Number_9, well put. I'm glad you pointed out not being a fan of comics but you see the value of this product. That is the bottom line here - the product is incredible and it is JUST beta. They have stated already a few times that we should not see this as the end product - they will be making improvements to this before it is fully released. Devil dog, if you have an apple device email info@powfolio.com and get into the beta testing for yourself. Once you use the app yourself you'll see what all of us see who are using it now. Glad you followed up number_9. There is no way anyone testing beta right now would come up with that. This app is going to make big news once it is fully released. But I had an idea about getting word to some tech outlets now that preview up and coming new apps.

Hey Wingman, definitely surprised too about the amount of testers. I recruited some friends that are avid readers and wouldn't have known about the app. Others I know wanted to but are on android - they really excited for this to come in android already, just from the short preview I showed them. I figured new eyes gets the word out to others and will definitely help spread the news to others that might not know about it either.

Do you know if revenues actually happen during beta? Or does anyone else know?

The more I use this app the more impressed I am. You guys that are regulars I'm sure can point out much more differences, but to me it is incredibly smooth. I know some can't stand ads anywhere, it's not a big deal. I think with a paid ad free option that will satisfy both.

And as you mentioned already, there is some massive content on here! Of course not marvel or dc but it's really impressive.

Over 15,000 golden age comics to up load still!

If that is what is coming for Golden Age, it has to be pretty staggering what is coming for the current titles. As others have mentioned, I can not see how we don't get some of the big time publishers out there to put their content here as well. I'm hoping the turnaround time to full release happens by June before Comic-con. That way it will be ready for everyone and not just iOS users. I've had several friends already not get to jump in to beta because they run Android. Could be another reason numbers are low too - just a thought. Either way, I definitely would want this fully loaded and ready in both iOS and Android for opening of Comic-con. Then full marketing blitz at comic-con with Markiplier showcasing his comic AND Powfolio. That would make a huge impact in my opinion.

I don't get the low numbers either OW. I'm sure there are more, just not signed up on facebook. I've spread the word to friends to jump in and none of them are on facebook, so that might be part of it. I was expecting more as well, at least 50 - 100 was my guess, but I am not an app developer and don't know the standard beta tester number they look for when testing things.

This app is pretty incredible already though and it's only beta. I would think a quick shout out to comic book fans via some comic book sites/social media would jump that number pretty fast. Kind of like a Call for Beta Testers and just shoot it out on some twitter or face book feeds.

Kinda strange too that there are many on here that won't bother getting it to test it out. I respect everyone's opinion to not to though - this is an investment board after all, not a comic book board. But my brain wouldn't handle not at least checking it out.

That being said, why isn't our own page here plastering the news of Powfolio? I completely understand that when it was first mentioned back in Nov to be hesitant and in fact, not believe it at all. Then we got some news from Glowdot confirming it was coming. Ok, that's good, but still not believing it till we see it.

WELL - BETA is out! Can we please update our page to reflect this news!?

I also completely understand not even getting too hyped about Markiplier - but Powfolio Beta on iOS is a reality!!

I saw seepalms that not many are in the beta test group on Facebook, so maybe they didn't get the numbers they hoped for and Glowdot went ahead and opened up. I personally like that it's opened up for beta, more eyes - more input to make this app even better before full release.

To me more the better! We need more people who are truly the everyday readers because they can really help get this app to the level of untouchable. I don't consider myself in that category unfortunately, just a casual reader, and hope others who are will be in beta.

As far as NDA stuff, I have seen anything posted here to me that would cross the line. Might just ask the guys in the testers group what we can and can't share.

And if Benny is reading - PLEASE do not go for the RS!!! This app is going to change the game without a doubt and to me would get us a revenue stream that has been desperately needed.

Powfolio is going make things happen IMO.

Beta testing is now underway!

I've been using darkhorse, comixology, and marvel a lot more lately to get an idea of the comparison and this is incredible.

The Glowdot guys know what the hell they are doing that is for sure.

Still lots of tweaking to go as per Glowdot's statements, but this is HUGE for REDG to be a part of.

As far as publishers - the facebook images have several you can see clearly (image, arcana, heroic, section eight) is what I could see in the image just on facebook. I couldn't see dates from those images though.

I wish we could share more, but I can tell you the 'game changer' is a good place to start. Absolutely impressed!

Hope to see some of you in beta testing to test out the chat feature as well!

Absolutely agree rickn on getting some marketing/promoting behind this.

I'm not a youtuber perse, but I'm sure there must be a way to get to the word out through his channel and facebook - basically a 'share' so his fans would see it. We need eyes on it. I checked REDG facebook and there were only 60 likes and 17 shares. A Markiplier facebook post or youtube video would have that amount in less than 10 seconds.

Hopefully the marketing machine will get rolling - it surely would help!

There is no denying the past and it sucks, but nothing we say or do will change it.

The big thing that changed things for me this time is Powfolio being developed as a partnership with glowdot. This is going to generate some much needed revenues IMO and should allow some breathing room to accomplish other projects. The glowdot ceo Rick Strom stated beta is is "really really soon" and from beta it will be a really fast turnaround to full release. The markiplier series is also a huge opportunity. I don't believe he's a savior, but when you consider his popularity, this should do well to pay the bills and add to the support of building momentum for bigger projects. GSL is a toss up, but when it does make it out, it is another revenue source.

So, for any others new or considering - it can't go any lower! and I have 3 reasons to stay till at least Aug or Sept: POWFOLIO! MARKIPLIER Series! And unless told otherwise GSL! Have a good evening everyone and can't wait to get that email telling me beta is ready!!! Thedocg

PLEASE can someone update this page to show the latest (Powfolio and Markiplier) news/status? It would be great to add the graphics to this page to showcase what is on the horizon. The latest from Rick Strom is that beta release is "really, really soon!" I think the latest post for Powfolio was simply to show they have it in Android already and perhaps, the full release after beta is going to be in both iOS and Android - which is what may here have said should happen if we want to capitalize on all potentials users. His point of YES, we have it running on both platforms to me is a hint that this is going to be in both forms much faster than previously thought. It would be great if we could have that information posted here on info page to show any new eyes what is on the way.

Great point Tlsmd about no negatives regarding Powfolio at this stage of development. That is very true, I don't recall a single negative point about the app. There have been points about the content it will carry, but that to me is a very fixable issue for the most part and not an issue with the app design itself.

Something has to give though as far as eyes seeing it. Aside from us minority investors or interested parties, there just are not a lot of people aware of this app being development. The "word" is just not out to the masses yet. I do feel this is a major issue with a lack of volume with so much potential on the horizon. I know others are much more experienced in terms of penny land, but from what others have pointed out, and even my limited experience, companies have had some big runs with literally no product at all, just an idea and a PR release. Powfolio is clearly a product. The website shows coming soon to the app store and google play. I think once the PR machine gets going again, this has the potential for a very nice run - in my opinion of course.

I'm not going to argue with you about Benny as a CEO roadtoad, but as far as powfolio, I would love to have it NOW as well. But it's not Benny saying it's not ready, it's the developer and at this point he has a clean slate in my opinion. If he follows the same path as Benny, then we know how this will go. BUT I'm pretty sure that won't be the case as his primary job is software development. As it has been pointed out, it is his bread and butter and they are co-owners of this app, so they are seriously invested in this app being successful - to me that is a HUGE difference as to what Benny has done to this company in the past, and for some, what holds this company back now - it is a side thing for all the board and him. If it was his bread and butter we might not be in this position.

That being said, I love the progress I'm seeing from Glowdot on this app and I'm certainly willing to wait a bit longer. My dad was a auto-mechanic most of his life and in a way it reminds me of a customer coming in and wanting their car now even though all the problems were not fixed. Ya, I could drive it but how fast are we going to start complaining once we find out all the flaws with it. Of course in this case there are some things to be tweaked, but that's the point, Glowdot wants beta to be a very short turnaround - which to me means, just some tweaking and it will be fully ready for launch. Then you just have your routine maintenance instead of fixing on the fly and customers complaining.

The debt story I was talking about it - here is the link. I misunderstood the original news, it was one level above the highly probability of default that 75% of the companies accessing the debt market for the first time are getting, not 75% of the s & p companies - sorry for confusion. Anyway, as I mentioned, just thought this was pretty staggering. Hopefully, our amassing debt won't be a death sentence and redg will get the necessary revenues flowing to get us on top. With the progress of Powfolio and the Markiplier comic - two major leaps to make that happen if/when those revenues get going.

Absolutely correct Tlsmd, get the debt under control. I really liked also that the info came directly from glowdot, which for many here makes the statement much more realistic. On a side concerning debt, I just heard recently (in last week or so) that nearly 75% of the companies listed in the s & p were given a downgraded rating (just above the one that they say makes them highly probable to go to bankruptcy). I will try and find the article and get it linked here when I can. I know many will say this is not the same here and yes I agree there are many differences, I just thought that was pretty staggering in terms of debt. The article did also say that just because they got the rating didn't mean they would go bankrupt. I know one big difference that many here will point out is those companies have a revenue stream. I was just checking the Powfolio update and saw that Rick Strom from Glowdot stated that beta is very soon. Looks like the reason for holding back is to have a shorter beta time. Would be pretty amazing to have this app in full iOS and Android ready for full release at Comic-Con. Not only that but have Markiplier's comic in the app as purchase comic. I agree as well with the other need to get some more word out there about his comic in the stores or other media. thedocg

Speaking of Powfolio, I thought it was great to see that they are moving fast with Android. That would be a huge bonus to have the full release be in both iOS and Android. It didn't sound like it was going to be originally, but this latest post shows that they are moving faster than I thought it was going to be. Honestly, I didn't expect to see any Android version until after the beta of iOS, so to me this is a great step. That being said, nothing is a for sure here until it is actually released and/or on the shelf. BUT, this was nice to see.

Glad to hear it is working out penny. Ameritrade has no trouble with pennies. I trade in both my Roth and regular accounts and have no issues. Hopefully you'll get a boatload of free trades. I asked them for them due to transferring a good chunk of money and they actually double the 250 free trades I thought I was going to get. As I mentioned before, expired in 60 days but still good to get if you trading heavy. I was going to say too, mine was up and ready in about a week and they were very helpful making sure everything was done correctly.

Sorry to hear that news - I've been happy with tdameritrade. I'm sure others may have a different opinion, but have not had any issues with them. I've used them for over 5 years now. The mobile platform on android works well for me as well. When I converted my roth over last year they also gave me 500 free trades, unfortunately only good for 60 days, but still nice. I was able to combine my accounts on ameritrade which made it much more efficient. The tax center is good as well come tax time.

On a side follow up, I definitely agree, with Powfolio Beta so close - don't want to miss when it does have the jump.

Thanks for your opinion about the app. The fact nearly everyone who has seen it feels it is good (albeit from just the videos) makes this even more frustrating. I really hope glowdot releases it regardless. The golden age comics brought back memories of my dad and me watching monster movies every saturday as a kid until hockey night in Canada came on. We didn't have cable but the channels we got had Vincent Price, Abbot and Costello, and Godzilla as regulars. Once we had cable it was the Crypt Keeper. I am really looking forward to getting easy access to all those classics. Of course it will be even better if it fully releases without major issues. All a waiting game at this point.

They won't be getting the Facebook update award that is for sure duke!

But there are two video previews and although they clearly are not ones to post much of anything on Facebook, they did acknowledge the partnership and with the videos I guess we just wait for beta and see.

Question though - if red giant were not involved with this and you are just giving a plus and minus of what the videos have showed - what would be your opinion of the app so far? Granted it's not beta version, and not fully released so I'm sure lots of tweaks along the way. Just curious what you think about the app itself, hypothetical taking redg out of the mindset and just from a purely foundation of the app - what do you think of it? Again just a take on the app itself. I know mentioned it didn't look too bad, when it first released, but if you're just average customer, what would be a plus and minus takeaway from what you've seen so far? Thanks for the post Justafy. Nice to get this reminder back up from Glowdot confirming the status of Powfolio and the partnership with REDG. Some of us saw it when it came out, but many others, especially new, may have not. Beta is coming fast and can't wait! For those coming here new, check out the videos showing the previews of the app.

Thanks for the reply heroguy. I agree that things definitely don't always transfer, as I just saw SooS posted. Can't assume anything - even my point a while back of middle school interest. What they say and what they will do are definitely two different things sometimes, but I still don't underestimate their potential - been working with them too long to do that.

One thing there is no debating is his following and that following is digital. Which is why I think powfolio will have at least a little more chance with his followers. But even that side to me is just a small piece. The app is really showing something for everybody on it - yes, we already know the content is not marvel or dc, etc.. But the foundation is there to add them down the road. I for one do not feel marki is the savior, just a potential piece that could help.

In closing, I too would like some update on GSL. According to the last video, the ad's book way ahead of time roughly 4-6 months I think I heard. That would mean the majority of those sales should be in place by now, and especially by the first of April. I would absolutely love to see a big announcement about a guaranteed release with all ad spots filled. That coupled with powfolio would most definitely get this moving, maybe not to the moon, but I'll take across town, or even out the driveway at this point!

Well just for conversation - those numbers are about 1% of markiplier base. The high end is just under 10% which if 10% decided to grab it its a million already. Unfortunately as others have pointed out downloading and using are two different things.

I still feel this will have a run to it as beta hits and without a doubt once a launch is announced, not just by red giant but by glowdot as well. I guess we'll all know in the next couple weeks for beta then next couple months for GSL and powfolio launch.

Thanks for the reply duke. I noticed tlsmd followed up in regards to the 50/50. I definitely agree with your point of the website except they themselves have already acknowledged the partnership - which to me trumps the general information they share as to the standard protocol of not getting into things 50/50. They clearly state they are in partnership and are clearly producing something or we wouldn't have videos to watch. Yes, I understand it is still pie in the sky because it is not actually released as beta, or for the general population.

My question was about the financials getting resolved with Powfolio. Rickn gave a nice run down in regards to that question and greatly appreciate his take on it. GSL was separate, because at this point, it's not a given till it's on the shelves. That's why I focused on Powfolio because that seems to be very real and very close in terms of actually creating revenue. I'm pretty sure it is No in your opinion though, that Powfolio will have any real impact when it launches, which I respectfully will disagree. I do feel it will have an impact - so long as it launches. TWT (if you don't mind me using tlsmd).

On a side note, I have a friend who's son lives and breathes comics (the son is in his early 20's) and shared the Powfolio vidoes - his first take was 'the content - he sticks with marvel and dc'. But when I simply asked about just the app and the features he loved the streaming and the chat. Once he realized that it was also an open app for all publishers, he really felt that will make a huge difference, because there are definitely a good amount of users for other than the bigs.

I'll follow up again with my stance as to that figure being miniscule when(if) Powfolio goes live. I know there is a lot of speculation as to how its getting paid for - regardless glowdot is 50% in it and if we can get to beta there is no doubt it will launch IMO.

I've always appreciated your stance to the financials and need to get them in line. Would you or others out there agree, those obligations even with the share structure would clear the books so to speak? Yes, I am very aware of dilution, etc... But I'd like to know from those who have provided strong balance to the view point, when(if) Powfolio launches those past financials, settlements would disappear fast. I know some already agree, but would like to hear if you agree with that. IF/WHEN it launches those past issues can get resolved in a hurry?
