mofran, no PM for me, but you are seeing what I see. I don't have enough data yet to draw those types of conclusions yet, but I'm looking.
SEC- Ex-Dividend Dates:
When Are You Entitled to Stock and Cash Dividends
http://www.sec.gov/answers/dividen.htm
Have you ever bought a stock only to find out later that you were not entitled to the next cash or stock dividend paid by the company? To determine whether you should get cash and most stock dividends, you need to look at two important dates. They are the "record date" or "date of record" and the "ex-dividend date" or "ex-date."
When a company declares a dividend, it sets a record date when you must be on the company's books as a shareholder to receive the dividend. Companies also use this date to determine who is sent proxy statements, financial reports, and other information.
Once the company sets the record date, the stock exchanges or the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. fix the ex-dividend date. The ex-dividend date is normally set for stocks two business days before the record date. If you purchase a stock on its ex-dividend date or after, you will not receive the next dividend payment. Instead, the seller gets the dividend. If you purchase before the ex-dividend date, you get the dividend.
Here is an example:
Declaration Date Ex-Dividend Date Record Date Payable Date
7/27/2004 8/6/2004 8/10/2004 9/10/2004
On July 27, 2004, Company XYZ declares a dividend payable on September 10, 2004 to its shareholders. XYZ also announces that shareholders of record on the company's books on or before August 10, 2004 are entitled to the dividend. The stock would then go ex-dividend two business days before the record date.
In this example, the record date falls on a Tuesday. Excluding weekends and holidays, the ex-dividend is set two business days before the record date or the opening of the market – in this case on the preceding Friday. This means anyone who bought the stock on Friday or after would not get the dividend. At the same time, those who purchase before the ex-dividend date receive the dividend.
With a significant dividend, the price of a stock may move up by the dollar amount of the dividend as the ex-dividend date approaches and then fall by that amount after the ex-dividend date. A stock that has gone ex-dividend is marked with an "x" in newspapers on that day.
Sometimes a company pays a dividend in the form of stock rather than cash. The stock dividend may be additional shares in the company or in a subsidiary being spun off. The procedures for stock dividends may be different from cash dividends. The ex-dividend date is set the first business day after the stock dividend is paid (and is also after the record date).
If you sell your stock before the ex-dividend date, you also are selling away your right to the stock dividend. Your sale includes an obligation to deliver any shares acquired as a result of the dividend to the buyer of your shares, since the seller will receive an I.O.U. or "due bill" from his or her broker for the additional shares. Thus, it is important to remember that the day you can sell your shares without being obligated to deliver the additional shares is not the first business day after the record date, but usually is the first business day after the stock dividend is paid.
If you have questions about specific dividends, you should consult with your financial advisor. You can also get information by going to your library and reading Standard and Poor's Dividend Record Binder.

SEC Definition of Naked Shorting:
Data Source: http://www.sec.gov/spotlight/keyregshoissues.htm
Yes, dividends will demand the attention of those who would normally never pay attention. This is a beautiful tactic. If those short don't pay attention there will be a bloodbath in a few weeks, one that will benefit those who have accumulated the dips and continue to hold - an enigma in the eyes of OTC mm's.
This I believe is what you're looking for:

I don't know if they can but I do know they didn't apply for any awards. It would be quite an honor to be recognized despite not being registered as an exhibitor.
Don't forget shorts are also on the hook to pay the dividends as well. So sad... (not).
The news is a thing of beauty, is it not? I was told by IR they were definitively filing notice of corporate action earlier this week and the PR Link was emailed me today as a response to my inquiry as to whether they followed through or not. Props to NTEK IR for their responsiveness and management for the concern they show for their shareholders. What more could one possibly ask for here, this is a monumental step here, a statement of sorts to prospective shareholders about the legitimacy and future of this company.
goldtrapper, Is there more to the SONY/FIFA 4K coverage that I don't know about (sorry if I should know)? Seems if the SONY route is the only 4K coverage, that it's not going to be a live 4k stream (see below) but rather a 4k post produced film. If SONY holds the rights to it, and NTEK doesn't have access to those rights, the world cup may not do much for us directly. ANY 4k coverage of any major sporting event ultimately helps us but I'm not seeing a direct connection here to NTEK being able to stream coverage.
FIFA will leverage Sony’s professional 4K equipment within its 4K live production workflow processes at the 2014 FIFA World Cup to film one match from the round of 16 (to be held on 28 June), one quarter-final (on 4 July), and the final (on 13 July) at the Estadio Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. Sony will be providing extensive technical support to FIFA, including the development of a 4K live production system. Sony’s products and solutions, including its CineAlta™ 4K live camera “PMW-F55”, 4K multi port AV storage unit “PWS-4400”, 4K LCD monitor “PVM-X300”, and 4K multi-format switcher “MVS-7000X”(subject to change), will be used to film the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. The filmed 4K footage will be compiled into the Official 4K Film.
Pivotal day here for the PPS IMO, a close above the 20dma (.09) would look great. Go NTEK!
As you've stated, the big problem is that no one is selling, only accumulating at these levels. The huge problem comes when the big PR's start disseminating from NTEK headquarters. Being short on shares will take on a whole new level of meaning for mm's at that point. They are backed up against a wall and they know it. This is as they say, a conundrum.
I was told they were expecting to file notice of corporate action this week with finra.
Looking for a nice green close of at least .089 or higher today. We've been trending higher lows since 3/6/14. It's time to break north again.
IMO you've drawn some pretty level headed conclusions, GLTY.
IMO it's coming but i don't think tomorrow. I anticipate another letter to the shareholders in the near future. If they were able to announce the box store retailers I'm sure they would and I'll bet they've simply "been busy". Shareholders haven't received their np-1's yet - why announce a release before orders the pre orders are filled?
"Our employees are also shareholders in the company and we all benefit from a strong share price. We are also long term shareholders and see NanoTech as an investment and not a day trading stock. We value our shareholders and we feel that by building a well-established, diverse, profitable company, we will all benefit in the long term in both the form of dividends and share price increase." -NTEK

4K support on any Android device would be a joke. The hardware isn't fast enough to run the android interface at 4K. I don't doubt that SOME aspects of 4K could work (Some 4K encodes maybe depending on the capabilities of the Qualcomm chip they used) but to seriously expect real 4K support at this stage of Android life cycle is rediculous.
For Amazon, it's best to not support 4K than to say they do then have users find the 1000 instances that I know 4K won't actually work on the FireTV. It's a $100 device. 4K gaming isn't a possibility, 4K interface would be way too sluggish, and 4K movies would only work in such a small set of circumstances it wouldn't be worth it. So no. No 4K.
Ntek letter to shareholders addresses many questions regarding the np-1:

Lol, "later this quarter could be tomorrow". Ok we clearly think like polar opposites, wow. Also, I have more info on the Akamai connection and the nab that has been shared here, why? Because I like to do my own dd and actually reach out to ntek and companies they are affiliated with but don't always feel the need to regurgitate it here on the hub. When I'm fishing for info because I can't get straight answers I sometimes fish here.
pre orders- Have you had your cc charged yet or not? Anyone? Does that mean your order is not confirmed and/or processed? Have you bothered to ask ntek about that? Please share.
New orders - later this quarter, I'm thinking many other pre-orders may fall into the later this quarter category too.
According to IR, all orders that have been confirmed have had their cc's charged. .. And, the software is pre installed at the factory.
So have your orders been confirmed via email or is the point of the email to notify you that you will be confirmed in 7-10 days.
End of quarter and later this quarter seem pretty close to me, it doesn't to you? I may be around my 15th post FYI. I'm pro ntek here but prefer to call a spade a spade. If you want to mince words, I do understand the psychology of defending a stock you are long in on ihub. Just conversing about reality. GLTy.
I do not post false information. How do you read this (from today's pr):
"Nuvola NP-1, the world's first consumer streaming media player that supports 4K Ultra HD content, is currently in production and will be available for new customers later this quarter..."
I read that as another delay, how do you see this?
I know my sarcasm must not have come through too well. What gives right?
Well you certainly have laid out why I haven't sold my shares here but, are you telling me you've given ntek the ol "ray Charles" vote of confidence since Christmas? Not even a hint of doubt or frustration? Better man than I. Ir will tell you cc have been charged because why would they process orders without getting paid first? Sounds reasonable yet no one has had a cc charged here. So does the email mean they are going to be processed in 7-10 days? We are going to see. This is not one little delay we are talking about, it's been ongoing since December. Now according the last pr they won't be out until end of quarter. You mean to tell me you aren't curious as to why? And haven't considered that there may be an issue with the production? Until they give more info it's a possibility. Likely or not. If you are a shareholder and don't want to know why, I have a bridge I want to sell you.
Don't ask questions like that, we are just shareholders who invested our hard earned money into ntek, it's not polite or warranted. The only information we get is - next quarter. That's not info, that's frustrating and somewhat insulting.
I have asked the question to ir and am not getting any clear answers. I've received two responses, neither of which address the cause of the delays. If you are a shareholder, you are likely a reasonable and intelligent person who can look at pr's and what's happening in reality with the np-1 and make the determination that we don't have enough data to answer these questions. For a company that is as transparent as they have been in the past the recent silence on the np-1 is concerning to say the least. I'm not sure why the information coming out of it is so cryptic and vague. I guess the answer right now is we will all have to wait, no questions.
Anyone get their cc charged yet? Why does this take so long? When the np-1 reaches ntek does it come with the apps and software pre installed, or is that something that is done at Foxconn? Trying to wrap my head around this.
Would it be a violation of a nda to come out and say to the shareholders the delay is because we are fulfilling a contract with another company who will rename unnamed due to a nda? This ought to be addressed by ntek.
Nice, now that we can put that behind us...
I watched and didn't catch any mention of 4k output. Are the specs out?
SMA20 starting to head gradually north.
Yeah! order filled at low, gotta love charts.
25K at .0865.
Yep, goin shopping today, order in. I'll be waiting..
They are, go ntek.
Didn't know amazon came out and said 4k. It's not being reported as a rumor from what I've read. You make some compelling arguments. If there's no correlation tomorrow it'll go down as one of the largest coincidences in tech history. Gonna be pissed if they are not related and the first to market with a viable 4k streaming option. Don't even want to think about it. Great post, member mark.
All very good points 2bornot2b. It would be difficult to understand. There's no question that if there were a connection between these two companies a NDA of epic consequences would have to be signed and perhaps an agreement to get the first of the np-1 shipments diverted to the oem agreement company post haste. If there is no connection I would understand the disappointment and/or frustration that may be voiced here tomorrow because no one has a clue why ntek has been so silent about the np-1 delays. Unfortunately, the longer ntek waits to spill the beans the more people will view the rollout as the holy catalyst for this stock to move. If they were dealing with apple as an oem then why would they be sending np-1 notices via email before apple is ready to release? And who knows, they could have struck deals with both companies for all we know. The problem is we don't really know, but tomorrow will fill in a piece of the puzzle one way or another.
If it does test low 2's I'll take a new position there, pretty much a guaranteed 100% short term return from those prices.
I haven't read anywhere that amazons new device has anything to do with 4k. If it does, it's going to be a surprise and we're all going to be scrambling to figure out if the technology has any links to ntek. I'm trying to not get excited over it but it has been interesting to read about. On a related but different topic does anyone think that if apple goes 4k with their next Apple TV box or monitor/TV that ntek became a player for oem due to the Foxconn link? Maybe a stretch.
If by blah you mean more bargain shares I'm in.
I found my free over the air digital channels were superior in quality compared to my cable network channels. I still watch the same sporting events I liked to watch via cable, except for free. Had no clue they were that clear, I'm using an antenna I paid $10 for off ebay which you can't even see as it's behind a picture frame in a shelf. There are search engines that will allow you to enter your zip code and you can see what channels are available for free in your area.
The NAB show is a b2b show and not a b2c show like the CES. I'd imagine they weighed the expense & benefit of having their own booth at the NAB against the benefits of simply having their product demoed and displayed by a 10.39 Billion $ Market Cap company like Akamai. That, plus we don't know what their announcements are coming this month which may benefit them more than anyone could have ever imagined compared to the benefits of a booth at the NAB.
