I'll even make sure the flames are out.
Too Funny!
We really need to pray that some Hedge Fund does not come by and take all our profits again.
I should have bought more. I was chicken.
LEA is making it's way to $2.
Agree with you on LEA. Reentered at $1.49 only for 1000 shares. Placed a stop at the entry price today.
It looks like they want it over $1.
Gooooo Freddie. We all have been waiting so long for this.
Fre is moving quickly this morning.
I guess they will be getting coal for Xmas.
EEV great entry. I'm in EEV at 79.99 with an order to add at $77. Covering my bases.
It's about time!
Out UYG 5.20 with 3.68 cost average. Thanks Chart for the great call. I needed that one.
Rawnoc: Your views on the delisting would be appreciated.
Opps meant 3.45.
UYG joined you with 500 shares 4.45. Will add if it goes lower.
EEV drops real hard. Let's see how hard it goes. Last drop was to 75.55.
I was thinking EEV.
ETF's with dividends.
Here is a link QuillandPenn was kind enough to post:

Quillandpenn,
Thank you for your time. I think the dividend stocks are a great way to go with my 401K. I can buy more with the monthly dividend I would recieve plus I can look forward to them going up in price again in the future. I plan to cost average them in since the market is so volatile.
By the way, do you live in Philadelphia?
Chris,
I have been in both AUY and GLD. I like gold but not sure it's time yet. Funny, I was thinking about AUY since it's so cheap. I've been investing for a while. Now, I call it surviving.
Thanks Chris,
I am not happy but optimistic about making some of my losses back in the next year. I'm only 56 LOL. I have some friends that are riding it out. At least I am prepared to be proactive and fight back.
I really like the ETF's. Also looking at MTR and CRT. I saw them on one of the links QuillPenn posted. Very high dividends and I think that's the way I am going for my 401K. Need to do a little research on them.
I plan to follow Chart's lead with the ETF's and invest smaller amounts until I feel more comfortable with the market. I really appreciate his devotion to this board besides his knowledge.
I just cashed out almost all of my stocks in my 401K and my borkerage account. Thank Chart for your warning. I should have done it 2 months ago.
It will be interesting to see how the Big 3 bail out pains out. The Union was a major contributor in Obama's compain. One hand washes the other. I will really pissed if my tax dollars go to their retirement plan when mine took such a major hit.
It will be interesting to see how the UAW will effect Congress since they were a major contributor in Obama's campaign. One hand washes the other. I know I don't want my taxes to go to their retirement fund when my retirement fund is not looking so hot right now.
Everything is getting hammered.
Their testing platforms are so awesome. I have them in my 401K and know they have blown out numbers in the quaterly reports. I don't remember what happened last quarter but they took a dive. They spend alot on R&D.
Another good one is Illumina. ILMN.
I have been following this forum since you started. Thank you for all the time you spend here teaching us.
I don't post here often but LMNX is one of my favorite medical stocks along with HOLX. I think I posted about them a couple of months ago.
HOLX just successfully completed their HPV trials and is waiting for FDA approval for this tests. Millions of women have HPV testing done when they have PAPs. Mega business. They will be competing with Digene the only test that has FDA approval. HOLX test is at a molecular leve which makes it more specific the Digene which means women will not have to undergo unnecessary biopsies.
I know about these companies because I was in medical device/diagnostic sales.
I am more of a holder. However,I do have some trading shares that I sell once I have 1K profit on my whole position. I hold nice size positions in this stock in my 401K and my brokerage account.
Could be. It's been holding 2 pretty well through all the mess.
If it does, I'll be adding.
I'm in with you at 6.46 for a few. I think I like these ETF plays.
Me too. I'm still in. Just not buying more at any level.
That's why we hurt. I'm long here. Once they receive their funds from the gov't this may start to go up again. Who knows.
The market is so volatile right now, I just don't know what to think or say.
Freddie Mac (FRE 0.73) reported a massive $25 billion net loss in its third quarter. As a result, shareholders now have negative $13.8 billion in equity and the company is asking for funds from the government.
FYI If you have not already seen this. This may cause another great buying opportunity.
The $19.44 per share loss was due to a noncash charge of $14.3 billion related to the company no longer believing it will make a profit in time to utilize its deferred tax assets, $9.1 billion in security impairments and $6.0 billion in credit-related expenses.
Because of the shareholder equity deficit, Freddie Mac's regulator is asking the Treasury for $13.8 billion as part of the Sept. 7 conservatorship plan that gave Freddie access to up to $100 billion in preferred stock purchases by the Treasury. The company expects to receive the funds by Nov. 29.
Larger government-sponsored enterprise Fannie Mae (FNM 0.62) lost $29 billion in its third quarter.
I added to LEA also. 1K at 1.60. Will add more if it goes below 1.55. Hope it doesn't.
Hmmmm, I think I'll wait. It's getting uglier out there by the minute.
I have a buy at .77. Let's see if history repeats itself. Nothing makes sense anymore.
Correction 1.91 closing.
I have 1.89 close Fidelity.
You would need to have a margin account to trade in and out without powder.
