It can and it will.
Is it today?
Will Zen be a high end CPU unit or it's more of a medium segment?
It's not about how powerful they are. Obviously, Intel ones will always have the upper hand since AMD is lightyears behind in their CPUs.
It's about price-performance ratio. If Zen CPU costs 300 dollars and performs like a 450 intel equivalent - why pay more? I'd buy
Zen in that case. That's what I mean when saying 'Intel will have to respond somehow'.
One thing they can do is lower their prices on the CPUs that somewhat match Zen's.
I see. Why do you need so many monitors though? I can understand two or even three, but six?
So many haters of the stock here. Wow.
This is an intreresting approach. For example, if a person does not want to read anything about politics, he/she can just block certain words. We'll see how it works out.
Cool. I'll give it a watch then!
Not sure about a smartphone ut I've been gaming on a monitor with a curved screen and it felt AWESOME. It feels like the image surrounds you from both sides. It's a great feature.
We'll see how it feels on a phone. I am pretty excited about this.
I know that. Point is, Intel will have to respond on Zen somehow.
My buddy who is into cars watches it and says it's great. Is it a good idea to watch if I'm a total newbie about cars? Will I have some fun watching it? :)
Hmm. Never liked MCD burgers.
Rumor has it, Zen's gonna cost $500. That's a lot.

Amazon Is Serious About Taking On Netflix

It's not gonna stop your average Joe from buying an iPhone, but it doesn't bode well on their tech innovator reputation.
Does it mean they know something we don't? Is it a bad sign for the stock?
Disney - The Only Things You Need To Know
http://seekingalpha.com/article/4026179-disney-things-need-know
Yep. That was very short sighted of them.
Read it.
Activision is very lucky to have Blizzard. Those guys know what they're doing.
And you need to understand that 'building their brand name' in e-sports is essentially putting up logos and showing commercials which they've doing for years. Same as AMD. Nobody follows anyone's example. It's not new. And I'm not saying it's bad either, so I've no idea why we're even fighting.
My first response was to a person who was gonna invest precisely because of e-sports reasons. I said it's a pretty insignificant thing and he should only invest for their core product - GPUs.
Then you stormed in saying it's a great idea they're branding their name through e-sports as if I ever said it was bad. Then adding that AMD's following their example supports your point, when in truth both of them have been doing it for years.
All in all - another pointless response from you. I don't even know why I'm writing all this.
Don't bother responding now, cause I'm tired of this conversion and won't answer back.
And I'm saying they've been doing it for years and results are pretty insignificant.
It's a fact. You can't fight facts.
Me saying that both AMD and NVDA have been showing commercials during e-sports events is so hard to believe?
Go check some random 2013 tournament on YouTube or something and you'll see it for yourself. Probably should stop responding to your comments as well.
You're in denial.
No idea, sorry. I don't know anything about Nintendo.
it's not like they're just starting to show their ads between games. It's been going on for some time. And NVDA is certainly not innovating with AMD's following their example.
I've seen AMD ads and logos FOR YEARS during big e-sports events.
Well, good luck to you then. You're gonna need it.
Most of competitive games will go easy on your GPU. You don't need a good GPU to play most of those games. In fact, most pro players would lower their graphics in-game to the minumum, because all those in-game effects are only distracting them.
When I'm watching a stream of a professional CS:GO player on Twitch - no one is asking what kind of GPU they're using. Because nobody cares. What they will ask him in chat is what kind if mouse&keyboard he's using. And people would ask it so often, that most streamers have their gear available on written form right under the stream.
Anyway yes - it's basically their commercial between games and logos on walls etc.
Netflix is not the stock you wanna check every day. Once per month is enough for me.
I believe they will only surprise us if the Google buyout happens. Which I believe will happen in months to come.
I've been following e-sports for the last 10 years. We're basically talking about NVDA commercials between games.
It's pretty insignificant.
GPUs is not something you see a proplayer using. Most will pay attention to mice, keyboards, monitors etc.
You should invest in NVDA for their decent GPUs, not their involvement in e-sports. It's pretty insignificant.
I see. Doesn't sound like it's gonna add a lot in revenue though.
How is e-sports going to help NVDA?
No idea. Anything can happen. If Zen turns out to be a flop, then AMD's screwed. The stock will react accordingly.
I'd be careful around Twitter. It is unsafe at best.
I own both NFLX and DIS. Wonder what affect it'll have on 'em if the buyout actually happens.
Not sure what you're trying to say here.
Thanks. I'll probably buy more AMD when it gets down to 5-6.
The stock is not tanking and not going to.
