And little doubt they're all part of what the MDA looks to for advice. Here's a snippet from their Google: '(DOC) mda proposal evaluation' for the entire document and all Phases.

Non-government advisors may have access to the offeror's proposals, may be utilized to review proposals,and may provide comments and recommendations to the Government's decision makers"
And as we've discussed before "Lawmakers are turning to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as a possible model for how the U.S. Defense Department can stop counterfeit electronic parts from entering the defense supply chain." in addition, "(Sen.) Levin said the MDA's model should be followed by the military services and the Defense Department.
So I most certainly agree with your take, as goes the MDA so goes the DoD.

Hey Mcs, I was pretty much commenting on Keller's 'no other University doing work in the sector' or 'sumthin as such. Other than that I don't believe it's anything but a State Grant to a State University, nothing connected to MDA IMO.
BTW, if you haven't Googled those three ("School/Program") you might find it interesting, all have what you might call "national" recognition in the sector, which I agree will continue to climb, though not to the heights you're betting on:) ('A Buck in September?', really?)

BTW WT, always surprises me that in their rational for use of DNA the DLA, to my knowledge, never really addresses something many here have pointed to as a key reason for use, namely Post Mort analysis of a failed system years down the line... I guess saying it could be a forensic weapon against contractors who provide counterfeit parts in a disaster might have a chilling effect...

A little balance for the New Year...
