only lost if he sold.
Is it irony or just coincidence that you want Titan to have a relationship with VERB, but I would be happy to have a PREDICATE device!
(Apologies to the non-grammar-nerds out there... but three or four of you might get a chuckle!)
Yeah, I agree... I wish we had such visionaries at the helm. After all, Trixie did a reverse split to uplist, and then did repeated raises despite lots of dilution. Gosh, I wish Titan would do that. Oh, wait... Never mind.
I guess if you are so proud of their handling of a company with a sub-par product, you should really be singing Titan's praises! Same pathway but far superior product!
Message in reply to:
Folks you can say what ya want about Trixie but I would take Pope / Slattery all week long and twice on Tuesdays over JH and RR and possibly even Mc. That device (Senhance) is subpar IMO and look what they have done. THAT is the kind of Mgt team you must acknowledge !!
If they don't do what they say they are doing, I would be disappointed at some level. If they were to explain what was actually happening at that time and why they missed those hypothetical milestones, there may be cause for concern or it may just be another hiccup in the development or regulatory process (ask Medtronic if this is reasonable - Hugo slipped about a year at last estimate: https://www.mddionline.com/does-medtronic%E2%80%99s-delay-ensure-intuitive-will-stay-top). It happens. Medtronic offered a fairly vague explanation, which I found disappointing but at least they offered something. Given the money backing Medtronic, I would guess the announcement was an attempt to minimize actual impact, and when the one year rolls around, they can then announce "We're almost there!" to stall a few more months. And this is from a Medtronic team that has primarily been a cohesive unit for years, bumping their schedule by a year.
Since I'm trying to predict where you were planning on going with this line of inquiry. Mr. McNally's team had just taken over, and started to gel as a team when they re-evaluated the progress and direction of the prior team and then announced their smaller-than-Medtronics schedule slip last year. As a medical device engineer and a program manager, I understood what was happening and it made complete sense. Another slip moving forward will be more difficult to forgive without a more detailed explanation.
I don't believe that I am unrealistic in my assessments or expectations of the Titan program. I have said (and I am only repeating it for the sake of thoroughness in my explanatory answer to your question) that I am disappointed in our current PPS and that I personally don't know what they realistically could have done differently, so I am not beating them up for it, unlike so many people here. Could they have done things differently? Of course. Would it have made things better or worse? Impossible to tell. Even PR's to support share price right now could be interpreted as negative or even desperate, because most applicable information that is appropriate for public release is already publicized in some form, whether AGM video, prior press releases, prospectus, pre-clinical publications, or wherever. Saying the same thing over and over is superfluous, unnecessary, and detrimental - they might as well be posting here on this message board!
TransEnterix, Inc. (NYSE American:TRXC) announced today that Todd M. Pope, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Joseph P. Slattery, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present at the 13th Annual Wells Fargo Securities Healthcare Conference at The Westin Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts. The presentation is scheduled to take place at 3:05 PM Eastern, September 6, 2018.
And while they're in Boston, they are going to try to sell a few Senhance systems as boat anchors. Very optimistic. With haptic feedback the anchors can actually FEEL the fish as they swim by!
I thought you'd been doing a good job lately... Sticking up for what's reasonable. Keep the faith!
BigT, do you know if institutional investors may have been privy to any other info regarding possible strategic partnership? Or would that be considered insider info and disallowed by rules?
