Yep, and half of the float is tied up with the directors......they can't sell.
Right? Remember when we had $0 revenue and $100 mil valuation a few years ago?
Man...sure glad we had "hope and dreams" then too.
Must be a full moon. All the goons and goblins are out.
Also think it's funny when people criticize the valuation as it relates to revenue. So $1.7 billion is too big for a company only generating $9 mil last quarter (which excludes mettrum so it's actually closer to $14 mil.)
However, you think that same $9-$14 mil last quarter justifies valuing canopy at $1.2-$1.3 billion????
Gee let me see your crystal ball and math inside - because clearly anyone that has been paying attention knows this company isn't valued based on current quarterly revenues!
So you think that every companies customers orders the exact same amount for the exact same price per gram? That's what your implying?
Which is more likely that everyone is the exact same or that it varies across the sector?
Market share is based off of revenue... not number of shipments or number of customers. canopy sells out and people are forced to load the boat on their orders, instead of smaller frequent orders.
Plus oils are expensive....some companies don't even offer oils yet.
So yes I think it's fair to assume the average dollar amount per canopy order is a larger dollar amount than the industry average...
What happened to partnering with the women's weed lube company?
Number of shipments are different from percentage of the markets revenue. $10 order vs $300 order are not the same thing....

Well I think we know why no LP's have interest in Uruguay....$1.30/gram??!!

Nice...by the way, when edibles get introduced into legislation next week - which weed brand is most prepared?
I think they've already fetched offers ....remember when Snapchat was laughed at from investors for rejecting a $3 billion dollar offer?
And now a couple years later it IPO's at $22 billion.
Worth $24.5 billion tonight
Far different companies but when your CEO believes in what your building you aren't going to accept anything that isn't a grand slam
Definitely an interesting week, share price stuck in the mud while the sector takes off. I agree with you and I think the market does too - the $25 mil private placement seems like a favor to a friend and slap in the face to long-term investors. Would really like to know why it was deemed necessary.....considering they purchased another late stage LP with stock and not cash??? Add-in the fact that current revs are probably under $20 mil this quarter with supply shortages....then the market can justify the short-term bearish sentiment....
That being said, if history repeats itself again we will all be happy. Canopy has a way of timing their news with other industry developments....and I really think it would be terrible not to own canopy April 10 - April 20th. Legislation news compounding with likely canopy PR's AND general cannabis market excitement due to 4-20.....
Waiting on Vert license, goldman grows and all potential developments in Germany, Australia, Brazil or Israel....
We've been disappointed in the share price before - but with that disappointment comes the biggest reward when this thing goes parabolic again.
Understood sir!
Meh, what's the point of being a weed entrepreneur if you don't have some cash on hand to the live the lifestyle? I think he's still pretty well invested....
Green about 5% right now. Definitely fun to track when the North American markets close
Lol..."most definitely not a tweed or canopy lp."
Looks like she lost the battle and the war, should've jumped on board to create an LP 3 years ago
Yeah without context, he seems like a disgruntled ex-employee
What is Rapsey bent out of shape about?
Written by someone with no fore-site or ability to think for themselves. Literally anybody could look at the "numbers" and come to this conclusion.
If you don't consider expanding in Canada & globally as adding value to the company - then clearly you haven't thought this industry through.
True, if only they weren't sold out from medical only so frequently
Seems pretty clear, a big number growing exponentially.
If you were one of the 10,000 going to register for a new company....canopy is the obvious choice with 3 brands to select from. Even when one is low, another will have product coming

Waiting for Vert medical to join the party
I've had him blocked for over a year, the board seems clean and full of quality information
Keeping up with current events? Canada legalization looming? maybe articles in business insider? Maybe snoop? Word of mouth? Bloomberg articles?
Interesting, I'm in the states and I have friends that don't smoke weed or invest in weed and have heard of tweed.
I like that they snuck Israel into the PR, look for them to make headway there soon
I hear yah, losing isn't really an option
For sure. Had 2 of my friends that have "passive interest" in canopy text me and ask me if today was a good day to buy.
I just tell them I'm no expert, but I can't foresee an outcome where the price is lower 6-12 months from now
Good historical buying signal - when it's so bad I don't login to my account for 2-3 days. We are in the loading zone
We are due for positive news on the international front as well as Vert medical license. When are fins out? Going to be a fun spring. Crazy to think this current quarter we will be pushing above $20 mil revenue. Seems like a couple springs ago we were just trying to harvest some weed in a Hershey factory and then the first $milliom dollar quarter.
Another business insider article. They clearly misrepresent a lot of facts, but good exposure

Yes it does...so what should we expect? Pulling for a Vert medical license & announced Expansion via Goldman in at least 2 countries.
Agree, they had ample time to get with an LP 3 years ago. The writing was on the wall for dispensaries but much like our community troll in here, they chose not to read. It was their way or the highway and now it looks like they will be taking the highway...as long as it doesn't leave ontario :(
