Rooter: What do you mean, re. SBMI?
Rebel: are you still in SBMI?
Shorts: You mentioned recently that you suspect dilution. Do you still feel that way? And what say you about the chart? Would appreciate your thoughts.
Shorts: No news, nothing to post?
Yes, Ok. I think you make a very good point. Mere conjecture can be destructive to pps. And yes, simple impatience/anxiety can be at the root of the conjecture. And I admit I'm impatient. I think your suggestion is reasonable and I'm inclined to pipe down and just wait and see what happens. This organization will have no better advocate than I once I'm convinced this is for real. In the meantime I will try to give them the benefit of the doubt. You did say something that echoes a gut feeling of mine. This young Mark fellow does strike me as possibly a very creative and energetic business mind. A true mover and shaker, totally in love with pushing the business envelope. If the moves taking place are genuine, they do seem to be resourceful and value adding. It is, frankly, hard to imagine this is all just a ruse. Presumably these folks want to protect their names and credibility for future ventures. I guess time will tell. Enjoy your weekend.
Old-n-Grey, I appreciate your response and I admit it's possible you may be completely right. I obviously hope you are. However, there is a sudden silence which is rather deafening and inconsistent with other times when the stock has had a disappointing performance. Shorts has always been very open in those times - making his own suggestions for what might possibly be going on and then seeming somewhat hopeful that our woes are about to come to an end. He has used terms, consistently, like "rainy days will soon pass", and "I think the dilution is coming to an end" and, "I think it's only up from here", etc. Now, my gut tells me that Shorts has made these comments because he has sincerely believed them. But now, practically silence, when it comes to any word from the company or reassurances about pps, etc.
If I had to guess, Shorts is genuinely not pleased with what he has seen, and maybe even feels a little let down by the management, having represented this stock in a positive light on many occasions. However, your suggestion may actually be closer to the truth. It could be that Shorts simply knows that lots of folks are bitter - no matter what he says - so he'd rather let the stock speak for itself when it goes back up. But I don't think that's it. Shorts does not come accross as thin-skinned when it comes to people's attitudes, so I don't think he's going to shy away from this board because he can't take the heat. I think it's that he's seeing things which smack of fraud and he doesn't have all the info he needs to prove otherwise. Which takes me back to my original assertion. Certainly over the past month and a half this past week represents a whole new enchilada as it relates to investor confidence. It seems to me that the management would do SOMETHING by way of reassurance or explanation. All in my opionion, of course. Thanks for your ideas.
So, even though the stock took a major bashing -- down to .0004 at one point, the SBMI management have no words of reassurance or explanation or anything to say to us. No information about dilution or investor confidence or anything; no simple email or phone call to Shorts with information which could then be passed on to investors. Now, why do you suppose that is? Could it be that they don't care about us at all. Could it be that they've used us and now are finished with us? I want some answers. Give me a reason to hold on to this stock. Give me a reason to express confidence in this stock.
Discuss the stock, Shorts.
OK Short, got your message ("we need to talk about the stock and not the posters.") Thank you. So, please talk about the stock and tell us what you think is going on?
Respectfully, no it isn't. It's about whether or not the management of this company is engaging in unscrupulous dealings or being honest. If they are honest, it's about gold. If they're not, it's about greed and (possibly lawbreaking). I encourage ALL OF YOU to read today's postings on this website for HMIT. Notice how Shorts is convinced that HMIT is engaged in scamming. Now, how does it make you feel that we are all invested in a company which has been discussing a merger with HMIT? Are we simply being lead down the primrose path here? That's for each of you to decide. Please, no ridiculous comments about me being a basher. I invested about $4k in this company and am now down to about $1k. I don't mind losing and I enjoy gambling, but I don't like being cheated. And please no preaching about how I shouldn't invest in the Pinks if I seem to take it so badly. That's my business. Do your own DD and GLTA. The stock may go up 400% tomorrow for all I know. Either way, I'm not selling way down here. I'd rather lose it all. Actually, I'm considering buying some more. Being a gambler. But I am getting an increasingly uncomfortable feeling about the dealings going on here. GLTA
old-n-gray, perhaps you're right. I'll reflect upon what you said.
Just curious, Shorts, how do you account for the fact that this stock is repeatedly not behaving as you have predicted? To what do you attribute this? That must be a little emarrassing for you to say things like "Ok guys I think things are shaping up nice here!, etc." How do you account for the behavior of this stock? Don't you feel a little bit obligated to try to explain yourself and the way the stock is behaving? I mean, everybody on the board is sick and tired of this stuff.
If I had a dime for everytime Shorts proclaimed: "Solid base forming - only up from here!", I'd be a wealthy man.
Quote from Shortsinthecrack on Tuesday: "Ok guys I think things are shaping up nice here ! take a look at the chart.. CMF is now turning positive and the distribution/accumulation line is sharply turning up!" WABOSH. Thank you for your very controlled, unbiased assessment. Total crap.
"Adding more here, thank you" ????? Well get on with it then. I don't see a buy. What are you using, carrier pidgeon?
hope you're right.
Yes, I agree, Lukin's post #1211 is a nicely expressed sentiment. And, you're very gracious: every now and then I deserve some salt in my coffee. Good luck to you and to all.
Shorts. I appreciate this morning's newsletter. Thank you for addressing certain relevant concerns.
Grumps! Listen. You've got a strange idea of what it means to "trash" someone. Offering a point of view in a relevant, tenacious and even aggressive manner is not trashing someone. These types of posts are important and need to be honest and up front and there's no reason to take them personally. This is about money we've invested. When people invest money in a company which makes assurances and promises to them, you can be damn sure some of us are going to follow up on inconsistencies and other concerns. I, for one, have posted very positive and complimentary messages regarding Shorts, but I don't appreciate when the questions get tough he can conveniently ignore them by saying childish things like "you don't like me" like we're in 3rd grade.
Sometimes the questions will be tough, sometimes they will be easy. But you don't (as a paid INDEPENDENT REPRESENTATIVE) say childish things like "if you don't like me" or "stop complaining". I've got a better suggestion: if your a PAID INDEPENDENT REPRESENTATIVE do your effing job and have enough respect for investors to take the time to answer relevant questions -- or as Sman said "fess up" if you were given bad information by the company. Again, let me remind you: I owe Shorts nothing. I've never met him and don't know him. I'm sorry if it sounds unfriendly but it is not. This is business, not a tea party.
I absolutely will not be quiet about these things just because you think this is courtesy class. Yes, sometimes the posts, I admit, can get a little unfriendly. But ask yourself if you really think that being unfriendly is the purpose of the post or just someone trying to get information they need. Thank you. GLTA.
Oh, and by the way, it's the tough questions that improve a company's profile over time. It's important for companies to hear the complaints and concerns of a few who are doing the heavy lifting for others who are too "polite" to ask the same questions -- even though they're thinking them.
How cute. You must be new to this stock. I would expect it to close unchanged or down 14%.
Alright. So, as the INDEPENDENT REPRESENTATIVE of SBMI, I assume you know where the company is headquartered. Please do your job and confirm or deny that SBMI offices out of a horse race track. And, if so, please explain, to the extent you're able, what horseracing and mineral exploration have to do with each other. Thank you.
Don't try to change the subject. This is not about me "not liking you". What is this, 3rd grade? Please address my specific concerns. You state yourself that you are a representative for the company. So act like one and don't try to change the subject by making it personal. I am speaking to you in your capacity as a paid representative of SBMI, not as a person. So, once again, do your job and please address my concerns about the horse track and the TA.
Whatever. If I had the time, I would put together a compilation of your best cheerleading moments, but I don't have the time.
Yes Up 28%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But for how long????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now listen up. The "Newsletter" from "Shorts" has become a totally useless POS. It contains, basically, press releases we've already seen, postings by people on this board that we've already seen, and a bunch of upbeat, patronizing, morale boosting comments replete with exclamation points!!!!!
I don't need a cheeleader to provide me with "news" about this company. I need solid, credible information. For example the matter of the new TA has been dropped and ignored. We were specifically told that it was going to change in the very near future. But it has not. Likewise I have requested repeatedly that the company satisfy at least the most basic, new standards of reporting now available on Pink Sheets. But this has been totally ignored. We were also told that photos and videos of the ongoing mining project would be provided to shareholders. Now, we're told that a few photos have been taken which we can see when what's his face "returns". What happened to video and doesn't what's his face realize that photos can be emailed. Or is he using his Box Brownie? Now I learn that this "company" operates out of a horse track. Is that true, Shorts? And if so, please explain. Don't ignore it. Is the company recruiting horses to help with the dredging operation? Also, we've been told time and time again that M was going to be heading over to the site "in the coming weeks". We've been told that repeatedly over the past few months.
Now there's this BS with HMIT which has not been satisfactorilly addressed. I think the bottom line here is that we're being strung along and screwed. I'm not impressed. And I don't GAS about hurting Short's feelings and all the boo hoo hoo from sissies on this board. If he can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. I didn't ask him to take on this project and I owe him nothing. And why is he always such a cheerleader? Anyway, we get this wonderful news about Gold, Gold, and more Gold. I don't GAS. I'm down about half my initial investment. Even on this "wonderful news" (which may be a complete fabrication) we still can't get above .0009. That's a joke. Something stinks here. Show me the money. Then I'll believe you. What's with the horse track, Shorts?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. I've been thinking the exact same thing, but I'm tired of doing the "heavy lifting" so I've not mentioned it -- nice to know that others ( in the "land of the free" ) are willing to speak their minds when most ( chickens/freeloaders/dumasses ) are not. I think it's becoming pretty obvious that we're being lied to wholesale here, time after time. And "Shorts" can say whatever he likes, but he doesn't speak for me, I've never met him and I have no reason to believe a word he says. BTW, I don't personally GAS about you either. You're obviously a pretty self-centered, insensitive person, but I do agree with your complaint.
Beautiful
I don't understand why you have to "research" this matter. I thought you were paid by the company to provide us with relevant PR and other info. Are you trying to tell us that it makes any sense at all for you to be in the "Dark" about this. I'm really beginning to wonder here.
What do you mean?
Honestly, who sells $4 worth of stock!!?? What the hell is that?
Could you please explain?
Point well taken.
Can you be sure that is not what has been happening and what will continue to happen?
I renew my request that SBMI take steps to meet at least the most basic reporting category now offered on Pink Sheets. Thanks.
I really appreciate your contribution, but at no time in my comments did I make reference to, nor mention, a CEO. The role of the CEO is clearly not to answer - directly - to the likes of me. However, clearly, a PUBLIC company has an obligation and legal duty to communicate with those members of the public which are part owners of said company. Please re-read my posting with the care I spent composing it.
I really appreciate the effort you make to ask the relevant questions. You may be looking after yourself, but your efforts seem to be in my best interests too, so, again, I really appreciate it - I think. I'm beginning to get a good feeling about this company, but I would feel better if, like you, we were kept apprised of ongoing company activities relevant to investor confidence and promises made. I think they've been pretty damn responsive to our concerns so far and I'm liking the way they have made adjustments to their PR, and generally been adaptive to the concerns expressed by shareholders. I want to believe this is a sign of good, solid, honest, corporate management. Talented business people have built this country and I admire them.
And, I appreciate, too, the efforts made by Shorts to mediate and consolidate our collective interests and concerns in this company. After two glasses of Chardonnay, I admit I'm pretty easy, but I'm starting to get a good feeling here and I liked what I saw today, though this is my first penny and I'm a newbie to the stock market by any standards.
If we're dealing with honest brokers here, who are legitimate, and experienced business people, perhaps I can presume to speak for all of us when I wish them all the best in their (our) treasure hunt. But, finally, again, let's not forget that we're part owners of this company and we have a duty or a right to ask tough questions and adopt a somewhat "oversight" status as owners. Likewise, they, the company, have a duties to us, too as represented in their press releases and other promised activities (contracts with us). Lastly, my apoligies to my English teacher for my overuse of commas here. GLTA! The first round is on me if this baby cooks. All the best to my fellow and female shareholders. eom.
They are brothers. I spoke to him briefly on the phone while doing DD on the resume of his brother. He was not aware of his brothers involvement with SBMI and said he didn't know anything about it.
I appreciate that. Thanks.
could you elaborate for me. I'm very interested in your thoughts about this.
