Zeev, I think you forgot to post your last exit on CCMP.
Did you cover at 1022?
CNBC claimed that the sudden drop was caused by index rebalancing rather than any news.
$38.69 on KLAC looks like a typo.
Zeev, if CCMP does not get in the black by the close, will you go to sleep with it?
Zeev, I was wondering if you have posted what rules to use in setting stop loss levels? I did a search on "Zeev stop loss" and found threse two, but am not sure if those cover all of the scenarios.

Are the stop losses on the Dow gambit on a closing basis as well?
I'm doing all of them. There's no point in opting for a relatively conservative strategy like the Dow Gambit and then blowing it with individual stock risk.
For those who bought EK at 38, would you recommend selling now for a lower reentry, or would it be better to wait for breakeven to sell?
Looks like the ATM is broken.
Zeev, I have to apologize for that. All I have to do is think about following you into a trade and it goes sour. I'm thinking of changing my screen name to "Jynx."
So what are you saying - that you can never criticize people you respect?
I agree that ajtj has a lot of worthwhile observations. That, after all, is why he's one of the two people I have bookmarked on here.
I agree. That's why it amuses me any time someone implies (after the fact of course) that a market move was obviously going to happen.
Naturally, I would take very seriously anyone who says beforehand what moves are obvious, and consistently turns out to be right. <g>
It's the battle of the prognosticators! <g>
You win the prize!
Sorry for ruffling your feathers, but this morning it was all "could" and "usually." "Pretty compelling" didn't come until after the fact.

Easy to say after the fact.
Does that mean you exited KLAC?
I've been wondering, what are the Palestinian refugee camps like? Are they just a bunch of tents?
What prevents the Palestinians from leaving? Are they shot? Arrested?
How are the refugees kept alive? Who feeds them? Or do they have jobs that they go to where they can make a living?
Would they buy back shares even though they did not issue options?
Whatever you think the purpose is, buybacks have the effect of offsetting dliution.
Personally, I think they should expense buybacks instead of options.
The tech company I used to work for concentrated their buy backs during periods when their sector was out of favor. Hopefully CSCO and MSFT did the same. I would be surprised if you could find evidence to the contrary.
Wouldn't you have to take into account the number of shares that had been issued through option plans and employee stock purchase plans? You shouldn't think of stock buy backs as a tax free dividend unless they exceed the dilution from the above plans.
Zeev, I have noticed that the Comp and the SPX usually move in the same direction. Do the turnips take into account support and resistance levels on the SPX, or only the Comp? The reason I'm asking is that I have long suspected that the SPX is the one that is really in the "driver's seat." Doesn't it represent a larger percentage of total market cap than the Comp?
Looks to me like Zeev is not the only one with a big ego.
Trolling?
Zeev admits his mistakes. That's more than can be said of some market timers I know.
Note for the reader: "secular" should read "cyclical" in that post.
Zeev, what is glass wind?
That article is over a year old.
I notice that link says "Article Withdrawn" now.
How do you justify calling the reservations death camps?
Who decides which civilians are innocent?
Zeev, I disagree - I think it's going to 1222.21 <g, d, & r>
"They" seem to be trying to get through that 1347 resistance area today.
Köszönet!
(I hope I got that right!)
Zeev could you translate this Hungarian for me? <g>
"I think we are going to go back down and start not too far from here"
I not sure what you mean by "start" in this context.
Thanks.
Thanks for the QQQ volume info. Is there a Web link for such data?
45% more new lows than new highs on the NASDAQ so far, so I presume you are not seeing the improvement that you thought would be necessary for a continuation of the rally. I don't have a link for historical volume of the NASDAQ Composite, but QQQ volume seems about in line with previous days, and seems to be falling as the day wears on.

Zeev, one of your mottos is "If TA and FA disagree, believe the TA." I wonder if the turnips might not need to take FA into account to a greater degree? For example, one could argue (with 20/20 hindsight, I admit) that it didn't make sense to argue for a pullback during earnings season, especially considering that the number of negative earnings warnings was decreasing relative to previous quarters. What are your thoughts on this?
When I look at a three-month chart, 1222-ish certainly looks more plausible next month than it does in the next two days.

I've been kicking myself for not paying more attention to the $BPCOMPQ chart that ajtj likes.

Are you abandoning your "mild bearish attitude," or will the timeframe just get pushed out?
