So anyone else think we might get a "surprise" PR this week?
The likely topics would be:
1. Announcing new drill results/progress
2. Announcing that a second (or third) drill has been arranged or has arrived on property to expedite the drilling program
3. Update on the status of financials
4. Something else I'm not thinking of......
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller...
Well said Norton...
And FWIW I think we see a green week this week with increased volume from last week. Our volatility seems to have calmed down (a bi-product of the lower volume perhaps?) so maybe we can steadily climb into the low-teens this week, assuming no NR's...
This is an excellent time for accumulation by the longs as we establish a new base...then we'll likely get a couple juicy little releases from Scott & co. re/ further drill results/assays or perhaps about something on the financial side. We might see a little spike on a "surprise" news release. We seem to see price declines more often than not on the heels of a highly anticipated PR, so maybe unexpected ones will achieve the opposite result? Just spitballing here...
Thanks dolphintom...
You said, "Everyone has their different methods of trading or investing using TA but the idea is to buy stocks that are trending up and be out of those that are trending down."
...or, as is the case with SRSR, the idea is to stay in a stock where you have 100% confidence that the share price will be multiple "bags" higher than its current price...and, that you really don't want to be out of it (thus forced to chase) when it does another one of it's patented unexpected rocket rides north.
That's just my philosophy though. I suppose if you want to flip in and out and make smaller profits each time, I congratulate those who are able to do so. I don't have the ability to watch things closely enough (nor do I have the TA understanding necessary) to flip in and out.
I have 100% confidence in my long-term holdings with SRSR and don't plan on selling a single share - only to add if our price drifts south (don't believe it will significantly). I will only look to build my position here and maybe sell a few on the next big run up and get something special for the wife. But as I've said before - this is a "retirement" stock for me and my family, and flipping for small to moderate profits isn't going to do it for me.
All the best in your trading dolphintom. I honestly hope you don't get caught on the outside looking in for the next run (I don't think you will - you seem smart enough to know when something big might be coming!). Take care friend.
Well there's an analogy for the ages...Nice one Threw-er!
You're right though. We just need to weather these storms. When we see a hurricane coming, it may be rough for a short period of time but we've got to rest assured that there is a bright, sunny day waiting on the other side...Let's just hope that SRSR has more sunny days than cloudy/rainy ones.
Have a good one brother.
Nice one mw2006tn.
In the absence of news (never in the absence of FUNDAMENTALS here though) it's interesting to look at how we trade based on different technical indicators.
Now, being a novice at TA, I'm curious what would you say is the most "accurate" chart in your opinion? 60 minute, daily, weekly? That's something that's always been a little perplexing is that common indicators (say, a MACD or RSI, etc) don't necessarily run in line with one another based on the time period of the candlesticks.
Perhaps this is part of the reason that some strict fundamentalists look at TA like it's some sort of voodoo. It seems sometimes that TA guys will just go to the most "convenient" chart to try to prove a trend. It seems that sometimes a TA believer creates a theory and then looks for a chart to validate it.
We don't need to start the FA v. TA debate here - not the intent of my post...I'm just curious what you have found to be the most accurate of the charts and indicators when trying to predict a new trend (up or down) for SRSR.
TIA for any help you can give me understanding some of the finer points of TA when it comes to our baby here.
Have a good one.
Alright guys, update time...
Not much exciting news from Merle. He confirmed that they are drilling as much as they can in the Hawke zone, as per the NR. On site, as of right now, there is still just the one drill. He would not elaborate on plans to add more in the near future.
We've had a ton of stormy weather up here in Ontario, so he said that they are drilling as much as possible (couldn't say for certain how many days out of the last 10 for sure as he's based in BC, not ON), but that they'll be drilling so long as it doesn't become unsafe for them to do so.
Other than that, nothing to report. I don't even bother to ask about financials, financing, or future developments, as Merle really is a "when there's news, we'll release it in a NR" kinda guy - which you have to appreciate. No pump here. Just the facts. No insider info. Just the facts. No spilling the beans. Just the facts. That is the responsibility he is charged with and he consistently does his job...at times it may be a bit frustrating as I, myself, think there are some questions that should be answered without "breaking any rules" but that's for the company to decide, not you or I.
So, once again, we wait. Just know that drills are turning. Progress is being made. And though Merle cannot confirm this, I am confident progress is being made on the financial side of the business as well. There's no way Scott is just sitting in a lawn chair watching the guys drill up there. You've gotta think he's working the phones, working his contacts, guaging market value and interest for our little gem.
Any day now we could have one sweet surprise of a NR with info that none of us are even expecting. And THAT may be the NR that defies our propensity to "sell on news". I'm kinda thinking it will be!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks.
Just fired off an email to Merle to see if I could get a couple lingering questions answered about the drill program at Nemegosenda. He typically plays things very close to the chest and doesn't divulge any info that needs to wait for an official NR.
If I get anything back worthwhile that he hasn't asked to keep in confidence, I will post it here for all.
But my educated guess is that drill(s) continue to turn, the company continues to negotiate (or at the very least keep a keen eye on) terms for possible financing, private placement, jv's, off-takes, and the like.
Also, the auditors we contracted are likely working on the company's financials. I don't believe they are "audited financials" for the sole purpose of uplisting at this time, as the cost for doing such is significant (and possibly not within our company's means at present)...but I could be wrong here.
This was never going to be a short-term play if you're looking for maximum reward. I've been in this now coming up on two years and don't mind one bit continuing to hold (and add) for another two years - or longer - if that's what it takes. I have the luxury of still being relatively young and am fortunate enough to not be in a position right now where I am in desperate NEED of the money.
I'm holding for the big payday where I can let my wife retire (I will continue to work b/c I enjoy it) and we can travel to all those destinations we thought at one point were only a pipe dream. That's my incentive here. Not to sell now, pay down part of my mortgage and buy a decent car. No way - not enough. Bigger and better things here for sure. This was once a "lottery ticket" play (back in Fall of '07) and it has since turned into much more than that. The odds of this being a "retirement" stock are VERY high and I have trust in Scott and co. to make that happen for my immediate family AND my SRSR family (you guys know who you are).
Hold strong. Keep your faith in our team. Revisit the DD. Trust it. We're all in for a very exciting (and profitable) next several months.
Curious if any of our longs have some dry powder to fire at this puppy today? I think I recall homey_g saying he might have some funds clearing today to grab another chunk...But are you others who have been here 1 year+ still firing away when possible?
Would be interesting to know what % of our volume can be attributed to long/strong IHUBers...
No offense go, but I like Inscore's b/a better! haha
Well...kinda...all this talk of mandatory gap filling has me thinking that a slow, steady rise really might be better for the long-term health of our PPS...but wtfdik?
Well that is some analogy Threw...
Thanks for that post - it's always interesting to see how someone else puts things into perspective with a long-term outlook.
FWIW I agree 100%...More "gold metals" in our future, that's for certain!
of course they have, tr! their hindsight, much like yours and mine, is 20/20...it's easy to look like a genius AFTER a move has begun to unfold...these guys are hilarious and i feel badly for anyone who actually puts any stock (pardon the pun) in what they're shoveling
how's the job going, btw? you still able to check in on our baby here intra-day?
Hey guys - I'm back from IHUB prison!
Thanks to all of you who sent PMs urging me to come back as one of the longs who could help to "reclaim our board". Things certainly did get a bit ridiculous around here a couple weeks ago and I got caught up in the hoopla, lost my composure and probably deserved my suspension. For that, I apologize.
Anyways, as far as the stock goes, I'm loving how it has been trading. These are healthy corrections, consistently making higher lows. Any day now we could see some nice complimentary news following up on the fantastic NI report. The TA work done by some here has made for interesting reading and it's fun to watch how accurate (inaccurate) the different indicators are.
I've read that report a couple more times since I've been in IHUB jail and it's amazing what little nuggets you can pick up. There is such unbelievable potential for WORLD CLASS mineral value in the Nemegosenda property. It's astonishing. I can barely wrap my mind around the idea of 10's (or 100's) of BILLIONS of dollars worth of mineable assets. BILLIONS of dollars of value for 10 cents/share? Are you kidding me?!?
We are in for such incredibly exciting times over the next couple years. Every month we should be able to anticipate updates on drill results, financing, uplisting, financials, etc. All the while the global demand for our product is increasing.
The perfect storm is brewing. Hope you've got the stones to hold onto every last one of your shares. At this point in time, I'm thinking anything under $1 is a screaming BUY (regardless of what American Bulls has to say)...
Glad to be back. Let's close out the week strong and maybe look towards a PR in the next couple weeks that updates us on continued drill results. Perhaps they'll even surprise us with info that multiple drills are now turning, thus expediting our 18 month timeline that a certain poster here was using as the basis for his/her fearmongering.
Here's to a big green Friday!!!
ok, i get it...you're one of "those" guys...it's amazing what you can learn about a person after 2 little posts...enough to know who's not worth the time...
take care
excuse me? are you trying to say something here?
pretty darn sure my post wasn't directed at you...
Fair enough. Consider it done. So I can resume posting on 8/13/09?
I only opened the one new account to "start fresh" so to speak.
Won't happen again.
IHUB Matt hasn't answered my PM, so would you please let me know what I need to do to regain my posting priveleges. Thank you for your consideration.
ATTN: IHUB Matt
I would be interested to know how I can regain my posting privileges. Appreciate your consideration in this matter.
Thanks.
Yep, pretty sad that ANYONE is buying the BS he's selling. I must say that those people deserve what they get.
This board, with the help of IHUB admin who trumps SPARKS power and efforts to clean it up, has turned into something I really don't want to be part of anymore.
I think I'll just check in on occasion but don't really want to be affiliated with the garbage being left around here. Quite frankly it's disgusting and IHUB should be embarrassed. I'm embarrassed FOR THEM. Disgraceful.
Later friends (you know who you are). I encourage you to buck the "sheep" mentality and trust your own DD. Don't be swayed by the manipulators and fear-mongerers that are now allowed to permeate this once-reputable board.
I'm out for a while. Take care.
Nice one Threw-er-back...some excellent points there. Welcome back brother!
Good things in our future to be sure!
just send a TOS Violation report to the IHUB admin every time he posts with the offence as "SPAM" which is exactly what it is - repetetive posting with the attempt to manipulate the share price down.
i am working on something larger to put an end to it, but in the meantime, please EVERYONE send TOS violations to IHUB admin if you feel it is warranted (which it obviously is here IMO)
Thank you for contributing yet another piece of evidence that will be going to management and the SEC where you are stated false items as FACT, not your opinion in an attempt to manipulate the price down. You are building quite the case against yourself. I encourage you to keep it up. The penalties could be quite severe...
Nice one. Spot on IMO.
It now, as it has been for some time, a waiting game...
The future is bright, just have to be able to see through our current "haze"...
PM b/a tightening? .088 x .09 - is this correct?
GM all...think green thoughts...
nice one tony...
did you happen to find out what the distribution of those additional 6 will be? more specifically, are they international (say, Chinese perhaps?)
just curious.
thanks.
Yep and posts like that, that are stated as FACT, not opinion, should be subject to legal action.
I am actually compiling a list of his posts that are restored (or never deleted in the first place) and will be using these as "evidence" of sorts.
I suspect he will not be posting this for much longer.
so that's the price you're looking to re-enter at MTD? 3 cents?
i wish you luck...
it must be frustrating for individuals who sold for a significant loss and now all the charts and the fundamentals are pointing to a major positive reversal and those weak hands are now unable to re-enter...gosh, that's rough...dontcha think?
anybody else see that tumbleweed blow through here? ;)
it sure is quiet relative to the last few weeks...i suppose everyone's just patiently waiting for the "reversal" to take shape...
i guess the quiet conversation runs in line with volume.
i agree with a previous poster that a slow, steady rise in PPS each day will be just fine...half a cent here or there is beautiful with the occasional down day of the same should help us out down the road...we've had a long history here of consolidating and trading sideways while longs accumulate more shares...then we wait for anticipation of news and see a faster price increase (a "spike" if you will) prior to its release. pretty consistent pattern...
so long as the overwhelming trend is up/green/north/forward/higher, we'll be just fine!
GM Red et al...
Something else I noticed on the weekly there is that the last three weeks have been our 3 highest volume weeks ever, increasing each week.
Perhaps we really are hitting more radar screens and scans. Perhaps it's word-of-mouth that's causing the volume increase. Perhaps it's a small part of the knowledgeable mining community starting to take a position. Perhaps it's funds or institutional investors starting to take a position. Perhaps it's all of the above?
It really is nice to see more eyes on our little gem here. It also helps to create a more liquid trading environment where the exiting of a larger shareholder won't completely devastate the share price.
Let's see if we can make a new high this week and push our SP back into the teens!
Here's to a big green week...
well that we can certainly agree on! this company has as much, or more, potential as any listed on the pinks...and for that matter, as much as most big board stocks in this economy!
the future looks bright for any of us here willing to see it through
Wow...definitely a lot of stuff to chew on there...Thanks professor Red.
Can't say I fully understand or buy into all of it, but I'm certainly on board the downtrend reversal train!
Thanks for taking the time to explain that.
I strongly disagree with that...but the TA/FA debate has been re-hashed so many times I'm just going to say "let's agree to disagree" and not even get into it.
Very well said TS - I can agree that there is a place for both fundamental analysis and TA...
That said, the "weight" of each will vary by stock, especially on the pinks where not all companies are "legitimate" from a fundamental standpoint.
For example, SRSR is about a 90/10 FA/TA split as I see it - Can't rule out TA altogether as we have seen on this last run and subsequent pullback, but the catalyst for its price appreciation over the coming weeks and months will be the fundamental story.
Whereas with a shell company that's not technically a "company" per se, it might be 90/10 the other way with technicals leading the charge.
And then of course there will be those that meet somewhere in the middle.
Thanks TS for our thoughts. Some good stuff to chew on.
that's bold - your prediction based on what, might i ask?
not saying it won't happen, but that's a sizeable increase (especially on the heels of a pretty lousy trading week) to be predicting in 30 days!
but, as has been said: "fortune favors the bold", so here's hopin' you're right.
Nice one Low - some good DD there.
...and so the debate rages on b/w the fundamental followers (I'm in that camp) and the TA traders (I'm trying to understand that camp)...
And then there's Redstick - he's a Technimentalist! Way to buck the trend Red ;)
Post of the weekend to be sure.
A million thanks for sharing your thoughts Jim! Always a treat to read.
You're right - it really is all good...
Have a good one.
Hey Red & Dragon...
Ideally, where would you like to see us close today from a TA standpoint?
It's no secret I'm not much of a TA guy, but the bounce exactly off the 50ma and some of the other "indicators" of a reversal are seemingly too much of a coincidence to write off TA altogether.
Maybe as I learn more I'll become more of a believer.
TIA for your insight friends.
Some good thoughts there Dutch. Thanks.
Much of your post I agree with, a couple things I did not, but that's why it's an "opinion" I suppose - everyone is entitled to their own.
I think as more and more of the reserves get proven up and when the day comes where we are trading on a more reputable exchange, it won't much matter if we're "under the IHUB radar"...any swing, momo, flipper type traders will be dwarfed by the institutional/fund buyers. But again, that's just an opinion.
Have a good weekend friend! Enjoy this green SRSR day (here's hoping it stays that way)...
Nice one, E. Subtle and clever!
Here's to a nice green SRSR day to close out the week and renew faith heading into the weekend (long weekend up here in Canada!)...
observation: any time "they" drop it down below .09 it seems to get gobbled up REAL QUICK...
if we can get some better bid support and tighten up the spread a bit, couple it with some nice volume, we could be in for a nice afternoon...
but churning here to help solidify a relative "base" is also ok by me.
