Looks like I called it a couple weeks ago... Hey Moneyxx.. what now?
I posted this recently and got chirped by Moneyxx. Cannabix will have to do this, it will be 1-2 years before a device, if made, will get through such trials. Can say, told ya so. Medchem posts #12029, 12016, 12001, 11988.
Being realistic saves you (and me) money. I pray for those holding that it won't be longer, but I think it will. I have saved much money over the past 2 months. I will buy back in, but the time is not right. I have been right so far about the share price, yes, but reiterate my opinion on the daily that this is still heading lower. It's happened before - I got burnt last year and am thankful to have not got burnt again. It's a complex task, and it takes time. We will get there eventually.
I would say that people who bought in at higher prices, as long as they hold strong, will not lose... but you never know. This is a risky play. It's red or black. Has gotten less risky since Yost addition, but it's still risky. We all know the stakes and hope to score big. I hope we can all someday get together on our massive earnings and laugh at the journey.
The level 2 data that you get will not be real-time same day, it will be a day behind i believe.
That would apply if there was volume. On no volume, it unfortunately is volatile and can drop to the teens (like last year).
I feel confident in my opinion that it isn't possible to have a device this month, next month, and even the following is questionable. That's from working in a university lab, working with science of this nature, knowing the complexity. I sold 10 cents higher than the current price, it feels nice to know I haven't lost on my investment. This is a discussion board for opinion's, and I am entitled to post mine. If I thought the device was going to be ready soon I would buy back now. I think one of two things will happen.
1) No news for the next 2+ months with continued stock price decline
2) Fluffy news article in the next month or so which says they are making progress but... the end result... device isn't yet ready. That would tell me it could be 2+ months from them.
If you have a good reason for why we should expect a device in the coming weeks, please post it. I'm open to discuss with ya.
Using a mass spectrometer on the benchtop to analyze breath samples from cigarettes is not the same as someone smoking marijuana and blowing into a hand held device. I am not saying the results are crap. On the contrary, they are awesome. However, we won't simply get a device this week and run a trial next week, be on the market the week following.
I'll say it for the millionth time. We will see a device hopefully in 6 months, testing in 1-2 years, and then device on market after that.
Hounds labs are going to be our main competitor. They seem to be at the same point.
See my last post. They have not directly tested THC in breath. That's illegal in Florida. You guys should email them to get clarification.
Simulated breath samples. I.e. calibrated breath samples with nicotine. Where the molecule behaves and is of similar size and charge to the THC. By association you can say that if you can detect nicotine, then you should be able to detect the THC.
And yes I believe we will make money off this, but everyone's timeline is off. Everyone here seems like they are just ignoring fact, and need to get the right information. We've been waiting for 2 years. I don't think these guys will be on the market selling a device in 2 years. I DO think they will put together a device for testing in the next 6 months.
Everyone here getting fired up. Just chill, no matter what, we should here something eventually and we will all cash in.
If they put out a fluff new release and don't announce a device is ready it will confirm my belief we will be waiting for months.
They used the benchtop mass spec to detect nicotine. They haven't detected THC in breath. Call them and get clarification if you require.
Actually you are wrong. They have not detected THC in breath. They have detected nicotine in breath. Call them and ask them if you don't understand. They aren't allowed to test with marijuana in Florida. They used cigarettes. You're pumping false information.
My guess is 15 cents Ca by August/September. The stock price has fallen from 25 cents to 23.5 cents in a matter of weeks? And even the American side took a 10 percent hit today. IMO the SP is not holding up. Will be a great opportunity to pick up shares.
My guess is that it will be 3 more months
Maybe we can have open discussion about timelines and be rationale, and not resort to pumping. I personally don't think a device will be out for months.
Pretty sure you're claiming the CEO is violating Canadian security law
Post a screenshot... or you made it up.
It gets referenced around here far too frequently. Links have been provided to clarify how little meaning it holds... it still gets posted here.
I do think they move slower. Having worked in the university setting I know the pace they move - but still, I think the limiting factor is not the man-power necessarily, but rather, the complexity of putting together the device.
Secondly, they do not have a built and tested device as you mentioned. This is a publicly traded company and if they built a device, they have to tell us. There is no device yet, just successful results on nicotine trials (which is still great...).
Also, you can call my move a stock flip. I am an investor and had too much invested to watch 20% slip away for no reason. You might be up 95%, I was too, then last year I watched my investment get cut in half over 6 months while they messed around. I waited patiently, we got back to 35 cents BLO, I took profit. 10 cent drop in a couple weeks since and still going presents a chance to buy back in. Just my play. To each his own.
You can't take anything from the daily with such low volume and when the only time there is any volume is on press releases. In fact, the only thing that really stops this stock from going to 10 cents is a news release (which I don't think is likely). Last time they went silent for 4 months we dropped hard. I think if they drop some fluffy news it's possible to see this range stick, but that's a risk I am not willing to take given the past history.
How exactly do you think the device detects a "level". The device doesn't magically correlate a number to nothing. The level is a reading that is calibrated and for everyone will detect the level of THC in the blood. How do you think the "level" gets picked? By an authority who determines what level is safe to drive under.
I provided my opinion on the fundamentals + timeline and technicals. I am not going to post an exact SP number, but my opinion would be that everything considered, it wouldn't be unreasonable to see something 10 cents lower. In a couple weeks when there is no device, people will panic, and a couple weeks after that, moree will panic. It happened in 2015, it can happen again. Nobody likes watching 5-20% of their investment evaporate. That's the risk when playing a red/black bet on a company with no revenue and no product, with a HUGE barrier to getting to market (...it's complexity and the fact it's never been done before).
My intention is to have discussion around the company. People haven't really discussed my thoughts though, they've just denied or have got defensive. I am up for discussion.
Fundamentally, we have a company with no revenue, who had to do a PP to make money while diluting shareholders so that they can continue to work on the device, 2 years after starting. A company who IMO couldn't have a device soon (separate post).
Technically, things are not improving, they have been getting worse over the past weeks.
Facts. Not hope. Everyone always gets upset when I post an opinion that doesn't support a long position. That's unfortunate, but a rational opinion is better than one that just pumps or bashes.
You've messaged me many times asking for an opinion. You need to understand that I have been clear about my position so that people know the truth... I am not going to pretend I am holding shares. Also... I am not "talking negatively" about the company... all I did was explain with rationale why I think the timeline people have been posting is not accurate.
Nobody here is bashing anyone. Not everyone posting on this board needs to hold stock everyday, many trade on and off, buy long or sell short. I have held, I have sold, I have done that many times. I have been here for a long time and always contribute here. I JUST posted MY OPINION. It is a opinion. Not everyone on this board is going to pump the stock. Like I just said, I believe the timeline will be as follows:
I have been a part of this board for a long time and have contributed my opinion here since day 1. You are new to the board so I understand why you might not see that. I am offering my opinion to the board as I always have. I provide the information I think, people use it as they wish. I have trained with mass spectrometers, have advanced degrees in chemistry, and I have applied logic to my timeline.
So...?
I am not telling people to buy or sell... rather, my investment isn't based on hope that they might overnight build a device... I just made a separate post about why the timeline everyone proposes if not an accurate one... and I have posted the following previously:
Timeline to device:
Everyone here pumping the stock has the right to believe that we hear a news release any day, if you're still holding you're shares, I don't blame you. I am not holding my shares, I have been open about that. Regardless of whether you have shares now or not, people need to be realistic about the timeline they are setting here.
The parts were ordered not that long ago for a device that has never been built before. A device that is so incredibly complex, that nobody has come even close to building one before. And people here seem to think that suddenly overnight the parts show up and you assemble them and boom, you have a device. The reality is that, it would take a FAST team a couple months to build a device of that complexity, in private industry. In a university lab it could take much longer. Once it is assembled, then they need to do there nicotine trials on it to ensure it works like the model mass spectrometer that they have done so far.
This won't be out in the next few months. Buy or sell your shares, it's up to you. But get real on the timeline.
Will make note of this and reference it in a couple months when there has yet to be a device shown to the public.
Don't buy yet. This thing is rolling downhill and will pick up speed over the next month or two. Lest we forget February 2015 onward.
OK, I normally disagree with you, but you have finally made a great point. It is going to be EXTREMELY difficult, even when they have a device, to show that they can reliably correlate blood THC levels to breath quantities and determine how impaired someone is. It's never been done and it will require serious research. 1-2 years I would say MINIMUM. Maybe longer.
Boock isn't a director, he works in the lab in Florida under Yost's supervision. A university lab... which moves much slower than private industry.
What do you mean? I think safety is the farthest feeling anyone here should have at this point.
It's not true at all, now is not the time to buy. The time to buy will be when the SP is 5-10 cents lower.
Well then you're investment has lost 5-8 cents in the past week or two... why? Because you are sitting around waiting/hoping?
These guys, even if they had a device couldn't reach 5 dollars a share within 2-3 years. Think about the hurdles to getting approval and testing a device for which no previous scientific evidence exists.
People don't yet know how THC in the blood levels correlates to breath detection quantities.
1) Still not likely
2) By that time the SP will be <20 cents Ca. Maybe <15 cents. Just like last time there was buzz around a device, we went back to 10 cents. Not sure what you hold, but losing >20% isn't worth it.
Here's why...
There won't be any news of a device in the next week or two. We will see 15 cents before the device.
Chart technicals scream sell. In terms of fundamentals we have everyone making a dollar except shareholders who've waited for 2 years. Still waiting.
