(OTCBB:AEMD) announced today that it has entered into a private
placement agreement with Fusion Capital Fund II, LLC for the sale of
1,000,000 shares of its common stock for an aggregate purchase price
of $500,000.00. The Company did not grant any registration rights or
issue any warrants in connection with this transaction. The private
placement agreement does not contain any anti-dilution provisions or
restrictions on future financings. The $500,000.00 net proceeds
received by the Company under the private placement agreement will be
used for working capital and general corporate purposes. In addition,
the Company announced that it has mutually agreed with Fusion Capital
to terminate their March 2007 common stock purchase agreement. "Fusion
has so far provided Aethlon with almost $4 million in funding over our
four year relationship," said James A. Joyce, CEO of Aethlon. "Fusion
remains a large shareholder and we value and appreciate our long
standing relationship and their continued support of our endeavors." A

A few of the positive aspects of beginning with Color Splash include its sponsorship by Home Depot for possible future tie-ins, “affordable” (in the sense that the word can be used for any form of TV advertising), flexibility for schedule changes, specific focus to painting (and thereby to the clean-ups that ensue), and other factors.

Purio (OTCBB: PURO) is pleased to announce that it has finalized arrangements to demonstrate the versatility and capability of its patented technology and equipment to the world over the spring and summer months of 2008.
"We plan a two-phase demonstration over the next ninety days," says Earl Switenky, spokesman for Purio. "The first phase of the demo period will be an extension of the 'Drinking Water Production' test that was initiated in late 2007. This previous test run proved the transportable technology's capability to economically produce safe drinking water from a polluted source. This year's run will give us an opportunity to design and demonstrate the entire process train at full capacity of nearly 38,000 LPD, (10,000 USGPD) per module. Since our demo unit has two modules on the skid the total capacity would be about 75,000 LPD. That's a significant amount of safe drinking water per day!" says Switenky.
The second phase of the demonstration will focus on the Purio unit's capability to reclaim residential wastewater by clarifying and sanitizing it. Purio has reached an agreement with the Town of Meath Park for the hosting of this demonstration. The equipment used will be the same equipment as was used in phase one. Meath Park will provide the location for the demonstration which is adjacent to the present sewage lagoons. The process is designed to produce product water that will meet safe-disposal standards and will be suitable for irrigation.
Albert Roode, councilor and spokesman for the Village of Meath Park, says, "Our village council is pleased to host the Purio demonstration. We will be monitoring the project with great interest because, like many other smaller communities in North America, we are looking for potential cost-saving advantages that this newer technology may provide to our already stretched maintenance and expansion budgets."
Purio's patented process has a distinct advantage in that it uses no membrane style filters. This design feature helps to keep costs down and flow-through capacity high by utilizing a mechanical clarification system.
Switenky says, "Inquiries from many countries around the world are arriving regularly and we are looking forward to the opportunity of meeting delegations from countries and regions around the globe."

This memo is intended to clarify the status of account listings for Winning Brands products. I am providing this update as a courtesy to shareholders because it is common knowledge that since 2007 Winning Brands has been targeting the month of April 2008 to secure a significant retail banner in the United States either for a national listing or the commencement of a formal regional test..
This is to confirm that the company has been in discussion with a number of U.S. retailers regarding the listing of Winning colours® Stain Remover, KIND™ Laundry Products and CLEAN1™ Outdoor Cleaner. It is enormously difficult to balance the desire by shareholders to know things on a current basis with the desire (and expectation) by discussion partners that business arrangements are confidential. As a general principle, Winning Brands has been very forthcoming about its various initiatives but has encountered feedback from discussion partners that people identifying themselves as shareholders are contacting such parties directly and making enquiries about the status of these discussions. The effect of such calls, visits and other forms of contact is to create concern by the prospects that the business relationship will be complicated by non-trade issues.
The plain and simple fact of the matter as at April 3, 2008 is that although the company has not yet received permission by its discussion partners to announce the commencement of a business relationship, there are listing negotiations underway. Such negotiations involve more than merely a decision of whether to put the product(s) “on the shelf”, but also a variety of detailed vendor agreement particulars including:
Will the account be supplied directly or through a distributor
Whose personnel will be used for detailing and in-store training
Which promotional allowances will be applicable
Is there any form of exclusivity associated with the status of first/lead retailer

Shockingly Weak Earnings
Taser (TASR:Nasdaq) announced very disappointing results this morning and shares are set to open sharply lower. We are pushing our rating to a Two here, but will wait until after the conference call -- scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EDT -- before making any decisions regarding what to do with our current model portfolio position.
Taser announced first-quarter earnings of 2 cents a share on revenue of $22.5 million. These numbers were both sharply lower than the 5 cents in earnings and $26 million in revenue that analysts were expecting. Based on previous announcements, which include 12 separate product orders from law enforcement agencies since mid-January, Taser's weak results are very surprising.
The company does not offer guidance, and management has offered little reasoning behind the miss in its press release. We will report back to readers shortly after the call with more details.
They're aiming the same guerilla marketing strategy they'll be using on the product at us investors... creating the attitude.. and it's working

Aethlon Medical to Pursue U.S. Government Biodefense Contract

SAN DIEGO, Apr 23, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Aethlon Medical, Inc. (AEMD)announced today that it will submit a contract response to a BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT (BAA) solicitation entitled "Application of Platform Technologies for the Development of Therapeutic Agents for Biodefense". This solicitation (DMID-NIAID-NIHAI20080022BARDA) represents a partnership between the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the recently established Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to award contracts that fund the development and evaluation of innovative approaches to treat NIAID category A, B and C bioterror threats. Contract recipients will be awarded up to five years of funding directed toward activities including, research, clinical programs, and the establishment of large-scale manufacturing protocols. The submission deadline is June 4, 2008. A significant emphasis of the contract solicitation is to aid in the development of broad-spectrum therapies able to demonstrate effectiveness against multiple bioterror pathogens and toxins.
"Based on pre-clinical data and human treatment experience, I believe our Hemopurifier(R) is the most advanced broad-spectrum treatment for viral pathogens identified as bioterror threats," stated James A. Joyce, chairman and CEO of Aethlon Medical. To reinforce the broad spectrum capabilities of the Hemopurifier(R), Aethlon's contract response will include in vitro effectiveness data against Dengue hemorrhagic fever, Ebola hemorrhagic fever, Lassa hemorrhagic fever, H5N1 avian influenza (Bird Flu), the reconstructed 1918 influenza virus, West Nile virus, Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Hepatitis-C virus (HCV), and vaccinia and monkeypox, which both represent models associated with human smallpox infection.
The BAA solicitation also emphasizes that candidate treatment countermeasures will complete a phase I human safety study within a five-year contract period. To comply with this stipulation, Aethlon's contract response will include human safety data from clinical programs conducted at the Apollo Hospital and the Fortis Hospital, both in Delhi, India. Additionally, Aethlon will provide the investigational device exemption (IDE) already submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that requests permission to initiate human safety studies of the Hemopurifier(R) as a broad-spectrum treatment countermeasure against select bioterror and pandemic threats. As human efficacy studies against bioterror threats are not permissible for obvious humanitarian reasons, the demonstration of safety remains the sole regulatory challenge in humans. Aethlon plans to request permission to initiate the IDE-related human study soon after its contract response to the BAA solicitation.
"Now that broad-spectrum therapies have evolved to become a focal point of U.S. biodefense programs, I am optimistic that the BAA contract solicitation will be the first of several opportunities to collaborate with our government to advance the commercialization of our Hemopurifier(R) as a treatment against some of the world's deadliest pathogens," stated Joyce. "Additionally, successful navigation of these opportunities may reduce our future dependence on financing from the financial markets," concluded Joyce.
Virtually all of the pathogens considered to be material bioterror threats are untreatable with traditional drug and vaccine therapies. Effective treatments are either non-existent, of limited usefulness, or vulnerable to both naturally emerging and intentionally engineered pathogens. Innovative therapies offering broad-spectrum activity against different classes of microbes could potentially be effective against both traditional and non-traditional threats. Broad-spectrum therapies also provide the possibility that a limited number of treatment countermeasures could replace the need for the staggering number of pathogen-specific drugs that would be required for emergency use in bioterror and pandemic threat programs. Additionally, broad-spectrum strategies that are able to overcome drug resistance could extend the clinical utility of existing therapies. For these reasons, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently mandated that therapies able to demonstrate broad-spectrum effectiveness against multiple pathogens are to be the focal point of government programs that fund the development and commercialization of countermeasures against bioterror and pandemic threats. Purio further intends to use its proprietary technology to produce potable water for commercial and residential use. Purio will commercialize its technology via a number of channels, namely licensing strategic partners to build and sell &/or operate units outside of North America, outright sale of their second generation (patent pending) units to end users and will build, own and operate on a fee for service basis their larger permanent installation units in North America.
