What "false hoopla" are you referring to? The displays shown recenctly at CES are prototypes not mass produced models. Has anyone disclosed a contract for tonnage of qdots? That is what it will take to supply the display market...Keep Calm and Carry On!!!
There isn't a lot of options to go around for QDOT suppliers, in particular who has demonstrated the ability to mass produce? I can only think of one. If LG has Nanoco locked up where does that leave Samsung? Curious as to how you arrived at the $80 a gram when dismissing Beacher99? At this point all we can go by is the facts which Beacher pointed out.
Samsungs new SUHD Quantum dot TVs are receiving glowing reviews. OLED look out!

If QMC can flow process non heavy metal qdots using the Bayer IP all bets are off..LG may have used Nanoco produced dots for their prototype units but when full production amounts are needed I believe we will be the clear leader in all criteria.
Seeing new articles constantly regarding CES and quantum dot technology in displays.
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2014/12/top-5-tv-trends-for-ces-2015/index.htm
OLED is on the back burner...even LG has gone quiet on that front...bodes well for QMC as our proven flow reactor process can scale up to meet manufacturer demands...I'm talking tonnage not mere kilo gram quantities!
CES articles currently circulating are educating consumers on the benefits of quantum dots to emerging technologies. This will undoubtedly bring new investors on board.
Haven't seen any contracts from Nanoco so explain their SP. Ramping up in all areas just like they are... In my opinion we are extremely undervalued at this point we should be $1 based on Bayer IP / Proven flow reactor technology / San Marcos facilities (which are confirmed to be expanding) / key hiring of reputable scientists (ask yourself why would them come on board...hmmm) buying at these levels is a gift... 2015 is our year I have no doubt.
Well stated Hawk. Appreciate you passing the news to the board. My thoughts and prayers go out Lee's family as they go through this difficult time.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least Canaccord are a bunch of crooked bast@rds...check the following post I found on IHUB regarding Canaccord..they have a strong motive to hold QMC down..

Think long term..read this article

Quantum dots are getting consumer and commercial recognition..TVs are ONE of many many more avenues to revenues. The $.15 SP doesn't bother me at all as the future is looking incredible for QTMM shareholders. I believe we are still in the game for supplying to TV manufacturers as Dow/Nanoco has yet prove they can build the planned facility and produce NHM qdots in high quality and quantity.
How about some evidence to support your claims? What is the scam exactly? (Some form of evidence) Who is involved?(With actual names to support your case please) Thanks
Light volume and also doubt there will be anything this week due to thanksgiving in the US everyone pretty much shuts down.
Crunch and I are heading to the conference tomorrow. If permissable I will post up a video on the Facebook site of Dr. Jabbours speech and any other noteworthy information
Current in house reactor has delivered higher than initially expected results. Additional reactors can be added to run in parallel to increase production until the larger reactor is in place and tested. Nancoco and Dow have indicated a larger facility would be built BUT there is no assurance a scaled up beaker line would function without issues. QMC reactor technology has been proven. It's a big leg up in my opinion.
Awesome work Crunch! thanks for taking the initiative. Next week should be interesting as this information goes out to Torrey Hills database of clients. Lets not get sidetracked by posters that are trying to derail this great news. GLTA
Agreed Ted. Timely filings may not seem like much but it's the little things that build credibility. I see a steady progression of positive steps. IMO we will have at least one contract this quarter.
Anyone else on the board going to this event? Perhaps we can arrange a get together. Crunch and I will be attending.

Chart is looking good, building some momentum. News would be most welcome right now. I didn't join in on the $1 guessing game but with 40...50? lines in the water I feel QMC will land a big fish before year end. GLTA.
Great post. Agree with your thoughts but wanted to add lighting to the equation I believe it will be a major revenue stream. Picture Las Vegas strip illuminated with Qdot lighting ..huge energy savings with enhanced lifespans.
This latest financial picture isn't pretty I don't care what your revenues are if your losses are over 9 million. I think Crunch is just trying to compare the two companies with QMC as the future leader.
For the twelve months to July, pre-tax loss totaled 9.06 million pounds, wider than loss of 5.04 million pounds a year earlier. The company noted that the higher payroll and other operational spend was associated with commercialising its technology in the display market.
After-tax loss widened to 7.81 million pounds or 3.65 pence per share, from a loss of 4.12 million pounds or 2 pence per share a year earlier. Adjusted basic loss per share was 3.38 pence, compared to 1.58 pence a year ago.
The adjusted operating loss for the year was 8.68 million pounds, wider than prior year's loss of 4.45 million pounds.
Total research and development spend, which primarily includes the employment costs of technical staff, increased by 1.11 million pounds to 5.18 million pounds.
Annual revenues plunged to 1.43 million pounds from 3.93 million pounds a year earlier. According to the firm, part of the revenue reduction was due to the absence of prior year's $1 million received in 2013 from Dow Chemical Co. (DOW: Quote) which was paid following the signing of the licence agreement in January 2013.
The are so many pokers in the fire..somethings going to come out red hot soon..
Respectfully, what hard hitting questions were you hoping for? This is exactly what I was expecting, an introduction to QMC. Asking overly complicated questions would most likely result in new investors tuning out and missing the message entirely. Good exposure in my opinion..I agree the PR was a bit of a let down, it would have meant more if there had been a announcement of improved solar cell efficiency. GLTA
I think you answered your own question..it isn't a table saw that's why it mostly likely has high depreciation. .In 10 years you will still be making cabinets with the same old saw that does the job but 10 years from now in the quantum dot field QMC will be producing 1000s of KG per day so this reactor will probably be in the QMC museum with a plaque stating "first million made"
10K is solid. There is no need to spin anything. Business plan moving ahead, next stop contracts and revenues..
Thanks Bill. We are at the forefront of an emerging technology. I view the Nanoco news as a huge plus for QMC as it confirms quantum dot applications are ready for market. How long can other manufacturers sit on the sidelines?
Awesome find Hawk. Could LG be where our samples went? If we are supplying enough product for 60,000 screens per month the share price is going to explode.
Lasers 'Grown' Directly on Silicon-Based Microchips DARPAhttp://app.pddnet.com/news/2014/09/lasers-grown-directly-silicon-based-microchips
Displays are only one small part of what qdots can and will be used in. I believe SSL, solar and biomedical will be the real cash cows.
Guess you're not interested in a piece of this?
And according to Touch Display Research, the quantum-dot materials market is projected to grow from $70 million in 2013 to $9.6 billion in 2023.
Only two public companies to invest in that I'm aware of..
It would be interesting to know how much Bayer spent developing the IP QMC just acquired. Like you mentioned priceless comes to mind..but in real world dollars QMC has advanced their tech portfolio immensely. We are so undervalued at this moment it's crazy...
What the heck are you talking about ..it's right in the PR?? What's private about that lol..still stand by my view.. cash "agreement"
I read "cash settlement" ... no mention of royalties or additional monetary compensation!
Do you think Bayer would sell patents to QMC before a through review of the company and board of directors?? NO! This will still be a feather in Bayer's cap when we utilize technology developed by them en route to becoming the world leaders in quantum dot technology
"Bayer Technology Services has been successfully working in the field of nanotechnology for more than 30 years . We are very happy that Quantum Materials is also using our patents to invest into new markets Bayer is not focusing on," adds Dr. Guenter Bachlechner, Head of Technology Development and Senior Vice President of Bayer Technology Services GmbH.
Like most fans they don't understand the journey it takes to be a winner..There are struggles and setbacks along the way.. Steve analyzes the ice from behind the net and sets out.. Art between the pipes nods as he heads up the ice.. bobs, weaves ..feeds the QDPuck up to the reliable two way center Chris.. Chris dishes off to the streaking Toshi on right wing...Steve crosses the blue line ...Toshi dishes off to Steve who spots a opening top shelf over the goalies shoulder...
High five!
3 years here and you still don't know what you own?? ;)
The only change I would make is to the margin % I don't see a lot of overhead in the production process...Each to their own.. just my 2 cents..
