Awesome find! And during nap time so I should be able to listen as well.
Maybe he'll drop a few (a lot) of big insights...?
New GE video showing partner Avio Aero in Italy using Additive manufacturing. Good one to keep an eye on...
Yeah I highly doubt PR from sigma tomorrow, but the air show is still going through the weekend so I suspect we hear some more news/contracts from GE.
Woot! Loved this close, let's keep it going!
P.S my crystal ball says PR next week.. Honeywell started Beta testing Deform in May, I'm thinking update perhaps?
But it's a lighter shade of red
Somebody wants to join in the fun!
Up we go!
Liking this new high too, dare I say we close above .12's??
Fabulous video! Mr morris looks excited as does the rest of the LEAP team. Really liked the "upcoming production of unprecedented amount", LOTS of weight and responsibilities on their shoulders to meet those 6000+ engine orders on time with quality manufacturing.
IMO They ****need**** Printrite3d to accomplish this.
I have faith that GE knows exact what they're doing as does Sigma Labs.
Glta!
Well at least you'll have plenty of cash to buy yourself Depends.
Congratulations! And agreed, commercialization should be up and going by then!
GE to sell appliances division (free up more money for aerospace and energy?)

Amen. Sure wonder if they read this board ever?
We're overdue for something, anything that says "everything is right on schedule and working really well!"
I think your exactly right. All anyone really cares about (at this point) is the end result.
Say for example a company is using a regular computer printer for printing pictures. Does the general public care what type of printer is being used? How about the specific type of ink? Nope! Just that the final picture looks good.
That's where, I believe, we are right now. With LEAP up and "flying" so to speak and the fulfillment of the 6000+ back orders being met on time or ahead of schedule due to fast production, THAT is when we still start to see more attention on what type of actual equipment/software GE is using. Just IMO.
*Update* Wohler's blog regarding German Newspaper and GE's planned order of 100 EOS systems. :-/
A July 1 story on the German news website Wirtschafts Woche reported that GE Aviation intends to order 100 metal systems from EOS. An official announcement is expected during the Farnborough International Airshow later this month. We have since learned that this story is inaccurate. According to GE Aviation, no order has been placed. A vendor has not been selected and the number of systems to be ordered has not been determined. While unit sales of metal AM systems increased 75.8% last year, according to our research for Wohlers Report 2014, production capacity at AM system manufacturers is still relatively low. An order of this magnitude would certainly jolt EOS’s production capability and tax its resources. It will also produce a ripple effect for other metal AM system manufacturers."

Absolutely. Tired of them dancing around Sigma Labs name, but I'm (just assuming) there are specific restrictions in place right now. Possibly Sigma wants to announce on it's own?
"We need to have systems in place that anticipate a failure before it happens,” says Steve Rengers, principal engineer for additive manufacturing at GE Aviation. “This has not been done before.”
Monitoring quality throughout the entire build process is crucial, since it can take days or weeks to print a part, depending on its complexity. “We are really pushing the envelope on process monitoring,” Rengers says. “By using sensors to collect data, we can determine the mechanical properties of the part.”

New GE video. Additive manufactured components for military fighter jets.
Agreed, 3D hype is up and lots of eyes towards aerospace manufacturing. I wish they'd release a picture of their spiffy new EOS machine maybe with Mark in a bikini next to it showing it off? That'd definitely gain some attention.
We may get part of our wish today, Tuesdays are great PR days.
This is why we're all here:
Pretty nice set-up, eh? But I guess it needs to look high end when your dealing with million dollar business negotiations...
GE certainly has the money to boost PrintRite3D development and publicity!
Thank you for takin the time to do this math. Really puts things into perspective! Love this little company and it's bright future!
Go Sigma!
Good video of GE's display at Farnborough.
GE's Story at Farnborough
You were right. He posted on the ihub 3Dprintingstocks board
"Was going to talk about SGLB also, but ran out of time! "
:-/
Airshow on CNBC today. Would love to see interview with GE regarding EOS purchase...
Good luck and here's to "green" Monday!
Good news, lots of movement forward with LEAP. Maybe Sigma will be mentioned in one of these LEAP PR's soon!
Agreed!
Realized that link may not work:

CFM, a joint partnership of General Electric and French aerospace company Safran, says it plans to close more than $8 billion in deals with airplane manufacturers for its new engine, the Leap, at the biannual Farnborough International Airshow that begins in England on July 14.

Nice! Wonder what's up?
Congratulations! Hope everything goes smoothly!
Sigma's NEW Hire!

I have zero engineering background so not sure what he is talking about on his bio, anyone care to read and figure out what he was brought on for?
Not sure if this video was already posted?
Not much new but loved seeing all the EOS machines in the background
Interesting their speculation on what 3D printers they're going to purchase. Next week's predicted announcement couldn't be more well timed!
Even with no mention of Printrite/Sigma (which I'm not anticipating) the announcement will bring more attention to the additive manufacturing sector. I.e "yes it's really happening and we're spending millions on it" thank you GE!
I agree! We all want GE to make a HUGE announcement stating we LOVE Printrite3d and it's this amazing software but why should they? They love their secret little gem and it is NOT in their best interest to show it to the world.... (at this time)
It's up to Sigma themselves to reveal it, i.e with their fancy new EOS printer...
I already posted this link but it's a good one so doesn't hurt to have it twice!
congrats! Welcome to the Sigma Club! Or as we've been referred to in the past, "cult"
New article!

The company will also have to find a bigger site to produce the fuel nozzles and expects to announce at July's Farnborough Air show where it will be.

Gary Anderson aka 3dprintinvestor will be speaking here soon and mentioned he will be talking about 3D investment opportunities and specifically will name Sigma Labs.
I'm watching twitter for any highlights or pictures and will be sure to post them here. It's early here on West coast yet..
