Speaking of Chinese food, anyone see this?....
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/07/12/cardboard.food.ap/index.html?iref=newssearch
BEIJING, China (AP) -- Chopped cardboard, softened with an industrial chemical and flavored with fatty pork and powdered seasoning, is a main ingredient in batches of steamed buns sold in one Beijing neighborhood, state television said.
Steamed buns sold in Beijing contain 60 percent cardboard, a report on China Central Television said.
The report, aired late Wednesday on China Central Television, highlights the country's problems with food safety despite government efforts to improve the situation.
Countless small, often illegally run operations exist across China and make money cutting corners by using inexpensive ingredients or unsavory substitutes. They are almost impossible to regulate.
State TV's undercover investigation features the shirtless, shorts-clad maker of the buns, called baozi, explaining the contents of the product sold in Beijing's sprawling Chaoyang district.
Baozi are a common snack in China, with an outer skin made from wheat or rice flour and a filling of sliced pork. Cooked by steaming in immense bamboo baskets, they are similar to but usually much bigger than the dumplings found on dim sum menus familiar to many Americans.
The hidden camera follows the man, whose face is not shown, into a ramshackle building where steamers are filled with the fluffy white buns, traditionally stuffed with minced pork.
The surroundings are filthy, with water puddles and piles of old furniture and cardboard on the ground.
"What's in the recipe?" the reporter asks. "Six to four," the man says.
"You mean 60 percent cardboard? What is the other 40 percent?" asks the reporter. "Fatty meat," the man replies.
The bun maker and his assistants then give a demonstration on how the product is made.
Squares of cardboard picked from the ground are first soaked to a pulp in a plastic basin of caustic soda -- a chemical base commonly used in manufacturing paper and soap -- then chopped into tiny morsels with a cleaver. Fatty pork and powdered seasoning are stirred in.
Soon, steaming servings of the buns appear on the screen. The reporter takes a bite.
"This baozi filling is kind of tough. Not much taste," he says. "Can other people taste the difference?"
"Most people can't. It fools the average person," the maker says. "I don't eat them myself."
The police eventually showed up and shut down the operation.
How many stockholders did ETIM say there are?
Mojo, yep, that is correct! eom
Niz, I agree that it does not make the company look good when there are so many delays, even if they do not directly affect the customers.
On the other hand, maybe we are all expecting too much right off the bat. I'm willing to bet that most of us in here have never been a part of a company like ETIM, and I'm sure it's easy for us to assume that everything will run perfectly.
Fenway, well, he's correct about the company missing previously posted dates/goals when it comes to all the financial stuff, etc. Maybe this is normal for a new company, but since it has happened multiple times, I think he's just pointing out the flaws. Personally, I believe ETIM should have learned, after the first time, to stop posting dates/goals that they can't guarantee. I wouldn't blame the auditors/CPAs directly....I would blame ETIM for posting the dates/goals in their PRs, and, after all, they are the "boss" here, since they choose who to hire.
Anyway, I wouldn't say that Niz should not be investing here. We all know that Microsoft Windows has a million flaws, but most of us still buy it anyway... :o)
Why does everyone jump all over niz because he stated his opinion about the AFs? More than one person on this board guaranteed that we would already have the AFs by this point, and no one jumped all over them, even though they were 100% wrong. Niz is entitled to his opinion, and, there is no more proof that he will be wrong than he will be correct.
Superbee, didn't they say something about new deals with some household names during the CC? I thought they said something about them coming soon.
When are we getting organ213's promised PR? eom

Thanks Bee and iknow...I boardmarked! eom
Q: How do I boardmark this? eom
To which message are you referring? eom
Lurker, what are you making? eom
Good morning, everyone! eom
Where's Shane? eom
Superbee, what was that stuff that y0 was talking about....he mentioned that he heard there was an error or something? Do you know anything further on that?
Dem...ETIM has payed off since the .0006 days for me, so I'm not planning on selling....just wish that at least one of the dates/estimates that ETIM mentioned would be met.
Well, if there were an error or Demetrius were on vacation, etc., it's still Eternal Image's responsibility, since Eternal Image hired the accountants and the auditors.
And, Eternal Image should have asked if Demetrius were going to be on vacation before stating in the PR that Demetrius thought the AFs could be done sooner (or within 10 days, etc.). Usually vacations are planned weeks in advance... :o)
It was just a joke....since we are in another delay. What if I instead said: "This seems like an eternal delay."? Is it ok for me to say it that way?
Good morning, all! eom
Shake out weaker hands? I doubt the company wants to do this. They aren't out to manipulate their own stock price!
$cott, the actual quote is:
May 25th:
Once he has the financial package in hand, John Demetrius, president of Demetrius & Company L.L.C., expects "our completion should not take longer than one week to 10 days."
...and on June 22nd:
John Demetrius, president of Demetrius & Company L.L.C., originally expected the audit to be complete within 10 working days, but due to the completeness of the submitted documents believes that it could be delivered much sooner.
Good morning, everyone! eom
Why would you count weekends?!?!
John Demetrius, president of Demetrius & Company L.L.C., originally expected the audit to be complete within 10 working days, but due to the completeness of the submitted documents believes that it could be delivered much sooner.
I believe uplisting takes time....something like an average of 90 days after submitting for the uplist.
Good morning, everyone! eom
Good Morning, everyone! Did I miss anything over the last few days? I was out for a few days....
Thanks!
That's the same talk I heard when we were .0006....and today we closed at .006. That's 10x. So, I guess the stock can't go anywhere except up 10x again! LOL!
NewPennies, I agree. Tired of answering! :o)
How many of you have EVER said...
"I wish I could have bought Microsoft when it was $.32/share."

And, AFs should be out within the next week or two!!!!
You're out?! WHO are you?! LOL! eom
Will SOCCER soon follow?! eom
