They were approved for a Land Use Permit. Their next step is application for a State Certificate of Registration. If approved at the State, they will be able to apply for a business license.
There will be no retail operation this year.
What revenue streams exist today?
The word sociopath came to mind when I first read it. Can you imagine being an elected official and receiving that crap in your in-box?
Yes it was that masked man who admitted his dastardly deeds beneath the article in the RGJ. Link below:

The SA slam was submitted by a different basher.
Only the commissioners know why they voted as they did. It was a series of eight rounds of private votes--a winnowing of the field.
Of course many have theories. I personally think the bashers crossed too many boundaries--slamming negatives onto the Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as emails. Add to that the SA opinion piece...
Yes, there is an article in the Reno Gazette Journal with the following quote:
"In a procedural move, commissioners “trailed” the 61 applicants who didn’t make the final 18. That allows the county to bring the applicants forward for consideration if cities in Clark County do not move forward with approval of medical marijuana dispensaries allowed within their boundaries."
I understand what you're saying. At the end of the process, when the auditor mediated, she seemed nervous most of the time. The back-n-forth discussions between auditor and board indicated they weren't clear on the process.
I doubt their assessment criteria would hold a candle to the state's criteria. I believe some will not fare well in the state's objective point system.
I would be interested in knowing if cost models were a consideration for dispensary applicants, and if they will be for cultivation applicants.
I would think the Commission would want MJ to be affordable to everyone.
Whoa! This is nothing but news. No recipient of the permits has received their state MME Certification or business license in Clark County. No one in this process can begin to sell until 2015. It's just news. We will be accumulating more and more news through the year.
Every company still has the gridlock in DC as the monkey on their backs.
Invest in the company with the infrastructure, fallback plan, business model, expertise, and loyal shareholders.
It's all good :)
So what went wrong? Possibilities are:
1) Rory
Nah! He was just doing his job.
2) Concerns over it being a penny stock
Nah! They selected a penny stock company.
3) Can't give multiple licenses to any one company, particularly TRTC, and there are already plans to give them cultivation.
Remains to be seen. Penny stock company that received permit also will receive cultivation permit
My main reason is the negative attacks on SA, and FB pages, tweets, and emails to Commissioners. It's a public relations nightmare for TRTC right now. They need to address it publicly.
Agreed and please note I cannot private message. I appreciate your insights :)
I can't read the responses because I don't subscribe...and never will. Can someone post Alan's response?
The GB Sciences Nevada LLC disclosure form lists all owners of this LLC with percentage of ownership. It does not list the public company name or the officer's titles on this form. They used the words Manager/Member under the Title column. It was authorized by James D. Hammer. The words (See Attached) are by the names of the three officers of GrowBLOX.
The attachment is the LLC org chart. The left side has two boxes--the top one contains the words GrowBLOX Sciences, Inc. (without the ticker) and the percentage 55%. The box directly beneath it contains the words Signature Exploration and Production Corp. (SXLP). Beneath the two public company names are the three members of the GrowBLOX board: CEO/CFO/Director.

Interesting Quote:

It appears this means there is a glimmer of hope if several are rejected by state or cities within Clark County
"Norman Gates" another code name for the likely author of the SA hit piece has several comments beneath this article. Below is a quote acknowledging he barraged the Commissioners:
"Norman Gates hosogo goto • 23 minutes ago
... They all got emails, tweets, FB wall posts and many more nuggets of information with useful due diligence to help with their guidance on evaluating Terra Tech Corp. just I have and will continue to do in every county, city and state in America because the information has been extremely valuable for my portfolio, especially today!"
Mr. Yuck from the SA Hit Squad might be Onkelsomebody, the terror of the TRTC board on Yahoo (the Message Board link is deactivated). However, if you Google TRTC Yahoo Stock, you will be able to access it from the search returns.
He has been posting the same core messages from today's SA piece incessantly. Don't confuse this character with Onkelsonebody (with an "n"), the person who has been countering his bashes.
I do not have the ability to send private messages.
This is just the beginning of a long process with many opportunities :)
Consider, too, that MME Certificates issued through the State process will allow them to apply for all future Nevada city/county permits/licenses.
No "hostiles" can impede the state process as the team of assessors will have no identifying company information.
Today is like any other TRTC day. The PPS will continue to be affordable :)
My sentiments exactly. I didn't expect a dispensary permit and have no concerns about fairness.
They seemed to be very focused on people who live in CC and give back to the community, ethnic representation, physicians as resources, marijuana growers, and location goals.
That SA opinion piece deserves a green "Mr. Yuck" sticker for its toxicity level. Hopefully, Derek will address each allegation (veiled as dark opinion) before attempting to navigate another government entity.
The person who has the power to speak for himself is busy with these hearings. The timing was designed to cause harm.
Hope everyone involved including the creators of the hydroponic business take legal action. There are many honest people getting hurt today.
Yes, we hashed over it too many times.
The "Emperor without Clothes" appears to be a projection of the coward behind this biased opinion piece.
It took a long time to build this hit, a lot of slanted research that never once involved the target. It is without a doubt the darkest behavior I have seen in the MJ sector.
To send it to the commissioners with the sole intent of destroying TRTC and its investors' portfolios is the lowest of lows.
Seeking Alpha never gained my respect, and never will.
P.S. I blocked "MonestHind" yet received notification of a message on my Smartphone. Why can that person see my postings?
Your linked article regarding the DEA's approach to doctors in Massachusetts is an example of how competing political agendas in Washington DC are playing out in states that legalized marihuana.
Until H.R. 4660 passes the Senate, with the marihuana provision intact, then signed into law by the President, everyone needs to remain cautious.
Below is a link to the President's perspective on H.R. 4660. I wonder why Senator Reid is not more visible on this legislation, how he plans to address the administration's concerns, and get this Bill through the Senate.

I personally wish there wasn't so much publicity because TRTC can stand on its own merits. At the same time, I believe many Nevada residents will buy stock upon permit approval and even more upon state approval.
The state assessment process is "blind" to those details. The assessors will only see responses to questions, not identifying details related to the company's name, etc.
I suppose if their proposed location is near people who fear the evil weed, a concerted effort to keep them out could have been presented by eight members of a church, extended family, or even a competitor for the permits.
Yeah..reading them will keep it in perspective.
Thanks!
I have no doubts at this point in time. Gotta love the 20% equipment discount :)
Thanks for the link!
Thanks for the summary!
Does anyone understand the card system? Are these submitted by the 80 something applicants or another source? Can anyone submit a card?
Yep...noticed their patterns awhile ago.
In addition to the eyes being opened, this board does not turn people away as so many others do. Kudos to the moderators for managing it so well, and to the serious investors who have meaningful messages.
Can you please speak for yourself? It is really, really rude to put words in the mouths and minds of other people.
If you are speaking with the permission of another, or reposting the words of another, please give credit where it is due by using their name(s).
Thanks!
Oh now I get it :)
Your mixed up name is a clue to the true intent of your messages!
You are transposing letters, words, concepts and otherwise just messing with people.
Welcome to the TRTC community of long-term investors!
Thanks for the "big picture" support for long-term investment decisions. I am investing in an OTCQB business with a market value of $109,399,772 (as of June 3, 2014).
We are well beyond the penny stock concept more aptly attributable to pump and dump pink sheet playgrounds.
Onward and upward!

Does your "analyst" have a name? I have seen really bad advice from "analysts" lately so it is very important to consider the source.
These hearings are strictly for a Clark County Permit. I believe we will know who receives the 18 Permits by end of next week.
Then the State process begins upon close of the 10-day application window which is early August. The State has 90 days in which to determine who receives "Registration Certificates" to operate a Medical Marijuana Establishment (MME).
2014 is the year we know whether TRTC can operate one or two dispensaries, cultivation facility, and production facility.
There are separate presentations for dispensary, cultivation and production.
This was the six-minute presentation for their dispensary application.
Apparently, you do not understand Clark County's process.
Today is the scheduled six-minute verbal presentation that follows their written application and supporting documentation.
Look at the April 22nd entry on their Facebook page to see the high-quality submissions for their cultivation and production facility.
You probably never came close to producing anything this extensive in your career. If you did, you would recognize they are winners.
They oozed confidence, demonstrated experience, expertise, and purpose.
If you missed it, look for video(s) on their Facebook page in the near future.
Application includes points

Also, here is informational text from recent article:
CARSON CITY, Nev. — People hoping to get into Nevada's budding medical marijuana business can apply for a state license in August.
The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health announced Friday that it will accept applications from Aug. 5 through Aug. 18.
Each application for a dispensary, cultivation or processing facility requires a nonrefundable $5,000 fee.
The agency will then rank all applications.
To guard against favoritism, the agency says applicants are prohibited from submitting their responses on company letterhead. Additionally, individual names of owners, officers and other principals cannot appear on certain pages of the application.
Applicants are eligible to apply whether or not they have applied for a license from a local government.
Property owners must also authorize in writing the use of their property for a medical marijuana establishment.

"...receipt of funds from companies engaged in..."
This is the most concerning and intriguing part for me because many MJ businesses buy from suppliers. Is the issue here interstate commerce as an "out" of the Eric Holder pass?
We need strong clarification from Federal Government.
