Well here's to hoping that 3 years from now we are in the world series and the tortoise rounds too home base for the win! This next 6 months will define Titan. If we are on track 6 months from now it will be exciting. If they throw a curve ball and we are off track, I think most of us here will be out. GLTA GO TITAN!
I am from Arizona. The Diamondbacks started in 1998 as an expansion team. They won the World Series in 2001!!! I don't like baseball, but I would like to view Titan as that!!!
Anxiety everywhere, and there was some money made/lost today with WIDE volatility. I am sure some Titan investors took some money out to play. Probably a safe move for day traders. JNJ was down to 81 and then came back to 95 before settling at 92.82. Crazy moves... I work though and just let my Titan investment go up and down. It is hard to look at going under a $1, but I trust it will be back to the 2s. I don't know when it will, but I am not going to miss it for sure!!!!! And that is 100%+ I will feel F'n good about!
I think the video DID show us some new things. The hand controls sound totally new and unique to the market. The fact that the second screen will not only show radiographic images, but will be touch screen and document/log case and usage for the benefit of the surgeon and the OR. That is a huge "little" thing that shows they truly listened with point of sales. The fact that the effectors are new adds to a reusable snake arm, bringing surgeons "always" sharp scissors and costs low. Fowler even said ROBOTIC SURGERY AT THE PRICE OF CURRENT DAY LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY. If that is true, we are in for a ride! We learned the more comfortable seat position and the 3D monitor/glasses with future 3D screens/without glasses to come soon. We learned of 3 learning lab/hospitals to set up in Europe. OK many new things I didn't know about. I am pumped. I am not pumping. I think the upside is more than the risk at this point. The PPS does not reflect where there are.... it reflects a frustrated uninformed base... WE JUST GOT MORE INFORMED
Totally agree. And with some solid volume! My only stock in the green today. Of course, I just have a hard time believing it could be beaten down any further then it already is!! The AGM was helpful. I'm kind of hoping it stays priced like this for another 5 weeks though so I can convert some money coming into more TItan. The overall market is scary looking...
Also we all need to remember... snake arm tech ALLOWS single incision. The current straight articulating stick tech NEEDS multiport. The camera being centered in between snake arms is more intuitive feeling. And by the sounds of it, the arm/finger controls bring this to the surgeon like never before. Cool stuff!
I am very glad to see the AGM video! It explained more than what we knew, with details about the time line that haven't been discussed fully. I have gone from "this could be at 50-100 PPS some day" to recently "maybe 6-8 and I would be satisfied", to "I think they may go this alone and we will hit 50-100 some day!" I feel good about where we are going, and also that there is A LOT OF SHIT GOING ON that we don't hear about! There is some major time consuming things accomplished and I now feel like they are not the passive poor management that I was beginning to worry for. And now we have good explanation and reason for the overall silence. LONG on TITAN!
Your post made me laugh... and by the way, TRXC will be put out of misery completely by the U of Nebraska's project IMO. For your sake, I hope we are a little wrong and you make some money there. But your insistence is quite comical.
Well, maybe not a curtain opening show, but they will certainly have something to say and be proud. Even if it is at a booth. They can't keep this quiet forever! Ximedica will have built an incredible piece of robotic machinery to be verified and used. They will want to talk about it. Screw Titan... it is good business for them! "THIS IS WHAT WE DO" mentality will come out of Ximedica. We have 3-4 months and the secret is out. What the world does with it and how the PPS reacts, we speculate...
It appears that the University of Nebraska has caught some attention with their robot platform. Is this the Google/JnJ baby??? virtualincision.com Posted a couple of weeks ago, but now with financing in place to support trials for colon resection. It doesn't look like they are shooting for any other indications at this time.... odd.
The questions are all over the place here!! I truly think the reality is that the competition is going to be fierce and every one is trying to be secret and protect the IP. Look at JNJ/Google, they are saying NOTHING about their plans or with who or when or where. TItan isn't the only one playing hush hush here. The gamble is who is going to have the best product and who is going to come out first. If I compare SPORT with virtualincision or with TRXC or with the nothing that JNJ/Google has shown, I say SPORT and ISRG's single port win hands down. But SPORT has some distinct advantages over ISRG in maneuverability and cost. The next 4-6 months are going to be interesting.
I like that Ximedica is headlining a robotic conference in December at the same time the SPORT is supposed to be done and delivered for verification and trials.
I also must say, THIS is difficult to wait through, even though I KNEW it was going to happen!!! I sure wish for good news and movement sooooooooon. This PPS below 1.2 blows!!!
I must say after looking at this video, they have a great deal of work on STERILITY. The way they promote it, shows their lack of intraoperative experience. The incision is huge and REQUIRES another port. This is like hand assisted single port current practice, with no obvious advantage.... IMO
Ok, got it to link up... Yes very interesting, Rocko. Thanks for posting. It sure does seem to match a Titan interest at the very least. Of course, any innovative start up could say the same thing. I just wish Hargrove was a woman!! Maybe that is why Page is involved!! LOL!
Hmmm nothing seems to link up to the address
EVERYTHING IS SPECULATION. Fun to dream big. Scary to take a chance with so many directions that are out there. I feel VERY confident that Titan will make a product and show it within 6 months though. The PPS has to react some to that?! After that.... who the hell knows. But I am holding tight for the next year, because I just can not imagine that we won't hit at least the prior highs of 2.52!! That is over 100% of gain from this point and would put me in a nice (not crazy happy) positive territory overall. We are there....aren't we??
I think that is the plan with mgt all along. It sure is painful to watch the daily bottom line though! Nice to see days like today! I would love to see it back above 2 by the end of the year. I truly think it is possible and all of this will be a bad memory
I think there are many reasons to need more money POTENTIALLY. In protecting IP, it has been discussed that Titan mgt is intelligently preparing themselves for the inevitable lawsuits. If a company like JNJ or ISRG decides to litigate with the idea it will break the back bone and send the company to oblivian, they have to now rethink that! The litigation will be a waste of time for everyone and Titan will come out surviving anyway. Overall this is a good thing. They have it as an insurance plan. It is always the little guy sued by the big guy with the hope the little guy will fold their cards and go home. TITAN HAS SAID.... WE ARE IN THIS GAME. All IMO of course
The study will be shown to be flawed in that the surgeries chosen to be done robotically are MORE complicated and with the advent of technology, the mistakes expected to be there, and the tech vetted and improved upon. Every new tech in medicine is associated with a "growing period". Just like flight, space advances and maritime advances... There will always be naysayers and they will go to their graves that way as the world passes them by... GO TITAN
I think that the disappearance of a few people is the most odd thing... On the other hand, we all KNEW this time of year would be hard on PPS and lacking of PR. QUIT WHINING! The IP is being protected. They are working feverishly and we will get PR in due time. I have a lot on this stock because I believe the tech is there and sorely needed. The competition is concerning, but no need to delay the outcome with frivolous litigation because of full disclosure now. Maybe I am being to trustworthy here, but I know at the very least, we all expected this lull in the summer. The bad mouthing is just going to make new investors leery of investing and that certainly won;t help the PPS.
Comparing past charts at these volumes and on the upside, this is headed towards .035-.04!!! Just added
Totally agree
All of the future competitors are touting a smaller more mobile platform that is cheaper. Just because that is us doesn't mean it isn't someone else too. I wish it were, but I just have a feeling it is one of the University projects out there. Plus as some have said, we don't want to build ourselves up assuming it is just to be VERY let down. The PPS would reflect that disappointment as well, just like seeing the PPS go down in a company after a "record" quarter, BUT they are not meeting market expectations. I agree, we are in the summer lull that the timeline told us would happen. The main question is where the PPS would meander. And when the BOTS will be done??? First day of 4th quarter or last??
I think Titan sounds like the most viable option for competing with ISRG at this time. Everyone is saying how long it takes to develop this technology therefor they are not worried about other's being so close. Well, in the same respect, we need to be patient with Titan development! To me, it appears that they have amped up the work knowing the competition is coming. The burn rate has nearly tripled since last year!! Of course it would be nice to know HOW the money is being spent! My take on it and mgt's relative silence, is that we are working ahead of schedule. They have been "attacked" or aggressively talked to for a "cheap" buyout, thus the poison pill clause just added. I think they are more hoping that the finished products to be sent out in a few months are enough to increase the PPS to exercise warrants. I think we are all nervous about it. If it doesn't the financing will occur and the future hopes of a "certain" PPS will dwindle a bit, but still be considered a great investment (maybe 8-10 instead of 16-20) in the next two years. I am ok with more competition especially if we are superior or out first. It sounds like some alliances were made when talking to hospital systems and our physician panel docs work at some pretty high quality facilities. SPORT will be in place. It will need to get good reviews, and better reviews with the more competition. Like McDonalds, there is a LOT of room for viable and in fact wildly successful competition world wide.
I did send a message via the "contact" on the web site last week addressed to Hargrove. I wanted to know if the business side is being handled appropriately. I have received no response so far and that kind of tics me off.... MGT NEEDS to be there as a business!! The tech is for the investors to OWN. For this I am not too happy, but everything else, I am confident with.
Unless they are planning on buying Titan, of course.... So many interesting possibilities out there! I just hope the one that happens benefits us greatly!
I emailed Hargrove yesterday with the main concerns of financing and competition that seems to be showing itself. Requesting not insider info, but to know what management is doing to protect our investment and for them to deliver answers to questions that would be normal for an investor to ask and need to know. I hope he answers...
ISRG got downgraded in Morgan Stanley's health sector while Lifescience was upgraded. ISRG has taken a beating the last few days. I think we are mostly seeing a shadow effect because we are in the same sector. But Execs at ISRG could be pushing it along by manipulation. Get rid of Titan (competition) and they have a PPS that might recover. Titan could take 100's of millions from their bottom line, so if they spend a few hundred thousand $ at these low volumes (and prices) to keep Titan PPS low (and maybe keep it from funding), I would see it as worth the risk for them.
On one hand, I am upset that the price is this low. It shows that somebody (Competition) might be manipulating the price down as far as possible, so new news won't bring it up enough to exercise the warrants, or poor mgt??? On the other hand, I am upset at this PPS today, because I wish I had a shitload of money to buy at this price!!! Crazy!
Yes, last November was a bit of a shock to many. Ultimately, for the greater good. But last November if they didn't also say "We are fully funded to production and FDA approval", many more would have bailed. If they change their tune and say they need another round of financing, after pushing a fully funded extended timeline, trust will be slippery here and although I believe in SPORT, I will start to distrust the implementation. Many other players are going to have their hand at this technology, so TITAN better get out there first (don't consider Surgibot a threat) and do it well. There will be a short window to success and not being funded will not bode well. I sure the heck hope they have some good info coming that exercises some of these warrants in the next 3-4 months. This last week has been hard to watch...
i agree totally
If one has a 100k shares and gets out at 1.4 That is $140,000. Say they buy back in at 1.2. That is a HUGE gamble of course. When do you decide to buy??? Ohhh, when everyone else is... So getting all your buy at 1.2 is NOT going to happen. BUT, say it did. You would have 116,667 shares. If this were to go to 20 PPS like many here have predicted, your gamble will have gained you 333,400 out of an original 2 Million dollar investment. Now, 333K sounds good... but out of over 2 Million it becomes less significant. People can take their risk and have their own stresses, but to time the market and get out or in at the right time is a GAMBLE. This is STILL a solid investment with a company that is hitting all their marks.
The reverse of the above, which could very well happen.... The same person sells their 100k shares and is sitting on $140K. An announcement RANDOMLY comes that JNJ/Google are looking at Titan. The PPS goes to 2.5 overnight! #*%&%(#*!!! You buy in because you know it's going to 20! But now you can only buy 56K shares at that price, which at PPS of 20 equals 1.12 Million. OHhhh..... pooor you.
I am adding at these low prices, until mgt proves that there is no SPORT or it is delayed by another 2 years (because that is when competition might hurt us). The news is solid recently, but it is not news to make people RUN to the stock. Not enough NEW people to run to the stock. I don't know how low this may drift or how much mgt cares (i wish they did more... it would make me feel warm and fuzzy to be sitting at 3-4), but I am not willing to gamble that reentry point. I am LONG and STRONG. Wish I had another $140K to buy another 100K
That old saying, "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is..."
It makes SPORT look like the SURGIBOT?????!! Really??? Are you in Colorado smoking weed??? Sorry, but that is the most ridiculous statement based on this video. This robotic platform is...
1. NOT single site which is what surgeons and tech are going towards
2. Integrated table does NOTHING but limit the use of the table for other nonrobotic cases
3. LOOKS SLOW! I wanted to push it along after 2 seconds of watching
4. End effectors are big and clunky looking
5. Suturing on a plastic doll is NOTHING like suturing on a real person/tissue
6. Chest surgeons will want single site surgery because the entry point and camera will need to be together. There is something called the mediastinum that will get in the way of this idea. The human body is not one large open cavity in the chest!!
These guys may have another option and many OTHER options will come and go, but to say that this makes SPORT look like the Surgibot is laughable!!!
I found the video showing very good dexterity for the task at hand. As far as a "suction" or "retraction" extra port, this will need to be in place in the DaVinci as well. The 3rd arm is possible there for retraction on a stable/static case. But rarely is suction a static need and neither is retraction. To have an assist at the bedside is currently necessary and will continue to be necessary with single incision formats. Even the laparoscopic single incision choleys have a "side" port that is slipped along side the "single" port for suction and active retraction. The assistant can be a surgeon, physician assistant, nurse 1st assist, or surgical tech first assist. All bill for their services...
The two arm platform is practical and has plenty of dexterity beyond current straight robotic arms if you truly compare. Of course, all in my observation and opinion. I think the video could have been a little more exciting, but it showed good stuff.
If he was thinking of future buyout or partner, then NC is a good choice with all the big tobacco. A gamble when the laws aren't in place of course... But knowing that he can process kenaf and that he has a LOT of it, and it can be processed there, can show the state legislatures and big business that it can be successful and benefit the state thus influencing change?? Perhaps a screaming deal on land??? I am sure he wishes the state went in the favor of his decision already, but he is not married to it ultimately if it doesn't work out there soon...
We are looking at one year lows. A stock usually goes two very different ways.... The way of bankruptcy if the company is down and out (I don't think we are near that yet) or the way of mass buying in at good prices on any sense of positive news. I believe we are in for an up run soon. This is FAR from laying down and dying. Hemp has a huge future. It is just going to take time and patience to see it through. Hopefully HEMP will be a company that will capitalize greatly on the future of hemp.... Until North Carolina legislation passes, HEMP will cycle with the manipulations of penny stock traders. Good luck catching the gyrations to all! But if you don't, HEMP is a potential great long hold IMO.
I have to say, when I saw that, it seemed like a no brainer. But JNJ looks likely and that wouldn't necessarily match up. I think the most clear thing is that management doesn't seemed concerned. And that may not mean that another finance isn't going to happen, it just means that they are not concerned about it. All told, we are still in an area of "anything can happen". They could be so damn confident on going alone from feedback and the way it works, that they know the PPS will get crazy high in due time. Maybe it is an interested parter or two or three for acquisition?! I think we are just guessing and until they say, it could be anything. That is why I keep buying when I can and holding.... I am not the only one doing this, it is clear from this board. Sooner or later the PPS will be wound so tight from increased % of long term holders, that when they do their coming out party, it is going to be massive IMO. Maybe like some of the MJ stocks that went crazy a year and a half ago. Some 1000% rises over a couple of weeks! Or... I suppose it could tank, because they mismanage moneys and take to long and JNJ's version is awesome and has nothing to do with Titan. That is the truth of it. All of these puzzle pieces only fit so well, but the truth is, we are too early to know. The truth will happen before year's end IMO. Financing will dictate the need to spill the beans.... GLTA
Definitely like what is going on!
Losing money can bring out the Debbie Downer in a lot of people. This never has and will not be an overnight sensation UNTIL IT IS. I dont know when that will be but I certainly dont want to miss it!! Definitely curious how the market will respond the rest of the week. If it goes down... I buy more... if it goes up... I dont buy as much but am happy.
And the M5 is truly a beautiful car!! One of my partners has the M4. Another has an M5. I used to have an M3. Amazing cars.
By the end of next year we will be in a totally different place. It will not matter if there is dilution with another offering or warrants exercised... the end of next year this will not be at 1.4. The silence sucks. But I suspect there is reason. This is not a ponsi scheme after all. We have a real company that is on the precipice of major changes in robotic surgery going forward. YES, with another big time competitor in ISRG, but with lots of market to share. I just do not see any company that will compete with the potential % gain in PPS over the next 18 months. I hate the "not knowing of details", but I am still in love with the potential this next 2 years brings. A 50% increase in PPS over 2 years would be awesome to most, and we all KNOW this will be well above 2.1 in 18 months. Even 50% over the high of 2.52 (if that is where you are bought in) is a PPS of 3.77 in 18 months! This latest annual meeting gave me NO INDICATION that in 18 months we will not be staring at a full working robot being sold around the world and awaiting FDA approval for USA sales. PPS at 8+++++++ ez and primed for a huge buyout.
