Patience folks ...
The quiet period is a good thing. No Ben, no Joe Noel and hints of partners visiting Kim and Notre Dame for meetings in early January, 2011.
Predictions of our first commercial production deal in the "first half or the first quarter" places a deal announcement between now and the mid-end of February, 2011.
The Team is in place all we have to do is be patient.
I direct your attention to the December 2010 CEO address followed by Joe Noel releases 1/4/2011 & 1/10/2011.

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories' CEO Issues Corporate State of Affairs Letter
12/07/2010
Dear Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Community,
For the past five years, I have been privileged to be a part of the legacy and vision of a truly revolutionary biotechnology company, Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, but this is, by far, the most exciting holiday season for members of the Kraig team and Kraig shareholders.
2010 has already been a tremendous year, as we have made scientific history with our development of twenty separate lines of transgenic silkworm. Among the products which we have invented and are producing in the laboratory is "Monster Silk™", a genetically engineered composite of spider silk and silkworm silk which is significantly stronger and more flexible than commercial silk. While we still have a few weeks to go in 2010, I wanted to share with you some thoughts about our corporate state of affairs, because I firmly believe that we are destined for even greater achievements in 2011.
We are rapidly moving towards commercialization and are solidly committed to executing a focused plan of developing strategic partnerships, as well as merger and acquisition opportunities, synced to our current technologies and the anticipated future generations of spider silk technologies. We have always believed that the shortest and surest path to commercialize the products we develop in the laboratory is through partnership with companies which already possess significant market share in our target markets.
Our aggressive commercialization plan benefits from the addition of two world class experts in corporate growth, Henry Wendt and Raymond Kutsunai, to the Business Advisory Board. I believe that their leadership and experience, especially in the area of mergers and acquisitions, will make a significant contribution to the commercialization of our breakthroughs in biotechnology and polymer science. I also believe that the addition of these outstanding team members confirms that we are headed in the right direction. We have also identified a potential Business Advisory Board member who has impeccable technical textile market expertise, and we anticipate making an announcement in the near future. (Dr. Cunning announced 1/24/2011)
Kraig remains on track for product optimization and commercialization. I believe that our partnership, merger and/or acquisition prospects are very strong. I also believe our aggressive business model strongly leverages the Company's position, and will reap exciting results in 2011.
At the same time I have taken steps to accelerate our research and development work in the laboratory to leverage what we have already invented and discovered into a second generation of new technologies. We anticipate that this second generation technology will be unveiled in 2011.
We remain committed to working towards the rapid commercialization of the most revolutionary products imaginable. 2011 will be an exciting time for Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, and I personally am anticipating the growth of our company in the New Year. Our shareholders have come to appreciate the patience and commitment required to make Kraig a world class technical textiles leader. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them, as well as our dedicated Scientific Advisory Board and Business Advisory Board, for their ongoing support.
Lastly, I extend my sincere best wishes to you and your families for the holidays. So, on behalf of Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, I would like to wish you a Happy Hanukah and a Merry Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous New Year!
Kim Thompson, CEO

A Quick Update on Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (KBLB)
by Joe on January 4, 2011
A Quick Update on Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (KBLB) – Below, are a few of our current thoughts on Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (KBLB). We remain as positive as ever relative to KBLB’s opportunities.
– There are a series of meetings this week between CEO Kim Thompson and Notre Dame laboratory personnel. We suspect these meetings are more than ordinary status update meetings and likely involves some third party – possibly one of the first relationship partners for KBLB. As we have said previously, we expect KBLB to soon announce its first commercial-oriented relationship. We believe this is likely to occur in the first half of this first quarter of 2011.

A Few Brief Updates – KBLB, OPMG, MDHI, YESD, PLPE, BMGP
by Joe on January 10, 2011
Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (KBLB) – We are expecting Kraig Biocraft Laboratories to announce its first partnership by the end of this month. We suspect this partnership is related to the silk production industry. We can easily see the shares gaining significant ground over the coming weeks and as this Company makes what we believe will be a meaningful announcement.
We continue to believe it is very easy to build an argument that Kraig Biocraft is worth significantly more than the $220 million market capitalization represented by our initial $0.40 per-share price target. When we issued research report, back when the shares were only a few cents, we placed a price target of $0.40 on the shares. We continue to believe this price target is likely too conservative. At $0.40 the total market capitalization of Kraig Biocraft is approximately $220 million. We believe this market capitalization is supportable relative to revolutionizing silk production for the garment industry alone. China exports between $3 billion and $5 billion of silk fabric into the garment industry each year. Having a technology that could easily affect only 20% of this market would impact approximately $800 million of revenues each year. Additionally, because this new type of silk is much more resilient than is ordinary silk, the size of the total market would likely expand as additional garment manufacturers integrated silk into their product lines. Kraig Biocraft remains one of our favorite companies.

The exclusive JV board of directors didn't like the staff recommendations and tried to low ball the deal ... they changed the terms and Ray said no deal based on the changes ... imho
that said I want to know the timing ... did the potential JV staff buy shares and dump them last week at a profit ... this smells ...
Why a 6 AM press release ... tipped off the bashers, shorts and JV investors. Twitter twits were all over this ...
Mom and pop got screwed the movers and shakers got to play.
the way I see it Ray sucks ...
Maybe Ray will replace those shares when we get to $9 ...
maintenance and margin calls hurt REAL people Ray ...

I would like to know from Ray Leonard when this deal went south.
Period.

Did it end yesterday afternoon and he got the STUPID idea to put out a 6 AM press release to screw loyal shareholders? He could have released it during trading hours and gave us a chance to evaluate the news for ourselves and have a level playing field.
Did the deal actually go south last week and he decided to sit on the news until others could get out of the stock with a profit then buy back lower?I hope this wasn't illegal ...
I think something stinks ... big time ... but that's just my opinion. I'm pissed.
I have to believe he has a plan "B" but he has already screwed the pooch for many retailers who couldn't afford to lose more on paper.
Lucky this isn't the Yahzoo board or I would really tell you how I feel.
Maybe Ray should get some IR/PR and strategic help ... it's obvious he needs it ... BADLY
Maybe he's a Russian operative ... making money from BOTH sides?
Something wrong with iHub?
I don't know if we make it to $5 today? Those institutional types usually like 'em above $5 ...

Some Thoughts
Okay,
I have been trying to scratch and sniff around as much as I can to get a better understanding about what is going on here. This is my understanding at this point:
The 3D time migration came in at the end of Dec. With this data it’s possible to get a better understanding of flat structures, but not ones like the turbidites, and possibly not the tilted fault blocks. The depth migration 3D results are due next week. It is these results that will be analyzed, given to NSAI for their opinion, and used to locate potential drilling sites.
In other words the time migration 3D might have only been used to get a preliminary look at the 4way closure area. Third hand information says that this looked great. So it is very unlikely that the 3D data played a part in this termination.
So what did? I am led to believe that when they signed the original letter of intent, the price and terms were defined. This is backed up by a comment Ray made saying that all that was left was for the potential JV's board to accept the deal.
I think, strongly, that the price and terms changed, most likely last week with the spiral down in the share price. I think the potential JV wanted a much larger % Working Interest, Ray and company said no, The JV did not blink, and Ray and company called off the deal.
In Ray's defense I think he is right in only going after the money he needs to drill. I think the deal the JV wanted was much higher than that, but forced HDY to give up too much of the concession.
Drilling:
In looking at the drilling contractor, I think I remember that they crow on their website that they can reduce the costs of drilling by 20%, I believe that could easily happen in this environment. The original 129M 3 well program can come in closer to 100M. If HDY were to keep 60% of the Working Interest through drilling, that is about 60M. They have 30 of that now in cash, so only need to raise 30M or so. Raising something like 80M now would unnecessarily dilute HDY’s interest at a too low value.
On the other hand, if they wait to get the Depth migration 3D next week, spend a couple of weeks looking at it, get a NSAI report on it, I would hope that they could get 500 – 550M risked barrels (my opinion), and a much better JV deal for less give away of the concession.
So that’s my thoughts, it’s not a great day, but when things change you have to deal with the world as you find it, not as you would like it to be.
KBLB has been in a prolonged quiet period and meetings were held in the first week in January. I'm sure Henry Wendt and Dr. Cunning were involved. Dr. Cunning's formal introduction, I believe, ends the quiet period and therefore I think news is forthcoming within the next several weeks. imho

As we have said previously, we expect KBLB to soon announce its first commercial-oriented relationship. We believe this is likely to occur in the first half of this first quarter of 2011.
- Phase II Microinjections Continue – To refresh everyone’s memory, the objective of Phase I of the science was to have spider silk proteins expressed in silkworm silk. This was achieved ahead of schedule with results that significantly exceeded expectations. The objective of Phase II is to utilize what was learned in Phase I in order to further refine the characteristics of the hybrid “ spider/ silkworm” silk. Microinjections involve the process of inserting the proper spider DNA into silkworm eggs. These Phase II microinjections have been taking place for the past few weeks and based on the normal lifecycle of silkworms some transgenics have likely been hatched. It should take several more weeks to determine if these new transgenic species are capable of reproduction and expression of the desired hybrid silk products. Is very clear to us that KBLB’s science is significantly advanced, as a result we believe the success of Phase II is highly likely.
- New Video Released – Last week the Company announced the availability of a new video, which features Kim Thompson explaining how KBLB got started, its objectives and its current and ongoing relationships with both University of Notre Dame and the University of Wyoming. A link to this video is included at the end of this blog posting.
- We expect expansion of the Company’s business advisory board. The first person offered a seat on the advisory board was Henry Wendt, who is the renowned former head of SmithKline Beecham. Mr. Wendt this well known for his abilities to grow organizations both organically and through acquisition. The second edition to the advisory board was Raymond Kutsunai, who is also a former senior executive at SmithKline. This executive, however, specialized in Asian operations where his business contracts are very expensive. It surprises us little that the Company selected Mr. Kutsunai as we believe they are preparing to forge a relationship with an Asian partner. We expect the Company to add one additional senior executive to this advisory board and we believe it is likely this additional person will have extensive experience within the technical textiles marketplace.
- We believe it is very easy to build an argument that Kraig Biocraft is worth significantly more than the $220 million market capitalization represented by our initial $0.40 per-share price target.
- We would also have to place significant additional value to Kraig Biocraft’s market capitalization relative to the technical textiles markets. DuPont Kevlar is a multi- billion dollar per year brand and spider silk could be competitive in several sub segments of the market. In our opinion, the value of the technical textiles markets for spider silk easily exceeds that relating to so production for the garment industry. On top of these two markets we would have to add some additional market capitalization for future medical related products and applications. While these are likely at least several years off, there are many medical equipment and biotechnology companies that would be willing to engage in long-term product development relative to these technologies.
- We remain very excited about KBLB’s opportunities.
Great news !!!

JB my brother you have the story down ...
Please go to the TTDZ board for my investment philosophy posted earlier today.
I own close to a million of these precious KBLB shares .04 - .08. Bought 26,000 @ .09ish today ... these are the new "cheap" shares.
I know graduate biology at the cellular/molecular level and ... this KBLB story is amazing. I'm buying for my children.
Kim is brilliant and will manage this business opportunity properly. Dr. Frazer is a very smart scientist but Kim in brilliant. When science meets MENSA legal/business it's a BEAUTIFUL thing.
Then Kim brings in Henry Wendt and Dr. Joe Cunning ... these guys are ICONS in their industries. Would these distinguished gentlemen risk their reputations on a whim? I think not.
We are golden ... maybe Dr. Frazer and Kim can find a way to make spider silk into GOLD !!! Looking forward to a great 2011 ...

Not to the average lab worker ...

Academic publishing of the process of piggybac sequencing or splicing in developing the silkworms that produce the silk would be ridiculous before obtaining full patent status or sealing business deals. imo.

I'm going on the record that the business deal preceeds or is released simultaneously with the Dr. Frazer published paper.

My style is to find stocks that I believe have the potential to be 10 -100 baggers in 0-6+ months. I'm a buy on potential and on the dips and hold until the "smoke" clears or I feel that things are moving forward and hold or doubtful pull out.

Good question ... that would require a little more DD and time. I think that KBLB could capitalize on the clothing, and householder fibers markets and sell GEN 2 or GEN 3 rights to a company such as DuPont ... best of both worlds possibly?

What do we get ?
$.10, $1.00 or $10 in the next 0-6 months ... I guess it's all up to the investors to decide if and when to buy based on their trading or investing objectives, right?
I'm in ... big, cheap & long. GO TTDZ

Well what do ya know, look where our Dr. Jarvis has consulted before!
Donald L. Jarvis, Ph.D.
Dr. Jarvis received both his B.S. and M.S. in microbiology at Idaho State University . He received his Ph.D. in Virology at Baylor College of Medicine. After earning his Ph.D. he trained in molecular cloning at Baylor. In 1987 he undertook postdoctoral studies on glycoprotein biosynthesis at Texas A&M. In 1989, Dr. Jarvis moved into an independent position at Texas A&M.
In 1998, Dr. Jarvis accepted a position in the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming . He received a professorship in 2000. Dr. Jarvis heads a research laboratory within the University's Department of Molecular Biology which focuses on biochemistry, biosynthesis, and practical genetic engineering applications. He has approximately eighteen patent applications and intellectual property licensing agreements to his credit, including biosynthesis technologies and technologies with potential applications for pharmaceutical production. He is the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles in the fields of biosynthesis, genetic engineering and biochemistry.
Dr. Jarvis's consulting appointments have included:
Novagen Corporation, Madison, WI 1996.
DuPont Agricultural Products, Wilmington, DE 1996-1997.
Invitrogen Corporation, Carlsbad, CA 1999-2002.
GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, Belgium, 2005.
I don't think that DuPont can let this technology get out of their control, I really don't ... just think of the advantage that they would have over ALL competitors by being first to market and use their global reach to promote the new fibers they would create.
I'm feeling really good about KBLB here ... really good.

EternalChamp that has been my thought all along as well. I wouldn't think that DuPont is going to let this new intellectual technology get out and possibly compete with or displace their KEVLAR market. imo.
I went to grad school at UD and very well understand the power and connections of DuPont the company and the family.
DuPont could stroke a check to buy the whole shebang lock-stock-and-barrel right now. I'm sure they would be interested in the intellectual property and the jobs that would go with employing their geneticists and scientists to take this to the next level. I'd take cash or DD stock and royalties for my shares ....
git 'er dun and let 'er run ...
Looking for an announcement sooner than later.
