Thanks White - BTW it's always appreciated if you can also provide the direct link to your interesting posts. Allows one to "consider the source" as well as the context.

Go D.C. indeed Skunks!
Now a next question is, if a PR did finally come out in the next 21 days (see CNN article), do P.R. and J.F. immediately head down to the studio with their flocks and start marching around it with placards while television crews from around the country are filming away ... Hey wait a minute!!!

When a PR does come out - Better look out!!!LOL

TLV - I appreciate your comments and can relate but I did receive some complaints about the interchange. Rather than delete selectively I thought it was best to delete the thread so as to offend everybody equally.
We've got a choice here as I see it.
What's to be gained if we become RB's mirror site for frustrated RB posters, the only difference being the blue background? Don't forget that what comes with the full spectrum of commentary is all our dirty laundry, and there's plenty of it, sent all around the world at the speed of light for up to six billion people to read, including potential venture capitalists, our prospective advertisers, customers, TV cable and satellite carriers, and the like all to read.
I've been to the studio and was told that this stuff makes their job a lot tougher. So what's the point in sending it out twice?
I'd kind of like to have this investment succeed. I hope you do as well.
I'll delete this message in a couple of days too.
Thanks for your comment and I hope you'll continue to read and contribute here.
Folks,
I've deleted a block of posts to try and get some civility back. Not trying to single anybody out, but indicting people, washing dirty laundry in public - that belongs at the Bull OK. This place is supposed to be a refuge from all of that - I hope everyone affected understands.
Thanks - Ron

Just another roadside clue as to how monumentally well positioned Triangle is to ride the coat tales of this rapidly changing world...
"...Jolie says she's not dating and misses certain aspects of being in a relationship, but hasn't found anyone — male or female. She's made no secret of having had an affair with another woman.
"I consider myself a very sexual person who loves who she loves, whatever sex they may be," she said.
Her one relationship with a woman happened in 1996. "I wasn't looking to have a relationship with a woman. I was surprised when I suddenly found myself having these feelings I always had for men, but for a woman, and wanting to kiss her and wanting to touch her...
...In two weeks Angelina Jolie will save the world again in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. The sequel to the wildly popular original Tomb Raider is expected to be among the summer's hottest movies..."

What a coup if TTN could entice someone like the extremely amiable and articulate "Tomb Raider" to be its spokesperson! Take a look in case you missed the actual interview:

Angelina!!! will be interviewed on "20/20" tomorrow night (Friday). Looks like 10 PM PDT, at least on the West coast.

Geez - I wonder if we're in the market for a spokesperson...

Could very well be Foxy - There's hundreds of examples to show that anything can happen in the SM as you know. Meanwhile, I see your S.F. gay pride story, at 750,000 people, found another 250,000 who showed up, compared to mine at just 500,000. (I guess it's easy to misplace a quarter million people LOL.)
Anyway, just for fun, here's some year 2000 population estimates of middle sized U.S. cities I found on the web:
San Jose, Calif. 894,943
Indianapolis, Ind. 791,926
San Francisco, Calif. 776,733
Jacksonville, Fla. 735,617
Columbus, Ohio 711,470
Austin, Tex. 656,562
Baltimore, Md. 651,154
Memphis, Tenn. 650,100
Milwaukee, Wis. 596,974
Boston, Mass. 589,141
Washington, DC 572,059
Nashville-Davidson, Tenn. 569,891
El Paso, Tex. 563,662
Seattle, Wash. 563,374
Denver, Colo. 554,636
Charlotte, N.C. 540,828
Fort Worth, Tex. 534,694
Portland, Ore. 529,121
Oklahoma City, Okla. 506,132
Tucson, Ariz. 486,699
New Orleans, La. 484,674
Las Vegas, Nev. 478,434
Cleveland, Ohio 478,403
So if your story is the more accurate, as many people as living in either San Francisco itself (776,733) or in
Jacksonville, Fla. (735,617) turned out.
If mine is closer, we have to make do with either Tucson or Oklahoma City it seems LOL.
Either way ... Datsalottapeople LOL!

The Gay City
BY EVELYN RUSLI
Of The Examiner Staff
Gay, lesbian or just curious, an estimated half-million people came out to celebrate the 33rd annual San Francisco Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Parade on Sunday, the largest such procession in the nation.
The event was themed "You Gotta Give Them Hope," in honor of Harvey Milk, who coined the phrase and was one of the first openly gay elected politicians in the country. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Milk's assassination.
More than 160 groups were part of the lineup, which began at Beale and Market streets and worked its way up to Civic Center.
Leading the pack was the Women's Motorcycle Contingent with 500 female bikers. The organization, known as Dykes on Bikes, featured hundreds of lesbian couples and bikes decorated to the hilt with everything from the traditional rainbow banner to Pink Panther motifs.
"We want to show that we are proud to be dykes," said Jake Calabro, a WMC organizer. "Today is exciting, powerful and it's the one day I can feel really free."
Marchers were not the only ones excited to revel in the day's sense of freedom and acceptance of alternative lifestyles. Many spectators dressed for the occasion with gender-bending outfits, exotic costumes and sometimes little more than their birthday suits.
"The gay pride parade really allows me to just walk around and be free with myself without having to worry," said Shane Farmer, a resident who donned a rainbow flag as a cape.
Credit for the greatest display of LGBT pride -- or at least the largest display -- belonged to the Rainbow 25 organization that carried Gilbert Baker's half-mile-long rainbow banner with the help of more than 300 volunteers, according to Rick Carlton, a safety monitor.
The focus was not only on LGBT concerns, as various organizations used the parade as an opportunity to voice their opinion on a wide spectrum of political issues. On and off the streets, protesters covered everything from Bush-bashing to calling for the legalization of marijuana.
Political protests turned potentially violent when a group of marchers dressed in black and pink bandanas harassed Supervisor Gavin Newsom and approached his car. Police arrested five women and one man and they may be charged with possession of a deadly weapon because some of the signs the suspects carried were attached to copper pipes, according to Bay City News.
Overall, the spectators were peaceful and the police were able to maintain order.
"The crowds have been pretty much easy to deal with," said Officer T. Mullins. "There are at least two to three officers per block and up to six to eight officers at major intersections."
At the end of the parade, marchers and spectators convened at the celebration site at Civic Center, where blocks of vendors, local organizations and live entertainment lined the street. The main stage featured the Tony-award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday and performances by Queer Cheerleading Squads, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and the Lesbian and Gay Freedom Band. There were also a number of makeshift dance floors where local DJs provided alternative sources for entertainment.
The celebration came on the heels of major advancements for gay rights, namely the Supreme Court's ruling to affirm the privacy of lesbians and gays and Canada's recent decision to legalize same-sex marriages.
"We are all very excited about the ruling and this year we really have something to celebrate," said Jennifer Mork of the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Celebration Committee.
Anybody else catch the in depth discussion the other night on Ted Koppel's "Nightline" concerning the implications of the recent Canadian same sex marriages plus gay friendly U.S. Supreme Court ruling?
Due to this topic's extreme polarizing effect, it seems very clear that this controversial topic is going to be on the forefront of public consciousness and discussion for many years to come.

TMM back to regular-season hours in mid Summer?
Happy 4th all! - A few weeks ago QBID announced shortened summertime hours. (Not unusual for P.S. businesses this time of year.) Yet, the after hour phone recording now says that their new summertime hours will be 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM starting next Monday, 7 July. Could recent developments be the reason?

Point taken John,
The authors do present some data at the end indicating that the margin of error is theoretically +/- a few percentage points, but also point out other possible larger sources of error.
I think I was reacting more to their title which was: "Seven in Ten Adult Americans Support U.S. Supreme Court Overturning Same-Sex Sodomy Laws"
But you're right - I should have softened it.
Good catch - Ron
All - Is QBID on the right track or what...
Huge gay pride celebrations occurred all across the country (and even in places around the world) this weekend as a result of the Supreme Court striking down Texas' anti sodomy laws that discriminated against gays:

Last Sunday a gay pride parade in Sao Paulo, Brazil drew 800,000 people (that's enough to fill eight Super Bowl stadiums!).

And last month a survey showed that 74% of Americans favored the Supreme Court's (eventual) ruling:

QBID: Hi Arch - Many months ago they almost did a deal with the "DISH" Network but it didn't work out.
At the time QBID had placed a beautiful full page, four color display ad in the Denver Post but it couldn't mention DISH. (I used to have my own copy.)
Frank thinks very big about such things. If he does this kind of thing again, and includes Time Warner Cable in the ad, as is rumored he now has permission to do, you're very right.
Stand back!
Ron
QBID volume way way up - Check it out. There may be a reason.
Ron
Yep - It's a much faster moving world now isn't it.
If you saw "Walking with Cavemen" recently - Even though they had a million years to play around with (that's 365,000,000 sunrises and sunsets), one early species of man couldn't even figure out the utility of attaching the hand axes they had fashioned to the end of a stick.
They eventually died out...
Agreed Foxy,
Plus you've no doubt seen the very recent stories about how same sex marriages will henceforth be legal in Canada.
The timing of the QBID and Canadian developments seem to be within just hours of each other.
Could they be related?
Is it possible that TW, seeing this, was suddenly hit hard in their bottom line with the realization that a huge new Tsunami of public sentiment was sighted heading South...in which case someone remembered - Hey, don't we already have something fully developed and waiting in the wings that will enable us to immediately resonate with this tangible proof that the next new revolution in how social interactions are viewed was fully underway?
Ron
Very interesting find Emit. Once upon a time, the implications of something as important as this relative to QBID would stir up lots of discussion.
If we ever launch it still could. I guess I'll leave it there for now.
But, regardless, thanks for the posting.

Last week satellite radio provider SIRI announced that they will be launching a 24/7 GLBT radio channel.
http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/030415/leisure_sirius_1.html
It's intriguing to ponder if SIRI isn't really promoting a dual strategy. Besides targeting an underserved segment of the population, SIRI's new broadcasts may very well also be part of an aggressive strategy to start closing the gap on their much larger and more established competitor XMSR.
http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/030423/1411001335_1.html
If true, this kind of thinking certainly bodes well for QBID's TV network (if they could just get launched, of course).

Apparently, there won't exactly be a shortage of excellent material if we can just get going.
From today's (3/10/03) "Back Page" on the TTN site:
"The Bent Lens
Alyson Publications, the nation's premiere publisher of books for the GLBT community, has just published THE BENT LENS, over 2,500 listings (of) films giving aficionados and film makers unparalleled access to some of the best gay and lesbian films from around the world. The films are listed A-Z and include features and documentaries and there are listings of over 500 film distributors and sales agents. Authors Lisa Daniel and Claire Jackson are directors of the Melbourne Film Festival."
Please folks...friends...
It doesn't make much sense to come unglued here, particularly at a time when we may be realizing the final phase of what we're all hoping for.
What information we've got to share here - Please let's do it peacefully in the spirit of working together towards a common goal, OK.
And remember. "You can always catch more bears with honey than with vinegar."

Just suppose...
"...Now, Pink Sheet stocks are getting more scrutiny from some Wall Street pros who see unrecognized values here. Hill Thompson Magid, one of the larger market makers -- meaning they pair buyers and sellers -- in Pink Sheet names, is getting more and more calls from closed-end mutual funds and hedge funds that want to invest in obscure companies with attractive valuations, says Nick Ponzio, president of Hill Thompson..."

QBID - Planets almost perfectly aligned now.
Everybody is already in a row except for little Mercury who needs to catch up and get in line. And reports are coming in from various quarters that the little speedster was last sighted coming round the final bend on the way to join his big brothers and sisters.
Share price just now being to quake (as of last Thursday 6 Feb) as result.
For a rundown of why this may be happening, see the IBOX at the link below:

The probability of a near term launch of TTN now appears to be rapidly accelerating with each passing day.
However, the exact launch date may be secondary in relation to a jump in share price.
Logically, if we assume that the network will want to arrive at launch with a good-sized cadre of paying subscribers already in hand, it will want to explode (perhaps even nationally) onto the scene with some kind of advertising blitz well in advance of the launch. Now prior to the last attempt at launch, many of us personally viewed very attractive and expensive full page color display ads that TTN had placed in both the "Denver Post" and "Multi Channel News." So there is precedence for a national campaign of this scope.
The other side of the advertising coin is that there should be plenty of bucks coming back in from heavyweights wanting to promote their wares on the network itself. Would you think the following kind of guys will want in?
http://www.metrog.com/headline/articles02/200001_jaguar.html
Bet on it!

Wishing you too Toni, John, JC, and all the happiest of holidays too.
Been a bit nostalgic tonight remembering the old days when we all downloaded bingo cards and then gathered together to watch and listen transfixed as Ted and Misha cracked jokes and pulled out Bingo numbers. Then we all watched Auctions Television together with disbelief over the bargains.
This went on for many months, remember. And when we shifted gears, the number of stations carrying BTV and ATV was still expanding.
Whether we understand his style or not, our leader IS a genuine producer. He was producing in a major way back then, and notwithstanding a string of seemingly insurmountable obstacles that would have derailed a lesser mortal, he is still seemingly charging forward and on the verge of producing again.
I remain quietly confident that he can pull this off.
Ron
Notwithstanding that we've got to get launched first...
But with an apparent new wave of heavyweights coming on the scene, the potential for ad revenue certainly seems limitless - Ron

QBID: As you know Arch, this one's been like trying to kick start a 747 at 3 AM about twice a year for over 3+ years now.
Each time, when it seemed like the planets couldn't be more perfectly aligned, the lights on the tarmac would come on and you could almost hear the beginnings of a powerful turbine whine building in the distance ... but always this was followed almost immediately by major sputtering and fizzling sounds until all that remained was the chirp of the crickets once again.
Haven't posted in a while, and I'd prefer not getting into rumors that may not pan out yet another time again anyway.
But for those who used to follow this stock, I just wanted to point out that the planets seem to be inching back into that old familiar perfect alignment once again ... so unless you've given up completely on this one, it may not be a half bad time to start bringing your QBID DD up to date.
Because if that 747 ever just happens to fire up on one of these outings - Well there just might be quite a number of down and out and other investors who will find it difficult not being attracted to such a loud sound. (Anyway - you get the idea LOL.)
Best wishes - Ron

Skunksyard and Emit,
Great finds on "Corona" Skunksyard, with tantalizing implications for MeTV, TTN, and hopefully QBID too.
Just seems amazing that MeTV may be on the verge of having an exclusive on a broadband broadcasting technology capable of even furnishing HDTV quality programming via the internet.
This sure smacks of being equivalent to TTN landing a contract with a traditional TV cable company, but one that services the whole darn world!
This could lead to an awfully large number of paying TTN subscriptions one would think LOL.

The following is CLEARLY a threat to the smooth functioning of this board Joe!
"PS: To the moderators: If this message is deleted, it will continuously be reposted."
Also, there are three people on this board who can and do delete messages. We share that responsibility and act mostly independently and as called for. Obviously Matt's idea was for a more dignified kind of messaging center when he created IHub, and that's why he created the manager team system and the delete tool that comes along with it.
Now in your case, I received emails from two other people with complaints about your apparent motives here and it was this, in part, that prompted me to take action.
And since you brought it up, if I thought this situation was, or was heading for, a total flop I'd have shot out of here a long time ago.
Far from it. Deep downtrends and negativity are also the very stuff from which the sharpest turnarounds and greatest fortunes are made, particularly in small (read intrinsically high risk) stocks.
So if anything, with the kind of evidence that I see coming in, personally I'm just tickled to be here at this exact point in time. Suit yourself if you don't want in.
Ron
And I am here to tell you that your reputation and disruptive style on message boards precedes you.
Your last message sounds to me like a threat Joe.
Would you like me to bring this threat to the attention of Matt?
I agree. Pinksheets.com really is an enigma. For as long as I can remember, though only four decimal digits are provided on their individual quote pages, five digits are always quoted (but the least significant bit never varies from zero) in all that tabular data off their home page.
There is a mixed message here. I believe the convention is that you only show a zero as a placeholder indicator to signify that a digit is significant (and may become other than zero at times). Otherwise you leave it blank.
Of course, to cut down on inquiries, Pinksheet's may be purposely sending a signal to their readership that (at least they believe) nobody uses a fifth digit.
On the other hand, if a fifth digit really is accessible to retail customers, then inserting blanket zeros is a pretty glaring disservice IMO.
Ron
