Setback for Swedish prawn project Vegafish
Food producing company Findus is closing its production facilities in southern Sweden. The plan was to provide the prawns with protein feed, based on peas, from Findus’ facilities, but due to the closing of the production Vegafish must find another source for their fish feed.
Compared to the YoY revenue development over the last five years, a 7% increase for 2015 seems like a very modest number.
If the company could get a financing once for all so we could reach steady ground, even if this would affect the EPS substantially, it should still give us a reward in terms of a higher valuation.
At some point the trip towards a normal valuation must begin, and I believe a proper financing could be that starting point. And if we could that message across to the market, that "this is where the hockey stick begins", I think that could be the determining factor, to make SIAF great again (pun intended).
So, all we need now is a few guys with deep pockets that share our, Fredly's and Hansson's views and visions.
It's not like I am "expecting" anything. "To not be surprised" if something occurs is not equal to "expect"
Glad to hear you liked it. It was a great opportunity to get SIAF's message out to potential investors all over the world. After all, what dr Ostrowski is sharing is nothing less than dynamite.
After the public presentation, we had the opportunity to socialize with Dr Ostrowski and his entourage. In the following discussions it was implied that they will probably be able to catch up the mega farm delays and reach the development time plan.
Also, I would not be surprised (just my personal interpretation, not Dr O's) if they even surpass it at some point and deliver the production volumes sooner than we have expected.
Here is a video from Dr Anthony Ostrowski's presentation in Stockholm March 4, 2016.
The SIAF APRAS Model: A Paradigm Shift in 21st Century Aquaculture
Challe, will you be attending the Ostrowski-presentation on Friday in Stockholm? Would be nice to meet you.
I really hope we could get a video from the Ostrowski-presentation at the North Atlantic Seafood Forum. It will be a great chance for SIAF to reach the investor community with their message. I really hope they don't ignore the opportunity.
I suggested that to him a long time ago. But as you know, this company doesn't exaggerate their marketing.
Isn't everything?
Probably the fastest way to go from P/E<3 to P/E>300.
"we could see $11” - Very good prediction.
”I don't expect a listing in Oslo any time soon” - Not so good prediction.
This is what Avanza replied to my inquiry regarding margin trading and conversion of shares from the US to Norway:
Hej,
Avanza
The conversion shouldn't be a problem.
But I do hope that my fellow shareholders will help me to express that it is unacceptable if we will have to wait until May(!) before we get any margin trading in SIAF. If Avanza cannot offer margin trading before May, we will miss out a tremendous opportunity. We should actually consider changing stock broker to someone that offers better service, because this is an outright business opportunity for many of us. We have been loyal clients with Avanza for many years, waiting for the day to come when SIAF finally will take off towards a proper valuation. And this opportunity will simply be missed if Avanza will not offer us margin trading until May. Avanza needs to step up and show that they value their long time clients by offering good services. Please send your message to Avanza that this is a very important issue for all SIAF-shareholders and that we expect them to solve this far sooner than May.
Should be interesting to see if Swedish brokers will offer margin trading for shares on Merkur Market. Avanza are offering margin trading of up to 40% of the value for shares listed on similar unregulated markets in Sweden.
I just sent them an inquiry about it.
YOUR BEST GUESS FOR 2016
December 30, 2016 the closing price for SIAF will be
A) <15
B) 15-40
C) 40.01-65
D) 65.01-90
E) >90
Famous last words.
I would say that is quite an achievement, to reach 86 after dying from lung cancer. Extraordinary people these Norwegians.
RD is ill?
Oslo Seafood Index (OSLFSX) is composed of eleven companies. Nine of these have got a positive P/E. The average P/E for these nine companies is currently about 28.
Highest P/E= 66 (MHG)
Lowest P/E=14 (BAKKA)
Thanks RD. I believe that the aquaculture company listed in Oslo will have a professional management as well as an internal organisation that will meet the demands of a listed company. That means that we will get rid of the problem that more or less every decision must go through one single man.
And what might the revenues be in a few years according to your estimates?
OK let us all agree on that if it can make you happy enough to remove the outdated embarrassing sticky.
That's what I'm saying. Everyone don't subscribe to the company press releases. Strange timing to kill the links today.
Anyway, here is the information how to connect, either by phone or web.
Not the best timing to remove the links from www.sinoagrofood.com
People probably try to look for information on the website how to connect to the CC.
Well then, looks like I was right in my assumption.
I agree with you. That is my feeling too. Could it be Norwegians? I am sure Arctic have got a lot of buddies with deep pockets.
You sell SIAF at 10 months low, to buy Clavister at all time high?
A guarantee provided by joenatural - it's not like I would take it to the bank.
NJM and Swede. It seems like the links to many of the photos on this website are no good.
I guess we have some big boys taking large positions at a cheap price prior to an uplisting.
Everything is positive for the company, except for the share price.
