Rumor of buyout by big tobacco cannot help Tilray as analyst's drop their price targets. I really think this will be a very attractive buy at under $12. I won't touch this mess until then. At $12 I will start to get back in.
I will be suprised if the stock price doesn’t get cut in half from $25
So currently Tilray has a market capitalization of over 2 billion, yet it reports a 31 million dollar loss last quarter.
Things are out of alignment here.
US legalization is not Tilray's Holy Grail and will not happen anytime soon.
Some day if Tilray does not go bankrupt it could be extremely successful.
The numbers above suggest thats a long time away.
I will buy back in only if it goes under $12, otherwise too risky at this point.
Wall, I agree with you.
I Think the company will someday be successful, but it needs to go to $10.
I have been in an out of this twice now. Gained on the huge run last year. Bought and sold this year at a loss.
It needs to comeback down to Earth before I get back in. I will buy more at $10, and possibly try to lower my cost basis from there.
I am not a bear. I am just more skeptical than I was. I am still here with my money, never sold a share. Made two more recent stock purchases. I am hoping to develop a decent stock position from this investment.
I believe that the tech can do great things.
I am not following anyone blindly wether there is money involved or not. Eyes wide open.
I am not here to attack Waggs or Crabtree, they both have been gentlemen to me in our few correspondences.
I am certainly not here to pop any of the other longs balloons.
I wish everyone here Good Luck, Truly.
Efood, I applaud you for your ardent positivity. I was there with you for a while. It was KW's "we are there " comment combined with all the delays that turned me into a bit of a sceptic.
My small investment here will remain. I will see how it plays out.
I refuse to give them a pass anymore, and am starting to get suspicious.
The latest responses from Investor Relations are not encouraging.
It was nice of them to grab a few quotes from Hidalgo, but I personally need news on, Cells, IND, Funding. The actual advancement of their treatment.
I never knew Hidalgo was wavering. I always thought he was on board.
Maybe its a subtle message to shareholders that the trial is on or maybe its just another pacifier.
Thank You, that slipped by me.
LOL, buddy
Lets hope so. That would be great. I would stop my current negativity.
If they can't have a meeting without a quorum, does this mean they need over 600 shareholders to have a meeting?
Does that mean if 500 people show up there will be no meeting? Don't think I am flying out there for a maybe meeting.
Is it possible they are counting on not getting a quorum?
They cannot announce the IND at the meeting. The public must have access to new information at the same time.
The problem for me(and it is MY problem) is I was expecting bigger things from the company and what I got was dilution.
Things happen, but I have been here 4 years and they do this type of thing time and time again. They build themselves up, say "we are there", and we find out later that we are two years away.
I think I may change my strategy here. I will remain long with half my shares but when I see a chance to make money, hopefully in 2021, I will take it, and be thankful.
Good luck to you, thanks for the discussion.
Average volume, nothing happening.
I was so looking forward to the .04s today. Whats the chart say? JK
It's not the preffered shares that concern me, I understand their purpose. Its the common shares that I see as useless dilution for you and me.
These are the shares they need to pay themselves large salaries while my investment decreases in value.
Their desire for more common shares suggests to me we do not yet have a partner. No infusion of another companies cash.
God I hope I am wrong.
We don't know. The person who was involved has blocked everyone and the company denies it.
I thought that as well Doog, but I no longer do. My guess is benign news is coming out.
The meeting is about them having more shares to sell and establishing preferred shares either way...dilution.
This has been going on for years.
It's true both types of shares dilute, but I see a potential benefit from the preferred shares, preventing a hostile takeover. More common shares is nothing but dilution.
I wrote IR an email telling them they need to broadcast the shareholders meeting. I am certain they did not like my tone, even more certain I do not care.
My surgery is September after the meeting. I may still be able to go.
I am a very nice person but I will tolerate 0 BS. 0
If I go I will bring at least one other shareholder with me, he tolerates less BS.
Saying they have no plans to sell new shares they want is total BS.
ITS TIME FOR AN UPDATE ON CELLS AND IND!!!!!
These are very positive statements that don't say anything. It sounds like a politician not a business person. We want to change our articles of organization but we have no update on progress for you. Sketchy.
What is an "indy"?
Their need for more shares makes me feel like there is No partnership or funding about to be announced.
The only problem is we have hoped that before. More than once.
Has anyone been to a meeting where those running the meeting have plants in the room to move the meeting along in the direction the company wants?
It happened to me in a meeting as a younger man. I did not know how to halt it at the time.
Not enough remote shareholders will attend, and the meeting will roll along right over the top of actual shareholder questions, while their plants throw softballs questions at them, which they will answer forever to create fewer potential questions.
I hope that does not happen here. It is a strategy I have encountered more than once.
I am suggesting an RS. How can they even sniff the Nasdaq without one. I don't think the Share price is going to two dollars anytime soon. Not the way this company reacts to news.
The woman heard the doctors say "cell in a box". Maybe its a copycat product and they are using the term CiaB because they have heard the it before and do not know what to call it.
The response from IR was quickly followed up by a nicer fluffier response from DR Crabtree saying about the same thing.
I thought my last email to them was humorous, thats how it was intended, sarcastic and humorous.
Clearly investor relations does not want us writing in asking questions. They treat us like children.
Unfortunately this IS a red flag.
My email to PharmaCyte:
Hello PMCB,
Since we have a shareholder that works in the medical profession in the KU medical system, we have learned that CiaB is being used on an emergency basis at KU University. Apparently it has been quite successful. Can you confirm this? Is it being used elsewhere in this capacity?
I don't expect a response. Looking forward to shareholders meeting.
Old Musky
Their response:
We are somewhat hesitant to answer your email because of the tenor and nature of some of your past emails to us, but this one we will answer.
No, we have not been able to confirm the supposed findings re: CIAB capsules and cancer at the U. of Kansas. Is there any publication of their results in any reputable scientific publication? To our knowledge, the answer here again is NO. So why would we have any knowledge of any other entity achieving similar results at this point in time?
As for the CIAB capsules the U. of Kansas supposedly used, the only source from which they could have obtained them would be a biochemical supplier such as Sigma Aldrich. Austrianova has sold CIAB capsules to Sigma Aldrich in “kit” form. However the CIAB capsules in such kits differ in several respects than those being prepared by Austrianova for PMCB and the kit capsules would never pass FDA muster.
Most importantly, the CIAB capsules in the kits are designated as “For Research Use Only” and thus are NOT INTENDED FOR HUMAN USE. Most certainly, the kit CIAB capsules have NOT been approved by the FDA for use in humans.

NCI-designated Cancer Centers are a group of 70 cancer research institutions in the United States supported by the National Cancer Institute.
I seriously doubt that. The FDA would have let them know. That would mean Gunzburg has been playing us and he would not due that since we own 14% of his company. Most likely it's PharmaCyte.
Maybe they are doing it in Kansas because there is not much attention there. People are not snooping for cutting edge treatments in Kansas. I am not putting down your medical system there, just saying the spotlight is not on Kansas until March Madness.
I just emailed IR asking them about the KU story. I think they either say it is not happening or I get no response. Let's hope for the latter.
From the university of Kansas' cancer website:
"Academic Approach
Because we are an academic center, we offer some of the region's most advanced cancer treatments. We are constantly finding new treatments to lengthen survival and improve lives. We use state-of-the-art techniques and technologies to improve patient outcomes and reduce side effects. And we work side by side with pharmaceutical companies to help you get access to the medicines you need."
Is an Emergency Request considered a trial?
Doesn't Austrianova have the name "Cell in a Box" trademarked?
They do.
Must be right to try law.
Volume is below average. We need 5mil plus volume for multiple days.
